| The time it had taken Taku to get to his current position was less then three minutes, knowing exactly where he was going. He had sped through the village streets with great ease, and yet still such a powerful force moving so quickly had gone unnoticed. It was a little trick he knew, not a jutsu or technique of any kind, but knowing how chakra worked, even though he had more chakra then anyone in Suna, even the Kazekage himself, he was able to move unnoticed among them better then anyone else who resided there. Such a power unseen and unnoticed, was the example of a perfect death. Now he stood atop a dune of sand, staring back out towards the village, which was almost a full mile off, almost. He could see all who were coming at a steady rate across the dessert. They would get here in time, with a little to spare.
As they approached her turned around and watched the sun falling in the sky, about an hour or so away from the end of the day, and the beginning of the night. He surveyed the dessert, taking in each grain of golden sand, as that was virtually the only thing in the entire expanse of dessert. Ever so randomly a dessert critter could be acknowledged with his Oki, even though he could not see them through any light waves entering his eyes. This was the perfect spot for training in his mind, and he had very sound reason. It was deffinitely the worst as far as aiding others in their training. The dessert provided minimal coverage and places to hide. Suprise attacks were very difficult. Basically, anything accomplished in the dessert, was more difficult then in any other terain, aside from the Sabure and their sand manipulation. Earth and water jutsu were both difficult to use here. Hell, just getting some water could be tough at times.
If his team could succeed out here, they could succeed anywhere in any situation in Taku's eyes. The test he had set for them today would test just about every aspect of their ninja skills. It would be a simple test, well simple in what he would have them do, simple to understand. However, for them to complete it, they would have to act on an above genin level. He had serious doubts that they would be able to perform to such a standard, but he had hope. This test, though the possibility of failure was much higher then that of success, he did not expect them to pass, at all. And he would not hold it against them. He was here to train them, not make them feel like they were great because they complete every test the first time. The only way to do that was to set the bar sky high, and make them reach for it. The more they reached for that bar, the better they would get at reaching it, and closer would their finger tips get with every attempt.
He kept his face remained in its slack and tell no tale emotion fixture. He would have to remain impartial. They were his students, and he was their sensei. He was not their parent, their brother, their friend. He was their instructor, their drill sergent, and it was his job to turn them into the best soldiers Suna had to offer. He was expected to train them the best, as his reputation was easily among the highest in Suna. He had set the bar high for himself, and he had no intentions of disappointing anyone. As soon as the genin punks arrived, the process would begin, and he would cut them down, to make them realize, they were not yet good enough. He would destroy any inclination of being comfortable with the current level, and enstill the ever growing urge to grow stronger and excel farther, no matter how high they reached, higher was always reachable until they were dead. It was for the village. That was the job they had all taken up, that was their duty, and to ensure its safety and extend tranquility, he would not treat them like the kids they were. They were shinobi, and that title held no boundary's or pity for age. |

| Having left the restaurant as soon as Taku had dismissed them, Koujetsu headed straight to his apartment, located on the strip of Suna. The exit of the village was a mere two hundred meters away, making this an easily acceptable stop, and one that work take him a minimal amount of time.
Entering his apartment, Koujetsu immediately went to his wardrobe and swapped out of his casual wear, putting on the ninja gear that his Fuuinjutsu masters had given him as another graduation gift. A thin, but durable pair of black pants, with plenty of pockets to hide any necessary weapons and pieces of parchment that he would need for seals, was topped by a white gi. Under the gi was a fishnet shirt, which he thought was unnecessary at first, but under closer inspection, the fishnet actually had pouches down the biceps and triceps on both sides for his vials of ink. A pair of boots specifically designed to allow the walking on top of sand with minimal trace, these also black, finished his outfit.
Walking out of his apartment, Koujetsu grabbed his head band and gourd, which he had retrieved from the hot springs the previous night. The gourd had been sitting there since his masters had inscribed the seals on it that made the gourd special, almost a full moon phase now. Easily twenty eight days, something that would have allowed the gourd to generate a very large amount of water. How much was a lot, Koujetsu did not know, however he would have to assume it would be plenty to get them through this test, if this was a test.
Having never been through the Academy, Koujetsu had quickly skimmed the abilities of his teammates and sensei while filling out his own information, and he was quite impressed on the knowledge that Kaji had dug up. While their partner was a Hyuuga, and those general abilities had been explained to him by his own masters as they had originated from Konoha themselves, the information on their sensei had been eye opening, and actually impressive. Being able to find that much information on a deceased clan, and a very high ranking Jounin at that, was not an easy feat, especially without tipping off said Jounin that information was being gathered around him. That in itself rose Kaji in Koujetsu’s opinion slightly. He was one to watch and learn from, as well as be wary of.
Jumping out of his window, as that was facing the exit to Suna and it was actually faster to go across rooftops instead of the crowded streets, Koujetsu made his way to the gate, showing the guard his headband before sighing slightly and stepping out into the immensely large golden sea that was the namesake of his village. The desert, the amount of sand, and the heat waves that were visible across the desert all made for a spectacular view, especially when combined with the current setting sun. The sand seemed to glow gold and red, looking like a rich and bloody country. This must have been the site that had been seen by the Kazekage when it was decided that this area would be a very good site for the current income of the town, the casinos and the like.
Stepping outside of the village and embracing the dry heat, much better than anything that Konoha or Kiri could come up with, what with their forests and excessive moisture in the air, Koujetsu began walking toward the dunes of sand. Given the heat waves and the glare of the sun, it was actually slightly hard to determine where his Sensei actually was positioned, even with his strange sight. Shrugging and checking his internal clock, Koujetsu figured that only three or so minutes had past from when he had left the restaurant, and the order was given to be there in an hour. Plenty of time left for one last adjustment to his outfit.
Sighing as he unlatched a vial of ink and held it in a ball form using his chakra, Koujetsu held his right hand below it, palm upwards and winced as the ink settled into his hand. He was using his chakra to manipulate it, a slight amount that could be construed as a desert critter, but the smell of ink and blood was noticeable enough, as the ink formed a seal in the palm of his hand. Blinking away the tears that were the result of an unconscious reaction to the pain he was feeling, Koujetsu gathered up the excess ink and blood and manipulated it like before, putting the solution in the vial he had just used for later. The seal had seared off the bleeding and sat in the palm of his hand, throbbing like it was alive. Koujetsu grinned and sighed in relief. The seal was waiting to be activated, a living thing now in its own right.
That was why Koujetsu had been so drawn to Fuuinjutsu despite the offers of his masters to find reputable teachers for any other ninja art. Sure, Taijutsu exhibited self confidence and strength, and Weaponry required a mental aptitude near the requirement of sealing, but there was something about creating a nonliving item, or image, that felt alive to the user. It throbbed, it begged to be used. It spoke to its creator in soft, gentle whispers, a soft caress that could be identified as being similar to the feeling a couple gave one another when truly in love. The seal was a part of Koujetsu, and everything he had strived for. Should the seal fail, Koujetsu would fail doubly, failing himself and his chosen art in the ninja world.
Turning back to the sands, Koujetsu caught a glimpse of his sensei on a dune off to the right of the village, a very good distance off. He checked his clock and sighed. The seal had taken a good three minutes to create. About four minutes remained to reach his sensei and possibly the rest of his team.
Shrugging at the time constraints, Koujetsu bit his thumb and wiped a small amount over a seal on his arm, applying a very small amount of chakra, about a D-Ranked worth, and grinned as one of the boards he had made the previous day popped out. One of his master pieces, at least for a Genin, the board was one of Koujetsu’s proudest works of art. He jumped on and applied another small amount of chakra to the board itself, and flew across the sands toward the dune where his sensei was last seen standing. The heat waves were back now, and the glimpse had disappeared, but that didn’t matter. Koujetsu had a destination now.
A bump and a jump into the sand in front of his sensei, causing the board to flip up into the air and somehow land next to Koujetsu, he landed on his feet, head bowed slightly and he bent down and picked the board up, placing it upright in the sands to hold it still. He had wasted a bit of chakra getting here, now was not the time to waste more in resealing the item. Only enough chakra for a D-Ranked jutsu had been wasted, as the travel distance had been very minor and barely long enough to even waste an E-Ranked amount of chakra.
Bowing toward his sensei, Koujetsu checked his internal clock. Two minutes remained. Looking up finally, he looked around the area, looking for his teammates. He would was been here sooner himself, but he was not coming to the test unprepared, even if he wasn’t expecting it. He was here before the designated time, and thus, in Koujetsu’s eyes at least, he was on time. Being literally on time signified being late to the Genin, and that was unacceptable.
The seal on Koujetsu’s palm throbbed slightly as he thought about his next course of action. The seal was originally planned to be used against his sensei, but the more he thought about it, the more the specialties of his teammates came into play, especially Kaji. If the information in the booklet was correct, and Kaji’s bloodline did what Koujetsu remembered reading, this may be a very good chance. However, Koujetsu realized suddenly, it would be quite hard to hide this plan from their Sensei, just based off of the general bloodline description that Kaji had found out.
It was nearly impossible to sense his sensei’s chakra now, despite the sheer amount the man seemed to have. Actually, being able to not sense even a Jounin’s chakra levels unnerved Koujetsu slightly, as that meant that this man was very skilled in chakra manipulation. That realization caused a slight fear to settle in the back of Koujetsu’s mind, an egging nervousness that could prove to be fatal if he could not shake it off.
Grinning slightly as he saw Kaji, Koujetsu lifted his hand with the seal on it up in the air, symbolizing he wanted a high five. Hopefully this worked. Hopefully Kaji had read his information and recognized the seal on his palm otherwise this idea was useless. Koujetsu had gotten the idea from skimming over Kaji’s abilities, and he hoped the same thought process occurred in the other Genin. However, to be inconspicuous, Koujetsu also held out his left hand Shizu, whom he also sensed was present. This, hopefully, would distract their sensei for the moment while Koujetsu manipulated the chakra into the palm of his hand, slowly, calmly, but definitely noticeable to their Sensei. This should work quite nicely, provided Shizu followed suit. The resulting effect should look like a waste of chakra, merely using it to create a very loud high five, one that would echo into the village with a very sharp crack.
Shaking his head as he took a few steps toward his teammates, Koujetsu dispelled the nervousness that was plaguing his consciousness. He had one of the most powerful Genin teams he had ever heard of, and one of the strongest Jounin in the history of Suna. If anything, he should be feeling anticipation, not nervousness. But then again, he realized, he was already feeling that. The anticipation of greater things to come, the adrenaline rushing through his body, all of these things began to slowly emerge through Koujetsu’s body and state of mind. He sighed internally at the occurrences in his body. He has been sleeping too long, inactive too long since his initial training with his masters, back before they had finally settled down to live in Suna, under a powerful Fuuinjutsu master that was the Kazekage.
Halting for a moment, Koujetsu closed his eyes and stared at the back of his eyelids before opening them again and staring at his teammates, a wild, animalistic grin appearing on his face, while his eyes seemed to glow a brilliant blood red in the setting suns light. This would be a good day, a very good day indeed.
”Let’s show this Jounin what we can actually do, eh? I think it’s time to stop being underestimated, even if we are the lowest morsel on the food chain currently.” |

| Kaji slowly made his way up as his sensei did he moved quickly and swiftly already knowing where the events were headed. He slung his pack over his shoulder and smirked as he let his hand grab the paper that had been placed on the table by Koujetsu. He had acknowledge Shizu and he was correct in believing that he wanted his sources to remain a mystery since well it just seemed cool. As he followed his sensei out of the shop his eyes glanced down onto the paper and his analytical side came into action.
Kaji’s Redish-purple eyes seemed to haze over as a personality shift had occurred and soon his more analytical side appeared named Mizo. However no one in this group would know it Kaji had an essential mental disorder that caused his entire being to be split. This allowed him to develop multiple sides that could be used to his advantage. The current persona Mizo was the analytical and strategic side due to him lacking any ideals.
As Kaji walked his eyes just glanced across the page and he took in everything. Lucky for him the information was organized and it held minimal details meaning he didn't have to take in much. He looked across the page and read the information that was as followed in a rude and almost unreadable handwriting showing that it had been rushed. It gave his specialties, elements, and a extensive list of Jutsus that he had. There was also the fact that he had Fuuinjutsu and he numbered it right down the list. Kaji then sprung an idea he hoped Koujetsu could remember these numbers and he would be able to utilize them by calling numbers. On the back of the papers each one had a seal drawn onto it. It was quickly done but it was easy to distinguish through the notes. Explosion seals.
Kaji pocketed the paper and closed his eyes as he walked he then reopened them and the glossed over expression they held was gone. He had a large devilish smirk across his face as he stood in front of his apartment. He entered the apartment and it was a spotless place not a speck of dirt was seen. He carelessly tossed the backpack off his shoulder and onto a table he went to his closet and started to remove his cloak, the cloak making a large smacking sound as it hit the floor, and his red shirt. He pulled it up and off to show his milk chocolate body as he looked around and found what he was looking for. He pulled up a white t-shirt and a oversized gray shirt. He put them both on and let it settle.
His outfit was now of desert camouflaged pants and a gray t-shirt. He looked around making mental notes and soon picked up the cloak and draped it all the way around himself covering his attire and changing him into a vanilla ice cream cone with a dip of chocolate at the top since the cloak was pure white. He flipped the collar up to cover his mouth and let himself yawn. He performed a crisp about face and walked towards his bookshelf soon pulling out a book and opening it up.
The book was The lord of the flies that was hollowed out and inside was a fanny pack that he strapped onto his shoulder under the cloak and smirked closing the book. He turned around a small clink of metal coming from the pack on his shoulder and started towards the door stopping and turning towards his table. He unzipped his backpack and soon pulled out what seemed to be a pair of knives and slipped it into his belt loops. He stopped yet again and soon pulled out a green notebook. He then opened it and tore out a page of it and crumbled it into a ball.
He then made his way out of his apartment all geared up and ready. It had been about 10 minutes but he was ready and he zoomed off into the busy streets flipping over people almost scaring them half to death his devilish smile only getting more devilish as he flipped over an old man and kept running the old man falling backwards landing on the ground.
He altered his course as he went towards the village exit just before the desert and brought a focusing hand sign together channeling a minimal amount of chakra to his feet. He then instead of exiting through the exit shot up the wall directly upwards. As he reached the top he brought his right foot at the very top and focused all the chakra he had used and expelled it out of his feet and flew upwards almost like a rocket. He seemed to fly for a moment and it felt like pure ecstasy but the basic laws of gravity what goes up must come down.
Kaji’s trip down wasn’t as fun as his trip up and as he fell he did not fall gracefully but because of his current weight of about two-hundred and ninety pounds he fell like a brick but he had made it far enough to make a good enough of an entrance. As he made impact a thick layer of sand exploded into the air and as it flew out the heat was seemed magnified almost like a bomb had went off. This was kaji utilizing his bloodline and expelling most of the heat in his body. Some of the sand particles crystallized and fell but it overall came as a cloud. He soon walked out of the cloud only a few feet away from the squad.
He had his devilish smile on his face and looked around he saw that he was probably the last to arrive but he felt he had the better entrance which was not what he was going for but it was just an accident that he had gotten too excited for. As he glanced at koujetsu put up his hand he noticed the seal on his hand and he got the message. He went into his pocket and pulled out the crumpled up piece of paper that he had taken from the apartment. So it had come in handy he though as he walked towards Koujetsu.
As he focused his chakra into his hand a small ball appeared inside the paper that would unnoticeable since it would seem just like Koujetsu’s own high five except Kaji had a paper ball in it. He brought his hand up and slammed it into Koujetsu’s hand a gigantic smack occurred that would echo towards the village. Kaji had made it seem like he passed the paper ball to him. However what really happened as the paper ball switched hands so did the jutsu inside of the paper ball. Koujetsu’s seal activated upon his hand and Kaji’s Ranton ball had been sealed in Koujetsu’s palm. Kaji’s ranton ball was now able to be utilized by koujetsu at any moment. It just required physical touch to be effective.
Kaji then turned towards his sensei and looked him square in the eyes and smirked as he waited for the test to begin. ”Hey Oh, Let’s go!” Kaji chimed in to Koujetsu’s little war cry. |

| Nothingness. Shizukesa walked around a grassy plain, and he could feel everything, yet he couldn't see. Much had been troubling him lately, with his mothers death, and his leave from Konoha. He wasn't quite sure of his leaders intentions, but from what he had heard, they were good. Although, he didn't talk to him very much, so he didn't know. Shizukesa was trying to relieve his mind, using a technique that his father used often. Being a Hyuuga, there main role was seeing things. Seeing things that most people couldn't see. Today, however, Shizu walked with a blindfold on. With this, he felt like there was no job, no role to play. He could feel the wind blowing through his now shortened blue hair. He could hear the river flow. Wind, water. Those were his elements, and he would flow with them on this day. He was walking through a desert which, oddly, had a large body of water right beside it. His blue hair remained stagnant and long as it rippled up through the air. He woke up and returned back to life. These daydreams were REALLY starting to bother him. And while he was running! Shizukesa had to shake his head. He had to be on task. He couldn't help his mind from wandering lately, though. It was wierd. Something was going on with him and he didn't know what. His mind began wandering on to later occurences today. He wished he had eaten, especially as he ran. Ordering only tea was an extremely bad idea for two reasons. The first reason, of course, being that the sexy waitress had spilled tea all over Shizu's lap.
He barely even got to drink any of the remainding tea that was left before the sensai had called an imediate training procedure. And the tea that was left, he didn't enjoy. Secondly, he didn't think he would be training, or running at all today, so he didn't order any food. It was stupid of him, but Shizu had always kept a neat egg roll just as his mother used to make, wrapped up in plastic, concealed in his pocket. Lee stopped, and remembered something. Why did he have to be in a rush to get there? He was pretty sure he had time. Enough time to atleast get completely prepared. Lee looked behind him, and stopped onto his knees, panting. After he was done taking a rest, he jogged slowly to his home. Well, his small apartment. He couldn't expect much after just moving to Suna, but they were kind enough to lone him anything because he was a child still. That was his sympathy card. He was a child living alone in sunagakure. Nonetheless, he was still a shinobi. He had to remember that. He was still a shinobi. He got to his front door, and opened it with the key that he’d hidden in a special location on his porch. It would require the byakugan to access, and knowledge of his front porch to be able to retrieve. Shizukesa was very forgetful, which is why he kept his key on his front porch, but he was also very secure and cautious, which is why he hid it. He got the key and opened up his front door, leading into his clean, but small, apartment. Shizukesa kept the eggroll in his pocket, walking into the kitchen to get some other food for right now. He opened his cupboard to find a plethora of moths flying out at him, some of them getting in his eyes and mouth. He spit out, and ran to his sink. Living without a girl sure did suck. Shziukesa washed his face completely, pulling a moth wing out of the corner of his eyes. He ran a bit of water through his hair, then remembered that he didn’t have much time. He shook his face and his hair off, drops of water splashing next to him on his tiled floor. He held his head, then remembered he had a fridge. He hoped that the complimentary food that came with the apartment was still good after a weak.
To his surprise, the refridgerator worked. He picked out a large piece of chicken, and ate it cold. He was just that hungry, and just that much in a hurry. While he ate, he got his casual clothes dirty. He didn’t care. He worked away at that piece of chicken until the bone shined. He wasn’t completely satisfied, but it could last him through the day. Shizukesa got up and descided it was now time for him to hurry up and change as well. He took off his white robe, and put on ANOTHER white robe. However, this one was rougher and heavier, and had many more pockets. SHizukesa went to his bedside and picked up his spear, and swung it around. It was a mistake though. The spear hit the light bulb above him and the light bulb broke. Good thing it wasn’t very bright anyway, and good things Shizukesa had good eyesight. After swinging it around, he slid it into the slot he carried it in on his back. The spear was his height exactly, so he kept it pretty vertical along his body. turned the one light that still worked, off, and went to go get something that he always kept for good luck. Back in Konoha, his friend Kaima had given him a book of his favorite drawings. Kaima had the ability to make drawings come to life. These ones couldn’t, but they were lively enough for Shizukesa, and he kept it as a good luck charm. Shizukesa walked out the door, and locked it up. he set the key down where he had put it before, making sure that noone was around and watching him. Shizukesa took a breath of fresh air, and tied his white head band that circled around his forehead, but was under his hair, so that he could still flip it and look cool.
Shizukesa began jogging again to the destination where they would train, or do whatever they did. After eating that piece of chicken, Shizukesa felt extremely rejuvenated. Like he could run without losing too much energy. Like he could battle for long periods of time as he always had. Shizukesa didn’t take long to get there, he actually lived pretty close. He saw Koujetsu there, and began walking to him, not panting at all as he had been before. He walked to him with his usual calm face on, just in time to here his pre-training pep talk. Whether it was for himself, or for everyone, Shizukesa felt inspired by it.
”Right, Kou. We can do this. I bet that the three of us together could defeat this jounin anyways, right? Kaji, Kou, let’s do this!” |

| Taku kept his head turned toward the setting sun, not wanting to turn as his genin team arrived. He could feel them all and knew in which order they were coming. First there was Kou, the trouble maker, the one who needed to learn what true respect was, for all he bore now was respect for those who could surely pound him to a pulp, and that was not true respect, that was fear. This in due time would change to true respect of the human race as a species, and so with it, he was sure Kou would develop the same noble mindset, or something akin to it, that Taku poseesed later down the road. He was going to be sure to try his best to show this kid how a real man acted amongst his fellow man, especially, when that man or woman was a shinobi, in which case all the more respect was deserved. The shinobi was a title of honor, and to be called such demanded such. This was something all of them would have to learn.
Second along came Kaji. Quite a talent, Taku was continuing his analyzing of these three as the approached. Apparently the kid was very much into being flashy. Everything he had done thus far had shown Taku this much. His extravagant dinner he had set up for them all at the Fatted Duck, the mysterious way he produced such informations on all of them, and especially the way he had made his interest which was a very controlled crash, but a crash all the same. This man would need to learn humility and the art of being subtle. These ,too, were the keys to becoming a noble warrior.
And finally at long last, the final member, Shizu approached. Quietly, inconspicuously, though not altogether unnoticeable. This kid probably needed the most work out of all of them. He was problematic, having a self centered mind set from what he could tell, even though that may not have been his intention, and that did not make him a bad kid. Taku was sure he was unaware of it, but he was self absorbed, and this was holding him back. His mind set needed to be opened up, opened up to the fact that he had the potential to be a grand warrior, his namesake at least had given him that opportunity. What Shizu needed to learn was confidence and self worth as a member of society.
All three of his genin team needed to learn something major before they could be accepted as the true grand warriors Taku knew they could become. However, unless they could learn the way of the noble, they would always fall short of coming anywhere near their senseis current level.
His thoughts raced even more as Kaji and Kou both came together and made contact with their hands. However, something had not been quite right with this other wise normal display of team spirit and encouragement. Taku could feel chakra focusing to Kou's hand as their palms met, and also was a clear feel of strange chakra in Kaji's hand. As they met, both chakras disappeared into Kou's hand. It was clear as anything what had just happened. Taku knew for certain that Kou was a fuuinjutsu type of shinobi, an art Taku had always favored, but never taken the time to learn himself. The strange chakra he had sensed in Kaji's hand with out a doubt had been that of his clans Kekkei Genkei. Being that the clan was from Kumo, and not altogether famous, he did not no much about it. However he did feel the influence of both water and electricity. Without a doubt whatever was now residing in Kou's palm was something meant to shock him and possibly stun him. Kou followed up the act by doing the same motion with Shizu, with no chakra exchange involved. Taku smirked to himself. They obviously still had no idea of his Oniryouken or what it was fully capable of, even though his eyes shone black as night, so they had to know he had something beyond a normal shinobi. If they had known, they would not have wasted such time and effort in being discreet. It was futile, he already knew what their game was at this point.
To top all this off, Shizu opened his mouth and made some comment about brining him down. As the young Hyuuga finished his sentence, on the very last syllable of the last word, The Sookato warrior turned on the ball of his foot in a flutter of cloth, and faced his trainees at last. He stared each of them in the eye in turn and spoke in response to Shizu's comment.
The difference in our powers, is as great as the distance between the sand you stand upon and the very tip of the sky, even with the three of you combined, you will only close a fraction of that distance. It is my job to close that gap, and turn you into true warriors.
As he said this he did not move, but when he finished he took a step toward them and his face grew sickly stern. It was plain that any more of their kiddish behavior was not to be tolerated for the remainder of this training, and a failure to take this seriously, would end in one of them getting hurt. Taku was a fair man, but he was also strict and hard. It was in this way he would have them ready for the approaching chunin exams in no time and with a little to spare.
Your goal is as simple as this. The three of you, in the midst of battle, must create a combination attack using all three of you and a move that your team mates do not know. You must also hit me with this attack, successfully, with out my dodging or blocking it. Beyond that, you also have till the sun goes down.
Taku took note that both Kou and Kaji had already wasted some of their chakra. That coupled with the stipulations and requirements of the task would make this difficult, above and beyond the fact that they had not at all had interaction prior to this day, though Kajis little notebooks would help them slightly if they took the time to read them before hand.
To let them no he had begun, Taku weaved three hand signs before any of their eyes would be able to track that he had moved. Following this he raised his right hand in their direction. From the palm of this hand a dark light shimmered. Following this, five kunai shaped blasts of black erupted in the youngsters direction. One was aimed for each team mate and also one between Kou and Kaji as well as between Kou and Shizu. His goal was to get them to scatter, and if they did not scatter, he would deduce that they aimed to stick together, which would be a grave mistake on their part. So far he had not moved, and the analyzing had begun.
OOC: You each have four posts to accomplish this. So if by the fifth of my posts following this one (this one not counting toward that number), you have not landed the combo successfully, you will fail. Note that the combo does not have to be deadly or even deabilitating. So long as it is some kind of combo. The purpose is to get your characters familiar with each other and begin building a sense of friendship/being comrades to each other, not to prove how strong and good you each are individually, so for the love of god, DO NOT compete with each other. |

| Koujetsu yawned slightly as he listened to his sensei speak, a trait he had come to associate with an adrenaline rush. No matter what happened, he always yawned when excited; giving the impression he didn’t care at all. His ears perked up when he heard the time limit and the conditions of this test.
Till sunset to land a combo, using a technique his teammates didn’t know about. Koujetsu thought this over as he heard it, thinking back to the information he had given Kaji. Not all of his transformations were included in the booklet he gave him, so that should count towards that condition. Something else that could work to their advantage was the massive amount of exploding seals he had placed on the papers he had given Kaji, and on his own booklet. Those alone should provide good cover fire, as they were just seals. If Kaji or Shizu applied their own chakra to that seal, they would be able to trigger the explosion, something that would prove as a good combo in itself.
A flicker of motion caught Koujetsu’s eye, and he turned his full attention to their sensei, only to see the last hand seal finish. A raised palm and 5 kunai shaped chakra forms appeared, blasting toward and between the Genin. Koujetsu swore under his breath. A Jounin was using a technique that he could have sealed away, and he wasn’t ready for it. He continued t swear under his breath as he ducked the blast, landing flat on his stomach in the sand. Picking his head up and blinking the sand out his eyes, Koujetsu reached behind him without moving from his prone position. His hand clenched, and with a whipping motion, the gourd that was attached to his back was flung forward at the sensei, its cap off and water splashing on the golden sand.
Koujetsu grinned. This was a new toy, one that he hadn’t used before and something that should have been recorded in his possession, as he kept the gourd in the hot springs area for a reason. A pulse of chakra sent at the seal in the gourd, E-Ranked, a very minimal amount, and the top of the gourd was turned into a blasting geyser due to the pressure that was being formed by the incoming water.
The water itself sped towards Taku, while the gourd cracked slightly and began to spew water all over the sand as it landed on the ground. Very quickly, the sand became saturated and shortly after the rush of water began, a foot of water lay on top of the saturated sand, extending out for a good half mile in every direction. Koujetsu’s eyes widened slightly as he stood up on the water and jumped toward the nearest sand dune. He needed dry ground for this next stage of attack, and hopefully his teammates would cover him. This was, after all, a team exercise.
Lying down on the sand, he closed his eyes and applied a very large, for a Genin at least, amount of chakra to the seal placed on his neck. This was a new seal, and one that he hadn’t used very often. As soon as the chakra hit the seal, he felt his body changing, shifting. The first part to change was his spine, growing larger and longer, stretching his skin as it hardened and reshaped itself.
Koujetsu’s legs were the next to change. A strangled gasp of pain came from his mouth as his legs split into two, becoming jointed and elongated. Above those legs, two more stumps on each ribcage could be seen, those quickly shooting out into another two sets of legs, giving the misshapen and transforming Genin a total of eight legs. Next came the head and the arms, both of those changing drastically as well. As Koujetsu’s head shrunk back into his body, his mouth widened and eyes moved up onto where his forehead would be. This didn’t matter anymore however, as the body and head became meshed into one form. Koujetsu’s arms then moved up to connect to the mouth, his fingers melding together and thumb growing exponentially larger, causing two pincers on each arm to form.
Lastly the internal organs rearranged themselves, changing in size and position as Koujetsu’s skin hardened into an external skeleton. Had he had a gag reflex, Koujetsu most assuredly would have thrown up, as the feeling of shifting internal organs was never a pleasant feeling. The transformation ended when a dull world appeared in front of Koujetsu’s eyes, signifying that his brain and optical lobes were fully functioning after the shifting.
A six foot scorpion now sat on the sand dune where Koujetsu has lain just moments before, blending in with the color of the sand quite well. The different forms caused Koujetsu’s chakra system to readjust also, now he gave off the feeling of a desert critter, a scorpion. A slight pulse of chakra sent the scorpion disappeared under the sand and heading under the water towards their sensei. The only things that could tell anyone who looked at the figure that it was originally Koujetsu were the dark orange designs across the pincers and back, signifying each different tattoo he currently held. |
