Ive been a long time surporter of Youtube's famous DeStorm, well known for his weekly challenges that are entered by his subsriber where he will have to make a rap sign with in the guidelines sent by the challenge including: 100 movie titles, alphabetical order, using a beat made via stuff you'd find in a laundry room, and the list goes on. Recently he has been getting more popular and getting a bigger name for himself, directing his attention to more serious music with professional level videos to go with. Recently he unveiled a competition for us all, where he recorded a song with 16 bars missing lyrics, aka the second verse, in reverse of the past, challenging us to record over this blank spot in the song for a chance to fly to Cali to meet and work with him. I have been rapping for fun mostly for a while now, but have always wanted to get to a level where I could share it and let others enjoy it too, and Ive been slowly getting to that point as time goes on. DeStorm and a fellow rapper, Eppic, were the big inspirations for me to pick up the mic and begin my work so this contest means a lot to me, even if I dont win it.
