Vine Infestation How Boring [Shikaku Misson 1]

Shikaku trudged down the pathway sadly he kicked a rock, His first mission and it was vine removal could it get anymore boring? Shikaku dragged his feet along the pathway getting gobs of mud stuck to his shoes mrs. valentine denied it but shikaku knew any time the weather was bad only boring things could follow and lo and behold the most boring mission in the entire universe fell right into to the lap of the hokage who forwarded it to some unlucky genin I.E Shikaku. "For the love of god i couldn't walk dogs or even clean up behind them?" Shikaku thought to himself, He almost slapped himself when he looked up and saw he arrived to the targeted house he expected a few vines but this? The house was amazingly ingnored by whoever lived here he was told it was an elderly woman but wow this was just sad he walked up almost tripping over a vine in the process he knocked on the door and what he saw was amazing the old woman opened the door to greet him and he looked past her as she droned on and on about somthing shikaku was sure couldn't be worth more then a hill of beans the inside of the house was almost worse then the outside vines covered almost every square inch of the small house save a small wooden chair which shikaku had assumed used to rock but now could do nothing of the sort blocked on every side by vines he sensed a slight aura of chakra coming from somwhere but before he could pinpoint it he snapped back to the old woman as she let out a roar of laughter

"Thats a pretty good story eh?" realizing he hadn't listened to a word he simply shrugged and said" Well i should begin you sit and relax and ill knock when i need to be let in to finish the inside." the lady clapped her hands together and happily said "Good i finally hooked a worker not like the pathetic vine removal service have fun!." Shikaku almost busted out in laughter have fun how? he circled around the house and began to work realizing he could easily make this a training session he made the tiger handseal and said to himself so he didn't spook the old woman Dance of the Clematis: Vine!
Shikaku chuckled to himself even in a mission as boring as this he still had a sense of humor he slowly removed his spine from his back and gritted his teeth after removing a bone there is a slight feeling of the bone being gone before the instant replacement bone. He whipped his spine which was now a resourceful whip he swung the whip like bone as hard as he could which gave it enough force to cut clear through the unusually strong vines, After around 20 minutes the vines became nothing more but mulch for the woman's yard he carefully laid his spinal whip on the ground and jumped high in the air focusing a respectable amount of chakra in to it he put double that however into his feet as he came down and landed onto the whip crushing it to shards which he placed in his ninja pouch. One of the last things his father had thought him "Never leave your bones lying around!" for the first time all day he gave a genuine laugh he remembered how their was a client when he said that the man was so scared he simply shook his head for answers for the rest of his stay, After having a good chuckle about the past shikaku went to the front of the house and knocked on the door gently the woman let him in and he stepped over the mantle ready to tackle the house of vines.

"Oh dear i can't wait to be rid of these unruly vines i would have broken my hip long ago if i didn't still have at least some of my ninja skills." Shikaku raised his eyebrows in awe he hadn't the mind to think of the old woman as anything but that amazingly the inside though smaller the the backyard had more vines under the chair around lamps couches and even the stove, Shikaku shook his head trying not to think would happen to this small wooden house if she attempted to set the vines afire he looked around wondering just how many freakin vines there were then he noticed two things that seemed extreme in the drab house the wooden rocking chair he had noticed before and another thing a red velvet couch. The old lady slid by him and flopped down in her chair "Ahh that's the stuff would you like some tea before you start on the inside? it would be cold of course since the stove is in the sorry state it's in." Shikaku refused but he frowned and said "Excuse me mam but i don't think you should sit there maybe the couch there are less vines over there." It was amazingly true the vines just seemed to almost stop as soon as they came within a few feet of the red velvet couch the lady silently shuffled across the room stepping carefully over vines to the couch which she as if on cue flopped on, Knowing the woman would be in constant danger of being hit by the spinal whip he decided on something smaller but just as effective Dance of the Camellia! he removed the shoulder bone from his right arm and felt his hand go numb in the moment of removal before regeneration "Ha! a Kaguuya eh? No wonder you finished the backyard so quickly i always liked your clan shame what fear will cause people to do..." Shikaku forced a small smile and continued with the fast cuts and gathering of the vines he figured since he couldn't turn these into mulch he could feed them to some plant eaters in the forest he was finished "At last sweet freedom!" the woman clapped her hands in a applause and said his payment would be waiting for him at the hokage's office she showed him out and shikaku went around the house to quickly dispose of his shoulder bone then shikaku almost fell over in shock all of the vines he had destroyed were back! "What the hell?.." shikaku walked around and felt the vines they were the real deal alright, Confused he walked up to the front door and knocked when the woman pulled back the door shikaku felt the urge to jump off a mountain "Son of a bitch!" the old woman gasped but shikaku ignored her all the vines here were back too shikaku saw no way out but to remove the vines again.

But oddly enough the vines grew back again "Holy hell in a handbasket! This doesn't make any sense!" he sat down angrily on the red velvet couch and thought then yawned he was exhausted and it was almost 7 Pm then a few minutes later he got up weakly he was drained for some odd reason the he looked at the ugly couch and realized it was right up against the wall as if it was attached to it then he came to a realization. Earlier having nothing better to he listen to the old lady's story the rocking chair never rocked in fact it never moved an inch both the chair had been given to her by the vine removal company the only company she had ever used, pleading with the universe he looked behind the couch and sure enough there were viens coming out of the back the chair had vines coming from under it aswell "Only one more test then." he made the tiger seal and summoned a clone using Clone Technique he summoned it right on top of the couch and to the shock of the old woman the clone instantly vanished, Shikaku turned to the old woman and sorrowfully said "It's the furniture there's a seal on it this chair and couch sucks chakra from whoever sits on them, Since your a former ninja it's easy to suck chakra from your body this chakra feeds the vines which is why they grow so strong and constantly." Shikaku then proceeded to throw the furniture into a fire he started once again he sliced the vines to shreds and sure enough they grew back no more the woman was happy yet sad "I'll make it through today on my bed but what about-". Before she could finish shikaku stopped her "I'll tell you what use the money you were going to pay me to go buy new furniture ok?" the old woman had tears in her eyes as she led him out and shikaku began his journey home

Happy he could do the right thing was reward enough.... Sort of he still had no money to prove to mrs. Valentine he was on a mission and not sleeping in the field like he was last week which resulted in him being called every name under the sun and being chased with a frying pan, But shikaku yawned and decided to worry about it in the morning he laid down and pulled his hat over his eyes sunggled up to a rock and gently flowed to sleep.
