| Subject: Salamander Contract! Training [p] Tue 19 Apr 2011, 5:22 am | |
| As a cool and quiet morning slowly lifted, the heavenly sun and the inhabitants surrounding the Great Lake rose from their slumber, Yamato found himself once again in the depths of Kusgakure's lush nature land. Birds and small insects could be found chirping and making odd, yet strangely annoying sounds. Placing these in the back of his head, Yamato concentrated on his goal today, his brain buzzing with anticipation in the scroll clutched in his right hand, slightly sweaty now for fear of losing the scroll. It was another find in the depths of his house, a secret ninjutsu scroll, possibly belonging to his parents. He recalled the last time he was outside in the land that is Kusagakure, it was for training, his One-Handed seals training, but this time he was going to be training something a tad, ok, greatly different. Yamato sat himself against a nice tree, its canopy huge and converging with the other trees, creating a nice big cool shade, yet allowing rays of sunlight through. He rested his back against the back of the tree, and opened the scroll on top of his lap, a ray of sunlight convieniently placed right on top of the scroll. It read:
"Acient stories fortell the everyday fight between animals, snakes, hawks, frogs, and other predators fighting for survival in their habitat. However these stories differ in than the sizes and statuses of these creatures were legendary! 100ft tall frogs, trained in the art of the ninja, battling it out with 100ft long snakes, adept with ninjutsu as well, with these giant creatures fighting for the sake and honor of their species! Many many generations ago, seeing the great power, potential, and eventual superiority of the humans and their ninjutsu as well as armies, most of these creatures managed to reach an agreement, a contract of sorts, with the humans. In exchange for the animals help in combat, the humans were to leave their natural habitats in peace, though only the most worthy were allowed to sign these contracts. Though sounding strangely like folkore, the technique exists today, with the greatest warriors signing their alleigance with their animal they have an affinity to! Following the handseals, boar, dog, bird, monkey, ram, once may call upon their power!"
Below were age old illustrations of the previously mentioned mythological creatures. Yamato couldn't believe it, did he hit the jackpot or what!? The power to call upon creatures of mass destruction, power, and wisdom, was sitting on his lap. He was already on his feet, a rare smile on his face. He was pretty adept at the memorization and formation of handseals, thanks to his One-Handed seals training. Boar, Dog, Bird, Monkey, Ram, these handseals swirled in his head, and danced in his hands, praciticing the seals. Practice made perfect, as well as repetition, and Yamato continously formed these seals in sequence, without chakra just so he could get the hang of it first. His excitement got the better of him, as he placed his feet shoulder-width apart and slapped his hands together in concentration, he was ready. Calling upon his chakra, he could feel the energy resonate within him, and within seconds the chakra within him flipped, turned, shaped, and molded in odd directions. Boar - his chakra did a backflip, Dog - his chakra swirled in a ball form, Bird - His chakra condensed itself as it found the appropriate amount, Monkey - His chakra began to take form by molding itself into the technique. Finally, the moment he was waiting for, Ram, and he felt the technique complete. For a fraction of a second, he had no idea what to do or what to expect, and he felt the wisdom of centuries of ancestors before him urge his hand to slap the ground! With adrenaline running clean through his system, he quickly pulled back his hand and twice as fast, slapped the palm on the ground. Another fraction of a second, and Yamato's eyes widened as a seal formed around his hands and across the ground, and he felt impending doom come as an explosion of white smoke engulfed him, the words "Oh shit!" uttered in his mind. Yamato trembled with fear of what the technique brought infront of him, instincts automatically placing his arms in a defensive position across infront of his face. He had to admit, it was possibly the fastest moment where fear dropped to dissapointment.
At the base of where he slapped his hand, all that he found was a rather large scroll, the size of his body. Raising one eyebrow, he opened the scroll and elegantly pushed the scroll away, unraveling it and causing the scroll to roll about 3 meters before hitting a tree. His eyes quickly took in the powerful information of the scroll, the summoning scroll! He didn't know what to do or say, he found his mouth invonluntarily open, and quickly closed it as he tried to read the acient kanji. It was impossible, he couldn't recognize the language very well, different characters had different meanings. He did however find multiple, he guessed 'signatures.' He instinctivley bit his thumb, drawing blood and allowing it to cover his hand. Slowly and carefully, he signed his name, following the example of the previous signatures. Slowly and carefully now, he layed his hand upon the scroll, and instantly felt a searing hot sensation, causing him to rip his hand apart from the scroll. The blood paw print was steaming, but after a second stopped. The signature was now permanent. Almost as fast as it came, the scroll dissapeared in another great cloud of smoke, leaving Yamato in a confused daze. What the heck had just happened!? He looked at his hand that he had signed the contract with, and felt a certain ancient power radiating from it, a cosmic feeling. Following this 'feeling,' he formed the handseals for the technique once again, this time, looking at his hand with a serious look, yelling "Summoning Jutsu!," as many before him uttered.
He didn't remember seeing anything, infact, all he remembered was the sound of his hand hitting the ground with a thud. A cloud of white smoke enveloped the area once more, addmitley suffocating him for the third time. Unusual and ominous winds swept through his area, causing his clothes to whip back behind him, his blond hair gleaming in the sunlight, whipping backwards with the wind as well, as he grabbed his right by the wrist with his left hand, right dominant foot infront of him. He had no idea what to expect. The smoke was clearing rather slowly, and Yamato could make out a huge figure within its ranks. Yamato had the height and stature of an eleven year old boy. What was standing infront of him, was clearly a 10ft tall, who knows how many pounds monstrosity! He could clearly tell it was a salamander, it had a long tail, 2 large hind legs, 2 muscular but skinny arms, a huge body, and a grin across its face, blue sknn, and towered over Yamato. Realization must've hit both of them at the same time, he was it's summoner, and this was Yamato's summon. Laughing slowly and with a bit of triumph, Yamato extended his hand infront of him as to pat its head. It looked at him critically, and then silently hunched over to allow the action. This was the summon he was paired with. Yamato let out a true smile, "Hey there..." |
