Timeline & Ranks

Two questions.

First, is there any place on the website where there is a rough time of major events in the game world? I've been trying to revamp my clans application and while doing the history I noticed that a lot of things were clashing. It wouldn't have to be very detailed, just something like "X Konoha founded, Y Shantakai formed, Z Shantakai destroyed, B current year." It would go a long way to helping people making clans with detailed history by giving us a framework to hang the events and generations within the clan on.

Second, while ranks as they affect power and for ranking up (C to B, B to A, etc) are well-explained, there really isn't a whole lot about the names applied to those ranks for available villages. For example, in the cannon Naruto there was Genin, Chuunin, Special Jonin* , Jonin, and Kage. I'm wondering (for example) if an experienced chuunin would be considered a "Tokbetsu Jonin" or is there some other title used here and if so what would it be?

* I'm going by the best cannon description I have where a "special jonin" are chuunin who have jonin-grade abilities in a particular skill set (ex Hayate with swordsmanship or Ibiki with interrogation) but still rank lower than a full jonin who has jonin-grade abilities in multiple skillsets.

The issue with a time line is that the site goes through revamps and not everything goes according to plan for events, plots or groups, for instance Shantakai was simply abolished due to the lack of members it carried. If we were to create a time line then we'd have very little to actually show and we'd continuously be adding then subtracting plots or events, since like I said, not everything goes according to plan. I believe the site started with the rebuilding of Konohagakure and we built on from there with the Moon Country tournament. The Konoha History topic actually gives you quite a detailed piece of information about the village and it's past events already, simply try to reference from there.

We don't have the specific rank of "Tokubetsu Jounin" currently, though like you have said we already feature the rank of Experienced Chuunin. I doubt we would be including that rank any time soon since we actually include some of the ranks / jobs that the show characters occupied. Such as an Elite Tutor or an ANBU. Plus we also have some Special Characteristics that link into interrogation, so we basically have the rank without actually creating it. I'd recommend taking a look at the Professions system if you were looking for something a bit more 'special'.

Just to clarify, Exp Genin, Exp Chuunin and Exp Jounin aren't considered legitimate ranks. If you're an Exp Genin like Suijin is now for example in character you wouldn't refer to him as one, in character he's still just ranked as a Genin, just an experienced one. xD

That's the rank one solved. As for the other.... ouchie. That has got to be a pain in the backside. I'll just fudge the various generations then and claim artistic license for any contradictions. Razz
