Save the Dangos!

Midara left the Hokages office with a smile on his face. He had acquired a mission to stop little thieves that ruin the economy of the entire village. Once he read this, anger appeared on his face. "Why would someone steal a DANGO?!" Midara slapped the paper from frustration. Dangoes are particularly common around Konoha and are cheap, so why would someone need to steal them?! "This sickens me, young low lives entering the Academy, the Academy that makes them strong and they just use their power for evil and betray us" Midara said as he shook his head with disbelief. Midara needed to get some more intelligence before he can start accusing random people. "What selfish people...to steal FOOD?!. WHY?!" The young genin yelled at himself. It was so confusing, it didn't even make sense. Might as well buy it, I mean really? Who steals food? The whole time Midara was walking to the Dango Shop, he was questioning the reasons of why. Midara knew this was going to be an easy mission, anyways. Whats so hard about academy students anyways?

The young genin already had a plan set down. He was to act as intimidating as he can and surround the Dango. He would have to call upon his summon Kizuato, which can turn out to be a bad thing if anyone were to attack and try and steal. Hopefully no one would want to steal from an almost 10 foot lion. If any of them did, they deserved to be attack. The only problem with the protecting the Dango is that he won't know who the faces of the boys whole steal it, unless they are brave enough to try and come anyways. Midara reached the Dango Shop, appearing for a mission not to eat...or steal the food. The only thing that can be seen on the genin is a white cloak, his hair, his long shining hair and his sandals.

Walking up to the counter to the manager. "I am here to protect your Dango. This is my mission." Midara said as he even showed the manager a piece of paper. The manager was a average looking man. Of course he wouldn't be able to fend off anyone while bringing a new shipment of Dangos into his shop. He had slightly tanner skin than Midara. He stood about 6'1 with a bald head. He seemed about 40 years old. He still had some muscle on his bones, Midara wouldn't pick a fight with this guy at the bar. Midara then un-clipped his cloak by the neck collar and slid it off of his body. He was wearing a genin sized ANBU outfit, with ninja wrappings that went down to his toes. He was wearing thong sandals and had a necklace around his neck. He had serveal ninja pouches around his hips and going onto his back with a black handled tanto on his right thigh. "Hmmp! You seem tough enough!" The manager said with a chuckle while he had his arms crossed.

The young genin didn't know if that was a compliment or insult, he just gave off an awkward smile. "So what do you want me to do?" Midara said in the middle of the managers laugh. "I am Duron, I am the manager here and little pest have been stealing my food. Like WHO STEALS FOOD?!.' Midara chuckled along with the manager. "Thats what I said too!" as they both continued to laugh a bit.

"So I want you to stand patrol and serve to see if the cart is coming today. The schedule is in the back somewhere. Give me some time to find it." Midara agreed by the nodding of his head as the manager left to the back. Midara was going to put his cloak behind the counter so the little thieves wouldn't steal that too. As Midara walked behind the counter and looked for an empty place to put it, he shot back up to see a boy and a girl standing there with a smile. "two please" The boy said while holding up his index and middle finger with the girl holding his other hand. "....Ummmmm" Midara just smiled as he was in a situation. Good thing there was about 5 ones in a warmer to start warm. Midara grabbed two of the warm tender dangos and threw them on the plate. Hopefully there isn't anything I'm missing he thought to himself as he handed the plate to the boy as all three were smiling.

The boy seemed happy enough and gave Midara enough money to pay for it. "Thank you" Midara said as he bowed and the couple walked away. 'Hopefully this is enough money' Midara looked at his hand to find paper and coin money. He just set it down on the inside counter, he didn't want to be seen going through the cash register. Then the manager came back."Found it my good ole boy!" as he 'playfully' smacked Midara's back. The slap caused pain that Midara didn't wanna show as he had to force a smile out. "So when does it come in?" slowly as if he was holding something in.

The manager didn't notice the boys pain. "It should be coming within the next 30 minutes...so until then" The manager threw an apron and a hat to Midara as he smiled. Midara had no other choice as he put it on. He felt ridiculous. Wearing such a prestigious armor but working at a dango shop. Midara found himself serving Tea and Dangos. It wasn't to bad, but Midara would defiantly like to be doing something else than be a courier ninja. Midara just made it training, although it might not be useful, its still training.

After 15 minutes of cooking, preparing, serving Dangos, Midara was already sick of them. Sometimes we would drastically mess up which only cause more of a problem. He only hated it because he wasn't very good at it in the beginning. His apron was a mess and his hat barely said on as the rushes of customers came in swarms. Midara was sweating from the heat in the kitchen as he was being yelled at by angry customers. Duron seemed to have it easy as he calmly relaxed the crowd and made Midara's job a little more easy, as he could focus on his food. Midara was starting to get the hang out it, drop the dangoes into a a fryer, and wait until its a golden brown and serve. He also had to make the dough and chop up the indigents, for only about 30 minutes so far, it was pretty easy. Midara was starting to like the whole dango thing now. "Alright after these two customer were gonna close up shop its already almost 10 pm" "Awww...I guess its okay" he said as a reply as they both started to laugh. After the 2 customers, they closed the front by sliding down a metal sheet which was locked at the bottom and they proceeded out the back down. Midara was able to keep the hat as a token of gratitude. This actually brought a smile to his face. 'Being a courier ninja wouldn't be so bad' He said to himself thinking about the life. Midara and Duron were holding lamps to be able to see, also with the light of he street lamps.

The life to be able to make people stronger just by food or even just make civilians happy by the rich culture and flavor of Konoha. To bad this will only be a dream for now, because he has bigger things to worry about. Now the main problem here, is that their is a cart of dangos at the gate. Once we get it, the little pest come out at night. said Duron as he pointed to the gates. It was a fairly close walk. Maybe about 100 yards away. As Midara was walking, he wanted to make sure no one would be able to attack. "Kizuato!" Midara called upon his lion as he threw down a seal on the ground. A huge lion appeared out of smoke. "Are we gonna eat anyone?! I am hungry!!" Kizuato howled up to the moon. Duron took a step back in fright as the lion looked down onto him. "th..th...thats your lion?!" he said pointing at Kizuato. The sinister Kizuato pretending to bite down towards Duron finger, just to scare him a little.

"Hey now! Kizuato! Don't scare him. We need him. You have to protect him not eat him silly!" Midara said with a clam voice. Midara was very used to the lion by now, so he wasn't intimidated by him as much anymore. Midara reassuring Duron everything will be fine. "here you go..." Midara pulled out a skewer of Dango, and tossed up into the air for Kizuato. "Its a Dango" Midara said as he patted his companion while on the other side of the lion, Duron walked a couple feet away from the lion still in fear. "Also just to be sure...Chouin Hito!" Midara said as he threw some more seals on the ground. He said as two clones started to appear from the seal of the ground. They both looked exactly like Midara even with a lamp to hold. The five of them continued down street as they finally reached the Dango cart. Duron walked up to the village guard to sign some paper as the 4 watched guard. The cart was made out of a strong wood then size of a twin bed. It had two sturdy wheels on each side with two enforced wooden handles in the front to pull by.

"Lets go" Duron said as he got between to two handles and started to walk with it. It wasn't that much of a struggle for him, he was strong. Midara nodded his head to his three teammates. Kizuato took the back so no one would try and sneak up. The two clones took the left and right as the real Midara took front and center. To guide Duron and navigate. Midara had one lamp in his hand as the rest of the lamps were of the Dango cart. The right clone puled out his tanto. The white blade shined in the dark, trying to scare anyone who would try and steal the precious dango. These guys wouldn't even let one of these dangos get harmed.

They said quiet most of the way as Duron steadily walk with the cart, they were about a 1/4 of the way. Then, a huge roar was heard. Duron stopped and wondered what happened. Midara put the hook the lamp onto the handle of the cart as he ran to the back to see what would happen. The two other clones got in a defense position as they jumped onto the edge of the cart. Being higher, they had a better view of the area. Midara looked to see that Kizuato pinned down an Academy Student. Midara calmly walked over as the boy was trembling on the ground with fear. Kizuato hungry, was drooling all over the little boy. "Next time you come here. I will eat you up!" Kizuato roared out at the young academy student. Midara looked north of the student to see others trying to find for their lives. Midara pushed the lion off the kid as the kid tried to run off. "Not so fast kiddo" Midara said as he grabbed the back of the kids shirt.

The clones up top were still standing guard as Duron came to the back. Midara looked back at the kids trying to hide and pointed his finger at them. Then bending his finger to wave them over. A group of about 4 more got up and slowly started walking. "NOW!" Kizuato roared, then the Academy Students sprinted. He fingered them all to sit down on their hands in front of the three. "Do you know who this is?" Midara said as he pointed towards Duron. Most of the students nodded as some just sat still scared. "ANSWER!"
Kizuato roared inches from their faces. "No sir!" they yelled panicking. "Well then, This is Duron-Sama" He said as Duron stood tall with his arms crossed. "I am sure you have seen him, since you have been stealing from him." The students gulped as they knew they were in trouble now.

"Now you owe him. First off I want an immediate sorry..." "Sorry Duron-Sama" They said quickly with their heads looking at him. "Second, I will tell your parents... and no whining about it. You guys are supposed to serve your village not steal from it. Now third for the next week you 5 are to report to Duron-Sama at his Dango shop and help him. Follow his every orders. If you dare eat any of his food without his permission so help you god!' Midara yelled mainly at the student who actually tried to steal from the cart. "I'll let Kizuato over here eat you up" He said as he pointed to Kizuato who grinned.

"Now then..." Midara was interrupted as his clones tackled another person to the ground.

This person was a bit older. He seemed like he was fifteen. "Now off with you students. You better never ever steal again!" He yelled at the students. Kizuato then roared them away as they ran in terror. "Now this one" he said as he waved off to the other boy. The lion jumped over to the other side of the cart towards the other. Kizuato roared so close to his face that the boys head was in Kizuatos mouth at one point. That was enough to scare him. "Never again" was all Midara simply had to say as he waved the boy off. Midara really thinks the boy won't be coming back, which is most likely true. The group then went back into their original positions as they saw the other group of 15 year olds frozen in fear of what happened to their comrade. Kizuato put strutted his body as they got up from their hiding spots and ran away.

"Don't worry Duron-Sama" Midara smiled as Duron was slightly frozen from fear also. They continued to walk the rest of the way with no problems or interruptions from people trying to steal food. Midara then suggested to take the wheel as Duron-Sama let go of his grasp. The cart was heavy and Midara was amazed that Duron did this every night. Midara started to struggle but suggested that Duron walk as his clones came up to help. It took three of Midara to successfully pull the cart only 50 yards. Which was only half the trip. Duron did it all by himself every night.

They finally reached the shop's back door. "Kizuato stay out here and keep guard" Midara said as he put a lamp on the floor. The remaining four started to unload the crates of dango. There were about 10 crates. Slowly they started to organize them and helped prepare for the next day. Most of this day was a part of Midara's mission but he just likes to help out when he can. "So you work here alone? Don't you have a son?" Midara asked abruptly. Duron just signed, "He died well" was the only thing he said as he continued. The clones continued to set things away as Midara walked to Duron. "He never died, he lives in you" he said as he pointed to Duron's heart. "Stay happy...you deserve it" Midara said as Duron took Midara's words of kindess to heart and mind as he received a smile upon his face.

Once they were done and cleaned up everything. Midara took 2 skewers to the back door to see Kizuato asleep. Midara just laughed as he put the skewers into the hands of Kizuato and sent him away to his own land to sleep. Midara walked back in to see the clones were already eating! Midara just smiled as he went to join in then Duron came to join in to. It was already dark so why not stay all night for his mission. "haha anyone hungry?" Midara joked around as they all went and shoved their faces.

"Wait...?" all eating was halted as they all dropped their food onto their plates and looked at Midara. Midara looked at Duron confusedly. "Why don't you just get the dangoes in the morning?" Duron then sat there for a couple seconds. Everyone was looking at him. Then a smile appeared on his face and he started to laugh. "HAHAHA Such a great Idea Midara!" He said as he went to grab another skewer. This invited the rest of the gang to chow down and eat. Slowly they were making themselves fat! Midara looked up back at Duron. "Thanks" Midara said as he looked up to Duron. "Funnest mission ever!" Midara said as the rest of the gang started to laugh with delight.
