| Midara needed more missions. He needed a lot for his genin, so Hopefully The Lady Hokage would let him take them in bulks. Midara was dressed with his headband polished and straight on his forehead. Anything that symbolized the Leaf Village, Midara adored. He wore his casual clothes which consisted of a long sleeve black top with a loose turtle neck. His white shorts stopped at the shin and underneath he had ninja wrappings that went down from his toes up to his thigh. He liked to wear regular thong sandals more than anything else. The more noticeable things of Midara was his long sleek hair. His black mane went all the way down to his tail bone. Midara was still only thirteen, his features made him look older. The one feature that seems to be increasingly noticeable is the bags under his eyes. He looks more tired, more stressed, more worried. He still needed to do everything that he could. Maybe, while Midara was here, him and his godmother could have a chat. They both have both been extremely busy, which Midara always adored about his godmother. He felt like she always had everything in control and Midara would only dream to lead like her. Something that he has been trying to do since the beginning, maybe they can talk about that one night too? Midara still worried if he should even bring that up.
Midara walked into the administration building and walked up to the Hokages office. Hopefully she was there, Midara wouldn't want to stand there all day and have no one even in the office. Midara straightened his body, brought his shoulders up and his chest out. Still clothes weren't wrinkled and his hair wasn't frizzy. Midara was been around the Hokage ever since he was young, but he was always nervous once he stepped into her office. It felt like a whole other place, it felt serious. He felt like he always had to be the best, but once in the office he always felt like he wasn't ever good enough. Midara often felt that he was never good enough to become even important to the village, he always felt like as hard as he tried...no one would care.
Midara standing in front of the door, bringing his right hand up in a fist a couple inches from the door. He took a deep breathe in and slowly knocked three times on the door. He then slowly opened the door and walked in a couple steps into the office, bowing. "I need some consul."

| It's feathers were so admirable, each one symmetrical the next creating a tessellation of brown and black markings across it's entire body. Etsu gently grazed the back of her personal messenger hawk like the delicate creature that it was. She could feel it's feathers sliding beneath her finger like satin made flesh, and underneath the supple exterior, she could 'feel' it's blood circulating around its hallow bones. A smile carved itself upon her thin lips, and with the same hand she used to pet the hawk, she used it to retrieve a small note from her sleeve. She held the note in her hand and analyzed it thoroughly as though she was capable of reading it's message while the parchment was folded up. As thoughts paced across her mind, she looked out the window in front of her to behold her village for a few moments. Beautiful buildings and a cloudy sky that bestowed an evening shadow upon the village. She breathed deeply, inhaling the expired scents of market food that managed to drift it's way to the northern region of the village. She looked down at the hawk who was eying her exclusively with its small dark eyes. She returned a look that visually expressed some form of apology and giggled a single note. Taking the tied letter within her hand, she tied it to the leg of the hawk which was a quick process since her hawk was disciplined. She'd witness many occasions where inexperienced handlers were attacked by their hawks and ran comically around in circles trying to avoid their furry. She giggled another note, and finished tying the string around the talon. She leaned forward, and kissed the hawk on it's forehead. A small glowing pink seal manifested upon it forehead once her lips departed from it's crown. This was her animal controlling seal which she used quite often especially with messenger birds, it allowed her to control the animal over any distance and link to them spiritually, really remarkable. The hawk flew out the window upon her telepathic command, and she watched as it took off into the cloudy sky.
Etsu turned around and viewed her office from the window as if it were new. Through her eyes she saw a giant room, filled with rich furniture, bookshelves, and portraits of all sorts neatly organized. The bookshelf was her favorite by far, it rested in the corner of the room near the doorway. It was made from a fine black wood, and housed nearly a hundred books all with different jutsu, histories and much more. Often she would read her books when her daily amount of paperwork was done, but that was starting to become a rare occasion. Etsu closed her window and made her way back to her desk. She sat casually into her chair and crossed her legs like a business woman. Now that she was sitting still, she noticed that it was quite chill within her office. Luckily her sweatpants and flat jacket were conservative with their heat, and kept Etsu warm under the conditions. The white robe she was wearing over top of her regular attire did squat besides making her look flashy, she was beginning to despise it although it was a symbol of her status as Hokage. Fair enough I suppose.
Minutes pass and Etsu occupied herself by playing with her pen between her magic fingers. The twirled it around with just one hand, and stopped instantly upon her normal sensory being breached by chakra signature. As the air became still, a living shadow began to rise in the middle of the room. Etsu eyed the activity calmly and proceeded to play with her pin. As the shadow took humanoid form, the ANBU had finally been shaped into the tall robust figure that he was. He bowed as he spoke.
"Lady Hokage, you have a visitor arriving within a few minutes. Do you wish to be disturbed?" He asked earnestly.
"Well you did a pretty good job at that already Gishito, who is it?" She asked curiously, taking a sip of her tea.
"It's Midara my Lady, Midara Uchiha." He clarified.
"My lovely godson," she said while fanning the ANBU away. "Give him free passage, thank you Gishito, resume your post." She commanded while sitting her tea down. The ANBU bowed his head and flickered out of the room in a shadowy flash. Etsu began to clean off her desk of ripped paper and other trash apparatuses that would give her a messy impression.
"Knock-knock-knock," sounded the door, it's hallow tempos ringing across the room. Etsu was going to give the model "come in" quote but it appears as though Midara had already proceeded to open the door, which was fine. She watched as her kage hat which rested behind the door swing open and face the wall, revealing the adorable Midara into her presence. It had been months since she'd seen her cherished godson in the flesh since the war. The first characteristic that she caught was his stunning long hair that extended down his back to a length her vision didn't allow her to indicate. He had a fine cherub face and a traditional Uchiha attire, the spitting image of his father. Etsu smiled like a mother would after seeing her child walk for the first time. Blood rushing to her cheeks and her eyes smiled with heavenly delight. He took a few more steps and bowed at his Hokage, his Godmother, and began to speak.
"I need some consul," he conjectured through the boyish voice of his.
Etsu tilted her head at a slight angle, which caused her auburn hair to dramatically fall onto one side. Was something wrong? She began to mentally recite his words to indicate the tone of his speech, maybe some clues lied there. But she found nothing, and she started to worry.
"Come, sit Midara," she gestured to the chair in front of her desk. "Is something wrong my child? Is it your father? Do I need to take off my earrings?" She asked concernedly.

| Midara was very pleased to actually see the only one who he felt cared. Midara wasn't seen Godmother Hokage since many suns and many nights. Midara has grown a lot since then, not in body but in soul and in mind. He has became a wiser boy, not wise enough though. He is able to say many great things about his life and about his stories of peace and of death. Seeing The Lady Hokage was such a joy to Midara, even he felt like he traveled the world and is being reunited to his long lost mother.
The scene was not of a upright happy mood, but more of a tears of happiness. Midara still at the doorstep of the office, looked across the room into the eyes of the only one he follows. The invitation to sit down was not rejected but was not accepted at this time. Many lives of the people would die just to have a one-on-one conversation with The Lady Hokage. The rest of her words went inside of Midara's eye and bounced off his skull, bumping into each other as each made an explosion. The words kept echoing, never seeming to stop.
Midara just stood there, looking down his eye sights, into the eyes at the end of the room. Then slowly, a tear ran down his right eye. The river going down his face only to drop off at the waterfall. It didn't take much until there was a pond at the edge of the waterfall. Midara couldn't help but to cry, he thought about it once more. Midara couldn't help but to act as a child. He wanted to be ready and he slowly would be, but at this second, when he is no focused, he won't be anything close to ready.
More tears came down the face of the young boy, as he had to run towards his mother. To Midara, Lady Etsu wasn't just a Hokage or a godmother, he was his mother. His mom, someone who he could cry to...like now. It was a scene of rejoice, the young genin couldn't help but be so happy, for the long lost of his mother.
As Midara reached the end of the office, he wanted to hug and embrace the protection from his mother. Which is the only thing left to do. Midara put his right arm on top of the left side of his mothers desk. Pushing off with both his right arm and leg, he didn't want to over jump nor under jumped so he barely pushed off a little. This causing him to hurdle the rest of the desk as he landed first with his right leg, then his left leg caught the rest of his body. Midara still in tears needed his mothers arm to protect, to make things better again.
Hopefully this would be OK for Midara to do so, tears still falling from his face, the young boy goes to grasp tightly his mother. To know he was there. "I need you...I need your help mother. I have had a bad dream I can't get out of my head." Midara shook his head to try and force the bad thoughts and bad dream from his head. "I missed you! but the only dream I dreamt was...dishonorable". Midara needed his mother to accept the hug that Midara was trying to give her.
He was tall so Midara was bending his waist down and was to put his head on her shoulder while he stood up with his legs. His arms were to wrap around Lady Etsu's head, "Mother...I need you to help me to be strong" His butt was popping out and his knees were locked, as his ankles where. Hopefully someone was there this time. Hopefully he wouldn't feel the same anger as he did once. Thinking about it made him sick.
He was supposed to be so proud to be from The Hidden Leaf Village and here he is, dreaming of destruction and chaos. He wanted to be there for everyone, he wanted to be the one who would die to save his village. He can't be that person if the is thinking like this, but why is he thinking like this? He has nothing to be angry or sad about. Midara leads genin into mission, he is a team leader. He is the god son to the Hokage. He is a Uchiha and best of all, He is from Konohagakure. Where is all this coming from? The little boy was confused at life. Who was there to blame? Who would take the scapegoat? Midara needed help from the only person who could help him, and here he is. Begging to his mother. "I am sorry I forsake you" He said as a burst of tears shot out of his eyes. |

| Etsu heedfully sat within her chair with her eyes cemented on Midara, being analytical to the emotions he was beginning to portray upon his face. With her elite-level eyesight which she thought could rival this young boy's sharingan, she was able to scrutinize the reddening muscles within his face. His jaws were starting to flutter in a immutable intensity that quickly traveled up his face into his ocular area, manifesting within his talented Uchiha eyes. Red veins started to reveal themselves around his cornia and his eyes started to water primarily within his tear ducts. Within a few moments this process was.. complete, and Midara began crying. Etsu was very overwrought with this sight. Her view faded from the boy and onto her desk, a look of dread sweeping across her face. She folded her hands together in front of her and sighed a dreadful murmur. Many things began to cross her mind, some more horrific then others. She envisioned tragic images of Midara's father being killed in the line of duty, dozens of kunai plunging into his torso in a nightmarish dream. The reason Etsu had such strong feelings for his father was because she was once teammates with him a long time ago during her Chunin era. During that time, both of them were beginning to learn fuuinjutsu by an old sensei, and they frequently trained each other within the village library. Memories of friendly smiles, endless studying, and drawing seals flashed across her mind, which made the thought of him being turning them into poison. However there was still a possibility that Midara was actually the one in trouble and needed Etsu. Either way, this didn't like the situation and possibly where it might progress.
Before realizing it, Midara had hurdled across her table and landed within her side. Her wooden desk shook and shrieked with his weight dancing across it's surface. Midara had embraced her in a quick incursion, his essence crashing into hers. Being that close Etsu could sense things she couldn't before when he was across the table. One being the salty scent of his tears which was becoming all to prevalent within their close proximity as they kept poring. Second was his dolorous weeping and physical disress that traveled form him onto Etsu, she never been strucken with such strong emotion before. His actions took her by surprise quite honestly, but she figured it wasn't totally unexpected given the circumstances.
"I need you...I need your help mother. I have had a bad dream I can't get out of my head." Midara said while shaking his said, his voice breaking within Etsu's ear. "I missed you! but the only dream I dreamt was...dishonorable" He voiced. Etsu patted him on his back as a cheap method of consolement, she was a little lost of words. What was he speaking of? A dream? She wondered what dream would be so horrendous that it would reduce him to tears. It could be possible that he was suffering from some form of post-traumatic stress disorder from the war like many other children within the village. Moreover, Etsu didn't like the fact that he was referring to her as "mother". She was his godmother, not his mother. Midara's mother was a great woman who loved her son and her husband, it would be dishonorable for Etsu to claim such a title his real mother was certainly worthy of. However he was just a child, and she figured that it wasn't a time for political correctness. Midara continued with his outpour, and Etsu continued to embrace him. Mother...I need you to help me to be strong". He said. "I am sorry I forsake you." He continued, his tone of voice indicating that he was done. Before he could continue to weeping process, Etsu began to sink into the chair and mold into it in a ghoulish manner. Within seconds she had vanished within the fabric, and away from the room.
At the edge of her wooden desk, Etsu began to reappear. Her body began to elevate from the wood in only a second she was fully materialized. She sat at the left edge of the table with one hanging off, and her arms wrapped around the other legs knee which was bent close to her chess. In order for her to help Midara accordingly, she needed some space so she can process. She looked back at Midara, her lips forming some sort of half smile. "Midara, you haven't forsaken me, I'm always here for you." She reassured. "If you want me to help you be strong, I'm more than willing to teach you if you're up to it. If that's what you wish. I don't know what this dream is of yours, but I'm sure that everything's going to be alright you here?" She said. "So if you're up for it, I want to give you something in advance, would that be okay?" She asked, sticking up a finger.

| Midara knew it might have been out of her comfort zone to have a child crying at her tears. The weeping boy then started to sink towards the chain. His eyes opened widely as he noticed The Hokage was sinking into her own chair. It was very confusing on how she did it, but it was very fascination to Midara. The genin only less then a second to even see the transaction that just occurred underneath him. Midara had his weight on his arms, Lady Etsu was his support. What kept him standing. Midara pushed his arms out to the arms of the chair to support himself. A couple tears hit the seat cushion of the elegant chair. Then, it suddenly hit him. His mind went into a trance as he held his body over the chair. The bombing of tears stopped.
'What am I doing? I made myself seem a fool, not only that but in front of The Hokage. That dream won't ever come true. It just won't happen!' He thought to himself as his body was frozen over the chair. This is what Midara didn't want to happen, he didn't wan to act a child anymore. He didn't want to cry to people, he didn't want to NEED anyone. He wanted to be able to stand on his own two feet and be able to help anyone near, anyone who was falling. He would be able to pick them up, support them so they can stand on their own two feet as well. It had to come to this for Midara to become strong, this had to happen for Midara to realize.
He felt like he wasn't ready, so he was going to have to try. Try to be as good as a leader as The Hokage. Then heard words, coming from inside the office. The comforting sound waves rushing into the ears of Midara and crushing the inside of his skull.'If you want me to help you be strong' His heart sank, his eyes widen. The words shot through his heart and traveled up to his brain. The sudden mood of Midara has changed. He was going to be brave from this moment on. Midara jumped up and had his body at attention. "I will take all your adivice to heart"
The boy couldn't help to feel guilt in his body...he had to say something quickly before the Hokage could give her advice, something Midara is deeply sorry for."Lady Hokage, I am sorry for my childish acts" Midara said as he still stood an inch away from the chair. "I need to be strong. I need you to help me be strong. I won't ever turn on you...I promise" Midara said as he pointed to his forehand protector. "Nothing will stop my training!" Midara yelled as thunder over took his praise. The bright skies started to turn to black, as the wind blew shivers into people's body. Midara took a big gulp.
"I am not afraid of some little thunder!" The fearless little soldier said as he looked up into the ceiling. "Lady Etsu, I swear I will never be afraid again" said the boy with a modest brain. In his squeaky voice a child was heard, but in his heart, a warrior called. Someone who would proudly die for his village or anyone in it. People might not take him serious at first, think his dreams are a joke, but he will prove them wrong. "Lady Etsu...I wish to train under you. So I can be as great as you are" the child said as he knelt to one knee. He brought his head down pointed towards the floor. The boy wanted to be strong, to be able to protect. A couple thunder claps shouted loudly as the boy was kneeling down. Midara then looked up awaiting for an answer. |

| --- "Very well Midara, it would be my pleasure to take you as an apprentice." Etsu said while crossing her arms. Her sophisticated voice was becoming deeper to that of her empress persona, soprano to alto, light to dark, mother to master. If Midara wished to be strong and train under the Hokage, he would have to be ready both mentally and physically. Moreover he would have to look upon Etsu as his sensei rather than godmother which would be a interesting transition to see admittedly. But, Midara was a powerful young shinobi with the potential to be extremely powerful if you simply placed his mind and dedication into it, and Etsu would aid him in reaching that point for as long as she was needed. "As my student, I will teach you proper ways of engaging in combat which will include taijutsu, reading your opponents movements and most of all locking your opponent into a deathmate. I will teach you to use your sharingan to it's ultimate degree as well as truly harnessing your elemental natures. One week from today, we will meet within the training ground where your new journey will officially begin." She announced with clarity. She then smiled and walked closer to the desk, and gently clapped her hands in-front of her torso. "But before that I want to give the Uzumaki's Sacred Linkage Seal, it's a seal I learned from Minato Uzumaki many years ago and I pratically use it with all my students. It allows us to communicate telepathically over any distance, which will allow me to look after you if you ever need me." She informed. As she extended her right index finger, a small blueish flame of chakra ignited on its tip. She began to draw a circular seal just over top of Midara's heart, it only took a few moments to complete, and once done she pulled away her finger and blew out the visible chakra on her finger like a match.
She'd given Midara a few moments to adjust to his new 'tattoo'. There was a slight chance that he was a bit eerie about the marking, but since his father was a master of fuuinjutsu, Etsu figured he was accustomed to this sort of thing.
- Spoiler:
Name: Uzumaki Ichizoku Kyouryoku Heisetsu [Uzumaki Clan's Sacred Linkage Technique] Rank: A Type: Fūinjutsu Range: - Description: A technique Etsu adopted from the Uzumaki Clan of the Hidden Leaf This is a very special technique that links the user to others on both a physical and mental level. Etsu draws a seal over the hearts of up to three other individuals where it is worn like a tattoo. This seal allows Etsu to communicate with the seal bearers telepathically over any distance. The bearers are also able to telepathically communicate with each other in addition, but it requires 5CP for them to do that per post. In addition, it also allows her to feel and sense in irregularity in both the seal bearers physical body and chakra circulatory system. So she is able to detect any foreign substance in the bearers body as well as sense any damage to a persons chakra. This technique is very powerful and is also permanent, but it can be removed by a unsealing technique equal or more powerful than itself. Chakra Cost: 25CP

| Midaras heart sank from happiness. It felt like a dream to him, he felt like a million ryo. He was so much closer into becoming the strong one he needs to be. He was so much happier, his life was so lucky. He is one of the few in a million years that will be trained personally by a Hokage. To be trained by one of such experience and prestige is such an honor. Midara would have to start getting used to calling her Lady Etsu-Sensei. Not a lot of people get the ability to call their Hokage a true sensei. The genin has the chance to become one of the most powerful shinobi in the world, maybe his destiny will come to. To take over once Lady Etsu-Sensei is ill.
Stories have been told far and wide about our Hokage. 'Etsu the Executioner' a feared ruler by all. She can slay anyone she wanted to, easily. Maybe one day Midaras alias can be Midara the Marvelous. Lady Etsu-sensei started to go down the list of training, just the beginning of training. By what she said Midara reacted happy, although he is expected to kill, all shinobi are expected to kill. Training with her will make him live longer, he truly will be a Hokage one day. Once she brought up the Sharingan, Midara covered his eyes. He wasn't strong with his Uchiha powers and he needed to become stronger. "Thank you Lady Etsu-Sensei!" said as he bowed. In his heart Midara was jumping with joy and as soon as he left the office he was going to scream on the top of his lungs.
The student gave a bow to his sensei. It might fell weird for Midara to be a student, since he already has such a huge team. He also feels like he always has to be professional and stick by all the rules while Sensei is here. Lady Etsu Sensei started to continue talking then she started to explain a fuuinjutsu that she will use on him. 'ooooooh yes! yes!yeeeeaaahh!' Midaras mind jumped around as he thought he was going to be getting a seal that unleashes massive amounts of power. Then she went to explain, it was a way to communicate between the two which was still cool. A seal over his heart, it made him feel special, made him feel loved and appreciated. He bears it as a badge, a symbol of honor.
The blue flame itself amazed Midara also, the whole visit amazed Midara. He needed to get to training so he can show Lady Etsu-Sensei how strong he really is! "Thank you Sensei" he said trying to hold all of his inner emotions inside. "I will be off to train...you might find me stronger than I look" he said with a smile although worrying if that was what a student should say. As Midara bowed once more "Thank you" He said as he professionally made his exit, closing the door behind him. "WOOOHOOOOO!" Midara jumped with happiness as he started to run to the training ground. Obviously The Hokage could have heard him. None the less he was running and screaming with passion of happiness as he went to go train.
