| .Match One. Kojin Uchiha vs Sakumo Aburame It was simply excellent to have such glorious weather on the first day of the Moon Country's Tournament. A stunning sun that perched itself high above the sky and released pleasant light through the clouds that drifted leisurely with the summer wind. The sheer energy of the people chanting outside the stadium gave birth to the sound of trumpets that echoed across the entire stadium, signaling the great doors to open and release of flood of viewers into the stands. People from various countries, villages, and of course Moon Country flowed from the entrance in a near endless quantity, all sharing the same desire to witness the spectacular event that was about to take place. Within minutes the stadium was fully occupied with cheering spectators and with another segment of a trumpet resonance the entrance doors closed in a final slam. Members of the tournament's faculty began materializing inside the arena grounds, the proctor himself wearing a black suited attire and a full medical unit wearing their white coated uniform. On the highest tier of the stadium a great bang was heard, and instantly silence was summoned inside the stadium. Lord Yoshiyuki, Moon Countries divine authority and political leader had made entrance into the stadium. His long flowing blue and golden robe and pure diamond accessories stood testament to his high status within the nation he held within his entire hands. His skin was glowing with the steady excitement brewing within his flesh, and his long red hair flowing like the fiery satin that it could easily replicate. Beside him were two robust and stern bodyguards that not only emitted an energy of authority but also had a posture of humbleness and care for their leader. Upon him seeing the faces of his beloved citizens and visitors, Lord Yoshiyuki was glad that he adopted the festivities of the Summer Festival within his own home and welcomed the ninja of Konohgakure and even other nations to participate in his tournament that would rattle the ninja world and will strengthen the alliance between Konoha and Moon Country.
He looked down at the giant arena located within the heart of the stadium and viewed it's contents in pure vanity of his landscaping talent. It was fifty meters in diameter with ten meter stone walls around it's perimeter. The terrain was mostly composed of low cut grass although there were other instruments placed to enhance the setting. Eight large 15ft pillars were located in a octagonal formation around the arena's edges in the grass terrain, each holding a large bowl of burning wood at it's top providing a source of fire. Around the perimeter of the arena was a ring of fresh water that divided the grassy landmass and the walls by a few meters except for the small area where the contestants walk though. Being at a near endless depth, it can provide the competitors with a source of water if they're near the edges of the ring. Overall the stadium was neat, simple, and decorative and would surely be enough to supply the fighters with the tools necessary to display their talents.
Lord Yoshiyuki made his way toward the edge of his balcony, letting his natural luminescence filter through the stadium. His bodyguards mimicked his actions like a pair of drones, standing a few feet at each side of him. By pumping chakra into this throat it allowed him to project his voice loud enough to be heard throughout the entire stadium with clarity. "The first match of the first round begins now!" He announced which exhilarated the crowd. While the crowd stridently applauded to his words he waited for them to calm down before continuing. "This match's competitors will be Kojin of the Uchiha Clan and Sakumo of the Aburame Clan!" The crowd applauded at in a light frequency which will last until both competitors meet within the field. Lord Yoshiyuki sat down on his giant golden chair and peered at the field with crossed legs. The medical unit disbanded into the stands and the proctor flickered himself in the center of the field where the two competitors will meet. The bell rang and the doors opened on each side of the field. Sakumo entered from the south, and Suijin from the north, and they approached each other until they were five meters apart in the center. With a quick "Begin!" from the proctor, he instantly flickered out of the arena, and the match had begun.

- -The first poster will be Suijin, then Adam.
-This exam is on a three day post requirement, if you fail to post in three days after your opponent you are automatically disqualified. -You are the only two who are permitted to post here. -This exam does not have a competition date, as I said, it's a three day post requirement so we expect it done quickly, if it continues due to continuous dodging, I'll proctor it like I'm supposed to and come to a conclusion. -If you exit the ground floor you will be disqualified, by no means should you harm the audience, you can however use the wall as a weapon or a surface to run on. -Be elaborate with your jutsu, explain it. Don't confuse your opponent, all jutsu are required to be attached at the bottom of a thread via a quote or a spoiler, it is not to be messy. -All standard roleplaying rules apply. -This is the first time you have heard of your opponent, unless you have met them in character before. -If you're in a death situation and you obviously don't wish to be killed, you can RP a medic coming to your rescue although that will automatically get you disqualified. |

| Nervously waiting behind the wooden door that would soon set him free towards the arena, his usually calm and assertive legs had fallen victim to his emotions, all that was going through his mind was that he would be losing this fight. While his legs would notably begin shaking away, the unexperienced genin would try and calm his nerves so that he would be able to keep a clear mind when fighting his opponent. Only the day before had his mother sent him a messenger hawk, wishing him luck from the Uchiha clan as well as from his falcon, Haruka. The Uchiha clan. A clan of the Elite's as it was also called, he would have to return home winning at least one battle or he would simply be seen as a failure to his parents and clansmen. This was something he could not afford, if he ever hoped to be someone special within the clan then he would have to ensure that his career as a genin was beyond perfect. The clan was a demanding one, that being said though the reputation is with it's clan members and if he tarnished the entire name of the Uchiha, then it would be a fate worse then death. For the next generation would have to carry on the burden of Kojin's mistakes. Once again, the young genin was allowing his emotions to take the better of him. Before the fight had even begun he was already imagining a worst case scenario, one that would probably never happen, at least he hoped never happen. Seconds ticked away at the clock before the doors would be unlocked and opened, his mind still a mess. All he would have to do is focus on something that brought him joy and courage, yet what brought him those emotions? Certainly Haruka gave him the gift of joy, yet courage was another story for if anything, it seemed as though his feathery friend had an unlimited supply of bravery in his tiny body. Then it came to him, Inuzuka, Rysa. A girl he had met only several days ago, she was different then any other woman the blossoming Uchiha had met. The way she appeared, the way she spoke and the way she felt. She was everything in his eyes. Not only were enjoyable experiences brought to his mind but also loving ones to his heart. Not to mention that he tried to gather up would little courage he had and present it to her. She seemed to only bring out the best in the boy, and now he would try to bring out the best and more. With his quivering knees slowly regaining their strength, he looked up at the clock, now waiting in anticipation for it to strike at the right time. His bravery had been restored to it's rightful place, he was now determined to win this fight and the rest of the tournament. For his village, for his clan and for her. He wouldn't allow any obstacle to block his path from here on out, there wasn't a mountain high enough or a valley low enough, nor was there a river wide enough. He would be able to accomplish any objective with this new found boldness. Taking his eyes off of the clock, he would seek that final image of Rysa in his mind, that final bit of luck before the fight. He was able to note the huge uproar from the audience as well as the Lord of the Moon Country himself. The man spoke of his name and then his opponents. An Aburame. A clan which the Uchiha knew very little about, all he has heard about them is that, unlike everyone else in the world they actually like bugs to the extent they work with them on a daily basis. A sickening thought was targeted at the Aburame, not that he was one to claim that his clan was the almighty, he just found it disgusting how one could allow such creatures to crawl, play and even work with you. He was not panic when it came to handling the insects, yet at the same time he wasn't very fond of the idea of treating them as equal. No longer could he allow his fear to get the better of him, with the bell creating the signal across the entire arena, the wooden doors would suddenly shift their status to unlocked as they swung open. The light intensity instantly hit the eyes of the shinobi, he was quite startled at first but after some time they would regain their focus on the scene. Taking his first step out of the safe keeping that was the hallway, he released any regret, any doubt or any fear that consumed his mind. He was ready to fight. He was going to win even if it meant fighting to the death! Approaching the custom built landscape, he was able to take full sight of the dedication and thought that went into this arena. Water and earth, the two elements which required the actual presence of them when using their techniques, the shape of the arena, the fire that lit the arena. Everything was planned thoroughly so that no person would ever be at a disadvantage during the fight. When his eyes gazed up at the stands, he was only met with the thousands of spectators that occupied them. A small cheer was brought to his face as he was overwhelmed by the amount of people that had made themselves visible that day. Taking his final step to the centre of the arena, he stood only five metres from his opponent. The man appeared to be somewhat taller then Kojin, his hair seemed on par in terms of colour, the jet black colour only made him curious as to what his eyes looked like. Yet this was impossible due to the glasses that he had behind, these would later become an issue for the plotting Genin. For some of his illusionary techniques would require eye to eye contact, that being said though, maybe they could still function correctly as he only required the enemy to be looking into his own eyes, not the other way round. The teenager known as Sakumo had obvious signs of physical workouts, his bulging muscles seemed to almost shoot out of his clothing, not to mention the strain his head protector must be taking while being pulled over his right biceps. The only thoughts that entered the boys mind was that he may have been a taijutsu fanatic, something that Kojin would suffer from. His fighting style was based around the long range assault and taijutsu would require close combat, making one of them suffer at the end of the day. Before the match could begin, he brought out the respect he had within him for the Aburame and wished him luck in the fight. "I wish you luck fellow Konohagakure shinobi, I hope that we both enjoy this fight and that the best man may win." Concluding with a graceful bow with his head, he would soon lose the smile that once appeared on his face. Instead he would now focus his eyes on the boy, trying to watch his movements without the assistance of his blood inheritance. He never tends to rely on it unless there is no other available option, he hoped that he would not have to rely on it within this battle, he would have to remain unpredictable and ensure that he doesn't slip up. Within seconds the proctor would give the second signal, alerting the two that the fight had begun. With milliseconds the Uchiha was quick with his movement, retrieving a single kunai that had the company of an explosive tag attached, he was rapid to lunge it forward to where the Aburame was standing. While performing this action, he would leap back around three metres, in an attempt to gain an advantage in distance. If he was ever going to have a chance at winning, then his intelligence would be put to the test and he would have to always plan three moves ahead of himself. He had already formulated a plan in his mind and he hoped it was one that was strong enough to beat the newly made opponent. The reason for the instant Kunai throw was purely for testing purposes, he simply wished to discover how well trained his reactions were. If given the opportunity, then he would allow the device to explode. Yet the battle had just begun and the audience were expecting a show. So he would play along with them and give them the show of their lives! - Spoiler:
Chakra Bank: [70.70] Kunai: [9.10] Shuriken: [8.8] Senbon: [5.5] Explosive Notes: [1.2] Explosive Pouch: [1.1] Makibishi: [10.10] Windmill Shuriken: [1.1]

| DRAW YOUR SWORDS
The roar of the crowd was something that could bring nerves, excitement or even fear to most who stood before them. The masses that resided in the stadiums seats was the kind of unit that could make or break a shinobi’s reputation, all decided by how well a shinobi would display their skillset infront of the hundreds of spectators that a had thirst for combat. Sakumo wasn’t the kind of ninja to feel any sort of emotion as he stood behind two very large gates that stood before him and the arena. His head looked down at the ground, though he could barely see anything since it was dark in the passage that he stood in, with his sunglasses over his eyes too he would close them momentarily so that the other senses like his hearing would be focusing more than usual, which was a smart move considering he was practically blind behind these doors. His breaths were deep but showed no sign of nerves. They were slow yet consistent almost with a perfect brief interval every time. It was clear that Sakumo was both calm and collected.
He had been mentally and physically preparing himself for this tournament for a while now and not once had he felt nervous about it. All that he wished was he would have been able to find out who his opponents were and study them before the fight but in most events like this that was never the case, so Sakumo would have to adapt his style based on what he learned as it happened, which was something he was more than capable of doing. He had already started developing strategies before he even knew what kind of fighting style his opponent would have but improvising would be his greatest asset over the coming days and he would be sure to prove why.
As the crowd began to cease with various chants and cheers it was apparent to Sakumo that somebody was about to make an announcement, he knew it would only be a matter of time now. A voice was heard from the rafters, clearly one of importance, announcing the combatants for this match, much to Sakumo’s dismay he found out he was partnered with a latter named Kojin, the name clearly suggesting his opponent was of the male gender, but it was the last name that was more concerning; Uchiha. One of Konohagakure’s most prominent clans, acknowledged as one of the best shinobi in the leaf village. It was time for Sakumo to ensure that the Aburame clan was no longer overlooked, their intelligent and strategizing was only matched by those of the Nara’s and with Sakumo’s intelligence being even higher than the regular clansmen he began brainstorming as soon as his opponents last name was revealed.
He knew of the Sharingan and how powerful some of its Genjutsu would be, luckily for the Aburame he had a way to counter Genjutsu if he was caught in one but he would do his best not to allow such a circumstance, with the assistance of his sunglasses for starters, allowing his eyes to be hidden from Kojin’s which would affect him being aware of eye contact. Sakumo would avoid eye contact and instead rely on the boy’s hand, body and foot movements to interpret his attacks. But of course he found himself in any kind of predicament he would improvise, and quickly.
Just hearing the names of the boys, Uchiha and Aburame facing off set the crowd into a frenzy, which set the doors in motion, creaking upon loudly even over the screams of the audience for a moment until they got even louder by the Uchiha boys presence, as he stepped onto the field. Sakumo would follow, entering from south of the arena. He too received a warm welcome from the crowd who showed both the Genin tonnes of respect with their deafening cheers. Sakumo’s posture was strong and his walk had purpose as he approached the centre, he hadn’t moved his head the slightest as it would appear he continued to look straight at his opponent when in fact he had already completed a detailed examination of the arena’s floor seeing how he could use it to his advantage immediately. Once he reached the centre he was met by Kojin.
The boy didn’t look like the typical Uchiha but he could definitely tell that he was one just by the power his eyes held. This was the only time on this arena floor that Sakumo would look into them, until the match was finished if the opportunity arose. The crowd quieted down as Kojin shared words of respect to his opponent. He would expect nothing less of a fellow Konohagakure shinobi. His words were generic but had true feelings behind them. Sakumo would reply to these words with little hesitation with one simple word. “Likewise.” The two then simultaneously bowed as the audience picked up where they left off once more.
The boys were then joined by a proctor who signalled the beginning. Sakumo immediately dropped eye contact and found himself being attacked almost instantly, looks like there was no chance for the Aburame to make the first move and Sakumo loved it. As a kunai approached the latter with almost pin point accuracy the shaded shinobi would retort, leaping to the side and rotating until his right hand reached the surface once more and then pushing himself another rotation from there until he had completed a complete one handed cartwheel. As he did this his left hand had reached behind him and pulled out two shuriken from his kit and as soon as he had a steady shot he launched both the projectiles at once, bending them perfectly as one shot wide to the boys left and the other stuck close to the right ensuring the boy couldn’t dodge either side of him they left a narrow passage for the boy to move, and wouldn’t do anything fatal if they connected, they’d barely tear the skin off his arm but this was their purpose providing the distraction necessary for Sakumo to move. Before even the eyes of the Uchiha, Sakumo would disappear as if he had teleported and just as the latter was finished dealing with the Aburame’s shuriken he would be met with a strong upward kick as Sakumo would appear under the boy, hoping to connect a strong boot to the chin to propel the boy high into the air where he’d then appear behind Kojin and go to complete this immediate onslaught with the dreaded Lions Combo. The Aburame was attempting to make quick work of his opponent with a fearsome combination that had seen many fall before, question was; could he add one more to the list?

| Eye contact was maintained with the Aburame, his inactivated - eyes would try to pierce through the dark lensed glasses that seemed to make it impossible to view the newly acquainted boys eyes. As the metallic object began hurdling it's way over to his opponent, the tag seemed to flicker about within the wind as such speed was carrying it over to the opponent. With his feet gracefully landing against the ground, he was able to collect small particles of sandy dirt within his shoes as they began to scrape across the very surface. His knees would bend in a forward motion to cushion the landing while also preparing himself in case of any unexpected attacks. It seemed as though this entire process was in slow motion for the Uchiha, everything seemed to be dragging onwards and all he could do was wait for his opponent to react to his first attack. He pondered on the thought of activating what he was born with but he simply dropped the idea, he was not a fan of using his eyes, purely for the reason of how he gained them. Only in times of absolute trouble would he ever use these dangerous tools, a controlled fight like this thought did not prove to be a troublesome moment. At least then it didn't. Seconds before the modified kunai was able to reach it's intended target, his opponent would toss something back in return to Kojin. Distracted by what was happening around his surrounding, his eyes would simply drift away to the right, observing the speed of the shuriken and the distance between the two. His intellectual mind would begin it's calculations, estimating results that may effect Kojin's next movements. Yet as he concluded what he had found out, it seemed that the shuriken on the right proved to be of little threat, in fact it would be lucky to actually scratch the Uchiha with it's current speed. Motioning his entire head to the left, he would now try to discover if the left ninja star carried the same results. He had lost focus on the Aburame though, the whole process of turning his head had turned into a blur as it was so fast. In fact, if he had taken a second look over to where his opponent was originally stood then he wouldn't even be able to find him standing there at all. He was gone. The predictions proved to be the same as the shuriken on the left, once again it would be lucky if it even touched Kojin's fragile skin. This meant that he could concentrate on Sakumo. Twisting his head once more, his eyes would try to find where the boy had managed to run off to. Unfortunately for the Uchiha though, he was too late. His eyes would try to squint away in the distance, testing to see if he had simply hidden himself in the background. All of this was futile though, for where the Aburame actually stood was beneath the Uchiha. This didn't register to him though, he was far too distracted to trying to find the boy, he never considered the possibility of him being literally under his nose. As Sakumo's leg expanded outwards so that it would make direct contact with Kojin's chin, the white - clothed ninja was startled to discover where he truly was. The corner of his eyes were able to notice the sole of his shoes, yet with his lack of training within taijutsu, speed or evasiveness he had nothing to counter this leg or even avoid it. All he could do now was prepare himself for the contact about to be made and try to make the best of it. Contact was made. The soft sandal had turned into a hard boot, with the added effect of chakra, the kick was greatly increase to it's maximum potential. The blow to the chin was strong enough to force the Uchiha backwards, to the extent to where he was actually airborne. The pain had formed within milliseconds, his pain receptors were able to read the amount of force being delivered and caused great agonizing pain to his jaw. It was even enough for his teeth to give a good clash against the above row of teeth. Not enough to damage them, but still able to add onto the pain. Attempting to regain himself and bring back his posture, it was proven far too difficult. Being in mid air will only be able to place the person at a disadvantage, in Kojin's case he was completely vulnerable for a second attack. Which is what the Aburame would mostly carry out. As his unscheduled flight was taking place, he was able to feel the small interference in the wind as the two Shuriken passed underneath him and would gradually land against the ground. He grew frustrated on focusing his attention on the Shuriken, if only he had kept his mind on the boy and not his attacks then he may have had a fighting chance. But it seemed he was still distracted. For what followed next did not surprise nor did it seem to bother him. He had grown to accept his immediate failure in this match, he was clearly unable to fight in a state of mind such as this. Rather then performing missions and training that did not place him in danger, he should have been practicing his fighting capabilities so that he would have been prepared for this tournament. Noticing a forearm that seemed to be targeting his face, his own arm was quick to block this. His mind was cleared once more, focusing himself on the fight. He wouldn't allow any emotions to interfere and also forget about any previous mistakes. Not allowing his handsome face to be damaged by this Aburame, he was met with two swift kicks to the chest. The first was an unseen attack, his eyes were once again distracted but this time by the arm of the Aburame's. The first kick proved to take the young Uchiha off guard, his entire chest felt a shock wave of pain spread across. Nothing seemed to feel damaged, all that could be felt was a greater deal of pain. The second was the final touch though. With an already weakened and vulnerable chest, the following attack would actually force bones to crack. Pain was felt throughout his entire body now. His ribcage had been placed under attack and even managed to dislodge one of the many that he carried. While feeling the brute force of the mans legs, he was now also met with the force of the landing. His back had crashed into the ground much like a meteor would. Small cracks seemed to spread themselves across the very earth he had landed upon, the force was too great to handle and all he could do now was allow his body to panic. Upon landing blood was immediately forced out of his body, anyone around him would be able to have this forced out blood splash against their own clothing and skin. Not only the audience but also the Medics were able to notice the amount of destruction that his body had just felt. It was apparent to anyone that he wouldn't be able to fight in a condition such as this. Before the skillful Aburame could continue his arsenal of attacks, the Medics along with the proctor had flickered themselves onto the battlefield. Paying close attention to Kojin's condition, all he was able to view was a green aura enveloping his body. He wasn't able to see clearly, his eyes were simply swelling up with tears of sadness as he had now realized that he had failed in the tournament. All of the training meant nothing now. He had let down his village, his friends and also his clan. Most importantly though, he had let down the girl he was fighting for. All he could do was apologize for his mistakes and allow the medics to do there job. In a crackling voice he would try to envision everyone before him, all the people he was trying to fight for so that he could apologize to them. "I'm sorry everyone, I've let you down again." |
