Bittersweet Home

Home. She could see it off in the distance, grand as ever. Konohagakure.. it held so much for her...yet so little at the same time. Not realy home anymore, something of the past really. Her once home, her past life. she couldn't help but wonder about the changes that have happened within the walls. Even while being about a half mile away, her nose picked up scents that her eyes could not. A pang shot through her, it was too much for her. The past still held the strongest of pains, pains that she could not forget.

Of course she wasn't walking on the path that soon lead to the village. How silly that would be of her. Though with how bright her clothes were...it wouldn't really matter anyway. So she decided to walk in the surrounding trees that covered this part of the land. Hidden slightly from the people that walked mere feet from her.
Alone. It was always just her. In truth she was saddened by this, although she grew used to this sort of life. Forced on her, she learned to deal with it. She learned a hard sort of life, one without her parents..one alone.
Though not quite alone. She had Aisu, her partner. His slight wolfness made her feel comfortable. He was always apart of her traveling home.

Minutes..or was it hours that had passed? Time had become of little worry to her. All that mattered to her was if it was night or not. That and her location. Location was the most important of all. Which she wasn't paying attention to..at all.
She took this moment, recovering from her thoughts, and looked around her. Somehow she had come to a pond that was tucked away in the surounding trees. It had such an out of place beauty, something she hadn't seen in awhile.

Slowly she took steps up to it, and curiously peered over the edge. So clear..so smooth, and no hints of life within. empty just as the rest of this forest. Aisu had slowly walked over, his head tilted sideways. He was always looking after her, no matter what happened. She softly sighed and sat next to the edge letting her feet dangle into the clear water. Such cold water, it calmed her. It was her element and had always managed to sothe her worries.

A breezes shook the area and made her nervous. Something was going to happen, she could that much. All she had to do was wait.

Mannox was swimming underwater. Such a lovely day for swimming! He enjoyed swimming and well, could use a bit of a bath. He was sure he was beginning to stink. He swam by a few beautifully colored fish. Mostly reds and browns. He enjoyed the aquatic lifeforms, they were always good company. He spotted a few crabs and then had to surface for air. He shot to the surface and whipped his hair around. He swam to the nearest surface and climbed out. 'Good thing no one is watching.' He thought to himself as he walked along the shoreline naked. He kept his head down, kicking rocks as he walked.

He sat down on a nice solid rock near the water and began to wash his pants in the lake. Well, more so just soak them and hope they get a little cleaner. He continued to wash his pants and hoped that eventually he would meet someone who would help him find his parents' killer and maybe, just maybe, help him exact his revenge on Konoha for abandoning him when he needed it most. The least the Kage could have done was sent out a few jounin to fix the problem. But he wouldn't. Keiro finished washing his pants and stood up. He turned to his side and there was a figure sitting there. He couldn't tell if it was looking at him, so he hastily jumped behind the rock and put his pants on. He jumped back on the rock and watched the figure.

"KIZUATO!" Yelled as he had threw a scroll up into the air that turned into a cloud of smoke. A strong lion jumped out of the cloud as he was being summoned by his master. The lion almost 10 feet tall stood in front of the not even 6 foot tall genin. Midara had to look up to the beast lion and who was a great sparring partner. Midara's curiosity was kicking in, he wanted to see what was outside the village. "Kizuato!...Lets go into the...wilderness. We can go back to the pond!" He said with excitement but anxious to actually go. Kizuato held up a paw in a form of a no, Midara's face turned into a frown"Ok!" Kizuato said as he charged towards the Konoha gates. "Your not beating me!" Midara yelled scolding the lion and chases to beat him. They both ran as fast as they could towards the great gates of Konoha but then suddenly Kizuato stopped. Midara kept running and charged right into the back of the giant lion. Kizuato didn't move from the impact and let alone to notice that Midara had ran as fast as he could into a wall. "Okay lets go Midara, follow my lead and stop being silly" He said picking up Midara from the ground.

"Good one, way to go geezer!" he said as he was being picked up and holding his nose. Kizuato just laughed as he placed Midara on his back , they were about 10 yards away from the gate but around a corner so the guards couldn't see them. The deception of Kizuato was incredible as shown. Kizuato galloped towards the gate with Midara on his back. "We are on an urgent mission! Sunagakure is in dire need of our medicine. Im the fastest that could be deployed and we have the medicine in our scrolls!" he said to the guard with his acting skills. The guard believed him as he ran out the front gate as fast as he could. They would run down the trails and into the trees as a shortcut to get to the pond faster. Within minutes they were already there as Kizuato leaped from a tree into the pond with Midara holding on for dear life. "WOOOHOOO!" they yelled before they splashed into the water.

She noticed movement near the edge of the pond and briefly saw someone hid behind rocks. Someone..wait. Someone else was here? It became clear after a few minutes that there was indeed a person there. A male person infact. She tensed up quickly. Someone else..was here. Right infront of her. Its been long...

She looked at him curiously. he was quite the sight she thought to herself. Deep down she found him attractive. Not that she would admit that to him of course. She wanted to say something, call out to him, but that would be weird, right? But..she just saw him..naked. Thats a good way to start meetings. "Hey, I just saw you naked..I'm Rysa." Yes, what a grand thing to say. So for now she kept quiet and waited.

Soon enough something loud pierced the surroundings. A boy much younger than her and a lion thing came and splashed into the water. "Arhh!" She shouted and rushed away from the pond. Stupid boy and his loudness. This quiet day ruined by loud actions. She huffed, annoyed. But two people in the same day? That was interesting.

Tennuyan cringed as the loud noise came crashing through the forest and into the pond. 'Ugh, there goes quiet time.' He approached the figure he saw cautiously and noticed it was a female, and an attractive one to boot. He walked over to her. "Hi." He sat down next to her, he figured one of three things could happen, She could stay and talk to him, she could scream and run away, or she would get up and challenge him to a fight. None of these out of the ordinary for a nukenin to receive as a greeting. He watched the boy and his giant lion frolic in the water and figured it was best to let him decide when he noticed the two on the shore.

"Sorry if saw anything you didn't wish to. I didn't know anyone was here." He said to the girl. "My name is Tennuyan Haretsu. You can just call me Tenn." He figured he'd introduce himself and let the girl decide where to go from there. He hoped this one would talk to him instead of fighting him like the last one he encountered, but who knows how this girl, or this boy will react to him. She didn't look like she was dressed from the village, but who knows. Perhaps they'll both try to return him to Konoha and collect a bounty, or perhaps they knew each other and were on a date and Tennuyan was sweeping in to steal the boy's girlfriend. Who knows? Only time can tell.

In the impact of the falling Midara fell down even further than Kizuato did and his shirt and headband shoot off in the water. As the two fabrics twirled in the water, the shirt then over took the headband was covered it completely. Kizuato returned to the water to see people at the shore.Feeling awkward he dove back into the water to get Midara. Midara went up to the surface and couldn't see Kizuato and only saw people at the shore, so feeling awkward he was about to dive back into the water, but noticing the girl. He had his eye on her, heading down not seeing where he was going he dove right into Kizuato butt. Holding his head the both went up to the surface. "You dang DINGO!" Midara scowled at Kizuato, but he just pointed to the shore and winked. Midara winked back and the two started to swim towards the shore.
They reached walking point and started to walk, Midara waved and yelled enough so they could hear, "Hey sorry about the mess...those stupid Konoha ninja won't ever leave me alone. But I am Midara Tenka and this is my best friend, Kizuato." He said pointing to the bowing lion.

"So what are you guys doing around here?" He asked as he pulled himself out of the water and climbed the wet fur of the lion. "Also...sorry for not having a shirt" he laughed as his shirt was on the other side of the pond, invisible. Kizuato the almost 10 foot lion walked up to the 2 other people and stood there looking down on them as Midara was rubbing his mane. Midara sat there with a smile. His breathing was normal and it was hard to tell that he was lying about being chased by Konoha Ninja, infact he was one in the first place. He just wanted to see what the affiliation of these 2 people were. Maybe they hated Konoha and Midara would have to terminate them. "Also...do you guys have any place to live?...Mine was ran down by those dang forsaken Konoha ninja. I wish I could just kill some" He said with an annoyance in his voice, although he was ready to spring into action. The two other looked older but that didn't scare Midara at all. He had Kizuato at his side already...so should I say, under him.

Tenn, what a nice name... She smiled at him. He was nice, a rather god peron to meet. That and he wasn't loud. "I didn't mind, i liked it.." She said quietly..then paused. Realizing what she said she continued flustered.." I mean, its nice meeting you...I um.. Seeing you here.." Oh great, she was fumbling again. Whats worse is that she started blushing.

That boy Midara...so annoying. Loudness..unneeded. She shook her head, annoyed. "I'm Rysa..." She told Tenn quietly. Then she turned her glance onto the young boy. What he said was just ignorant. Idiot... Her head tilted slightly. Why would he say that here of all places to strangers? "You would be better off not talking like that.." She muttered darkly.

But then she regreted it, but only slightly. This child needed to learn the time and place for things. But in a way she knew he was lying the whole time. There are just somethings you didn't say aloud to those you just met. She shifted slightly, putting herself closer to Tenn.

Tennuyan smiled at the girls comment. "Nice meeting you as well." Rysa.... "such a pretty name." He thought he kept that inside, but it must have slipped out. He looked to the boy and decided to speak, "Your lying. No true missing nin would go around telling strangers that he is one. That would be dangerous and unwise. Even if it was subliminal. Second of all, why would someone share their home with a missing nin whom was already ran out of their home? That would be asking for trouble if they were a missing nin, and if they weren't, how do you expect to enter the city? and third of all, if you wish to go kill some konoha nin, then find some and do so. However I will tell you now, Your lion doesn't scare me regardless of your rank within the village. So I suggest you stop lying before there's trouble. Enjoy your swim, and leave me to my beautiful and recently met company."

Tennuyan felt Rysa get closer and he leaned over and whispered into her ear, 'if he starts anything, I'll make sure you stay safe. regardless of whether your a missing ninja or a konoha ninja.' He smiled at her and drew his attention back to the boy. He shooed him off and figured, The boy was either going to leave them be, attack him while he was sitting, or be a man and challenge him. Tennuyan was comfortable with anything that would happen and prepared for the worst. He readied himself to sink into the earth if the boy attack. He wasn't going to let this boy smack him around before he got the chance to rise to his feet.

"dude what is wrong with you? Why would I lie about that? I am not even a missing ninja. I am simply a wanderer who needs a home to stay for one night. I am young and care hardly handle myself. I need someone to help me get on my feet so I can live on my own like i once did. SO thanks for the help you dick head" He said as the lion laughed at him a bit. Kizuato walked down so they were about 15 yards apart, the girl was getting awfully close to the boy. "Man Kizuato...kids a douchebag huh?" they both laughed as Kizuato laughed in agreement. They were standing 15 yards behind the man and they were angled so the girl was behind the body of the boy. His heart started to beat a little more, only from rage. Why would someone be so mean to him. That is that even nice, no wonder why they aren't allowed in Konoha.

Midara blew in real hard and put his hands on his waist. He had no intent on killing, scaring the living daylights out of someone is hilarious to, especially if it were this guy. He blew out then breathed in again. Blowing out," Ryuuka no Jutsu!" He said as he was sitting on his lion. A stream of fire blew towards the two and as he blew he grabbed one kunai with an explosive note and 2 senbon and threw so camouflaging themselves in fire. After the attack, Kizuato jumped back to about 30 yards then turned around and ran into the woods. " good one!" said as Midara jumped off and ran next to him while laughing. They were headed back to Konoha, only half a mile away. His heart felt good, like he was doing something good for Konoha and the world.

She enjoyed the comment Tenn made to Midara. It was blunt and to the point, very nice. Then what he said next shocked her. He was willing to protect her, a stranger. So she leaned in closer to him and softly said.. "Im a missng nin...so you know.." Then Midara said something stupid. Something that reflected his age. Nice words...Hmph.

She looked up again at Midara. He was leaving it seemed. That is...until he said something. She couldnt make out what he said but soon there was some sort of fire heading in her and Tenns direction. Fire. Her eyes widened. And her heart raced. Wait...why was she panicking? She used water for petes sake!

But she did panic...she didn't know what to do. So she naturally looked to Tenn. Wait..again. She was looking to Tenn for help. Gosh she just met him! Stupid silly female feelings.. but still she did.

Tennuyan threw his arm in front of her and spoke, "Lay down and roll ten feet in the direction." He pointed with the hand that was across her chest. He sunk into the ground as the fire shot over him and he shot back onto the surface. He saw the senbons and the kunai come flying at him and the kunai had something on it. His eyes widened. It was an explosive tag. He pulled his Windmill Shuriken off his back to alter the direction of the senbons and jumped back.

He covered Rysa with his body the best he could and slammed his hand into the ground to raise an earthen wall for defense. The senbon hit exploding the wall to pieces but leaving the Rysa unharmed and Tennuyan with a few bruises from the wall chunks hitting his back. He was used to the bruises so it didn't phase him. He rose up and shrugged off the dirt. "That little punk bastard...." He stopped himself from pursuing the boy or saying more because he wanted more time with Rysa... it sounded really good right now. "Sorry about that. So your a missing ninja as well?" He smiled softly. At least now he didn't have to convince a cute girl to leave the village with him. He had one, right in front of him.

She did as she was told without thought. For some reason she didn't really question him. Then he felt him on her, covering her view of whatever was happening. It was over in a flash because Tenn got up so soon. She looked around and noticed the slight damage to the natural surroundings...and to him.

She nodded slightly at his remark and reassuring him that she was indeed a missing ninja. "Inuzuka, Rysa... from that village..." She said knowing that he knew what she meant. Of course she picked up on his mannerisms. It seemed like he was holding back. Am I..stopping him..? She asked herself."You know..If you wanted you can go after him."

But she didn't want him going. Or leaving.. Ugh. Female feelings again. But for once...she wasn't alone for the moment.

Tennuyan looked to her. "Nah it's fine. Let him be a coward. If he wants to fight like a man, He'll come back." He sat back on the ground. He patted the ground next to him motioning for her to sit down. "Your from Konohagakure? We must have went to the academy together. I always finished training all my jutsus early and never wasted time... So I probably didn't notice anyone and they probably didn't notice me. Nevermind." He chuckled. "So why'd you get kicked out of Konoha?"

He wanted to get to know this girl. She was his age and very pretty. He couldn't help it. His heart fluttered every time she spoke. But why? He had no clue, the only guess he had was one of those emotions that separated him from a common animal. He wasn't sure how love felt so he couldn't tell that he fell in love at first sight. Even if he knew he'd probably just deny it for his own safety, but though he remained unsure of how he felt, He knew he liked it, and he didn't want it to stop.

Wise words he said, well not really. They just fit the scene that just happened. "Well I suppose we did..." She mumbled before sitting beside him. She was njoying this peaceful moment...until he asked that question. A question of the past, now had come to the present. It ws the one thing he shoudn't have asked. Her body tensed up slightly before responding. "My...dad.. Well my mom died while giving birth to me..." How should she shorten this? She didn't really want to talk about this.. "My dad due to things was attaacked by fellow ninja..even from our clan. He took me and left. I was eight. So here I am now.."

She managed to smile at him though. She didn't want him to see that side of her. In fact not even Aisu has seen her sad. For him she would be happy. Why though? She sighed. Too complex. Surely she wasn't having feelings for him...She never did, for anyone. Alone..she was used to that. Nothing else..
"And what happend to you?" She said in her soft voice.

Tennuyan swallowed his pride to tell this girl the truth. "I Left Konoha of my own free will. A missing ninja broke into my home during graduation. My parents couldn't make it. They had work to do. I walked in to find my home destroyed. I found my mother in her room on the bed, dead. She had a note, So I read it. The note said, 'This is your punishment for disobeying our orders. We will find you and your son and we will get you for your disobedience.'. My father must have done something wrong. I went to the Kage and he said there was nothing they would or could do. So I waited til nightfall and left to search for this killer, and my father, alone."

He shrugged. He never told anyone that story and definitely never opened up that quickly. It was strange that he already felt comfortable around the girl. He tell she had a rough backstory like his, and I guess that's why he felt comfortable telling her. He wrapped his arms around her, "It's fine. We'll find who did this to our parents, and we'll settle the score." He looked into her beautiful eyes, and kissed her.

So his parents are gone too, eh? They both had it rough, but each were living, in different ways ofcourse. Still...it was chance they they met up today. Chance that they started talking. Or was it fate? Hmph..she didn't really believe In Fate. Believing in such things never were good for her. It always ended rather bad.

Then he held her. That was new. It was weird that he did this. After all they had just met not moments ago. "Al..Alright.."she wispeared to him. Suddenly he kissesed her. What's happening? All too fast..at this rate her mind will be so confused. Why did he...? Prolly out of comfort. That's it. He's trying to comfort her. And so, she softly kissed him back.

Tennuyan received the soft gentle kiss back and smiled. He enjoyed the kiss very much and figured she must have if she returned it. He looked to her, "You're very pretty and I've grown fond of you since we first met. This may seem weird since we just met and all. Would you like to travel together and try to find the monsters that killed our parents? I'm sure the two of us have a lot more in common and I'm sure we'd make a great combat team. How's that sound?"

He hoped she would come with him for the sake of making a friend, a partner, and perhaps one day, a lover. She was very beautiful and he knew what his father meant about love at first sight. He was excited, confused, happy, and his anger was now dying. He would one day get that boy back, but that would be a long time from now. At least he thought it would be.

She then moved slightly away, giving them some space, slightly uncomfortable. But still she smiled. It was nice, she had to admit. Though..very different. She was sure to remember this meeting in the future. And she was positive she would be fond of it. "Ah..." she blushed again. He was complimenting and she didn't know how to accept it. So for now she blew it off. Then his request startled her, only slightly though. "Actually, Im more than content to leave them be. They did what they did. Nothing can change that." She sighed. She did that more often now. Sighing that is. A lot had happened this day, not all good.. Not all bad. But much to think about. Then she took another glance at him. His demeanor had changed. Only ever so slightly though. He seemed relaxed, which made her smile again.

"But I guess.. I'll join you for now. Company is always good." She answered. This close to "home" she though the worst was to happen. In truth, it was the opposite. Here before her, was this nice male. Alone...maybe she wasn't to be alone. At least having a travel companion was good. It would help her keep her head straight.

Tennuyan smiled. "I appreciate that. I would greatly enjoy your company." He put a hand out to offer to help her stand and smiled again. He wanted to ask her to be his girlfriend, but He didn't want to scare her away. He had the look on his face that he wanted to ask her something, but was holding back. It seemed to be held back by fear. He wouldn't admit it.

He helped her up, and pulled her in for a hug and a very passionate kiss. When the kiss broke he smiled, blushed, and apologized. "I can't help it, You're so beautiful. I-" He stopped short and shook his head smiling. He began to walk, and didn't let go of her hand for even just a second.

He had that certain look. The look of someone that wanted to ask a question. She had to smile to herself, she loved questions. Well answering, not so much asking. Asking was thrusts part of that. She did her classic head tilt as if asking what? The moment passed though as he remaind silent. Oh well... Quietly she accepted his hand up , thanking him. If it wasn't for him..she would still be sitting down, too lazy to pick herself up. Laziness. She would have to change that pretty soon.

Whaa..? he kissed her again. Again! So much contact today, it was making her dizzy. She would have to get used to this. Then he didn't finish his sentence. Jeesh, it wasn't that hard to say things. Even she managed. He prolly wanted to say something personal. If that was the case , she understood his silence. He was holding her hand still too.Still..? What does he want..? And where is he..taking me??

"Um..." she paused not quite sure as what to ask. Keeping quiet for a few more moments she asked again. "Where are you taking me...?"

Tennuyan smiled and turned around. "Sorry, Where would you like to go now? I have a small little encampment not far from here, and I have food and a nice bed there. You can have the bed and I'll sleep on the floor unless you want the sleeping arrangements different. And I apologize for not asking my question, or finishing my sentence... I just don't want to scare you away."

He began walking to his encampment still holding her hand. He was falling in love, and wanted to seal that with a title.... but he didn't wanna scare her away or feel rejection. He was just so confused by all this new emotion and feelings. As they walked he pointed over to a little cottage. "It's just over there."

Ah. So thats It. She smiled gently. It's was what she was thinking, and secretly glad he didn't ask. Afterall.. It was just way to soon. Very soon to change how she felt around people. "Food?" she asked delightfully. Food! Sweet, delicious food. How she missed thee. Food her love. Food..the thing that made her not give up on humanity. "Aisu !" she called out and soon he followed. "Do you mind if Aisu stays inside?" Ignoring the sleeping arrangement for now, she wondered about this "encampment".

Oh. A few moments later it they came upon a cottage. Here..really? In the middle of this forest? Quite odd, but he had food. So it didn't really matter to her anyway. "It looks...nice. I haven't slept in ..well let's say I never had time to make anything." They continued walking and slowly the day grew dark. Just a Few hours ago..it had been light. Now it was close to night, a time that she loved the most.

Tennuyan looked to Aisu, "Sure I don't mind. I have some spare meat for him too if he's hungry." He smiled. He walked to his cottage and banged on the door a few times and pushed it open. An exploding pouch with a fuse in it was lying on the floor behind the door. He picked the exploding pouch up and set it on a shelf. "I'll start a fire for cooking in a moment." He ran to his bed and pulled all the animal skins off of it and hung them up on a peg near the shelves. "I'm sorry, I wasn't expecting company." He smiled. "You can sit on the bed and get comfortable." He walked to a corner of his cabin and grabbed some wood. He grabbed a wooden shuriken off the wall near the door and set up a fire pit.

He drew his breath in and exhaled onto the shuriken and quickly threw it at the fire pit. The logs caught flame and the fire was started. He went to the back of the cabin and removed the rocks from the blanket and pulled the blanket off. He grabbed some meat, and set the blanket and rocks back up. He walked into the cabin and tossed a large piece of bear meat towards Aisu. "Our dinner will be ready soon." He smiled at her. He walked back outside and began to cook the meat.

An exploding pouch. Nice. Great security system there. Slowly she entered the small cottage. It was nice and cozy. Not to big, but then again she never liked big places. But the placed reeked of meat. Well not reeked, but it over powered her sense of smell. The joys of being an Inuzuka. She was able to smell such delicacies with a good sense of smell. Even uncooked, she was delighted. Unknowing her fangs extended slightly. "It's ok.." she replied while eying the animal skins. He hunted? That was good..she loved hunting. Aisu padded his way in too and sniffed at the animal skins as well, curious. He was being quite the quiet person today, usual chatting with her. Finally he settled down beside her feet when she sat down on his bed.

His bed. Oh god. The image from their walker incident played through her mind. Couldn't she just forget that? Well now she was blushing again. Why did he have to look to...good? Anyway she observed his movements, watching him set the fire up. Aisu had been given some bear meat, and slowly he ate. She couldn't help but giggle, she had known that he wanted to hint on his own as usual. But had given in and accepted Tenns offering. Ahh.. Even the uncooke meat...it smelled good. " You know you didn't have to bring me, right?"

Tennuyan shrugged and smiled continually tending to the meat, "That's fine. I have plenty of food and I got enough space." He looked to the sky, "it's getting dark. Did you want the bed alone? with Aisu? or with m--" He stopped short and continued to cook the meat. It took a short while for the meat to cook and he pulled it out of the fire. "I'm sorry I don't have any plates. He handed her the stick with her meat on it.

He walked back into the house and took down some of the pelts. He sat down and began to sew them together to make another puppet. He only had one right now, so constructing another seemed pretty vital to him. He really wanted to tell her all his feelings and the things he wanted, but he was scared he would lose her as a person, as a love, as a friend, and even as company. It would destroy his heart, and make him completely cold hearted towards anyone.
