Ranking Up Jutsu Question

It is not a rare sight to see something like this concerning a jutsu.

My question is, if I have trained the C-rank version of such a jutsu, and I become a B-rank nin, do I have to train it again, or does it automatically up to the B-rank level?

Naturally you would automatically obtain the B rank level. Since this is a question that you have brought up, it may be discussed to see if something like re-training is in need. But as far as I know you would automatically know the next levle of the jutsu since you ranked up through training and blah blah blah

This is not solved at all I'm afraid, I don't quite see what's 'natural' about automatically increasing the rank of your techniques simply because you've been given a new title. No, instead you will have to re - train the technique if you wish to increase the rank of it. So to stick with your example, if you have a C - Rank technique and reached a B - Rank level, you would have to re - train this technique so that it met B - Rank standards and thus able to use it at said rank. Solved? Wink

I would just like to add onto this topic in case one does not fully understand the reason to retrain a jutsu.

Using the example of school, let's start here:

You have just completed Grade 10 and are now moving into Grade 11. Last year [in grade 10] you completed a math course, but again this year in grade 11 you must once again take math. That is because there is more content that appears that one must learn successfully so one can grow and move up with the difficulty. Jutsus are the same thing. Ranking up means you are now allowed to gain access to new techniques, but you still have to train for them because they demand more from your character than what you are used to. It's as if you have mastered the basics, and as you grow, you branch off and learn more. C:
