| Amy, under the pretence of giving thanks, these people eat as much as they can fit into their gobs, most of it being turkey and pie. I assume you know it's origins, although I don't see how they turned that event into a feast. Happy thanksgiving all Americans among us! |

| It was originally a harvest festival feast for the Pilgrims. That's why we have feasts to celebrate it |

Too much.... turkey. No more... room. Ugh.
It's not just Americans either. Canadians (your fellows in the Commonwealth) also have the holiday but they celebrate it in October.
It also signifies that the day after is "Black Friday" - the most hectic shopping day of the year as people realize they have roughly one month to do all their Christmas shopping. Lots of sales, all the bad behavior you see in movies (and much worse), and the day anyone who works the store floors in retail dreads seeing they have to work.
*goes back to slowly dying due to over-consumption of food* |

Its the day where we rack up our debt spending for food that we might not normally purchase in such large quantities in order to impress distant family members that you will never see again until the next year. |
