Upturned Leaf [Training]

She was in this leafy expanse of trees again, and it felt like home. She had come back from the Wind, traveling throughout that burning hot sand trap. Oh she was glad to be back in the leaf, it what she was used to. Her feet brushed against the ground, creating very soft sounds that were muffled slightly by the leaves that had fallen in the ground. This land, she noticed, flowed harmlessly together. It had no end or beginning. It just connected all around, seemingly unending. Soon she came upon a small field of flowers. It took her a moment, but her mind slowly came back into the present. As her eyes drank in the scene, she nearly gasped aloud.

She was standing in a field of the most beautiful flowers that happened to grace the earth. The light that filtered between the canopy shone down upon them in the most dazzling way. The gentle hue of blues surrounded her, wrapping her up in it's embrace. And the purple and the whites caressed her skin as if a lover. So beautiful she thought, so serene. Her eyes widened even more when the world was shook by wind. This small gust of wind shook and stirred these flowers, waking up a storm. Just like the sea..just like water. Each small breeze of wind stirred them up, Gently waking them up.

Just like the sea. As the wind blew she had the image of the sea gently rocking back and forth. A sea in the middle of a forest. A sea on land. Chuckling she kept watching, absorbed in this delightful spectical. What was this flowers name? Deep down she knew it, deep down somewhere. It had reminded her of water..of the ocean. The gently sway reminded her of ships rocking against the gentle water. That was her main connection. Moments passed then she knew.

It was her father that had told her. He told her of a flower once , long ago when she was young. He told her of how it reminded him of a blue purple sea. When she was little , she remembered laughing and calling him silly. Now she smiled at her once carefree self. Though now she understood what he had meant, for she was seeing it herself. The name touched her tounge, dancing lightly. "Iris.." And with that breath she felt calm. This question answered. Smiling gently she bent down into the stormy "sea" and lightly placed her fingers upon the flowers petals. A certain warmth coursed throughout her and once more, but very softly, she whispered the name again.

This flower now held something special for her. It held past memories and now present ones. Another breeze pasted by her, now carrying her into the sea. This one was more powerful than the rest, and shook her. She felt herself give and fell into the flower sea. Laughing she became carefree. She did not care if anyone heard or saw her. For once in a long while, she was happy. That happiness consumed her and soon a reckless smile stole over her lips. The flowers brushed all slinger her body, rocking her body with each wave.

Her eyes gently drifted shut, allowing her other senses to open up. Her nose, which she had ignored fully took over. It was as if a wave crushed down over her, and she gasped, surprised. It was to overwhelming, choking her. The scents rushed throughout her and she lost herself in them. It was a nice sweet scent, clean and calming. It relaxed her, and made her body feel sleepy. Soon this small sea in the forest, captured her. And she drifted to sleep, calm and happy for once.
