The river which flows under the bridge

The Heaven and Earth Bridge, the place which held great value to the country of Grass and to the country of Earth. But, under it, a great river passed. This river, it was as wide as the length of the great bridge which was over it, while its depth variated from place to place. This river was quite rich with food and it was fresh and clean, so it could be used for drinking. But, that was not the only use for this river, some humans have found a new use to it. Lost, abandoned by its country, a shadow of a once great man moved through the forests which surrounded this area. The tall trees covered his presence as he moved from one branch to another, quickly as he could this individual reached the riverside, sticking to one of the trees which was the nearest to the river. From there, the eyes of this figure quickly scanned the surrounding area, watching to see if anyone else was there. But, no presence could be found, it was as if this place was abandoned.

After a few moments, the body of this masked individual moved once more, making a large leap from the tree and all the way till the river. Upon the moment when his feet touched the gentle surface of this body of water, they did not go through it. Instead, the gently landed on it as if it was a solid object. Once more, the masked man looked around himself, watching to see if anyone heard him or noticed him arriving. Once more he came to a conclusion that he was alone in this area and that nobody else was there. So, now that he was certain that nobody was watching him, he pulled out a scroll with a technique which he came here to learn. Upon opening the scroll which contained this technique, the eyes of the figure scanned through it, memorizing as much date as possible. After the young man memorized the process for performing one technique, he did the same with the other one. Now that he knew how to perform those techniques, some practice was required.

Suddenly, his hands moved, forming a hand seal of some sort. While his hand did that, the individual himself started releasing some of his water element chakra, while using the process of shape manipulation in order to create a ninja technique. Suddenly, from the body of this masked figure, a black fog emerged. But, as it emerged, it started rising up into the sky above. When it reached a certain height, the fog suddenly transformed into a black cloud. From it rain started to fall right away. But, this was no ordinary rain, it was completely pitch black. That wasn't the only difference, this rain was not composed out of water droplets. Instead, oil fell from these clouds. Noticing how the technique which he used was a success, the young masked man moved on to the second technique. For it, he performed more than one hand seal, while releasing tad more chakra than before. Suddenly, in front of the figure, the river started to twist. Then, a vortex was formed, sucking in all of the branches which fell on the surface of the river, together with the fishes which were passing through that part of the river.

With the training completed, the young individual left the area in a hurry.
