It was midday, the light shone brightly from the sun which sat rather high in the sky. However it was rather cloudy and this caused the sun's rays to be blocked partially by the heavy cumulus clouds which reminded citizens of the oncoming storm. Mordicai, the Anathema that Faith had created stood on the window pane of their second story house. Faith was no where to be found in the house. Most likely working at her job at the hospital. Mordicai wore normal clothes, nothing odd or strange, a plain pair of jeans and a simple black v-neck shirt. On his shoulder he carried a bag full of garments, respectful clothes that were meant to be dawned for religious purposes. He moved slowly at a leisurely pace towards the Administration building. He was there to denounce his false life and hopefully be willingly be accepted into society as well as a part of the village. He entered the building, before him stood a secretary. "Hi." He said cordially, the secretary looked up from her paper work, her glasses sat low on her nose and her eyes met him. "Hello. What can i do for you?" Mordicai looked uneasy, he was still a bit scared about all of this. "Well, um. Can i see the Administration?" The secretary looked at him in a sort of "are you kidding me" glare. "You don't simply ask to see the council, you must make a reservation, state your reason, and if they think its good enough they'll let you talk."
Mordicai looked beat, he didn't feel as if this was going to work out. "Well, can i use the bathroom then?" The secretary nodded, "I suppose.... Hidugo." She said, looking at a guard, the guard escorted him to the bathroom then waited outside. Mordicai stepped inside and closed the door behind him. It was a large bathroom, in the center of the building pretty much. He locked the door, it was a single service bathroom. He examined the room, placing his hands to the walls, feeling along it for something. A major support beam moved through the building here, he determined, it was near the toilet. He picked up the trash can and moved it to that location, sitting down on the toilet and opening his bag. Inside, were the garments. He removed his clothing and dawned his sentimental garments, he reached down inside the bag, and there, in a small hidden compartment was what he was truly looking for. He moved quickly. He set the timers, a silent ticking began in his head as the timer began. He gently sat each explosive inside the garbage can, all connected to a single central timer. He placed them down and threw a lot of paper into the trash can. After it was completely covered, he set his other clothes inside his bag and zipped it up.
The toilet flushed quietly but effectively, and he moved turning on the sink and wetting his hands, then drying them with even more paper towels which ended up in the trash can. He slung his bag over his back and exited the room. The guard followed, leading him out of the building. He was a bit startled at the change of clothing, but it was sentimental clothing, most anyone would know if they looked upon it. Mordicai stepped up to the secretary and bowed his head, smiling. "Thank you Madame Secretary." He said quite politely, "No problem, see you." The secretary finished with a wave and Mordicai waved back. "Have a nice day!" He called, waving back as he exited the building. Once outside, there were two small fires that guided the entrance to the building. He moved over and burned the sleeves of his sentimental coat, dawning his mask. The white mask held numerous fake cracks in it, his eyes became a bright blue color through the thin layer of transparent plastic over his eyes.
Boom.
He moved away from the building, lurking in shadows and darkness as he went. The explosions sound was almost too sweet. Cries of anguish and tears were all too sweet. The masks sweet smirk could only mirror his own. |
