| Pleased to meet you all. I'm Emily. I apologize it took this long to introduce myself.
Let me tell you a bit about myself. Currently I'm a sophomore college student at Penn. State University. My major is Anthropology/Archaeology. I've been on a whopping one dig. While on campus, I'm the president of the Paranormal club. It's a lot of fun but a lot of work. I have about 17 credits on my plate right now. I'll post as much as I can when I can. I may busy some days due to both club and school activities.
Other than that, we're good to go! I'm also an artist and I'm preparing myself for my first art show in the Spring for one of our local art shows. I just hope it goes over well. I like to draw and sketch. If you want me to draw your character, let me know, I'll do my best!!
I love music. I listen to everything and anything I can in one day. I like classical rock though. The Dead, the Beatles, the Who, Janis Joplin, Hendrix, Mama's and the Papa's, anything old I love.
I'll stop boring you now. It's a pleasure to meet you and I can't wait to start rping with you all! |

| Heylo Emily, good to meet you! I confess, I'm totally sold after this introduction.
1. Archaeology is wicked cool. 2. Though I'm not really an arty type, choosing a Lichtenstein-esque (is it actually one of his?) as your avvy is one of the few areas I enjoy. Oldenburg & van Bruggen are my faves. Sculpture counts, right? 3. It's excellent to hear someone really enthuse about old school music.
Thumbs up, Em! |

| @ Fox: Yes! My avi is one of the works of Roy Liechtenstein. He's a favorite of mine. I played around with the idea of doing my art show with art pieces similar to his but I had a better idea strike my muse! Sculptures absolutely count, yes! Sculpture is my worst medium. I can't sculpt to save my life. I made a pair of clay dice over the summer while I was on a dig and...well...they weren't very square.
Archaeology is a cool field, I must say. Back breaking work though when it comes to working out in the field.
Music helps me with my art and my muses. I'm planning on doing a series of drawings inspired by 99 Red Balloons just because it got stuck in my head one day and I could imagine this entire scene going on in my head during my speech class. Haha!
@Tabris:
Thank you! It's a pleasure to meet you too. You should go to PSU, too! It's fun.

| I love you just because you aspire to be an archaeologist, much like myself one day. You got me beat by 4 years, though....

| Oh, my, I wasn't expecting such a large reception!
@U:
Yeah, we've been introduced in the Chatbox. Unfortunately, I'm trying to regain slightly over 500 dollars that was spent in the name of the club of my own money, so introductions were the least of my worries. Hahaha ^^;
@Amy I: Thank you! You're very kind as well for such a nice reception. I'm sure I'll enjoy it very much.
P.S.: It's busy work at the Uni. There's always somethin'!
@Winged Blade: I think there's a full brain up there. I haven't gotten to check recently. Hahaha. Uni is fun, but a lot of work!! Thank you for the warm welcome!
@Enma: I wish it were sometimes. I'd be able to have cool outfits, cool hair, cool make-up, cool poses, and cool friends. Most of that does not exist in my life. Hahahaha! xD Thank you for the wonderful welcome!
@Ulkira: Thank you, Shadow the Hedgehog.
@Phantom Heart: Thank you! Hahaha I'm not all too interesting. I'm rather boring, really.
@Ωμεγα: Really? That's wonderful! There's a very small community of archaeologists so I wouldn't be surprised if we ended up digging together one day! What is your main interests with digging? Also, Penn. State is a good school for archaeology/anthropology. |

| @Adam: Not too much, how about yourself? B3
@Ωμεγα: I took a class on Chinese culture and it's really, really, really difficult. I had it at 8am. Learn from those that have come before...DON'T TAKE CHINESE CULTURE AT 8AM!!! It was a terrible idea. I don't really remember anything but the speech I had to give for ten minutes in my first class for my first semester at university. It was pretty interesting.
The most difficult part about it is the names. The names are hard to pronounce so when things are hard to pronounce, they become harder to remember. I took Medieval History my second semester and it was really cool too. Archaeology...depends on what sort of classes you'll have to do for the major requirements. Such as a field school. It's expensive. I think I sold my soul more than once to go. T_T It's worth it though!! |
