Jutsu slots?

Well, I've been planning on adding some more jutsu for my character, as always, but I've come across something that confuses me. I've seen other members talking about 'Jutsu slots'. Which raised the question, is there a limit to the amount of jutsu we're allowed to have? So, I checked the rules, and found this:

Quote :: The skies the limit on how many jutsu a Nin may ultimately have.

So, now I find it all a bit... contradictory. If your allowed as many jutsu as you can train, then what are these 'jutsu slots'
I'm probably missing something big here... Care to enlighten me?

There is no limit. The only limit is when you start. After that you can train as much as you want.

I too read the rules and found no mention of them, but there are two places I've seen them mentioned:

One, all who won or participated in the moon country tournament were awarded some.
Two:

Quote :: Um, if I remember correctly, I was given a free training slot for getting my butt... uh, participating in the Moon Country Tournament. I hope it's not too late, but I guess I could use that slot to train the first jutsu?

In the case you're referring to, some of the participants in the Moon Country Tournament were granted permission to learn a fixed amount of jutsu without any prerequisite training. It was a special case, however, one only for the Tournament. I believe that is the cause of confusion here?
