| Clan Name: Osotsu Location: Scattered, largest concentration in Konoha Signature Traits: Members of the Osotsu clan don't have any physical characteristics of which to distinguish them from any other clanless individual. However, if there had to be something to recognize them by, it would have to be long hair. This is not a genetic trait, but rather, a widespread preference most clan members take. For this reason, whether the actual hair of the member be straight, curly, wavy, or any other, the length will make it appear straight simply due to the weight. Aside from this, there is no predetermined eye color, hair color, skin color, etc. Traits of the Osotsu clan, instead, exist generally in the personality. It goes without being said that the clan are natural born medics, which is something that bleeds into their personality. There are two extremes that exist in the clan, and most exist in one or the other, with very few being anything different or somewhere in the middle. People of the clan are either very cheerful, or very depressed, and whichever they are tends to affect their healing habits. Those that are very cheerful make friends easy, but these friendships are superficial, at least to the member. These friendships are, in honesty, only a means to advance their own popularity and fame. In effect, the way they heal is selfish and selective. They understand that a "forgotten" heal can be more deadly than an overwhelming ninjutsu, and will frequently "forget" to heal those they have no more use or likeness towards. The other extreme is quite the opposite. Those that are depressed often naturally find it very hard to make friends, and are overlooked by many. The few friends they manage to obtain are lifelong friends that they would do anything for, and can often be known to express gratitude towards them. In terms of healing, these members are completely selfish. These are the kinds that would sacrifice themselves to heal a minor wound taken by the toughest ally, which can be dangerous. They are in no way selective, and do their best to keep everyone in tip top shape. They're almost like bleeding hearts in a way, and sometimes have to resist the urge to even heal the enemy.
Kekkei Genkai: The Osotsu clan does not have a named Kekkei Genkai, but their technique has gained recognition of the years and is commonly known as the "Healing Surge". The clan has developed the ability to combine medical chakra with elemental chakra, thereby creating elemental ninjutsu that heal and buff allies rather than damage and disable enemies. A downside to this, however, is that the blend of both chakra has, over time, become irreversible. When a member of the clan attempts to use a ninjutsu, it will always be used to heal, and can never function like a regular ninjutsu. For that reason, they cannot be proficient in ninjutsu as it is commonly known, and instead must go into something else if they wish to defend themselves somehow. A small benefit to this, however, is that the specialization of medical ninjutsu, for them, also includes the elemental ninjutsu that is fused with it, allowing for a second specialization. Osotsu members are generally pretty scrawny though, so physically demanding specializations are a rarity. All of that being said, the Kekkei Genkai is extremely focused on healing, as the elemental affinities of the heals increase their ability exponentially. Members are still capable of using regular medical ninjutsu, of course, but most of the time they will be using the elemental medical ninjutsu instead. As for the elements, clan members are still only capable of mastering 2, but depending on the elements, the effects will vary. The basic effects of each element are as follows:
- Spoiler:
Fire: Fire is the most healing-focused element, as it will do the most amount of healing while having absolutely no buffing effects. The fire will catch onto a person, like any regular fire, but will basically do the opposite effect. While it exists on them, it will heal any surface wounds slowly and over time, with higher ranks speeding this process heightening the healing potential. It persists until its duration is out, even if the person is completely healed.
Water: Water is best acknowledged for its dampening effects. The best way to represent the function of water is to imagine a bubble around a target. Any elemental attack that is targeted at the person will have its effect dampened, depending on the rank of the jutsu and the water. This applies to all elements, not just fire, and lightning does not ignore the water. The water also has some healing potential, but only heals minor wounds upon being placed on a person, which is much less potent than any other element.
Lightning: Lightning could be considered the middle point between buffing and healing when it comes to the elements. Lightning both heals and invigorates, but not as much as elements doing strictly one or the other. Generally, lightning will stimulate the nerves to increase speed and reaction time, while healing internal injuries and nullifying lower ranked poisons in the bloodstream.
Earth: Earth is quite easily the element known for its buffing capabilities. Otherwise known as "Strength of Earth", it is used to temporarily enhance muscle mass to increase strength, or increase resilience to poisons and such. It is also known to allow one to ignore pain, but this can of course be dangerous. All in all, it is used to make allies more durable, but does not affect speed.
Wind: Wind is the element that enhances mobility while also having healing capabilities. It is often either confused with or used instead of lightning. Wind is generally used to increase acrobatic abilities of allies by giving them the aid of the air. In a way they become lighter, making flips and spins much easier to perform. This is not the same as lightning in that it does not increase speed, but simple maneuverability. As for healing, it is used as a sort of damage prevention. When an ally is hit by a damaging attack, the wound is "blown away" so to speak. This works in terms of rank however, and whether or not all or some of the wound is healed depends on the rank of the jutsu and the attack. The amount of times the wind will negate an attack also depends on the jutsu itself.
Since not all ninjutsu is elemental, the clan was also capable of creating a few custom element-less ninjutsu that nothing but strictly heal.
History: - Spoiler:
The Osotsu clan were, at first, just a band of scientists. In truth, they weren't even a clan or family, but rather a group of friends who worked together in a medical facility. They were good people who were determined to create a more sufficient or flexible form of healing, one that could be used on the battle field actively and with ease. In short they, through genetic engineering, successfully gained the ability to fuse medical and elemental chakra together. At first, it didn't do much, but they were proud of what they had accomplished. The initial group was diverse enough that everybody married within it, and taught their children in medical practices and encouraged them to continue their work. It continued like this for only a few generations before the Kekkei Genkai the clan is known for now was born.
By this time, the family of friends had become more of a clan, but they were all still somewhat distantly related, however the Kekkei Genkai was strong in each of them. This was the beginning of the clan itself. It basically began to expand like this through each individual family with no other important points of development, though diversity was apparent. The two differing personalities the clan is known for occured because of two different families, who became the main two to have the Kekkei Genkai. These two families were those of, of course, selfish aristocrats and one of selfless laborers. This personality streak was one that could be traced all the way back to the original group of friends, though they were much less subtle about it.
Clan Jutsu:
Name: Arrow of Light Rank: E-S Type: Medical Ninjutsu Range: Short-Long Element: None Description: This is an element-less healing ninjutsu devised by the Osotsu clan, as is shared among all members as the basic heal. The clan member will perform a handsign and extend a hand in the direction of an ally. Out of their hand a beam of light, described best as an arrow, will shoot from it it and into the ally. Within the arrow will be a concentration of healing chakra that will heal them by an amount corresponding to the rank of the jutsu. It is capable of healing any kind of wound that is not instantly fatal at S rank. At its base, the jutsu will heal one wound of equal rank, two wounds of a rank below, and so on. It will heal half a wound of one rank above, half of that at two, and so on. It has no affect on poison but can nullify effects of the poison temporarily, depending on how it functions. Chakra Cost: Depends on rank used.
Name: Craft Antidote Rank: C-S Type: Medical Ninjutsu Range: Personal Element: None Description: This jutsu is used to identify and create antidotes for poisons extracted from an ally's body. The user will extract the poison from whatever source it exists in (Blood, stomach, or lungs) and conceal it, usually in a vial or whatever is necessary. Here, the actual jutsu is used, as healing chakra is pumped into the contained in which the poison is in. The poison itself is changed into its own antidote, and can be re-administered into the body to cure it. This jutsu takes immense concentration and chakra control however, and requires twice the chakra of the rank being used to perform. However it also grants information to manually craft an antidote for the same poison in the future using actual materials. Chakra Cost: Depends on the rank, however the chakra cost will be twice the norm of that rank.
[Note: Healing Elemental Jutsu are not clan jutsu, but rather any cannon jutsu on the site that heal with the described effects rather than deal damage. The non-elemental jutsu listed above are also just two basic jutsu all members would have, and serve as an example of what such jutsu would be like, as any clan member can make their own. In other words, the jutsu of this clan are very flexible.] |

| So basically your clan can mix elemental chakra with medical ninjutsu? Well if that's it than there is no point in this clan since every medical ninja can do that. You can easily do all of this with your character without the need of this clan. |

| I really don't see the point actually because as I said, you should be able to do it without clan. However my question now is, who did you ask? |
