Madrox stood in the forest looking around to notice all the sounds and sights around him. He heard owls hooting, Racoons running around, some owls were swooping and catching mice, while other nocturnal animals were hunting for their food. He walked into a cave figuring there might be a bear he could train his jutsu on. The bear woke up at his entrance to the cave. The bear rose to it's feet and roared. Madrox smirked, and the bear attacked. Madrox took blow after blow to build up pain for his jutsu. He threw up the hand signs and focused his chakra to shoot towards the bear to transfer the pain, and failed. The bear continued the assault and Madrox continued his hand signs attempting to blast it from a range. He failed again. The bear continued to slash at him and cut him up pretty badly.

He was beginning to lose focus but continued to try. As the bear continued to slash at his chest he began to fade out of consciousness. The bear began to bite at him and he faded to black. His life flashed before his eyes and then all of a sudden everything got bright and his eyes opened. He rose to his feet and performed his hand signs and a red pulsating beam shot from his fingers towards the bear. It began to roar in pain and he charged it. He thrusted his fangs into the bear, and began to inflict wounds and heal his own. As the bear dropped, and died. He smirked. Not only did he successfully use his jutsu, he also unlocked his pain connection.
