Training with the earth. Vide

Tennuyan walked around amongst the sandy desert near Sunagakure. He felt today would be a nice day to learn a jutsu, as well as being in this desert was a good place to to train an earthen based jutsu. He sat down in the sand and thought of what he was going to train. He wanted something he could use to hold people still from afar, so that they couldn't retreat or rush them. He felt he should think about the structure of the desert and how the earth moves naturally to better understand the concept his this jutsu he wised to create. He would also think about the common structure of bones and muscles in a human hand to recreate it's structure for this jutsu. He sat in the sand and began to play with it.

Tennuyan thought about the function, design, and style of a desert, 'A desert is a landscape or region that receives an extremely low amount of precipitation, less than enough to support growth of most plants. Deserts are defined as areas with an average annual precipitation of less than 10 inches per year, or as areas where more water is lost by evapotranspiration than falls as precipitation. Deserts are part of a wide classification of regions that, on an average annual basis, have a moisture deficit. Deserts are located where vegetation cover is sparse to almost nonexistent. Hot deserts usually have a large diurnal and seasonal temperature range, with high daytime temperatures, and low nighttime temperatures, due to extremely low humidity. In hot deserts the temperature in the daytime can reach 113° or higher in the summer, and dip to 32° or lower at nighttime in the winter. Water vapor in the atmosphere acts to trap long wave infrared radiation from the ground, and dry desert air is incapable of blocking sunlight during the day (due to absence of clouds) or trapping heat during the night. Thus, during daylight most of the sun's heat reaches the ground, and as soon as the sun sets the desert cools quickly by radiating its heat into space. Urban areas in deserts lack large daily temperature variations, partially due to the urban heat island effect. Many deserts are formed by rain shadows; mountains blocking the path of precipitation to the desert. Deserts are often composed of sand and rocky surfaces. Sand dunes called ergs and stony surfaces called hamada surfaces compose a minority of desert surfaces. Exposures of rocky terrain are typical, and reflect minimal soil development and sparseness of vegetation. The soil is rocky because of the low chemical weathering, and the relative absence of a humus fraction. Bottomlands may be salt-covered flats. Deserts sometimes contain valuable mineral deposits that were formed in the arid environment or that were exposed by erosion. Due to extreme and consistent dryness, some deserts are ideal places for natural preservation of artifacts and fossils.'

Tennuyan then thought about the muscles in the hands and how they move, 'Several superficial and deep muscles of the forearm flex and extend the finger joints. These muscles stop before reaching the wrist, and only their tendons cross the articulation. The muscles are relatively large, and keeping them clear of the joints ensures maximum mobility at both the wrist and hand. The tendons that cross the dorsal and ventral surfaces of the wrist pass through tendon sheaths, elongate bursae that reduce friction. The muscles of the forearm provide strength and crude control of the hand and fingers. These muscles are known as the extrinsic muscles of the hand. Fine control of the hand involves small intrinsic muscles, which originate on the carpal and metacarpal bones. No muscles originate on the phalanges, and only tendons extend across the distal joints of the fingers.'

Tennuyan than rose to his feet and began to try to pull the earth up through the sand. He attempted to create earthen fists that would erupt from the sand. He tried and failed, tried and failed, tried and failed, He finally focused all his strength into it and 4 chunks of rock shot out of the sand and landed a few meters away. He smiled that he got it through the sand and walked to the 4 chunks of rock. He focused his chakra into them to make them look like hands. He finally got the four of them to look like hands, and then he would lift one, and try to get it to close. Once he got it to close, he would force it to plummet back into the sand. He did that with all 4, and then tried it one final time. The rock hands shot out of the sand, flew a few meters, closed, and them plummeted into the sand. He smiled and wiped his hands against each other.
