SC upgrading

When upgrading to a higher rank SC, the lower ranked ones in which you build up like chakra capacity for example, the lower one does not count against the limit does it?

The lower versions are replaced by the upgraded versions. So, if you have Increased Chakra Capacity (C-Rank) and then train for Large Chakra Capacity (B-Rank), the B-ranked version would take up the slot originally taken by C-Ranked version. In other words, the upgraded version will not take an additional slot, only replacing the older version.
