Name: Flash Speed Rank: A Type: Physical Physical Requirements: Must Specialize in Weaponry or Taijutsu. Training Requirements: A 1600 word training post is required to gain this special characteristic. Description: The final level in the art of speed accessible to those who have undergone intense training in high speed movement. The possessor of this talent has an increased speed of 60% which makes them remarkably faster. At this stage their speed has transcended so high that their movements are essentially instant, being capable of enclosing short distances in a blink and moving at undetectable levels.
In that rumble up in the sky both shinobi looked up and saw how the sky darken just a bit. They both could feel the humidity in the air changed dramatically. A storm would normally stop a regular human being or postpone it until the storm had passed away from the area. Some weaklings just couldn’t handle a bit of lightning and thunder. Heiki and Seishin took the opportunity to have a bit of a spar before they went inside. They had a good hour or so before both Seishin and Heiki had to leave but within their eyes Seishin and Heiki already had an ultimatum. One of them was not going to be able to move after this. Seishin plan to put his son in place. He planned on getting his son to drop to the ground yet again. He was excited, which wasn’t the proper thing to think but he couldn’t lie to himself that he wasn’t excited. His son has grown stronger, much stronger from the last time he had trained him (which was two weeks ago for reference sake). He saw the improvement his son has been making; he was making a name for himself in Kumogakure no Sato. He could see that some of the Kurayami didn’t favor that too much seeing that the dogma in their clan was to be peacemakers and not war creators. If anything, the Kurayami should be the latter and not the former. They weren’t gifted with these abilities, no they were God sent. If the Kurayami were peacemakers then wouldn’t they had involved themselves in the current war time situation? Wouldn’t it be their privilege, for the sake of peace, to involve themselves in politics and themselves in countries in order to obtain what they so believed in. It was agitating to say the least. The thought of it made his teeth grind against each other scratching away at the bone that he would, later on in life, regret grind away the enamel. He was standing with his son on the surface of the lake that Heiki asked to be trained at. Heiki had grown a few inches last time he saw him and Heiki had notice how his father hasn’t aged since the last time. He never really asked how he always kept himself in good condition as such without really training all that much. Maybe after this he’ll ask him why. He tapped his boots on the foot of the water. It did little since it wasn’t solid and he felt like he was just getting his feet wet. But it was out of habit and they are right when they say hard habits are difficult to break.
They were fifty meters apart, Heiki and Seishin, linear to one another looking eye to eye. His father looked ready. That relaxed look on his face showed Heiki many things about his father in a very short instance. Heiki was proud to have him as a father and he was also proud that he was his son. He was grateful that he was born in this clan and he was grateful that he was given life by his mother and father. Heiki took a few steps, Seishin mimic those steps then they were quickly walking and then a jog then a light run and then a sprint and then-
These two spirits disappeared out of sight of one another. The sound of their movements whispered away without a trace or even a slight thought to even consider that they were once here in the flesh. The father and son had moved faster than the eye could possibly see.
It began to rain softly down on the lake making tiny ripples on the lake surface. In that short amount of time, it was possibly the quietest place to have taken a picture of drew something spectacular.
A hundred meters away from where they started off there was a large crash. Water erupted and fell up into the air crashing back down to the watery surface. Fifty feet away, there was the same premise; the water went up and down. The small creatures of the water soared into the air taking a gasp for water but instead getting a gasp of air and then slammed themselves down to the watery world they lived in. Many fishes died that day and perhaps many people could eat for free. For just a few seconds, this was repeated every fifty meters away. The splashing of water, the water crashing up and down and these two spirits were not to be seen.
Heiki appeared in the air. His head was turning left and right; up and down. His father had hid somewhere without him knowing it. This wasn’t good. His father was known for his stealth and if anything, he couldn’t let him get that advantage. His eyes caught a glimpse of a figure. Up above me! He looks up and saw his father coming down with a fist cocked back. He was coming at Heiki, his fist like the peregrine falcon’s beak. Heiki used his hands to grab the punch and held onto it. He absorbed the impact from the fist itself but he could still feel a large amount of pressure within his hand. If he could’ve felt that, he would’ve said ouch but instead he gave a blank look to his father’s cold one. Seishin tried to get his fist out of his son’s hand. He was a tad bit too slow as Heiki’s left foot came crashing down on the side of his head. Seishin last thought that came to mind before he went flying was the only word that anyone in that situation could say “Fuck!” While Heiki kicked, he let go of his father’s hand which made Seishin go move past him crashing into the water. Heiki turned his head and body. He landed softly on the water surface but he could feel the ripple effects of his father’s sudden crash. Seeing how surprised his father looked, he knew he wasn’t going to let him get away with that surprise counter. He chuckled at that. He was quick on his feet and sprints his way toward his father’s crash site leaving behind a long trail of water behind him. There was a flash of lightning in the darken clouds and a large rumble of thunder drummed through it like clockwork.
Seishin coughed up some water but he got up right away. He knew his son would take a chance to hit him again. Hell, he wasn’t dumb but neither was Heiki. If any, Heiki was a lot smarter and because of his ways, he’ll take the opportunity to get a good hit on him. Heiki was right upon him. He saw his son and his brain already took the information that his son was moving left and right and now it was just a matter of time. Heiki moved to the left but then he was too the right. He was fast, truly fast. He’s gain speed that has matched up with his, no, maybe he’s just a tad bit faster than he was. If he thought he had the advantage because of his speed increase, he was wrong. Dead wrong. When Heiki got close, he released a quick punch that even a normal shinobi would have a hard time blocking. It was fast and it was moving hard and it cut through the wind easily like a blade. Heiki had already dodged this and left an afterimage that was ingrained his fathers’ retina. Heiki had lowered himself and was now underneath his father who looked down. Seishin’s eyes look down and he could say again like everyone else would say in a situation where they have messed up.
Heiki made a pressing and hard high side kick up underneath the lower chin of his father which rose Seishin upward. No, that wasn’t the end of that. Heiki was also in the air with his father and continued to make side kicks up to his chin. This was rattling Seishin’s head over and over again until they were twenty feet high in the air. Heiki had grabbed his father by the collar and had his fist already back. Heiki grunted through his teeth and let out a battle cry when he released the punch to his father’s face. Lightning struck a few miles away from their present location.
Seishin had made his crash into the water but was on his hands and knees. Heiki landed on the surface of the water. He saw is father, on his hands and knees, coughing up water with a mixture of red in it. Oh great, he’s coughing up blood. I’m not going to live that down anytime soon. He didn’t dare to move to his father not out of fear but out of instinct. His father is comparable to a dangerous animal who has been injured by another dangerous animal. He is caged in and has means of escaping or is too weak to move. However, that didn’t mean it was ready to be beaten or killed. They were even more ferocious than they are when they were at their peak. He wasn’t going to tempt fate for the sake of trying to finish him off.
Heiki slowly moved closer. Seishin continued to cough out the remainder of what water he had consumed. He wiped his face of sweat, rain water, river water, saliva and blood off his face. It wasn’t a tasty mixture from what Heiki gathered. He set a foot down on the water and used it as a wedge so he could move himself up. Man, his father looked a wreck. He now had seen his father without his glasses in the first time in battle. He tried to see if he his father was going to say something but he was standing there, with that calm expression yet again looking at Heiki as if he was the one who was going to get caught and killed.
Heiki got into a stance. Since his father was up, there was no point of just letting him come at him. He started to move forward but then he paused in mid-sprint. He saw his father eyes shift to the left, then to the right. He took a step forward but then he got back on one knee “What-“ Seishin said in a hoarse voice “the fuck?” He was going to splash into the water but Heiki had went over to his father and caught him before he fell over and sank. Heiki grabbed him and placed him over his shoulder. He could feel his body going limp and he could tell that he was past his limit for today.
Heiki relaxed seeing that his father had all the fight fought out of him or rather beat out of him. He was both surprised, confused, curious and worried all at the same time but he was more so relaxed that his father had passed out on him. Just like his father said, their bodies had an instant shut off that came when it was out of energy. He tapped his father’s back and he made a soft groan.
“Let’s get you out of here. You’ll catch your death out here” It was a bit of Kurayami humor and he was beginning to realize how funny it was actually becoming. He began walking off the river and onto solid land. He looked up to the sky and saw that the clouds were moving northward. “Hmm, well if you look at that. That was a quick storm” Word Count: 1,943/1,600 |
