To be dead did not mean that you were forgotten, nor did it mean that your death had to be specifically meaningful to a particular someone, that anyone could mourn your loss for the sacrifice you had given to the world or just for your loss in general. It was an idealistic concept, but LanFan felt that those who had passed deserved more in death due to what they had achieved in life, that once dead your name should be remembered by all, not just by a few. That, there was life in every breath, and once a living person had stopped breathing the memory should pass on, keeping the dead alive. So long as the memory of the lost was within your heart, and as long as you kept breathing, then their life would never be over. It was a cycle, something that needed to be understood for one to truly appreciate humanity as a whole, not just as pawns in the game of something greater.
It was night out; the day had just ended as the sun made its final show before vanishing over the horizon. The stone rested in the center of the area, a circle of tiles around it where many pathways would branch out from it, so that those coming from different locations would be able to reach it. There were lamp posts out too, just starting to be lit by the night watchmen who patrolled the area. The stars had yet to make their presence known, the darkness not yet fully black. Surrounding the area were a great amount of trees, mainly cherry trees native to the village. The pink blossoms in full bloom as they caught in the wind and littered the off gray tile upon the walkways.
Light footsteps would cause the petals that had built up to move out of her way, some of them being crushed and others being moved due to the air created from her movement. A girl who was close to womanhood would be seen walking down the path, her dark black hair giving off sheen from the lantern’s light. LanFan’s clothing was all black, giving her the appearance of a mourner, long sleeves and pants covering her skin. Many people would approach her, asking if she had lost anyone. LanFan would simply smile and wave off the people’s concerns or condolences, simply saying that it was her ninja garb and not to make any fuss of it. Many were surprised because her cute face did not seem to be fit for such an occupation.
Stopping at the memorial stone she would smile to herself, realizing that she had definitely been reading too many books about war heroes. LanFan would sigh, not because she was sad or depressed, but because she was annoyed with her ability to work herself up over concepts that should not really concern a young girl like herself. Though, if one were to really think about it, what was it that ninja fought for these days? To be honest, most of these people on the stone must have had some form of ideology, some reason for fighting. Though, lately it seemed people fought just because they could, and killed on the same basis.
That thought reminded her of her arm, the left one that she had taken from her, and then replaced. She had not lost it in a battle, but in an accident, however she was certain that others had not been so lucky, that it had been taken from then in a fight. LanFan would shake her head, wanting to simply forget her thoughts of things that did not concern her. After all, what power does a little fifteen year old girl actually hold in the world? At that point in time she would walk away from the stone, the names she had read remembered as she sat upon a bench that was positioned next to a lamp, illuminating her face and body to those who walked around her. Stressed out over nothing, she would close her eyes, her head looking up towards the stars. LanFan's heart desperately aching to change the subject...But how would she accomplish this?

Hinoko let out a slight sneeze as a petal landed on her nose, tickling the skin a bit. She sniffed, and continued her slow, leisurely walk towards the Memorial Grounds. She usually just went to this place because it was quiet, and she could continue writing her stories... though, today was pretty sunny, and she expected a few people to be there. She didn't mind today, for some reason. Being alone all the time was usually fine with her, but people still need interaction right?
After lifting her eyes away from the ground, they wandered forward, then up to the sky. The petals were almost white... like large snow flakes. She rather liked it, and made a note to write something like this moment down into her book. The tree's made slight streaks across the dirt path she was walking down, making it seem like a photo of sorts, with late evening light filtering through the tree's, and catching on the petals. It was kind of nice, to be honest... She scuffed her foot a little bit, making the older petals on the ground flutter up into the air. Shadows were usually scary, but the air was warm and smelled like dew...making it seem rather inviting. She felt however, that someone was distressed. She had an odd perception like this, and it bothered her. She didn't WANT to know what people felt, it just came to her.
The path veered to the left slightly, opening up a large cleared out area with multiple memorial stones, and a few benches around the area. Her eyes caught on a girl whom was seated on a bench, the light from the lamp above her made her features more sharp. Hinoko frowned a little, looking away and towards her grand-fathers stone. She made her way over slowly, dragging her feet a little as her head filled with memories of the past. Hinoko loved her grand-father very much, but she only knew him for the first 10 years of her life. He died about 5 years ago, leaving Hinoko behind with only memories, his ashes in an urn, and tears. She hadn't cried since then, because there couldn't possibly be no greater pain. Her father was buried next to her grand-father, but she had terrible memories of him, and decided to block it out.
The feeling of distress emanating from the girl a few hundred yards away was immense, and it made it difficult to pray. She frowned again, concentrating on setting up the incense and the other necessities needed for prayer. She lowered herself down slowly, sitting on the back of her feet as she assumed the formal position, lightning the cherry scented incense, folding her hands together flat, and closing her eyes to gray to the deceased family member. It was sad...because every time she came here, she became very sad or angry. Likely because of the lingering spirits here, who felt that they left life too quickly...
She opened her eyes finally, pulling her hands apart, and blowing her incense out, letting it smolder. She rocked back on her heels, standing up gracefully, letting her hand sweep the ground slightly. The fireflies were out now, and she loved to watch them. The were similar to wisps, who often came to earth on All Hollows day. Except the fireflies emotions weren't as strong, and she could watch them happily without worrying about someone else.
She took in a deep breathe, and finally came out of her little reverie, taking one last glance at the moon and the fireflies near the edge of the forest. She turned and out of the corner of her eye, she saw the girl who had been on the bench, make her way out of the clearing. She raised her eyebrows slightly, and watched her for a moment, wondering if it were safe for a young girl like her to walk around in the dark. While the Memorial Clearing was brightly lit with a few people, the path way back was not lit up, and had shady characters hidden in the woods near-by.
''Hey! Uhm... You shouldn't walk around in the dark, alone.'' Hinoko blushed a little, and rubbed her head with her left hand, her right hand reached out slightly towards the girl who was about to leave the scene. She hoped her words had reached the ears of the girl. If not... Well, then she would probably have to run after her. Hinoko didn't like running that much, but her code prevented her from letting the girl wander off alone. She probably had no reason to worry, because this girl seemed to be a kunoichii, but plenty of people could take advantage.

Denaya approached the memorial stone and ignored the other two females in the area. Mainly because she came here to read her book. She walked over to the stone and laid a hand on it. She lowered her head and whispered, "I'm sorry oh great ones." And she walked and sat down on the bench. She opened her book and began to read. Her book was a tragic love story.
The main character was a woman named Sakura. She was in an abusive relationship and she left it and ran into Jin, Jin was the man who took her from her husband and brought her into a new lifestyle, a new home, a safer home. Denaya enjoyed reading about romance because it made her believe there was still hope for her in her love life. She looked over as she heard one of the girls tell the other girl she shouldn't walk around in the dark alone. Was she looking for company? Possibly trying to flirt? Who knew, but Denaya would wait for any interaction to come to her as she enjoyed her book.

If I look hard enough. Into the setting sun. My love will laugh with me. Before the morning comes.
As night fell upon Konohagakure No Sato, the citizens within it acted accordingly. Children were already in bed, rebellious young whippersnappers began to sneak around, and the once bustling and crowded streets became nearly vacant with an eerie silence. Yet, in the midst of this all, there was Megumi Kessho who found herself strolling all the way over to Konohagakure No Sato’s memorial stone. She was not one of the mentioned rebellious young whippersnappers, however. No, no-- just a young woman prepared to mourn the loss of those that had perished in the war. This included her father and sensei, but as well as the family members of her close one, Sakumo Aburame. Yes, the one eyed kunoichi would be mourning on behalf of two individuals, because Sakumo was like family. His loss was also her loss. Truth be told, it had been awhile since she had gone to the stone for them and for some reason, tonight just felt like the night to visit them once more like she had in the past. She delicately carried her bouquet of white lilies; a flower that represented purity and one she found to be quite fitting. The one eyed kunoichi knew her cheeks would become stained with tears by time she left the slab of stone and went back home. Not many tears, but tears none the less. Megumi wasn’t one to typically show these emotions in public willingly. Perhaps that was why tonight seemed like such a good night to do so? After all, in the depths of dark, no one would be there to watch her cry.
A quiet sigh left the one eyed kunoichi. She felt her chest gradually become heavy knowing she was to be within the east part of Konohagakure no Sato. Naturally, this is were the memorial stone was to be and as her thoughts became clouded with the memory of her lost ones, the heaviness on her heart did not ease off in the slightest, but instead weighed her chest down more. It must have been evident she was currently swimming a pool of displeasure, because to her surprise, she found herself momentarily stopped. “Little lady, are you alright?” questioned an elderly man who appeared to be closing up some sort of tea shop. Megumi vaguely recalled visited their in the past once or twice. “Oh.. I-I’m alright.” she replied with an odd answer, it being half true and half a lie. A faint smile graced her feminine face. She was alright- everything about her was alright. The only thing not alright was her current influx of negative emotions. The elderly man looked at her white lilies and then back up at her face. He seemed to have an idea or two as to what was going on. “Well, goodnight, sir.” the one eyed kunoichi quickly said her farewell, not wanting to be prolonged any longer. The sooner she visited the memorial stone the better and so she continued to walk through the dark night by herself until she reached her destination.
To her surprise, the memorial stone was not just by itself. Near the area was what Megumi believed to be three other young ladies. Why, of all the nights, did this place suddenly become a bit more lively and not resembling as much to a ghost town-- what the one eyed kunoichi had actually hoped for. An awkward feeling surfaced through out Megumi, much like the heavy and gloom feeling from just a little bit ago. She didn’t want to mourn in front of people. She wanted privacy with the memorial stone and the brave dead shinobi it represented. Her grip slightly tightened over her bouquet of white lilies, fidgeting. It was then that something peculiar happened, something that sent a jolt into Megumi’s memory. The kunoichi had found her somewhat anxious gaze fall onto the girl reading a book whilst sitting upon a bench, lantern and fireflies providing enough light to see her. She was almost like a doll; white hair, black and white dress, purple eyes and purple make up. The girl was familiar-- The girl was family. “C-cousin?! Denaya-chan?! Is that you?!” the one eyed kunoichi questioned perhaps a bit rattled sounding, it had been a good while since she had seen her other cousin. Could you blame her? She approached the bench with white lilies still in hand, hoping to get a better look of the female.

OOC: I am still sitting down, but I don’t mind the error and will continue.
LanFan’s ears would twitch as she heard the shuffling of feet, the mundane movements made by your ordinary person. The smell of incense abundant, and because of this it the new lighting would not attract her attention from her solemn thoughts and self pity. Her eyes would inch open only a little bit, revealing to her the stars in the black sky. She felt like a star’s distance away from the Earth, far away and not really there, but still able to be seen. A slight shaking of her head and a sigh, she would begin to rise from the bench, the lamp giving off her features. LanFan would take a few steps away when suddenly a voice would stop her in her tracks, causing her heart to thump. She had not expected someone to talk to her at this moment and was thoroughly shocked to see a young girl speaking to her. Having been so lost in thought, she would blush for a moment before speaking “U-U-Um, could you repeat that?” her hand rubbing behind her head slightly, embarrassed that she had not heard what the girl had said. It was then that she realized her reaction, was almost identical to how the girl looked, both of their hands rubbing their heads. She would giggle, instantly lightened up as she lowered her hand down to take the girl’s hand, assuming she held it out for a handshake. However, just as she would make this action her eyes would catch the image of a girl reading a book, her eyes peering in their direction. This would make her suspicious, her hand stopping slightly before grabbing the other girl’s hand. LanFan would get over it, and would attempt to take the girl’s hand once more as to not be rude, when the sound of a voice caused her to jump, she would look over into the direction and see a one eyed young woman walking towards them. LanFan would look at the girl whose name she presumed to be Denaya. She would look at them both, her voice kind and sweet “I am Hyuuga, LanFan, nice to meet you both.”

Denaya looked up from her book after hearing a familiar voice. "Cousin Megumi?!?!" She jumped up and squeeled and gave her a huge hug. "What happened to your eye?" She felt concern for her cousin she hadn't seen her in many years she missed seeing a lot of her family. She was really excited to finally see someone from her family again. "How's Uncle and Auntie?" She smiled softly at her cousin then looked to the lady that approached them.
"Hello, I'm Denaya Kessho. nice to meet you as well." She smiled at the new female. She was very pretty for dressing and seeming like a boy. She had the typical eyes of a Hyuuga, and dressed in all black. She had an eerie chill around her, and the air around them seemed to cool down a little bit. Denaya was confused by the random weather change, but shrugged it off as nothing.

Hina blinked slightly, her ears popping as she heard a rather loud yell directed towards another girl in the area. She frowned, in slightly annoyance, but shrugged it off. Quickly, as to avoid being rude, she turned her attention back to the girl who was about to walk off, but somehow Hina had caught her attention. She let out a snort as the girl did an almost exact replica of what she just did. It was rather entertaining really...
Her head tipped slightly, as the girl she had yelled out to held her hand out not once, twice, but three times in an attempt to shake her hand. Hina could hardly help letting out a small giggle at this girls awkward-ness. It also seemed as though she did not hear what Hina said earlier... “I am Hyuuga, LanFan, nice to meet you both.”Hyuga... Interesting. Hina smiled a little, attempting to make this LanFan girl more comfortable, as she reached out her hand and participated in the formal little handshake. Though, almost by accident, she ended up blurting out something she would probably regret. Whoa... You're cute! She immediately clapped her hand over her mouth, blushing slightly at the ridiculous comment. She had just met this person, and she was already flirting...Sad, really.
She coughed, to clear her throat, and began an apology, before being cut off by another rather loud yell coming from another girl in or near the memorial grounds. "Cousin Megumi?!?!" Hina flinched, because the yelling was much to loud to ignore. After a moment, it quieted down enough to where she could focus on the girl again, her eye twitching slightly in annoyance. Erm...Sorry about that. LanFan? Unique name. I'm happy to have met you... Hina attemped another smile, but thought perhaps she was being a bit too friendly. Uhm... What I said before? I uh... mentioned that a girl like you shouldn't go wandering off alone, when its dark out... Im sure its none of my business, but still. Code of Honor, you know? She gave a little laugh, not entirely meaning to laugh at her own joke. It was rather over nervousness, rather than anything being funny at all.
Her ear twitched, a second later, as she heard a few footsteps veering away from a path to her far right, and move towards them. She sighed, cursing herself. Not much luck for her tonight, but...it didn't seem as though the person who was coming near was to keen to talk to others however. She could tell... emotions wafted off people like freshly prepared food. Or so Hina thought, most people couldn't tell apparently. Hina twisted her head a little, just to get a better look at the two people who had moved closer.
She startled slightly at the sight of the other girls missing eye, but other than that she seemed perfectly fine. The other girls eyes were a bit red, likely because she may have been crying somewhat. They weren't as attractive as her little aquantince LanFan, but they were still pretty enough for her to notice it. "Hello, I'm Denaya Kessho. nice to meet you as well." Hina frowned again, though making it less noticable that she was displeased. What the hell?...Am I invisible or what? Hina cleared her throat, and replied, rather loudly, to let them know she was in-fact, still there. Well met, Denaya... She gestured to herself, before continuing her introduction. Hinoko. That was it. She didn't need a long introduction, for she had no intent of becoming friends with these people, but seeming rude was the last thing she wanted to do, so she followed her intro with a slight smile.
Not even a second later, her eyes wandered back to LanFan, searching for a sort of reaction, but eventually her amber cat eyes were attracted to what she was wearing, and the like... She had a fashion sense, though it could likely use a little work. All black was flattering on some people, Hina supposed. She shrugged ever so slightly, more to herself, than anyone around her. After taking one last appreciatative glance of LanFan, she started back up again, not wanting to drag on a silence. Nice night, hm?... Probably the worst thing she could have said, but hey, no one said the weather was a topic that was doomed to fail right? She had read books on conversations and making friends. Maybe this was a time to test it...

If I look hard enough. Into the setting sun. My love will laugh with me. Before the morning comes.
"Cousin Megumi?!?!" -- with an alarming leap, the girl that had been reading her book had lunged for the one eyed kunoichi, wrapping her arms around her and embracing her. Megumi returned the affectionate gesture along with a small smile gracing her face, though with a bit difficulty seeing as she was attempting to keep her white lilies in good condition-- without being crushed. "What happened to your eye?" her cousin questioned with a bit of concern. Her stomach churned ever so slightly, but her smile remained. “Ah, you know... It’s a bit of a long story. Just consider it a war scar.” she answered with a chuckle following close behind her words. "How's Uncle and Auntie?" her cousin questioned once more. It was really only to be expected, though-- a single obvious reason. They had not seen each other in many years. However, the one eyed kunoichi didn’t know how to go about on answering that one last question. At least, not right at the moment. Denaya obviously didn’t realize that ‘uncle’ and ‘auntie’ were longer well and breathing. They were dead. Yes, Megumi would have to inform her pretty little cousin another time when their was more privacy to offer. Not only were they in public, but other people were around.
“We’ll have to catch up, Denaya-chan. At a more suitable time and place, you know? Yuna, your other cousin, though I’m not sure if you remember her, will also be happy to hear you’re still around.” she simply replied with her small smile still displayed for those to see. Megumi’s attention then swayed to a different target, or rather, targets. “I am Hyuuga, LanFan, nice to meet you both.” -- she was in all black, pale eyes being proof enough that she was, indeed, part of the famous Hyuuga clan. The one eyed kunoichi remained silent as her cousin then followed suit. "Hello, I'm Denaya Kessho. Nice to meet you as well." -- a wind blew, but Megumi couldn’t say she felt much difference nor did she pay much attention to it. She was focusing on her cousin. In a way, she nearly felt as if she had been the one to parent the girl and was no watching her shape into a proper young lady. She was nice, poised as she had introduced herself. Megumi felt proud of Denaya. Yet, the one eyed girl remained close lipped as all four females within the area were now in a relatively close group. You would have thought maybe it was a ‘girls night out’ and they had known each other for years. It was an amusing scenario.
“Well met, Denaya...” -- her hair was tied up into a ponytail, attire showing she was an active person. She seemed like the kunoichi type. In fact, so did LanFan. “Hinoko.” she finished and with that, the one eyed kunoichi assumed that was to be her name. It would appear it had finally rolled over to her turn. “Keesho. Megumi Kessho.” she spoke quietly, though still clear enough to be heard. For a moment there was silence. The cool winds continued and the one eyed kunoichi let out a sigh. She couldn’t imagine staying there much longer. She would have to surely arrange another date to meet up with her cousin, Denaya. Her dark colored eye looked down at her white lilies. Megumi would have to leave them right before she left. After all, she couldn’t bring herself to mourn her loss in front of watchful eyes. “Nice night, hm?” the girl, Hinoko, said. “Oh, yes. I love windy weather. It is my favorite- very peaceful and calming.” she spoke up with her opinion, though her gaze set onto the memorial stone. It was a gaze that held such intensity that you would have thought she was attempting to burn a hole right through the monument.

OOC: Slightly confused with all the time jumping to reply to everyone’s actions, I did the best I could…<3
LanFan felt genuinely overwhelmed by all the new faces. It had been a long time since she had been so personal with anyone, quite disheartening considering she was only exchanging greetings. She would overhear what the girl was saying to the eldest girl in the group, something about auntie and uncle. Ah yes, family, a luxury she had neglected lately. She would blush then once the girl [Hino] had said she was cute, but so it would not be too weird for her she would reply “Thanks! You too!” However, she would be cut off once the girl had turned her attention to the yelling, it was brief yet she could not help but feeling slightly annoyed. Though, the annoyance would end shortly when the girl would turn back around to address her. LanFan would watch as she smiled again, but she would not think anything of it, having it pass by her. When the girl would talk about what a girl such as herself should be doing, LanFan could not help but be confused. What did the girl mean by a girl like herself? However LanFan would not be able to ask her question, and would soon forget to ask it. This was due to the girl known as Denaya , who had at this moment decided to introduce herself. However, it would make LanFan feel hot, slightly embarrassed for the other girl who had not been given acknowledgement. She would smile a bit as the girl made an effort to make her known amongst everyone. She would catch her name as Hinoko. “Nice to meet you Hino-chan!” The other woman had not really spoke much, so LanFan had forgot about her, and so she jumped when the voice filled the air, but she would reply kindly “Nice to meet you!” There would be a hanging question in the air, about the weather that the woman would seem to pick up, as if her introduction had not disturbed the flow. LanFan would not necessarily ignore the question, but she felt that it was high time to get out of this place and go do something with her new…”friends”. So, picking up her courage she would pipe up “H-H-How about we leave this place??!? We s-should go do something fun!”
