Clan Name: Kyouki

Location:
The clan originated from travellers, but the current family resides in Konoha.

Signature Traits:
The Males tend to have purple or dark blue hair, whilst the females have lighter colours, such as indigo, violet or light blue. As for eye colours, the women have warm browns or wise greys, whilst men, and even some more fierce women have purples or red. The builds of the clan members are usually tall and slim, it is rare to find a plump Kyouki, and many of the clan are passive, preferring the company of a few good friends, and are shy in battle, unless alone with the opponent.
The Kekkei Genkai has occasionally formed minor 'defections', such as some members having no fingernails, or very sharp, small teeth. One very powerful member was missing an arm from birth, although this happened to be hugely to their advantage from a battle aspect.

Ninjutsu/Kenjutsu:

The clan is famed for its Raiton ninjutsu/kenjutsu specialities. These are jutsu which include the 'summoning' of weapons fashioned from Raiton chakra, and jutsus which are used in conjunction with them. There are many different types of Raiton weapons that can be conjured, but most members specialise in only a few. These include scythes, staves, swords, sais, halberds and so on. Each member has one of their own creation or modification. They do not need to be carried, as they are weapons made of chakra, but to save effort of continuously re-summoning them, they can be installed in scrolls. However, weapons is not the only use of this.
Some members use barrier jutsu over kenjutsu, and are more 'support' type nins. They can create shields to carry, some powerful enough to block jutsu of an equal or lesser rank, or create a defence for their teammates, etc etc. Other members use bows or other long range Raiton weapons in combat. They can be supportive for their team mates, or use long range jutsu to fight their opponents solo.

History:

Founding years:
The clan was founded 150 years ago, by three siblings. The founders were travellers, their Father sold things he made, such as whacky contraptions with little practical use. Their Names were Shinrai, the eldest, who was quiet and passive, like the common members, and had purple hair. It was him who used Ranged weapons and jutsu. The second son was Takumi, who was intelligent and happy-go-lucky, with Dark blue hair and indigo eyes, he mastered barrier jutsu. The youngest was Michiyo. She had light blue hair, and red eyes, and it was her who created half of the kenjutsu used today, her personal preference was scythes and scimitars of Raiton. The three did not train as ninjas until late on in life, when they finally settled down. After 7 years of training, when they were in their twenties, the discovered their Kekkei Genkai.

First generation:
Michiyo's child was born without his arm, and further research showed of how the Kekkei Genkai had affected him. Shinrai's two children explored further into jutsu, creating barriers, close range and long range weapons of all kinds, and how to use them in coherence with other jutsu. Takumi had four children, who spent hours every day training their kekkai genkai. Shinrai was made first head of clan.

Second generation:
By this time, the clan numbers were growing, and Michiyo's granddaughter was named second head of clan. They officially settled into Konoha, and were welcomed, with a small part of the clan housing given to them. Michiyo's son became the most renowned of the kyouki's, his kekkei genkai replacing his lost arm with a huge scythe, and he mastered barrier jutsu and kenjutsu.

Third generation:
The clan was much larger now, with it's original founders deceased, the bloodline was strong and it had become well known.

Past years:
Not much changed from then to now. The head of clan has been passed down, as with would be expected. The numerous Shinobi live happily, and now, every member must make a decision at 12 (if they chose to be a ninja) between Barrier jutsu, short range Kenjutsu or Long range Kenjutsu. The idea to divide into three different branches was abolished.
