This depends on the content of your soup. If there are a lot of noodles, meats, veggies, and the like: you are naturally EATING the soup. But if it is plain tomato, or wonton, or just chicken broth, than you are drinking it. In the end though, you'll probably end up drinking the last bit of soup regardless of what's in it, though this is not always the case. You do not drink cereal after all; why would you be drinking soup?
