| For those who don't follow the news very much, I've decided to put a little update.
London, for the 3rd day in a row, is in flames. Riots Across London are happening and nearly 300 individuals have been arrested, however the brutality and arson has not ceased to end. Riots are erupting in other areas including birmingham, tottenham, camden and croydon.
It looks as if these riots have not stopped and BBC comments that it is "Sheer Criminality" there seems to be no "goal" or reason for it going on.
Prayers go out to our English Members.
Stay safe.
I have a feeling some of our member's who are English will be on reduced activity, so I believe this is a fair enough warning to everyone.

| I second, or perhaps third, all of this. I hope to all in London that you are safe, and if not, hope you find it somewhere, by any means.
However, this just proves, once again, fault in modern society. However, things like this will be done. But, as stated before, member or not, I wish you all in England the best. |

| Can't believe these people are rioting again >> Honestly guys, they'd riot if the price of milk rose by a couple of pennies.
Luckily I'm not near London, but a lot of cities near where I am are having the same riots too. Thank god for living in a village in the middle of nowhere, I guess O:
Edit: They claim they're rioting because of all the cuts we're having here at the moment, and because police shot a man dead recently who had four kids. However; the man was also threatening the policeman at gunpoint, the police's actions were in self-defense. |

| The main reason that these riots even began in Tottenham and other areas of London was because of the man who was shot by police, the story goes that officers were following the man's car undercover when he somehow noticed them and began to open fire. Police retaliated with firing back, which they have a right to do, unfortunately the man was killed on the scene. So now all of his 'homies' are trying to find an excuse to have a fight with the police and nick some crap from shops. They're all just kids to be honest, chavs trying to look hard and idiots robbing shops. An absolute disgrace to Britain. I'm just glad I'm no where near the capital.

| Well, as a fellow Brit I'd like to voice both my disgust at the rioting and my thanks to the wellwishers. I've just heard in a Met police press conference that there are 10 year olds out there, wearing balaclavas and looting/vandalizing. I'll never support a right wing government like we have now, but at least (if history is any guide) they'll be taking a hard line with these little yobbos. |

| Sounds a lot like what happened across the "pond" years ago in LA. Some idiot gets it into their head to get into a fight with the police, ends up finding out what a dumb idea that is the hard way, and the it spirals out of control because some people just have to try to prove their tougher.
Stay safe over there and if you're in a big city this might be the time to use up some vacation time. I know that when I was working in Detroit I pulled extra shifts in the winter just so I could take the week around Halloween off.

| So I heard there was like, double the amount of police at some wedding in comparison to the riots. Priorities fail. |

| Well the police in London have really stepped up last night, the reports mentioned how it went from their usual six thousand police force on duty up to sixteen thousand. Apparently it's been one of the quietist nights down there. As for the rioters, they've finally reached an area where I live, in fact our police headquarters had been firebombed by a group of forty men. But once again, all of these people are just looking for fights, they've had no intent to actually peacefully protest they instead just wish to cause a riot. I'm hoping it'll all end by the end of this week at least, with the growing caution in different communities all police forces in the England and possibly the UK will step up their own game.

| Those officers need better equipment so they can extinguish the threats, clearly riot shields and batons aren't doing it. |

| Britain is a country where police officers don't carry around guns on a regular basis, the only time you ever see them armed with weapons such as guns is during large events, terrorist threats, large scale raiding or when a shooting is taking place in public. If they began shooting at more people it would only cause more violence and unrest, all the police can do is use the riot shields, batons, dogs and possibly tasers in the future. I've not lost hope in the police, because they're actually doing everything that's humanly possible, if the violence doesn't end though then I'll eventually give up on them myself. Besides, if CoD logic makes any sense all they have to do is hit the people twice with the riot shield and they can K.O them. |

| I heard that the police are considering firing plastic bullets at the protestors, but some of the damage is just crazy.... hope the olympic stadium doesn't get destroyed! Luckily I'm on holiday, but apparently there was a riot in the city about a mile from where i live, so I called my neighbor to ask how things were. Now I'm just worried some might nick my guitar |

| Nicking guitars!? That's blasphemy D< Keep the guitars safe.
By the way my city has avoided a riot of any sort, which is good although personally, I would lead one against those evil game shops because clearly, they don't pay their taxes and treat their customers well so we should like... totally steal all their games and consoles... yeah, in the name of politics and human rights, cuz... yeah, god damn game shops and their stealing ways! Come on lads. |

| If I became Prime Minister then I'd handle this situation a lot differently, use the tactics against the Egyptian protestors and spray them down with fire fighting hoses. - Spoiler:

| I love that. Just spray them with water and they are like "No!!! I'm allergic, got to escape!!!" Then it starts raining and they realise that there is almost no difference between this water and the one falling from the sky... crap.
But on a serious note, I hate how the media blames this ordeal on young people D< Can't they just say that the people doing this are wannabe gangs which consist of a bunch of thieves and idiots?! |

| Well to be fair, it is mostly young people causing all of this unneeded violence. There are ten years old nicking televisions and other electrical goods. In fact, someone robbed all of the glasses from Specsavers, what are they even going to do with glasses? Scare other gangs away with their perfect vision? Ridiculous. Just a bunch of chavs and gangster wannabes acting as pricks.
