| My apologies in advance if this has been addressed within the rules, guides or elsewhere. I'm still getting adjusted and trying to absorb as much as I can of the system here.
Anyway, my question concerns the specialities that each character gets. My understanding is that each character has two areas (Ninjutsu, Taijutsu, Fuuinjutsu etc.) in which the excel, or at least preform moderately well in and that there are no limits (rank-wise) to the jutsu they may obtain for said areas.
So, my question: the part of the Ultimate Shinobi System which states - Quote :
- In addition to you to standard specialties characters use the following additional specialities at a far lower level...
is basically saying that there's a tertiary speciality that may be trained up to a certain point? For instance, if my character's specialities are Ninjutsu and Taijutsu, then Genjutsu, the third speciality may only be trained up to C-rank.
Really I guess I'm just asking for clarification. :/

| It depends on the rank you're going for. If you're going for Jounin, which you need Hokage approval for, then yes you would be able to use Genjutsu up to C rank, but if you're making a Genin which I'm assuming is the case then no you would only be allowed to use the two specialties. |
