It was the first time she had wore her shorts outside.

In Kiri, the weather was eternally cool, which prevented villagers from wearing anything less than a sweater and long pants. Suzu was always so used to covering herself up and seeing others covered; so when she saw her first shirtless Konoha citizen, she was quite disgusted to say the least. Part of her reason to remain indoors stemmed from the clothes-less citizens. “It’s pretty hot out,” she commented, looking over at Kishoku. Another reason why Suzu chose to stay inside was the heat. Some days, the heat grew unbearable. She often wondered how the human body was able to withstand this weather; Konoha citizens were always out and about, despite the weather.

“In that case, I apologize, Zetsu. I know how important sleep is.” She said, looking over at the sleeping head. “It must be such a hassle having him with you. He doesn’t seem like someone who follows the rules.” She knew Zetsu could hear her, but she cared not. What really caught her surprise was the last part about their bloodline. “Merge with other people?” She repeated as her steps grew shorter and less quick. “You’ll be able to enter bodies of other people other than the ones in your family?” Fusing with your brother was one thing, but fusing with a complete stranger was something completely different. “So when the time comes, you’ll be able to enter my body?” She didn’t realize how sexual that sounded.

Kishoku had also mentioned leaving Konoha to see the rest of the world. This sparked her attention: “Really? You mean it?” At this point, she was nearly jumping with every step. “Of course, I’d love to come with you guys. I’ve always dreamed of getting out of Konoha. I’ve been here for quite a while and it no longer entertains me. The same people do the same things every day, and nothing interesting ever happens!” Suzu was careful to keep her voice down; angering the citizens would not be the best idea.

They neared a small lake, isolated from the urban life. A few people were occupying the place under the trees, but she was able to find an area equally shady, with a nice view of the lake. “Sit,” Suzu commanded to the twins, as she herself took a seat beside them. “So, tell me more about this adventure of yours. I want to know all the details!” Grabbing Kishoku’s hands, Suzu looked at him with wonder and amazement.
