Name: Mizu Bunshin no Jutsu - Water Clone Technique Rank: C Type: Ninjutsu Range: N/A Element: Suiton (Water) Description: Mizu Bunshin no Jutsu is a Ninjutsu technique that utilizes water to create a Bunshin clone. Unlike a normal Bunshin, the Mizu Bunshin has the ability to interact more with the environment due to it having physical substance. This allows the clone to carry out limited attacks on its target. The range of the clone is limited however, it can not travel very far from the original body. If the Mizu Bunshin is injured, the clone will usually revert back into its natural water state. Chakra Cost: 5 Far beyond the reaches of the urban metropolis, deep within the wooded forest stood a lone figure, his visage betrayed only by the moonlights subtle touch as it beamed down upon him from a gap in the foliage far above. He did not notice this, at least not consciously. No, his mind was set on one thing and one thing only; Destroying his weakness once and for all. Within his scarred hand lay a scroll, its contents being scrutinized under his intense gaze as he absorbed the information stored within. After finishing the last line he realized it wouldn't completely solve his problem, but would certainly augment his current style and help with his difficulties at mid-range. Rolling up the scroll he placed it securely in his left front pocket, securing its safety in case of a mishap. That done, he stepped forward, cracking his knuckles in preparation for his training. Planting his feet firmly he put his hands together in the required seal, gathering the chakra needed for the technique. On his left lied a small pond, almost to small to be considered even that. Focusing intensely for a moment, he released the technique with a monotonous utterance," Mizu Bunshin no Jutsu..."
Now he waited, his eyes glued to the surface of the water as his jutsu began to take shape. Rising like a phoenix from its bed of ashes the water began to form. From the lake it lurched, landing in a puddle next to him before slowly rising upwards into the form of a human. The next step was color, including clothing, skin, and even, to his mild surprise, his weapons. Finally the head took on its final form, the clones eerily similar glare meeting Keisuke's own. As the staring contest raged onward, Keisuke was astonished to find the clone copied his next move, drawing its own blade even as he drew Masamune. Nodding to each other the swung, blades meeting in a shower of sparks," It seems the clone can perform on par with moderate amounts of power, although its limit has yet top be determined...' With that thought he kicked it up a notch, now swinging full force as the clone hastily threw up a defense. The sounds of the duel rang out for minutes, Keisuke pushing the limits of his copy as it deflected, dodged, and maneuvered around his rapid blows. Suddenly, and without prejudice, he worked into an opening in the clones defense, disarming and decapitating the clone with a single slash.
The clone, now headless, began to dissolve, reverting back into a puddle with a subtle "splash". Nodding silently in grim approval, he decided one one more go would be for the best. Returning to his starting stance he began again, pushing even more chakra into it then the last time in hopes of creating multiple clones. Once again he released the technique, six clones appearing moments later even as he bowed down on one knee from exhaustion. "It seems making multiple clones takes as such chakra as creating them individually...I suppose its better to learn it now then in the midst of a battle." The clones simply stood, the semi-circle silent as they awaited orders. Noticing this Keisuke released the technique, dispelling the water clones with a sigh. Feeling accomplished the Lunar Nightmare began the long trek back to his hotel, needing to rest after his latest feat.
