| Poison Name: Diluted Sensory Blizzard Rank: B Poison Description: This is a poison created specifically by Marina. She originally took a poison that, over time, disables each of the senses. She added in some of her own ingredients and hyoton chakra to make these effects more personalized, or to have effects related to her clan style. Consequently however, her lack of deep knowledge for poisons caused her new poison to be somewhat diluted, making the effects lessened. In essence, the poison creates the sensation to the victim of being caught in an intense blizzard, targeting each sense one by one and causing them to sense elements of such a blizzard related to the sense until each one is disabled due to being overwhelmed by input relating to the "blizzard". Again, since this is a diluted version, the effects actually disrupt rather than disable, basically creating the sensation of a lesser blizzard, rather than an intense one. Regardless, the effect disregards things such as clothing, treating the victim as though they were naked. One administration of the poison affects just one sense, and only holds the effects on that sense for two posts. So in order for all senses to be affected at once, 5 injections must be made within at least 2 posts. Liquid State: This poison was created in a liquid state, and therefor must be injected one way or another. It travels through the blood stream and into target areas because of this. Poison Effect(s): Post 0 / The poison will have no immediate effect on the post of contact, but will be running through the bloodstream and into the brain in order to begin its intended effects. Post 1 / The effects of the poison will begin to take hold of the brain structure responsible for a sense, beginning the disruption in full. Post 2 / The effects of the poison will continue to take effect over the sense that it is targeting. Post 3 / The effects of the poison on the targeted sense will suddenly and altogether disappear, leaving the brain structure unharmed.
Additional Information: One injection of poison will target one sense. The injection following a previous one will skip the brain structure the previous one is currently affecting, and target the next one in the order. The order of sense targeting is: Taste, Smell, Touch, Hearing, Sight. The poison affects each sense as such:
Taste: The poison will reach the taste receptors in the taste buds of the tongue. This causes the the victim to begin to taste the "blizzard" if they open their mouth. Specifically, they will be able to taste snow and ice in a pattern of being blow around in the air, but will of course be unable to see it. This perception is somewhat weak, and other tastes could be tasted in the background, though the ice perception will be the primary. Smell: The poison will reach the olfactory bulbs, two brain structures that first perceive smells, causing the victim to begin to smell the "blizzard". Specifically, they will be able to smell the ice and snow in the air, as well as sweeping away any other scents as if wind was blowing them around. This effect is light, as though the winds weren't very strong, so other scents can be detected with some effort, though it will be obvious they are being blow around. Touch: The poison will have reached the somatosensory cortex in the brain, the structure responsible for touch registration, causing the victim to now feel the "blizzard". Specifically, they will be able to feel the snow and ice brushing up against their skin, as well as feel cold externally, slowly bringing their skin to a feeling of near numbness, but not complete. Other touch sensations can still be felt, but they will have a cold feeling which might disrupt accuracy. They will now be able to feel the coldness in their mouth and the cold "air" in their nose as well, aiding in those sensory disruptions further. Hearing: The poison will reach the primary audio cortex, the brain structure responsible for interpreting sounds, causing them to now hear the "blizzard". Specifically, they will hear the sounds of roaring winds. These are loud, but not so loud that they could not hear a shout from someone nearby, though it will be slightly muffled as the sounds will appear to have been intercepted by the winds. In no case is this effect deafening. Sight: The poison will have finally reached the primary visual cortex, the brain structure responsible for interpreting visual input, causing the victim to finally see the "blizzard". Specifically, they will see the ice and snow being whipped about by the wind, as well as being blinded slightly by a general look of whiteness everywhere. They will also see snow resting on most surfaces, but only flat surfaces such as the ground. This will make it difficult to see far off things, causing their image to become blurry and eventually lost in the whipping snow. At about 10 feet will things become difficult to see, 15 they will be near impossible, and 17 they cannot be seen.

| You're applying for a C-rank poison but you are putting alot of high ranking qualifications for your effects on each poison.
- - Quote :
- C-rank should cause slightly prolonged pains such as external and internal aching. May cause burns, disrupted sensory skills, prolonged aches. B-rank should cause some catastrophic internal damage such as temporary numbing or blindness, intense burns, nerve disruption
It needs to be B-Rank minimum for the sheer amount of disruption that is going on (Hearing, Seeing, Tasting, Feeling, Smelling all being manipulated) let alone it lasts 12+ posts. With all those addition posts thats A-Rank right there, considering every two posts the poison takes out another sense.
If you're aiming for C-rank, the effects have to be nerfed down exponetially when it comes to post duration. Minor disruption skill may effect one or two of the sensories and not the entire spectrum you got going on.

| Would it be more appropriate to say that one injection targeted one sense...and the effect on that sense lasted two posts? And in order for the next sense to be affected, another injection would be needed within 1 post? Therefor requiring 5 injections over the course of, at the most, 5 posts to affect everything, and even then not at once if one injection occurred each post? |

| It would be fair that one injection targeted one sense and only one sense. A poison that adapts and attacks other sensory places in the brain with the matter of five injections wouldn't make much sense. That is to say that if you planned on getting a flu shot, would five shots also decrease the risk of getting smallpox, hepatitis A, measles and pneumonia. Very unlikely.
There is the option of creating five seperate poisons for five different sensory. |

| It would make sense if you consider the way it attacks the senses, as I detailed in my post. The poison would go through to the different brain structures, and if that structure was already being affected by the poison, it would move on to the next, until all are affected, or hitting one that was effected if the effect wore off before it got there.
For example, the first injection runs to the taste receptors in the taste buds, and the poison goes no further as it affects that sense. Then, the next injection runs into the taste receptors, and as it is already affected, runs through until it hits the olfactory bulbs in the nose, stopping there and putting the effect on them, and so forth.
This could be explained by saying the poison was designed to attack the brain structures responsible for sense perception, but is used up when reaching and affecting one. |
