Satake, Kasumi [Suna Jounin] Vide
PostSubject: Satake, Kasumi [Suna Jounin] Satake, Kasumi [Suna Jounin] EmptyWed 10 Mar 2010, 3:42 am

Note: I have express permission from Hugh to take a Sunagakure Jounin slot.

Basic Information:
    Name: Kasumi Satake.

    Secondary Title:
    Hiru [Leech], 'Kas'.

    Age:
    22.

    Gender:
    Female.

    Physical Appearance:
    Satake, Kasumi [Suna Jounin] NP2
A tall and slender-figured woman, Kasumi is eye-catchingly attractive. Her long, dark hair (often tied at the back) falls to just above her waist, and the rest naturally frame her face. Soft, silvery-blue eyes and a small but warm smile are what springs to mind when picturing her features. This adds to her 'approachable' character, making her seem welcoming to most who mean her no harm. Her skin carries a slight tan, though it is only noticeable in that she couldn't quite be described as pale-skinned.

Typically, Kasumi chooses to wear a short -sleeved, golden-yellow shirt with black markings and trims. Underneath this, she has a black netting undershirt, though this is only noticeable from the ends of the sleeves that surpass those of her overshirt's. Both garments are relatively tight-fitting, framing her figure perfectly. The final addition to her upper body wear is a pair of elbow-long, black, fingerless gloves. Below the waist, she wears tight, black trousers with yellow-gold markings at the thigh. Thin, barely noticeable shin guards are strapped just above her feet, on which simple black boots (reaching just beyond her ankles) are donned.

    Personality:
Kagura tends to come across as a quiet and reserved person. This is a simple misunderstanding – she is not reserved, and is merely choosing not to waste words. In fact, she is a headstrong young woman who sticks to her opinions and beliefs, regardless of others. She is the first to admit that she can be stubborn at times, but this only lends itself to a good leadership personality. Nor does Kasumi does not do things by halves. She is a very committed individual; always finishing a task she starts. If she knows she cannot complete a task, she will not even begin or attempt it. This attitude also translates into her hard-working attitude when training or on a mission, where she is tenacious to the last.

She fights for what can only be described as ‘morally good’ causes, putting others’ welfare before her own. This attitude forms the basis of her sense of justice, focused on helping the meek and innocent. She is a very passionate person, but does not let her emotions cloud her judgement. As such, in battle she is efficient and deadly. Like her ‘economical’ use of her voice, she doesn’t waste movements when fighting either.

Kasumi's inner-circle of friends knows her to be kind, witty and sociable. She only trusts a handful of people, and never takes anything at face value. She is very loyal; always protecting those she cares about. Her family are at the top of this hierarchy being the people dearest to her heart. Her primary fear is being taken from them, or having them taken from her. Living in Sunagakure no Sato (a fair distance from her hometown of Getsugakure no Sato, where her parents live), she often worries that something will happen to them without her around to protect them.

    Catch Phrase:
    None.

Clan Information:
    Clan Name:
    Satake [Sah-tar-kay].

    Clan Location:
    Tsuki no Kuni [Moon Country].

    Clan Traits:
Members tend to have paler colours of hair - blond and silver being the most common. Eye colour is generally blue, but there have been exceptions.

    Kekkei Genkai:
Idaten [God of Purity]. The mysterious bloodline ability of the Satake clan, the name Idaten was applied by the elder clansmen, and is far from an accurate description of the effects it induces. In simplistic terms, this Kekkei Genkai nullifies any genetically carried abilities in those in relatively close proximity to a clan member. The intricacies of this process have yet to be discovered, but it is generally assumed that this bloodline ability causes an interference in the recognition of cellular coding of others. Put simply, their bodies cannot access their inherent abilities. This does not remove a Kekkei Genkai or bloodline trait from a target, simply negates it.

The effect has a short range, in that anyone within fifty metres of the user become unable to utilize any form of bloodline ability - including special chakra bloodlines such as that of the Nara & Yamanaka clans, inherent control 'bond' types such as those demonstrated by the Aburame & Inuzuka clans, or advanced elements such as Wood or Ice. Beyond the 50 metre distance, their abilities can be accessed as normal. A passive ability that fortunately does not drain chakra, the Idaten is permanently active, although it can be deactivated for a short while if the clan member can perform the appropriate technique.

    Secret Clan Jutsu:

    Name: Idaten [God of Purity]
    Rank: -.
    Type: Bloodline; Ninjutsu.
    Element: None.
Description: A permanently active ability that fortunately does not drain chakra, the Idaten nullifies any genetically carried abilities in those in relatively close proximity to a clan member. The intricacies of this process have yet to be discovered, but it is generally assumed that this bloodline ability causes an interference in the recognition of cellular coding of others. Put simply, their bodies cannot access their inherent abilities. This does not remove a Kekkei Genkai from a target, simply negates it. The effect has a short range, in that anyone within fifty metres of the user become unable to utilize any form of bloodline ability. Beyond that distance, their abilities can be accessed as normal.

Name: Taikyo no Jutsu [Recession Skill]
    Rank: D.
    Type: Ninjutsu.
    Element: None.
Description: Though the process of restricting their otherwise permanently active Idaten bloodline ability is simple enough, it does take a Satake clan member a few moments of uninterrupted meditation to perform. Taking a meditative stance with their eyes closed and palms open, the clan member must focus of internalizing their Idaten ability. After five seconds, the range has been reduced to 25 metres. After the full ten seconds, the ability is restricted to within 1 metre of the user. This restriction will not last for more than one hour [twenty posts].

Name: Kakudai no Jutsu [Magnification Skill]
    Rank: D.
    Type: Ninjutsu.
    Element: None.
Description: Much like the Taikyo no Jutsu, which seeks to alter the range of the clan member's Idaten to just 1 metre, the Kakudai no Jutsu uses a similar meditative method to increase the range. Taking a meditative stance with their eyes closed and palms open, the clan member must focus of internalizing their Idaten ability. After five seconds, the range has been increased to 75 metres. After the full ten seconds, the ability is magnified to reach up to 100 metres from the user. This amplification will not last for more than one hour [twenty posts].

Name: Rikou no Jutsu [Discharge Skill]
    Rank: D.
    Type: Ninjutsu.
    Element: None.
Description: Should a clan member need to release the restriction or augmentation placed upon their Idaten ability by the Taikyo no Jutsu or Kakudai no Jutsu, they can perform this technique. A short but complex set of seals releases the first binding, which either expands the range of the Idaten to 25 metres or reduces it to 75 metres, depending on which range affecting technique was used. Another, shorter and simpler set of seals fully releases the Idaten once more, returning it to the natural range of 50 metres. This techique can causes headaches amongst less-experienced clan members, as the pent up ability causes a rush of energy to flood the user's body, something that can only be overcome with years of practice.

    History:
    Satake, Kasumi [Suna Jounin] Satake
The Satake clan is not particularly well-known. Originally hailing from Tetsu no Kuni [Iron Country], they sought pastures anew when the general population of Tetsu no Kuni decreed their abilities too closely-related to shinobi abilities - despite their bloodline ability that negated other Kekkei Genkai. The clan members journeyed for many weeks, eventually taking a small set of ships to the generally peaceful Getsugakure no Sato [Village Hidden Under The Moon] in Tsuki no Kuni [Moon Country]. This country, famed for being a popular holiday location, allowed them to exist in peace and have little to do with the shinobi world. The few ninja they did come into contact with had abhorred their bloodline ability and had no qualms in voicing their opinions. As such, the small Satake clan maintained a low profile existence on the borders of the shinobi world.

Though some have been called back to Tetsu no Kuni to act as mediators when shinobi meetings have been called, not one single member of the Satake clan has permanently left his or her hometown to seek their future in the wider world (where ninja are rife). However, it is only a matter of time. Though the clan elders are careful to keep the population of the Satake people to a controlled number, there are those even amongst this small group that seek to break away from the traditions imposed upon them. The fact that the clan name and bloodline is known by so very few outside of Getsugakure no Sato will undoubtedly serve these 'entrepreneurs' in good stead, but the village elders are constantly worried about the secrets that the shinobi world will learn should too many leave the confines of Tsuki no Kuni.

    Clan Details:
    Closed, for now.

Rank Information:
    Rank:
    Jounin.
    Village Affiliation:
    Sunagakure no Sato.

Special Information:
    Character Speciality:
    Main: Genjutsu.
    Sub: Taijutsu.

    Elemental Affinity:
    Main: Raiton [Lightning].
    Sub: Katon [Fire].

    Special Characteristics:
Chakra Pool: Kasumi possesses a slightly larger chakra supply than other shinobi of equal class – about 20% more. This ability has been inherent in her from birth, but it has only been recognized more recently, as her chakra control has developed to a high enough standard to reveal the slight difference in reserves between her and her peers.

Exceptional Motion: Having been taught physical combative skills from a very early age, Kasumi found that she could move her hands extraordinarily fast, forming hand seals far more quickly and accurately than other shinobi of her age. Notably, over the last few years she has been honing her physical abilities. Her flexibility and reflexes have been greatly increased, making her a very fast and unpredictable fighter, often able to avoid attacks others would be unable to dodge.

Synaethesia: Another characteristic inherent in Kasumi from birth, she has been diagnosed with a condition known as auditory – visual synaethesia. In that, when subjected to an auditory stimulus, her brain elicits both the correct auditory response and an additional visual response. Simply put, when Kasumi hears a sound, she literally sees a corresponding colour. The colours appear as waves and in constant motion so long as the sound continues, fading as the sound disappears. Different colours are elicited by different sounds. This can be both useful or distracting, depending on the situation at hand.

Reputation – Street: Kasumi is well-known and respected figure on the streets of the shinobi world, mostly for her amiable and likeable nature, but also for her professionalism. In any case, she is generally regarded as a member of the family in good standing. Kasumi may be sought out for jobs or information. She can also find such information, weapons, pharmaceuticals, and inexpensive stolen goods with little trouble. When in need, she can find a safe house in which to hide until trouble passes.

Background Information
    History:

    Childhood Arc:

Born 22 years ago to proud parents Rokuro and Mizuki Satake, Kasumi was raised into a loving but poor family. She grew up with few indulgences in her life and soon got used to spending more time with her family than her peers. Her mother, a former kunoichi of considerable renown, spent her time at home – keeping the house in order and taking care of Kasumi. Her shinobi days behind her ever since an injury forced her into early retirement, she chose to impart much of what she had learned in those days to Kasumi, and the young Satake girl took to these teachings like a duck to water. Rokuro was known for being a 'jack of all trades', and was as such rarely out of work. His true skills lay in carpentry however, and he would often bring home wooden creations for Kasumi to play with or for Mizuki to use.

These wooden crafts were often designed to make certain noises, something that Kasumi always enjoyed. A synaesthete from birth, she physically saw colours when sound reached her ears, and the 'instruments' her father provided her with were of great pleasure to the young girl. She spent most of her time playing with such toys with her family. She made precious few friends in Tsuki no Kuni, not least because there weren't many children her age around. Those who were found her a little reserved, and found her synaesthesia unsettling.

As for Kasumi, she was eager to join the shinobi ranks in Getsugakure no Sato – the family's hometown. However, the elders of the small country could not find any space within their minuscule academy for the would-be kunoichi. The only option open to Kasumi was to travel to another, larger country and gain entrance to a more open academy. Unfortunately for her, this meant leaving her family behind, as they could not afford to abandon their established life and start afresh elsewhere. Torn, Kasumi decided to put off making the decision for another couple of years. Instead, her mother did her best to home tutor her in the skills instrumental to those wishing to pursue a career as a shinobi.

    Academy Arc:

Two years down the line and Kasumi had come to a decision – she was finally ready to leave her family and enter the academy at Sunagakure no Sato. She had previously requested entrance and the return letter had stated her firm acceptance into the educational institute. Leaving her mother and father was perhaps the most difficult thing she had had to face throughout her life, and the majority of the journey she spent wishing they could have joined her. When the travelling was complete however, the arrival in Sunagakure took her mind off of things. She was shown to her accommodation – an apartment to herself, in a building shared with other shinobi students.

In the academy, she excelled and soon became the envy of the other students. Yet once they were all beyond the basic training, the skills Kasumi's mother had taught her did not cover the material they were being taught. The 'playing field' was evened out, so to speak. She felt a little like she'd been suddenly taken from the shallow to the deep end without warning, but had to assume it was the same for everyone else. The teachers were as helpful as they could be, and Kasumi continued to progress. One particular tutor, and slightly older ninja named Kazuhiro took a shine to the young kunoichi and began helping her adjust to life in Sunagakure, teaching her a few extra skills as an added bonus. With his help and the training at the academy, Kasumi graduated with flying colours and continued her journey as a Genin.

    Genin Arc:

As a Genin, Kasumi realised that there was now far more being expected of her. Until now, she hadn't revealed the bloodline ability she possessed – her mother having taught her to contain and restrict it so it would be less evident. History had taught the Satake clan that some were not particularly welcoming toward those who flaunted their ability that removed everyone else's. There had been a few 'slip-ups' in her time at the academy, moments when her ability had interfered with the bloodlines of others, but the students and teachers had mostly accepted that this was simply the students' inability to control their inherent skills. Only now did Kasumi realise that her Kekkei Genkai could quick-start her shinobi career, so long as those who disliked what she could do were more accepting than those in the past.

Kazuhiro, her previous sensei, was the first to be told of her ability. He himself possessed a bloodline doujutsu, and was amazed when Kasumi simply negated it. He took to studying the incredible Kekkei Genkai and with her permission, reported his findings to the Sunagakure elders, to Kasumi's new team sensei and to the Kazekage. In a combined effort, the three parties managed to re-arrange the teams so that Kasumi was paired with two Genin who did not possess a bloodline ability and a sensei who could manage without hers.

With the commotion revealing her ability had caused now behind her, Kasumi threw all her efforts at completing the tasks set for her by her peers and elders, and even managed to make a few new friends along the way. Having a large friend group was not something the young woman was particularly used to, and it took her about a year to adjust and come out of her shell enough to really bond with them all. When the realisation of what she had achieved in her time in Sunagakure no Sato had dawned upon her, she requested a week's leave to visit her family in Getsugakure no Sato. The village elders obliged, but suggested she wait until after the Chuunin exams, which were fast approaching.

Enlisting the help of Kazuhiro once more, this time to train her individual skills, Kasumi began training designed to help her through the exams, for which she and her team had been put forward. Her sensei and fellow team members worked on their collective abilities on weekdays and trained individually at weekends. With the structured regime helping the trio to prepare, they were all feeling relatively comfortable when the exams finally arrived. Kasumi's team passed the first, written test with ease – although most other teams did so too. During the second task however, Saburo (one of Kasumi's team mates) fell injured after only ten minutes. The two remaining Genin chose not to give up and struggled to the finish. Saburo was immediately attended to, but eliminated from the following 'final' rounds due to injury. After the first of these rounds, only Kasumi remained from her team and, determined not to let the two boys down, fought her way to the final encounter. Fatigue caught up with her at this point, and she lost the battle with a Konohagakure-nin. Yet the elders were suitably impressed with her strategy, resolve and abilities and chose to promote the kunoichi to the rank of Chuunin.

    Chuunin Arc:

After the exams, Kazuhiro approached the young kunoichi and took her aside. He explained that she had become like a daughter to him and that, thoroughly proud of her efforts, he wished to present her with a gift. A weapon unlike any other, a Veiled Blade (as Kazuhiro called it) was inside the wrapped bundle he gave to her. Affixing it to her forearm, Kasumi tested the mechanism that allowed a secret blade to strike from her wrist. Marvelling at the exotic contraption, she hugged her tutor and thanked him. She could have sworn she'd seen tears in the corners of Kazuhiro's eyes at this point, but she decided to banish the idea and begin packing.

With the new promotion under her belt and much to tell her parents, Kasumi finally embarked on the journey home. She had, of course, kept in written contact with her family, but it wasn't the same as a face-to-face conversation. Before she left, the young woman left a letter for Kazuhiro, thanking him once more for all that he had done for her. Though neither would say it, they both recognized that they would be leading more separate lives now. Despite this sobering thought, Kasumi left Sunagakure no Sato in high spirits, excited to see her family for the first time in years.

The journey was not without difficulties however. The girl had not been allowed to leave without a second Chuunin as an escort, but even the threat of two trained shinobi did nothing to put off a group of raiders and thieves from trying to kill them and steal their belongings. After fighting the group off, Kasumi realised one of them had made off with a pendant she had been given by her mother. Enraged and upset, the kunoichi diverted her course – against her partner's wishes – to track the thief. The bandit camp wasn't hard to locate, and two trained shinobi had no problem entering silently, using the cover of night. With the blade given to her by Kazuhiro, Kasumi silently stabbed the pendant thief in both hands, knocked him unconscious and retrieved her pendant. She explained to her partner later that punishing his hands was to stop him stealing others' items in the future.

The week in Getsugakure no Sato was a relaxing and enjoyable one, and Kasumi's proud parents could often be heard declaring loudly how accomplished their daughter had become. Despite this, the kunoichi simply wanted to quietly enjoy her parents' company, and the week went by without any particularly large event occurring. The return journey went far more smoothly, with no parties attacking or threatening the two shinobi.

However, upon her return to Sunagakure no Sato, Kasumi was greeted with unpleasant news. Kazuhiro, her dear friend and mentor, had died of a long-standing illness. Distressed and shocked, particularly as she had not heard of any illness before, the kunoichi spent many days in inconsolable grief. Her friends spent their time trying to bring her around, and after almost two weeks, she slowly reintegrated herself into regular life. Once she had returned to normality, the village elders paid her a visit and explained that she had been left a certain possession of Kazuhiro's. Reading through the will, it stated that a second Veiled Blade was to be given to her in the knowledge that they would never be misused by someone such as Kasumi.

Now that the grief of Kazuhiro's death had more or less passed, Kasumi threw herself back into her shinobi tasks and missions. Her attitude change was noticeable – she was more focused, a harder worker and a strict disciplinarian. Her mission statistics were higher than most others' and she was becoming a well-known name in the ninja circles. A number of years passed and her fervour, determination and her clinical efficacy was soon recognized, and she was offered a promotion to the rank of Jounin. Humbly accepting, she officially received the promotion a few days later.

    Jounin Arc:

One of the first things to be requested of the young Jounin was for her to reintegrate herself into the friend circles she had abandoned in her occupational efforts. The elders thought it important for her to retain a little human contact in order to maintain a psychological balance. As it turned out, their suggestion did her the world of good. A year on, she has now been pegged to be given a team of Genin herself.

    Role-Play Sample:
As her index finger straightened and middle finger curled, Kasumi's face remained stoic and unwavering. The sand and dirt beneath her feet began to stir and the wind quickly gathered speed. Quite suddenly, and much to the surprise of the shinobi stood opposite the young woman, the immediate area was enveloped in thick sandstorm. The wind continued to throw the grit, dirt and sand around until vision was more or less impossible – although the granules alone were far too small to really injure either party stood amongst the dunes. Squinting against the tan-brown flurry obscuring his sight, Kazuhiro covered his mouth and yelled across to the kunoichi he presumed was still nearby. ”Enough Kasumi, I'm impressed!” He shouted, spluttering immediately after as a few grains of sand found their way into his mouth.

Almost as soon as it had whipped up, the storm receded until only the beaten and worn desert plants showed any evidence that something unusual had occurred. Feeling the wind die down, Kazuhiro opened his eyes a little wider and surveyed the scene before him. He noticed it straight away – Kasumi had disappeared. The sandstorm had completely masked whatever movements she had made while it had obscured the area from sight. It took the Jounin a little time to recognize exactly what had happened, and a smile slowly grew on his face when he realised. ”Sensei.” Came a quietly smug voice from behind him.

Turning to face his student, Kazuhiro began to chuckle. ”I know. Good, huh?” Kasumi suggested, to which her sensei simply laughed a little more. ”It was completely realistic, Kasumi-san. I even felt -” He ran his tongue around the inside of his mouth, pausing with a quizzical look on his face. ”In my mouth - sand. That's quite impressive, to fool every single one of my senses with a relatively simple illusion.” He gave a satisfied grunt and gestured for the young Chuunin to follow him. ”Your mother always said you'd choose Genjutsu one day. I should have listened.” He finished, smiling affectionately at the youngster, who returned it with a somewhat mischievous grin.

Satake, Kasumi [Suna Jounin] Vide
PostSubject: Re: Satake, Kasumi [Suna Jounin] Satake, Kasumi [Suna Jounin] EmptyWed 10 Mar 2010, 3:42 am

Skill Information:

    Basic Techniques

    Quote :
Name: Kawarimi no Jutsu [Substitution Technique]
    Rank: E.
    Type: Ninjutsu.
    Element(s): None.
Description: This jutsu lets the user quickly switch places with another nearby object, such as a plant (normally a section of a log), an animal, or even another person within reach, leaving the opponent open to a counter-attack. Explosive tags can be attached to the replacement for an added surprise. Fundamentally, all ninja know this technique.

Name: Henge no Jutsu [Transformation Technique]
    Rank: E.
    Type: Ninjutsu.
    Element(s): None.
Description: This jutsu allows the user to assume the appearance of another person, animal, or object. This is one of the basic jutsu taught at the Konoha Ninja Academy. Fundamentally, all ninja know this jutsu. The transformation jutsu is considered to be among the more difficult E-ranked techniques, since it requires constant emission of chakra while mentally maintaining the form. On top of that, the user would be, most likely, interacting with the environment. This puts much mental strain on the inexperienced ninja.

Name: Bunshin no Jutsu [Clone Technique]
    Rank: E.
    Type: Ninjutsu.
    Element(s): None.
Description: This technique creates intangible copies of the user. The clones are simply illusions and will dissipate when they come into contact with something. The illusions can be seen through by the Byakugan and the Sharingan. A person with normal eyes can also distinguish the clones from the original, since the clones will not disrupt the area around themselves with their movement (won't kick up dust, crush grass, etc.).

Name: Nawanuke no Jutsu [Rope Escape Technique]
    Rank: E.
    Type: Ninjutsu.
    Element(s): None.
Description: A basic jutsu taught at the Konoha Ninja Academy, this jutsu allows a ninja to free themselves if they have been tied up.

    Name: Kai [Release]
    Rank: D.
    Type: Ninjutsu.
    Element(s): None.
Description: Kai is a Ninjutsu technique which allows the ninja to avoid the effects of a Genjutsu illusion. After forming the needed handseals, the Genjutsu technique will not affect the ninja. The ninja can also use the technique on another individual who was unable to avoid the attack. After forming the needed hand seals, the ninja touches the one affected to end the affect of the spell.

Name: Shunshin no Jutsu [Body Flicker Technique]
    Rank: D.
    Type: Ninjutsu.
    Element(s): None.
Description: This jutsu is a high-speed movement technique, allowing a ninja to move short to long distances at an almost untraceable speed. To an observer, it appears as if the user has teleported. A puff of smoke is occasionally used to disguise the user's movements. It is accomplished by using chakra to temporarily boost the user's reflexes. The amount of chakra required depends on the overall distance between the user and their intended destination.

Name: Jibaku Fuda • Kassei [Exploding Tag • Activate]
    Rank: E
    Type: Ninjutsu
    Element(s): None
Description: Utilizing chakra, the user is able to activate the explosion mechanism of a distant bomb tag.

Name: Jiminen no Jutsu [Basic Sensory Technique]
    Rank: D.
    Type: Ninjutsu.
    Element: None.
Description: A basic sensory technique, once activated this allows the user to pinpoint the location of chakra signatures within 500m of their location. It does not, however, give them the ability to gauge chakra amounts or fluctuations (caused by occurring jutsu).

Name: Kuchiyose no Jutsu [Summoning Technique]
    Rank: C.
    Type: Ninjutsu.
    Element: None.
Description: A powerful jutsu, Kuchiyose allows a ninja to summon animals, objects and the dead to fight on their behalf. To summon animals, a blood contract must usually be signed and a blood donation is required when performing the technique. This doesn’t apply for any other type of summoning.

    Satake Clan Techniques

    Quote :

    Genjutsu Techniques

    Quote :
Name: Yodouran no Jutsu [Worldly Disturbance Technique].
    Rank: D.
    Type: Genjutsu.
    Element: None.
Description: A simple but effective illusion, a target affected by [Name] will not see any immediate difference in their surroundings. However, when something around them moves or when they themselves try to move, it will be in reverse. For example, a kunai aimed at their left shoulder would in reality be flying toward their right shoulder. Or if they tried to move their right hand, their left hand would move. It is designed to complicate movement and judgement and confuse the target, giving the user time to take advantage and strike. It can be administered by sight or by touch, and does not require hand seals.

Name: Mentai no Jutsu [Optic Delaying Skill]
    Rank: D.
    Type: Genjutsu.
    Element: None.
Description: Induced by making eye contact with the target, this illusory technique causes the target to see events a couple of seconds after they have happened. For example, if the user threw a kunai, the target would not perceive that action until a few seconds after it had actually been completed. This delay allows the user to exploit certain attacks and get behind the target's defences. However, the technique is short-lived, lasting for only two posts.

Name: Sunaarashi no Jutsu [Sandstorm Technique].
    Rank: D.
    Type: Genjutsu.
    Element: None.
Description: An area-of-effect Genjutsu, the [Name] causes the target to perceive a vicious sandstorm building until the area is enveloped in thick, tan-brown grains of sand, dirt, grass – whatever is nearby. The skill in this technique involves fooling most of the target's senses – the see the sandstorm build and then their vision is almost totally blocked by the storm; they can hear the sound of whipped winds and swirling dirt; and they can feel the grains buffet their body and skin. Like Kirigakure no Jutsu, this hampers the target's vision considerably. Unlike Kirigakure no Jutsu however, it is just an illusion. This technique requires two simple seals but eye contact or touch is not necessary.

Name: Kasumi Juusha no Jutsu [Mist Servant Technique].
    Rank: D.
    Type: Genjutsu.
    Element: None.
Description: Kasumi Juusha no Jutsu is a Genjutsu technique that creates false attackers to delay and confuse the enemy. Though these servants are not real, the actual ninja is able to remain hidden and throw kunai and shuriken matching the movements of the servants. This makes it appear the false servants are capable of attacking. When the enemy attempts to attack the servant, they will merely disrupt the servants illusion body but not destroy it.

Name: Kakezan no Jutsu [Multiplication Skill].
    Rank: D.
    Type: Genjutsu.
    Element: None.
Description: This illusion makes the opponent believe that inanimate objects seem to be multiplying at an incredible rate. This is most commonly applied by masking any number of thrown projectiles with illusory ones. It can frighten or deter an opponent but requires only a simple kunai/shuriken.

Name: Magen • Hibikan [Demon Illusion • Echolocation].
    Rank: D.
    Type: Genjutsu.
    Element: None.
Description: This genjutsu distorts the hearing of a target. By hearing the initial sound from the user, the genjutsu sets in. Any sound that the target hears is multiplied to sound like it is coming from every possible direction, completely rewriting the world of those who rely on sound for detection. This could be foot steps, voices, attacks, anything.

Name: Fujimi no Jutsu [Invulnerability Technique].
    Rank: C.
    Type: Genjutsu.
    Element: None.
Description: After forming the needed handseals, the technique is initiated by looking into the target's eyes. Nothing will appear different until the user is attacked. Whatever wound is caused by the attack, he/she will appear to immediately heal from it, though there is no sign of a Genjutsu (e.g. no black liquid filling in a cut). This will not only demoralize the target, but will keep the user safe from harm. This is because, in reality, the user has simply dodged the attack(s) after initializing the Genjutsu. This effect occurs with every attack (as long as the user can dodge it in reality) until the user dispels the technique, the target dispels the technique, the target is struck by an attack, or - if the user is unfortunate or careless - the user is struck by an attack in reality.

Name: Hanabira Bakuha [Flower Petal Explosion].
    Rank: C.
    Type: Genjutsu.
    Element: None.
Description: Whilst forming the needed hand seals, the user will run at the target. As the seals are completed, he/she will disappear in a shower of pink petals. These will grow in number and swirl around the target. The rest of this technique is no longer an illusion. Amidst the petal confusion, the user reappears in the air above the target and throws up to five kunai with exploding tags attached. The swirling petals move faster to confuse the target just as the tags explode, catching the target in the explosion.

Name: Kori Shinchu no Jutsu [Sly Mind Affect Technique].
    Rank: C.
    Type: Genjutsu.
    Element: None.
Description: This genjutsu slightly distorts the opponent’s sense of direction, moving details just a slight bit. What it does, is that it makes it so that when the opponent tries to walk in a straight line, they begin to walk in a slightly curved line. It is incredibly effective when the opponent is traveling, as the opponent would end up traveling in circles without reaching their destinations. It is also slightly effective in battle, by decreasing the target’s aim. The great advantage over other genjutsu with this technique is that the change in details is minute enough that the target is simply incapable of noticing that anything has changed.

Name: Nemuri no Jutsu [Sedation Technique].
    Rank: C.
    Type: Genjutsu.
    Element: None.
Description: A Genjutsu technique where the ninja makes physical contact with the target and forces them into a deep slumber. A useful technique when subterfuge is involved with a mission, but very difficult to apply in combat.

Name: Youkai Sentou no Jutsu [Phantom Combat Technique].
    Rank: C.
    Type: Genjutsu.
    Element: None.
Description: After making eye contact and concluding the necessary handseals, this jutsu makes the target feel like powerful physical blows are being landed all over their body. While no actual damage is done, the user may twitch uncontrollably in reaction, throwing them off balance and making them feel like they have actually sustained damage.

Name: Purantan no Jutsu [Springtime Technique].
    Rank: B.
    Type: Genjutsu.
    Element: None.
Description: This technique affects the sense of smell to seemingly intoxicate the target. Using an actual explosion or other distraction as a cover, the user causes thousands of illusionary cherry blossoms to float around the area. These blossoms release a pungent smell that clouds the target's senses, blurring their vision, blocking their smell and disrupting their sense of balance. It also makes them feel hot and physically sick, and often causes the target to throw up. This makes it easy for the user to strike and inflict serious damage. The technique is particularly resistant to being dispelled, and takes far longer to dissipate than usual illusions – even when attempted by one adept at Genjutsu.

Name: Niwaka Gisou no Jutsu [Improvised Camouflage Technique].
    Rank: B.
    Type: Genjutsu.
    Element: None.
Description: This technique, initiated by a short string of seals, causes the user to appear near-invisible. The effect is actually made to emanate from the user, rather than target a particular opponent. Thus, it affects anyone in the vicinity. However, it is not total invisibility, more a 'thorough opacity'. To use this technique to become fully invisible, the user must stay still and blend in with scenery.

Name: Ninpou • Oujoumen [Ninja Art • Death Mask].
    Rank: B.
    Type: Genjutsu.
    Element: None.
Description: This genjutsu only works while being attacked by an opponent in any way. The genjutsu uses the last attack and creates an image where the user fails to defend against the attack in time making the attack look like a success, apparently completely killing the user. The whole illusion is made to lure the opponent into a false sense of security for a sneak attack, or to make a hasty retreat if necessary.

Name: Toge no Souseiki [Thorned Genesis].
    Rank: B.
    Type: Genjutsu.
    Element: None.
Description: After performing the needed handseals, the user will throw a rose like object on the ground. The rose's thorns will start to grow tremendously and and try to snatch the opponent. Seeing the rose grow, the opponent will try to escape, but will fail. The thorns grab the opponent and the thorns will continue to bind the opponent till it reaches the opponent's torso. From then on, the opponent will not be able to run away and the target can deal a finishing blow.

Name: Shikijou no Yuuchi [Lustful Allure].
    Rank: B.
    Type: Genjutsu.
    Element: None.
Description: An intoxicating Genjutsu that causes the target to be overcome with desire, lust and absolute love for the user - regardless of gender. Though the target will likely be initially aware that this is an illusion, this fact is promptly forgotten when the only thought that can possibly cross their mind is of their all-consuming desire for the user. This makes combat near-impossible for the target, at least until they can be released from the illusion.

Name: Keiro Annai no Jutsu [Trailblazing Technique].
    Rank: A.
    Type: Genjutsu.
    Element: None.
Description: This complex illusionary technique causes the target to perceive a large mirror materializing before them, which then pulls them through the mirror to a new area. In this place, the target is completely surrounded by more mirrors. Reflected in these will be horrific, twisted visions that are based on people, places and events from the target's memory. The target will feel the inescapable urge to step through one such mirror to escape these horrors. However, doing so only takes them to an identical situation. The illusion is designed to fatigue and mentally scar the target, giving the user time to attack or simply to give them the upper hand. Only highly-experienced shinobi or Genjutsu masters are able to escape this technique.

Name: Kokuangyou no Jutsu [Journey Into Black Darkness Technique].
    Rank: A.
    Type: Genjutsu.
    Element: None.
Description: Kokuangyou no Jutsu is a Genjutsu technique which causes the ninja's opponent to be enveloped in total darkness after making direct eye contact and forming the needed hand seals. While in the black void, the ninja will be unable to see any incoming attack or threat.

Name: Gyakuten no Kiun [Reversal of Fortune].
    Rank: A.
    Type: Genjutsu.
    Element: None.
Description: By making eye contact, this useful technique forces the pain that has been inflicted upon the user to be experienced by the target. The injuries appear rapidly and are completely realistic. The pain itself is in fact slightly amplified from what the user is feeling, and is designed to cripple the target. Enduring such pain and being able to dispel such a well-crafted, high-level Genjutsu is almost impossible. Though it must be stressed that the injuries are, in fact, illusory.

    Name: Utakata [Ephemeral].
    Rank: A.
    Type: Genjutsu.
    Element: None.
Description: The userwill start this technique by using a small, subtle movement - like that of a finger. The target does not have to look into the user's eyes, a glance at the motion itself will be enough. Once inside the illusion, the user can completely control the visions the target sees. This illusion can also be used to play on the fears of the target, causing them to see and hear those who they care about degrade them. Alternatively, it can be used to make everything seem as normal, tricking the user into believing things are or aren't real.

Name: Satoranzu no Jutsu [Entrancing Technique].
    Rank: S.
    Type: Genjutsu.
    Element: None.
Description: An extremely powerful Genjutsu, with this the user is able to attack the target's conscious and sub-conscious mind simultaneously. First, the user will weave an illusion that creates a 'dreamworld' in which they are surrounded by loved ones and objects of bliss. This illusion is extraordinarily hard to dispel, and only a powerful shinobi with experience with Genjutsu has a hope of dispelling it. Whilst this continues, the user is able to temporarily subvert and control the target's subconscious mind and force them to do whatever the user wishes. Of course, the target's conscious mind is entirely unaware of this. However, the control will only last for a maximum of two posts or until the target becomes aware of the effect (by dispelling the initial illusion) and begins to resist control.

    Taijutsu Techniques

    Quote :
    Name: Hibikihi [Echo Evasion].
    Rank: E.
    Type: Taijutsu.
    Element: None.
Description: A simple but useful skill, the user channels a small amount of chakra to whatever body part is currently touching a solid surface (usually to the feet, which are grounded) to lend strength and speed to their next movement. With a powerful and acrobatic leaping motion, they can completely avoid most direct attacks by moving a large distance in an extremely fast movement. This technique leaves an opaque after-image of the user behind for a few moments, hence the name 'Echo'.

Name: Ikimono Rendan • Tori no Tsuin [Animal Combination • Twinned Birds].
    Rank: D.
    Type: Taijutsu.
    Element: None.
Description: A simple taijutsu technique in which the user reverses the striking motion immediately after reaching the apex of the original strike. Simply put, as a punch or kick ends, the user uses the kinetic energy and flicks the fist or foot back at the target with great force. This leaves the target more or less no time to react to the attack.

Name: Ikimono Rendan • Oushi no Haiiro [Ashen Ox].
    Rank: C.
    Type: Taijutsu.
    Element: Katon [Fire].
Description: A powerful technique when used on inorganic matter, it is strangely useless when used on living things. By channelling fire chakra to the edges of a striking appendage, the user can utilize the incredible heat and force generated by the Katon element and drive the strike straight through most wooden, reinforced wood or even some metal objects. The technique, simply put, melts through anything struck. Curiously, this doesn't have the same effect on organic, living things. Instead, this causes painful burns and scarring upon contact.

    Name: Oukashou [Cherry Blossom Collision].
    Rank: C.
    Type: Taijutsu.
    Element: None.
Description: Oukashou is a Taijutsu technique that involves precise chakra control. The user will first build up and compress chakra to their fist. Shortly after, they will release it in an instant. This can be used to deliver supernaturally powerful strikes to physical objects. A person struck by this would be sent soaring several hundred feet away; the ground would rupture and shake violently in the direction the chakra is released when the earth is struck; a tree would shatter and collapse almost immediately - these are just some examples. However, to use this with more than one strike would count as two uses, making it important to land the first strike.

Name: Jinrai no Jutsu [Thunderclap Technique].
    Rank: C.
    Type: Taijutsu.
    Element: Raiton [Lightning].
Description: Channelling Raiton chakra to both hands and containing it until needed, the user engages the target in a short sequence of fist strikes (seemingly 'unenhanced') before bringing their hands together to create a shockwave of Raiton chakra that expands toward the target, painfully electrifying and stunning them.

Name: Kazan Kyaku [Volcanic Sky Leg].
    Rank: B.
    Type: Taijutsu.
    Element: Katon [Fire].
Description: Kazan Kyaku is a Taijutsu technique utilized by the Suna-nin Kasumi. By first channelling a great deal of Katon chakra to her leg and then using her monstrous strength, Kasumi will raise her leg in a high arc, and bring it thundering down. If one of her kicks or strikes were to connect, they would kill a normal ninja. However, not only does the strike cause massive damage to whatever it impacts, but a great explosion of flame (10m diameter in all directions, outward from the user) erupts from the leg as it makes contact, often killing those who managed to avoid the initial strike.

Name: Ikimono Rendan • Tako no Kyuuzou [Animal Combination • Surging Octopus].
    Rank: B.
    Type: Taijutsu.
    Element: Raiton [Lightning].
Description: A versatile technique, the Uezenshin involves the user extending Raiton chakra from their limbs as they strike with them. In doing so, they create a much larger copy of the striking limb, composed of powerful lightning chakra, to burst forth and reach far further (up to five times as far) than the original strike would have, being five times the size the original limb is. Raiton appendages strike with thrice the force of a normal punch or kick, and cause severe shocks to those they touch, often paralysing the area with which they made contact. Once they have made contact however, the Raiton limbs dissipate. The user can create up to three appendages for a B-ranked quantity of chakra.

    Name: Tsuiraku Kawa [Crashing River].
    Rank: A.
    Type: Taijutsu.
    Element: None.
Description: The user dashes in a zig-zag line toward the target, moving so fast they appear as a blur. When the reach the opponent, the user strikes seven times from different directions, aiming for vital points to deal more damage. The seventh strike is simply a chakra-fuelled backhand that crashes into the targets head and sends them flying away.

Name: Ikimono Rendan • Tora Gouzen [Animal Combination • Roaring Tiger] .
    Rank: A.
    Type: Taijutsu.
    Element: None.
Description: The user draws out a great amount of chakra, which can be seen as a growing blue aura surrounding their body. Approaching the target at phenomenal speed, the user lengthens and sharpens the chakra around their arms as they move. Once within ten metres of the target, the user performs a hand strike. The chakra extends to reach the target - now about eight metres away – and four sharp chakra ‘fingers’ pierce through their shoulders and legs, holding them still. The user then channels the remaining chakra into one single-handed slice strike. Wherever it hits, it will break the bone. If aimed at the neck, it will likely kill the target.

Name: Juunseidou no Jutsu [Perfect Motion Technique].
    Rank: C-S.
    Type: Taijutsu.
    Element: None.
Description: A complicated taijutsu ability in both mastery and application, it can only be used by one who is already using the Kata no Gekkou. It involves creating a thin network of chakra that bonds with the user's brain and central nervous system. This state significantly enhances sensory perception, allowing the user to sense nearby objects automatically and without chakra cost. Furthermore, the user's body will react to any unwanted presence and stimulate the correct muscles to perfectly avoid and powerfully retaliate against such dangers. However, it can only instigate movements that are within the human physical capacity of the user and anything not nearby remains out of automatic sensory range. Additionally, this technique enhances the user’s movement, enabling them to move faster and altering the type of movement that the user makes. All of the user’s movements become fluid and seemingly effortless – moving from one attack to another becomes very simple. This is, however, limited by rank.

[C rank]: Can maintain the state for five posts. Sensory range radius is three metres. User moves at twice their regular speed.
[B rank]: Can maintain the state for seven posts. Sensory range radius is five metres. User moves at thrice their regular speed. Movements start to become difficult to focus on, often seeming blurred or just irregular to the opponent.
[A rank]: Can maintain the state for nine posts. Sensory range is seven metres. User moves at four times their regular speed. Movement becomes difficult to focus on, each body part seeming blurred and extremely difficult to react to, such as preparing a block.
[S rank]: Can maintain the state for twelve posts. Sensory range is nine metres. User moves at five times their regular speed. Movement is impossible to focus on, the whole body seeming opaque and blurred to the opponent. The user will leave distracting after-images of themselves as they move, though these are just illusory imprints of their movement. Reacting to any physical attacks from the user is practically impossible.

    Taijutsu Styles

    Quote :
Name: Kata no Gekkou [Moonlight Style].
Emphasis: Fluid, unpredictable movements; lightning-fast reflexes.
Requirements: A great deal of physical anda awareness training is required, particularly with flexibility.
Description: The Kata no Gekkou, a complex style, is somewhat difficult to master and takes much practice. The focus is on utilizing exceptional reflexes and quick, unpredictable movements to undo the target's defences and to maintain the user's own. All of the user’s movements become fluid and seemingly effortless – moving from one attack to another becomes very simple. This enables them to attack, defend, dodge and counter with relative ease. Furthermore, the fluidity of the style causes the user's movements to become seemingly blurred and difficult to focus on, anticipate and react to.

    Natural Jutsu:

    Name: Rikkidouda [Liquid Strike].
    Rank: E.
    Type: Taijutsu.
    Element: None.
Description: The user punches or kicks the target from a particularly unpredictable angle or at an unpredictable time, using fluid motion to make the attack difficult to defend against. Notably, the user is able to stiffen a striking appendage at the last second, so that each strike does not lose any force in being applied in such a 'loose' manner.

Name: Karakuri no Meisatsu [Insightful Dodge].
    Rank: D.
    Type: Taijutsu.
    Element: None.
Description: Using heightened reflexes and a particularly supple body, the user can react quickly to an incoming threat, twisting their body or moving to avoid it. This is designed to take as little effort as possible, so often the movement is relatively small - only just enough to dodge the attack.

Name: Henkan no Tsuki [Moon Return].
    Rank: D.
    Type: Taijutsu.
    Element: None.
Description: Using lightning-fast reflexes and a strong, supple body, the user can use a variety of techniques to rapidly counter a direct physical attack. This can range from a dodge that puts them in a good position to strike - and then striking, or perhaps a block that can develop into a set of return blows. Using superior reflexes amd fluidity of motion, the user can apply the counter at the very last possible moment, catching the attacker by complete surprise.

    Name: Rikkido Rendan [Liquid Barrage].
    Rank: B.
    Type: Taijutsu.
    Element: None.
Description: Similar to the [Name of previous], the Kata no Gekkou user will unleash this time a series of powerful and unpredictable strikes, blocking or dodging any incoming blows or counter attempts simultaneosly. These take full advantage of the user's flexibility and enhanced motion, linking attacks perfectly and shoring up holes in the defense simultaneously. Blocking or dodging these attacks is particularly difficult, and fighting back even more so. Notably, the user is able to stiffen a striking appendage at the last second, so that each strike does not lose any force in being applied in such a 'loose' manner. Indeed, the strikes are in fact even more powerful than the average, as the motion of stiffening a loose limb at the last second coverts more natural kinetic energy into the strike.

History: In the relatively early years of the shinobi world, when the great villages were still establishing themselves, a small group of 'unattached' practioners of the shinobi way began work on a particularly effective form of combat. The group were of Tsuki ni Kuni [Moon Country], and named their unusual but deadly style after their country's namesake. Many of that group remained in the country, never leaving to pursue an official shinobi career and choosing to stay with their homeland instead.

This meant that future generations of aspiring shinobi from Tsuki no Kuni were often taught this style from a young age, in the hope that they might carry the honorable name to other countries that they visited. Quite amazingly, this practice is still being continued to this day, although the style itself has evolved to become even more potent - and as such, more difficult to master. Regardless, it is rare to see this style actually employed in combat, as many of those who wish to leave Tsuki no Kuni never actually do so. The Kata no Gekkou remains somewhat unknown in the wider shinobi world, despite the tutors of Moon Country doing their best to 'spread the glory', as it were.

    Personal Weaponry

    Quote :
Name: Tanto no Kasumi [Kasumi's Tanto]
    Quantity: 2.
    Rank: D.
    Appearance:
    Spoiler:
Each blade, finely crafted from the strongest yet lightest steel, is eight inches long, muted silver in colour and straight as a die. Carved into the base of the metal is a pattern that distinguishes the blade (amongst any other) as belonging to Kasumi Satake. The hilt is about five inches long and has been tightly bound with a pale blue fabric designed to provide excellent grip. A half-inch section of metal bridges the gap between blade and hilt, so that the wielder's grasp will never overlap onto the sharp edge.
Special Abilities/Characteristics: The most unusual thing about Kasumi's personal tanto is the intricate seal carved into the hilt. With the correct motion from its owner (Kasumi), the blade will return to her grasp from anywhere (provided it is within 200 metres of her location). This costs no chakra (explained below), but cannot be used more than once every ten minutes (three posts).
Origin: Originally a single tanto made for Kasumi by the renowned blacksmiths of Sunagakure no Sato, she requested the unique modification after losing the tanto in sparring match with a Bo staff-wielding shinobi. Once disarmed, she no longer had a weapon that could break the staff, which was being moved too quickly for her to land a fist strike on it. Taking the blade with her for a brief excursion outside of Sunagakure, she sought a Fuuin specialist capable of affixing the seal to her blade. In Amegakure no Sato, she found such a man and paid for his sealing services. After teaching Kasumi the necessary motion to activate the seal, he explained that the seal was designed to be self-sustaining. In that, provided she didn't use the returning function more than once every ten minutes, the ability would never cost her any chakra, as the seal had stored a sufficient amount within the tanto itself.

    Name: Beruken [Veiled Blade]
    Quantity: 2.
    Rank: D.
    Appearance:
    Spoiler:
Beneath each of the sleek black gloves that cover Kasumi's forearms lies a small mechanism for the release of a hidden blade. From looking at the gloves, no one could possibly tell that both mechanism and blade were secreted underneath. The blade itself is about eleven inches long, but extends from the wrist, allowing it to reach four inches past the fingertips. A dulled silver colour, it harbours a wicked sharp tip and edges. The mechanism is small and complicated – not of Kasumi's own design, and is coloured in a darker, burnished steel.
Special Abilities/Characteristics: An ingenious design, the weapon is unnoticeable until it extends from the wielder's wrist and is intended to turn a simple fist strike into a deadly attack. With a flick of the ring finger to activate the release latch, the user can cause the blade to extend four inches beyond their fingertips, its razor-sharp tip and edges penetrating even the toughest flesh.
Origin: Kasumi's previous mentor, now deceased, gave her the first of two identical Veiled Blades as a gift upon her promotion to the rank of Chuunin, when she was seventeen. He saw this as the start of an illustrious career, and wanted to give something particularly useful as well as valuable. Shortly after however, he died while defending the village. Though he did not have a great number of worldly possessions, he did happen to have a second Veiled Blade. His will dictated this went to Kasumi too, and she now bears them in memory of her departed friend and mentor.

Name: Kurokongousen Uwagi [Carbon Fibre Jerkin]
    Quantity: 1.
    Rank: D.
Appearance: A lightweight, tight-fitting undershirt that Kasumi wears when on duty. The base material is carbon ore, an ash black metal that is extremely resilient to damage. The cloth is fitted akin to a thermal undershirt, and surprisingly comfortable, despite the carbon fibre woven into the fabric. The ash-black colour is universal across the garment, with no markings present anywhere.
Special Abilities/Characteristics: Engineered into a fibrous substance, carbon fibre is little heavier than a regular item of clothing, but offers considerable protection to the torso and upper arms of the wearer. Regular stabs and slashes are foiled by this remarkable material.
Origin: Understanding that this was not the type of item any old blacksmith of reasonable ability could create for her, Kasumi took her idea to the best she knew of in Sunagakure no Sato. The metal she herself provided and refused to reveal where she had acquired such a material. For a nominal fee, the man took a whole week to create the substance. Taking the material with her, Kasumi then visited the armory, whom she paid to fashion it into a tight-fitting undershirt.

    Personal Items

    Quote :
Name: Jouzai no Tora [Tiger's Pill]
    Rank: C.
    Quantity: 3.
    Type: Enhancer.
Natural Abilities: The Jouzai no Tora was developed particularly for accomplished taijutsu users. Upon ingestion, it stimulates the body with a burst of chakra previously contained within the pill. The chakra isn't drawn from the user, but rather from the pill. For up to twenty minutes afterwards (six - seven posts) any strength enhancing techniques will require a little less chakra to achieve the same effect, as the muscles have been naturally stimulated to contribute to the effect. For this period, for example, Oukashou [Cherry Blossom Collision], would require only a D-ranked amount of chakra.

    Name: Igedokuzai [Antitoxin Pills]
    Rank: C.
    Quantity: 10.
    Type: Medicinal.
Natural Abilities: A number of tiny, beige coloured pills. These act as temporary toxin suppressants. Though unable to eradicate poisons from the user's body entirely, they work to halt the beginning of the effects by three posts and to reduce the potency of the effects when they eventually take a hold. Up to two can be taken on a daily basis, more than that causes headaches and nausea that increases in potency with each extra pill. This can be worthwhile if the poison they are combatting has far more dire effects, however.
Origin: Created by Sunagakure no Sato's elite toxin-specialist branch of medical-nin, these pills were given to Kasumi upon request. A dangerous item to take to many of, they aren't always a shinobi's first choice in antitoxin equipment. However, favouring reaction as opposed to preparation, Kasumi took a liking to their effects and ordered a large supply.

Satake, Kasumi [Suna Jounin] Vide
PostSubject: Re: Satake, Kasumi [Suna Jounin] Satake, Kasumi [Suna Jounin] EmptyWed 10 Mar 2010, 3:43 am

Personal Summons:

Tanuki = Raccoon-Dog.

Name: Tanuki Pack [Ichiro, Jiro, Saburo, Shiro, Goro, Rokuro, Schichiro, Hachiro].
Physical Description:
Satake, Kasumi [Suna Jounin] Tanuki_san_Tanuki_san_by_Kurokiba
Summon Requirements: As with most summons, the Tanuki pack require a small blood donation upon using the Kuchiyose no Jutsu technique to summon them. They will only serve those who have attained a relatively high-rank amongst shinobi, usually Jounin and above. Of course, they 'belong' to Kasumi, and will serve no other without her requesting so. They can be summoned individually or all at once.
Species: Tanuki.
Rank: A.
Story: The youngsters of the Tanuki family are often found together in a pack. This is perhaps because of their similar ages, all eight of them born within the space of two years. They were named in numerical order, “Ichiro” being the “first son”, this continuing until “Hachiro”, meaning “eighth son”. Isamu, the father of the family, and his wife Chieko, have cared for them for the best part of seven years. Each member of the pack is now old enough to contribute to the family-owned summon contract. Unlike their parents, however, the eight male youngsters find being amongst the humans rather enjoyable, and tend to fool about when given the chance.
Special Characteristics: Their physical abilties exceed that of the average human of equal rank, making them each slightly stronger, slightly faster, slightly more flexible and with a little more stamina..
Elemental Affinity: Doton [Earth].
Clan: None.

Tanuki Pack Jutsu:

Name: Kasumi Juusha no Jutsu [Mist Servant Technique].
Rank: D.
Type: Genjutsu.
Element: None.
Description: Only Saburo, Shiro, Schichiro and Hachiro of the Tanuki pack are able to use this technique. Kasumi Juusha no Jutsu is a Genjutsu technique that creates false attackers to delay and confuse the enemy. Though these servants are not real, the actual ninja is able to remain hidden and throw kunai and shuriken matching the movements of the servants. This makes it appear the false servants are capable of attacking. When the enemy attempts to attack the servant, they will merely disrupt the servants illusion body but not destroy it.

Name: Chou-oe no Ha [Butterfly On The Leaves]
Rank: D.
Type: Taijutsu.
Element: None.
Description: All members of the Tanuki pack are able to use this technique. The user leaves themselves open for attack, but as soon as an attack is made they flip acrobatically over the target, delivering a spinning heel kick to the back of the target’s neck.

Name: Doton • Moguragakure no Jutsu [Earth Release • Mole Hiding Technique]
Rank: C.
Type: Ninjutsu.
Element: Doton [Earth].
Description: All members of the Tanuki pack are able to use this technique. Doton • Moguragakure no Jutsu is a Ninjutsu technique utilizing the Earth Element. This technique allows the ninja to burrow into the ground and hide out of sight. This allows them to avoid attack or travel underground.

Name: Oukashou [Cherry Blossom Collision]
Rank: C.
Type: Taijutsu.
Element: None.
Description: Each member of the Tanuki pack is able to use this technique. Oukashou is a Taijutsu technique that involves precise chakra control.

Name: Tsuiraku Kawa [Crashing River]
Rank: B.
Type: Taijutsu.
Element: None.
Description: Only Ichiro, Jiro and Saburo of the Tanuki pack are able to use this technique. The user dashes in a zig-zag line toward the target, moving so fast they appear as a blur. When the reach the opponent, the user strikes five times from different directions. The fifth strike is simply a chakra-fuelled backhand that hits the targets head and knocks them away.

Name: Suiken [Drunken Fist]
Rank: B.
Type: Taijutsu.
Element: None.
Description: Only Ichiro, Jiro, Goro and Rokuro of the Tanuki pack are able to use this technique. Suiken is based very much in deception and unpredictability, luring the opponent into a false sense of security, while taking advantage of the properties of alcohol to deaden the body’s nerve endings and provide a natural fluidity of motion. This unusual style of combat can't be learned or taught. It only occurs naturally, and requires the user to be drunk. Needless to say, in their inebriated state, they cannot control their strength and the strikes are far stronger [two times stronger] than a controlled attack by a sober individual. It takes between five and nine posts for one of the brothers to sober up.

Name: Doton • Doryuu Heki [Earth Release • Earth Style Wall]
Rank: B.
Type: Ninjutsu.
Element: Doton [Earth].
Description: Only Saburo, Shiro, Goro and Rokuro of the Tanuki pack are able to use this technique. Doton • Doryuu Heki is a defensive Ninjutsu technique utilizing the Earth Element. The ninja will do the necessary hand seals and then spew a line of mud onto the ground. The mud will then grow into a large solid earthen wall to defend against incoming attacks.

Name: Doton Kekkai • Dorou Doumu [Earth Barrier • Earth Dome Prison]
Rank: B.
Type: Ninjutsu.
Element: Doton [Earth].
Description: Only Ichiro, Jiro, Schichiro and Hachiro of the Tanuki pack are able to use this technique. Doton Kekkai • Dorou Doumu is a Ninjutsu technique utilizing the Earth Element. After striking the ground with his hands, a ninja is able to overturn the earth and cause it to rise up around his opponents. Placing his/her hands against the dome he/she is able to suck out the chakra from the people trapped inside and bring it into his own body. At the same time the user will use his own chakra to spread throughout the dome, this allows him to repair any damage his opponents manage to inflict on the inside. The chakra is not evenly spread out though, as the chakra flows away from the user, it becomes more and more weak allowing the dome to be broken on the far side if hit by a hard enough force. However, because four of the eight Tanuki pack members are able to do this, they are able to use the same technique together and place themselves at the ‘compass points’ of the dome to create an near impenetrable prison.

Name: Hakushuku Ojoushi no Jutsu [Brothers In Arms Technique]
Rank: A.
Type: Ninjutsu.
Element: None.
Description: All members of the Tanuki pack are able to use this technique. It allows each Tanuki to switch places with one of their siblings at will. This is extremely useful for scouting and relaying information, but also has applications in combat. For example, if one pack member is under attack, another can prepare a counter and then switch places immediately, unleashing the counter to the unprepared opponent. A few small wisps of beige and brown mist materializes with a Tanuki moving in this manner.

Personal Pets:

Name: Rinji.
Nickname: Rin.
Age: 3.
Species: Cat.
Appearance:
Satake, Kasumi [Suna Jounin] Copycat
Rinji is an unusually small cat. Despite now being an adult cat (three 'human' years of age), he is still no larger than an adolescent - little bigger than a kitten. However, this does have its advantages. He is able to enter smaller spaces than more sizeable felines and can travel perched on Kasumi's shoulders. His fur is glossy, creamy white with sooty black paws, nose, ears and tail tip. He commonly wears a red cloth around his breast and an ash-black necktie. These are of his own choosing, wanting to feel like he belongs in the shinobi world.
Personality: Cats are often somewhat conceited, and Rinji is no different. Wise, cunning and self-serving, he dislikes doing things for others if it comes at cost for himself. The only exception to this rule is his owner, Kasumi, to whom he is totally loyal. With her, he is particularly loving and playful. However, his self-concerned nature doesn't prevent him from being friendly with others, just reluctant to help. Most cats aren't always given due credit for their intelligence, but it is difficult to overlook Rinji's, as he is perfectly capable of speaking in human tongues and conversing with others. Furthermore, he is able to see, hear and smell for greater distances and with more accuracy than any human. Being able to vocalise what he senses this way can sometimes come in handy.
Background: The illegitimate offspring of a male feline summon (belonging to another ninja) and the female cat that belonged to Kasumi's family, Rinji was the only surviving member of the litter she gave birth to. His parentage explains the unusual ability to talk, being a hereditary ability from his father (the cat summon). At first, he stayed with Kasumi's family in Getsugakure no Sato, but grew to enjoy the kunoichi's company during her second visit. She was happy to indulge his hidden playful nature and was the first to discover he could talk. A year old to Kasumi's twenty years, the two were both still young and made ideal companions. Mizuki and Rokuro were happy to let him go with their daughter when she returned to Sunagakure no Sato. Ever since, he has been a good company and a faithful friend - in particular, helping Kasumi deal with becoming overwhelmed by her synaesthesia on occasion.

Looking this over quickly, the two things Im currently unsure of are your elemental affinities (having 3), and your Tanto, as you do not posses the Weaponry specialization.

Those however I will bring up with Hugh and ask about (3 elemental affinities needs admin call anyways, but I doubt there will be a problem).

Other than that, I will go over the jutsu when I get back home.

The affinities was a typo on my part. In drafting up the app I wasn't sure which to choose, and forgot to erase Doton, which I scrapped. Fixed it now though, just two affinities.

As for the tanto... Do you have to have the weaponry specialization just to wield a blade? I made sure it wasn't endowed with anything particularly powerful, so it could be pretty simplistic to use (thus not requiring specialization). That said, if I have to lose it, I don't mind.

Due to the weaponry guide Hugh finally posted, at your current rank you can only have D-Ranked weapons. However, I think that the Tanto can be D-Rank since they only can transport themselves back to you, and once every 3 posts. Same with your veiled blades.

- Not quite sure on the age issue here, 14 – 24? is this KKG related somehow?

Quote :
Name: Kata no Gekkou [Moonlight Style]
Type: Taijutsu Style.
Rank: C.
Element: None.
This will need to be put in the site martial style template. That can be found in the jutsu creation area on the site.

- Seeing as your a A-ranked Jounin, your summon would need to be the same. Please edit zee rank. ^^

Haha, yet another thing that I forgot to change when moving the draft app from Word to this site. She's 22, and I've fixed that.

Fixed the style, fixed the summon.

As far as I remember, someone of your rank needs to be fully approved by either John or Hugh, for Suna.

I see no problems with this application, so I give my approval.

Added a simple personal pet (underneath 'Personal Summons'), but I've made certain he's unassuming and without anything with which there could be a problem.

Any Sunagakure staff (as Caranore mentioned) happy to give this the final OK?
