The Lit Apparition of Abelard

Lights and colors flared inside Abelard's mind as he projected his chakra image all the way from the Land of Lightning, inside the Missing Ninja Haven known as the Spark Nation. With a twist of light of various colors atop a black shadowy projection that vaguely resembled Abelard's figure emerged inside the Administration building bathroom. He knew that the image might be frightening to citizens of Kusa, so he opted for the staff bathroom. His projection phased through the door, being unable to open it. He walked to the desk of the Jounin on call. The man was incredibly startled to see Abelards shadowy, oily figure. He started, and said "Holy shit, what the" But Abelard's figure held up a hand, silencing him. "I am Abelard, Jounin of Kusagakure. My Emer-Pass is 3hws65b." Abelard waited as the the still incredibly freaked out jounin checked the number against the records. It was Abelards lucky day, as this man was one of his few friends in Kusagakure and was more apt to believe and trust him. The jounin checked the number and looked back up at Abelard "Well I'll be damned, it's you Abelard! Holy hell, I've never seen the Lit Apparition technique in use. Haha, so what brings..your uhm...Chakra projection to the Administration Office today, weren't you off saving some genin?" The Apparition of Abelard spoke in a metallic and slightly disconnected voice, but with a tone that had just the smallest hint of urgency. "The boy should be in the hospital by now. I went on ahead of him to track the person who had attempted to steal the blueprints from Kusagakure." Abelard paused, and the image shifted a little. Back in The Spark Nation, Abelard had been momentarily startled by a noise from below. He concentrated once again, and the image regained it's clarity. "There is an invasion force being amassed in the Spark Nation. I don't have a time frame, but there are reportedly 1,000 ninja and bandits in this group. I saw what I believe to be the leader. He appeared to be at least Jounin in Rank. I'm going to do some information gathering, and I'll get back to you in 4 days time. In the mean time, I need you to send out a carrier bird to Luxian Harmonia and Blaize Ryuzaki. Have him wheeled in on his hospital bed if necessary." The Jounin stared in awe at Abelards shadowy figure. "An invasion? No shit... I thought things were getting a bit too boring. Along with those two I'll assemble a small team of ninja to accompany you. We can spare a few." Abelard nodded, and then spoke "That's fine, but don't send anyone immediately, I'm going to do some information gathering first. In the mean time, I need you to issue an official change in the alert status from Normal to Guarded. We'll need a fullscale curfew, and have guards patrol the village at night for suspicious activity. If there's any part of this invasion happening from the inside, we need to root it out immediately." The Jounin spoke once more "I'll do that, and I'll go get those birds on their way as well." Abelard nodded and the Jounin disappeared. The Jounin issued the official alert and sent the carrier birds on their way. The birds would seek out Blaize and Luxian, scouring the village for them. Abelard needed the best.

Code:: lizard started to watch and observed what happened to in this very nation. It was easy for him to keep his stealth since he was off a small nature. Although when he saw Abelard using his jutsu the Lizard had to retreat to the shadows in order to keep himself hidden before return to Abelard’s shoulder again. After the witness and death of the man he started to wonder what the hell was going on here. The man who proved to be a match to Blaize was easily defeated by what seems to be one of the higher ups of this nation. As his mind was filled with such wonder and hatred he was stopped by Abelard so he could give him a message. Kaz was told that he had to go back to his world so he could be able to assist Blaze the next time he needs him and so he could send a message back to Blaize personally when he returns to Kusa. It seems he had done his part to help assist in the missions as he nodded. With the man that hurt Blaize dead he had fulfill his part of the mission. He started to nod and then he poofed to return back to the Lizard world.

A few hours after his entrance to the hospital, Blaize was feeling a lot better. His ribs were treated as well as placed within a proper brace. Because of the way he was hurt and his treatment it seems that he would have to play the waiting game for the ribs to be fully healed. A good four to seven days the doctor has told him. He was now lying in bed as he stared up at the ceiling. Replaying the match over and over again thinking what he could have done to have the scroll intact and him getting out safely. Every time he thought of an idea he could image the man smashing it to bits. It did not matter he was safe but he needed to grow and learn from this experience for him to even try to become a better shinobi. He started to make a fist as he hated to be resting. It was about late in the day, practically evening as he started to wonder what happened to his team. No doubt Kaz and Abelard had to catch up with the man by now. Hopefully it was in enough time that the man did not get help. He wondered what Hana would be going as well. Hana would probably had done her part to give the details that Blaize is in the hospital. As well as deliver the scroll to them that was hidden within her shirt. He started to smile a bit wondering how odd the person receiving it would be by getting the scroll from her shirt. Well it did not matter the mission was a success. If she was to report to the same man she knew that she would either be told something else or at least to go home and get some rest.

Yea rest is what they all needed after today but since there was work to be done I doubt they would be able to rest. Hana on the other hand would probably go and visit Mannox right after she finished reporting. She basically gave a confession on how much she liked him and how she had an interest in him. It is good that she gets to have a private life while being a shinobi. He still did not think one way or another to Mannox. He knew better then to judge a book by its cover and it only seem he open the first chapter. For now, Blaize need not to think of such trivial things and get better for his sake. Well until the bird came and knocked on his bed window.

The bird started to peck and peck at the window to get his attention. It did not take long to get it. He started to turn and see it was a messenger bird. It must have been for him. Was the supervisor at the administration building giving him a copy of what he told Hana or was it something else? Either way it was for him. He started to get up and walk slowly to the window and opened it. There he started to get the message off of the bird. As soon as that happened, the bird fell down the window and then opens his wings as flew away. His mission was done and Blaize guessed it just wanted to go home after the delivery. He started to smile as he then started to open the document. It was a summoning. It was a summoning in which Blaize was to return to the administration office. He was not sure of the name, he never heard of this person but he knew that he was summoned. The note mentioned that the person who is summoning them knows of his injuries and that to go to the administration center right away. Blaize started to sigh as he then started to get his jacket. “I just got a shower and comfortable in bed. Now I got to go in hospital pants and a jacket…damn it all” Even though he was a bit upset he knew it must have been of great importance. He started to open the window as he started to climb out of the window. He then felt a wince of pain as he started to curse under his breath. He then started to speak to himself. “It looks like I have to travel slow to the building or else I won’t be able to get better. I am glad the treatments gave me some mobility” With that he started to exit the building off the window and then landed on a rooftop and headed to the administration building.

It took him about double the time to get there because he did not want to risk hurting himself more then he has been. As he entered the building he started to ask the desk worker for the person that was in the note. The desk worker checked and then nodded at the name as she escorted him to a room. In the room she told him to sit down and wait for the person to join him. Blaize nodded and thanked the desk worker and entered the room. As he entered he slowly walked to a nearby chair and used the support of the arms to get himself to sit down. As he sat down he started to sigh in relief and then waited for this person who summoned him. Hopefully it was a status report on what has been happening.

He sat in his little shack looking over the multiple samples he had gathered. This place was one of Kusagakure's many gifts; a field of giant mushrooms of a multitude of species. Each had it's own properties that needed to be documented and as he saw it, over 95 of the 134 species he had found were in some ways poisonous. It wasn't necessarily a big deal but there he had many of these little shacks built throughout Grass Country for on site testing and siting. And to think, this wasn't mandated by anyone specific, no, this was just a hobby of his. This area was particularly interesting to him because the dense population of mushroom turned the spore filled air into a poisonous miasma. This was interesting with him as the composition of the air was a direct correlation to the proportion of the different species of mushroom in the area. It was also possible to create an antidote, or rather, an antibody, that would protect the body from the harmful effects of the air, and so he could immunize individuals to be safe with perhaps a booster every few years. This was the beginning of a brain storm in his mind; a defensive mechanism known as bio-defense, in which the surroundings themselves provide their own natural defense for a system. If these could be set up within the village itself and the member of the village immunized to it, all invaders would end up falling victim to the poison over time while the village citizens were just fine. It was an idea that took alot of logistics but would give Kusagakure it's own built in defense from the outside. He was working on his thesis slowly as he pondered these options, when a slight chakra came into his senses. It wasn't common that things were to wonder into the mushroom forest, and when they did they were quickly arrested by the poison and decomposed by the mushrooms themselves; as though living things were nothing but a snack. It would be interesting to see this process take place in front of his eyes, and so he put down his things, walked from his shack and headed in the direction of the chakra... though it was quickly coming toward him.

This was curious but less so as it came into his sites. It was a bird, and soon identified as a messenger bird. As soon as he noticed, he let his guard down and waited for it to arrive. It was only then that he remembered that the bird itself would still fall victim to the poisonous air if exposed for too long. He quickly began work on a vaccine as the bird arrived. Fluttering in front of him, he snapped the small metal cartage from the leg of the bird and took the folded paper, exposing the bird to the antidote in the same instance, and most likely in secret. He would take it as another experiment at least, to see if the antibodies would be able to transcend different species. As the bird flew away and he took the small stroll back to his hut, he had the chance to read the paper, realizing right away that it was a summons back to the hidden village. What an inconvenience! He headed back into the hut and packed his things carefully with intentions of returning; after all nothing in their right mind would come here intentionally to mess up his work. Stepping out he jumped on the tops of the mushrooms (as mario music played in the background) toward the hidden village...

(sorry this is short...Too many setbacks.)
Abelard heard pounding again, and his image shifted from the real world. Shit he realized, [i]I can't keep this up, seems I'm already wanted, probably a routine mugging of the new guy...[i]. Abelard's lit apparition looked to his jounin friend. He spoke few words as he had little time. "Friend, It looks like I'm on this mission alone. Tell Blaize to summon Kaz to hear what's happened. Forget about sending them after me in 5 days. I've risked them enough, I'll do this on my own. Shouldn't be much work, after all. I'll send back report as soon as I know they're attacking, if I haven't managed to destroy their efforts." His projection shifted much more at a louder noise, there was yelling outside his room. "I have to go now, good bye, don't forget all that I've told you." And that was it. Abelard's image was suddenly disconnected from the Kusagakure administration building. His eyes flung open, disconnected immediately from the technique, just as his door was smashed open by two ruffians. It was clear they meant him no benevolence, and in quick succession, he whipped a throwing knife through ones neck, the steel whirring through the soft flesh, and then lashed out with his saxe knife, across the other assailant's chest. He could feel the hard metal eat through the flesh and the bone. He knew both were dead, and also that he would not be spending the night in a warm Inn. Before the second body had even reached the floor, Abelard was out the window, where he became one with the night.
