It depends on the Moderator most of the time, though what we all tend to look out for is detail and length. So Appearance and Personality will most of the time be acceptable if they're one or two paragraphs long. History should be around three paragraphs since you have Birth, Student and Genin years to cover. Don't forget to also place detail in your combat style, it's important we know how your character fights. If you're trying out for a clan that's limited though, then a whole lot more detail needs to be placed in the application. Hope I'm not scaring you off from these clans.

I'd say two / three detailed paragraphs for Personality and Appearance. Four detailed paragraphs for History, since you have to mention how you gain your Sharingan and one detailed paragraph for Combat Style. That's if your going for the Uchiha of course. It may sound like a lot but believe me it's not, we've got to be sure that you're actually able to perform the required quality of a Limited Clan member. This applies to Uchiha, Hyuuga, Kaguya, Haretsu and the Uzumaki.
