It was a glorious day in the Fire Country; the sun warming up the land with its wonderful rays, and an endless blue sky overhead. Not a single cloud was around to ruin the day. Kimiko was wandering down the main road that wound through the Fire Country having left Konoha earlier that morning for a training exercise. She had sprinted from her house to the village gates, jogged from the village gates into the Fire Country, and now she was walking off her fatigue. She walked with a hand pressed into her side to banish the stitch that had settled there, and she picked up her feet in an exaggerated manner in order to stretch out her legs where they were beginning to tire and ache. So far, her day had been productive, and she felt happy knowing that.
She was wearing a skin-tight breathable green tank top, over which was a loose airy white shirt with a large number three on the front, short dark blue running shorts with white stripes down the sides of her thighs, and comfortable old blue running trainers. Her bare legs were splattered with mud where she had misjudged a patch of sodden ground from the previous nights' rain, and her arms were scratched slightly from her battle with the thorn bush that she tripped into on the way here. Her jet black hair had been tied partially off her face, but she had taken out the hair band keeping it in place. It now fell around her face; jagged and messy from her run. Despite being rather tired, Kimiko felt fresh and bright. As everyone knew, exercise released endorphins, the body's natural happy 'drug'.
She stretched her arms above her head with a satisfied sigh and smile, walking with her hands clasped together behind her head. What else was there in store for the rest of the day?

Masamunes sight was focused on the ground, the unusual black cloak he was wearing covered his whole body and as it's hood was pulled deep down into the childs head someone might be suspicious of what he was doing outside of the village during this hour. Masamune didn't wore his forehead protection or even the headband, he had left it home knowing he wouldn't be back for a while. Earlier this week he had requested a break from work and was now leaving Konoha for a short... mind collection. He hoped he wasn't missing anything crucial during his absence, but surely Konoha would just stay like always, peaceful. Of course, it seemed like that, always, but Masamune knew better. You just had to go to the darker parts of the Village and you could find murder and theft like everywhere else, but the higher ups didn't cared. It would be easy bringing that part up to the higher stands, if just enough money would be used, but stocking up the arsenal seemed more important. Of course those 'guys' in the lower districts shouldn't do what they were doing, but they had a reason for doing it: bad education, money problems, job problems and more, but instead of helping the already poor and run down people, Konoha decides to make life for the good people better and of course make it safer for all, as they were calling it. War hadn't happen for years and if no one would break the piece ruling the land there would be no problem whatsoever, there was no reason in further developing war manufactures. Providing for war would only cause war.... NO!
Masamune shaked his head, he was doing it again. Thinking about such stuff caused his head to hurt and anger to boil up inside of him. For now he had to decide what to do with his future life and what he wanted for himself. He already learned the art of killing, this was not a thing he could ever forget again, the only question now was: How to use it? He definitly wanted to change something, he just didn't knew how. How would he be able to make people realise killing was wrong? No matter what one may have done? He had spend some time in the temples now and found the Buddhist religion quite fascinating. He may not understood everything they were telling and didn't support all their ways, but he definitly symphaticed with it. As he was aqain caught in thaughts he noticed another persons presence and his eyes shot up, in front of him was the young Kimiko, a young girl he had meet some weeks ago and went on a mission with. She was a nice girl, but no one he wished to have contact with right now, he wanted to be alone...

Kimiko heard footsteps behind her, and being her curious self, she just had to see who they belonged to. She turned round slightly, looking back over her shoulder and spotting a cloaked figure. Since that was the only person around, it must be him whose footfalls had grabbed her attention. Upon closer inspection, she realised that she recognised the figure. It was... oh goodness, it really was...
"Masa-kun?" She said aloud, stopping in her tracks and looking at the supposed stranger closely. It was Masamune, somebody she had gone on a mission with not very long ago. He looked so different, distant and alone today. It upset her slightly to see him like that, and she stayed in the middle of the pathway; completely still and shocked to the core. "Is that really you?..." She whispered to herself, still not quite believing her own eyes. Due to her being completely immobilised, he had walked past her by now. She snapped out of her stupor and caught up to him, walking on his right side and looking at him intensely with a worried stare. "Masa-kun... what happened to you?" She asked sadly.
"Please, tell me what's the matter. Maybe I can help. I'll try my very hardest, that's for sure." She pleaded with the distraught male, refusing to leave him alone now. She was persistent like that, and when she saw a friend in this state she couldn't simply just walk away. Especially not since Masamune was heading AWAY from the village; it scared her slightly...

Masamuney eyes which were surrounded by dark circle looked at Kimikos face, she obviously was worried about him, which got clear through her words, the way she acted and her body motions. Her facial expression made her readable like a book as well and as she started to follow him, Masamune started to feel uncomfortable. The higher ups knew he was taking a break from work, but not that he was leaving the village. He had sneaked out with the excuse that he would travel to his mothers grave which was quite far away from Konoha, he had hoper to get at least two weeks where he could be alone and without causing any suspicion, but now that Kimiko had spotted him he had to talk himself out of this and somehow... make her stay silent about this or..... Telling her he was heading towards Suna Gakure was a obvious and blunt lie. Suna was in the other direction he was currently walking towards and all which lay ahead of them were the Mountain Graveyard, which was were he was heading to. As the young girl wouldn't stop to ask him questions he answered: " Kimiko.... Everything is.... it's all fine, don't worry. I am just... leaving Konoha for a short bit, it's nothing you have to worry about. I will be back in a while...." At the end he was about to say 'maybe', but he manage to keep the word a silent whisper. "If you don't mind... could you do me a little favour? Don't tell Kana or Saitou anything about this, they would only worry and Saitou would just act without thinking again." Masamune was sure the girl knew Saitou and right now she wasn't suspicious, at least he hoped so, it seemed like that at least, but if Saitou or Kana would hear anything about this it was out of question they would come after him. In the worst case they would even talk to a superior about this, althrough Kana already was a higher ranked Shinobi, if this got out of hand Masamune would be in trouble. So after he said those words he forced a smile out, which definitly didn't looked like Masamune and as a gust of wind blew by and his hood was blown away Kimiko would get a good glimps at Masamunes face. The boy was pale, his lips were covered in little wounds, from where his tooths had pierced the flesh, they looked dry as well and had lost their usual color. His eyes were surrounded by black circles and the color had seemed to fade out of his eyes. The usual so careful combed hair was a mess and looked as if he didn't had looked after it for weeks, it was standing up here and there and even through he had senbons in his hair for a while now and that caused it to look messy, it didn't resembled him in any way. The boy looked ill and rundown... no wonder, he had spent the time he hadn't been on missions all alone in his room or in the library... ___________________________________________________________________________ Short one as well, didn't knew how to stretch it and didn't want it to look forced...

Kimiko knew that something was wrong as soon as Masamune opened his mouth to speak to her. He called her Kimiko, when she had specifically told him and Kana on their mission that she preferred to be called Kimi. He wasn't thinking straight, and that much was obvious. He seemed to be hiding something, and it didn't take a genius to realise it. Kimiko was, however, an expert at understanding a person's body language and facial expressions, as well as their vocal changes. Being around people so much made her very in tune to other peoples' emotions, and now was no exception. She pretended to go along with it for the time being, nodding her head and appearing to be led like a lost little sheep. "Okay, Masa-kun. You had me worried." She smiled, appearing to be quite relieved, when her brain was still in deep unrest.
His next request made Kimiko suspicious all over again. Not tell Kana and Saitou? She never would have dreamed to tell either of them; mainly because it would never cross her mind to do so. Telling people details about her friends wasn't how she worked. She felt curious as to how Masamune knew Saitou, but didn't question it. People were allowed to have the same friends as her, of course they were. It was silly for her to think otherwise. Even so... asking for such a strange request really worried her. Alarm bells were ringing inside her head so loud that she couldn't think straight.
And then the icing on the cake, so to speak... Masamune's hood blew off his head and all her worries, concerns and suspicions seemed to become even worse. He looked like death, and that was no exaggeration.
"You've gone on with this charade long enough, Masa-kun." She said gravely, sweeping an arm out to her side forcefully and her chocolate eyes suddenly solidifying in a hard stare. Not only was she worried, she was angry now for him lying to her blatantly and expecting her to believe it. "Why are you leaving the village? And why can't I tell my friends about it? Huh? That just makes me feel as if there's something drastically wrong that you're not telling me." She sighed gently, moving around and standing in front of her friend, blocking his path forwards. She held her arms out to the sides, and she refused to budge.
"If you want to carry on going, you have to get past me or tell me the straight, honest truth. I thought that you could trust me..." She finished her sentence quietly, disappointment showing on her face as a frown tugged at the corners of her mouth.

*(OOC: This has yet to be writen so just assume you know what i mean and #remember# about how masamune had a little breakdown during his mission with you and kana, why i have yet to find out...)
Masamune sighed, this did not go as planned. His eyes swiftly travelled over Kimiko and her surrounding, she was blocking his way and no matter what he would do now, it would turn out bad in the end. He could either explain her everything, but that would increase her worries even more and she would want to take him to a psychiatrist or something, or he could just pass her, but than again he didn't want to hurt her, not to mention he didn't even considered raising his hand against her a option. She might interpret it as a act of leaving the village, he could tell her a lie as well, but Kimiko wasn't stupid, in the end Masamune still had to face trouble no matter what he would do, so at least he could keep the damage down as much as possible. He pulled up the hood again and looked at Kimiko, tilting his head and trying to smile, which only he only faintly managed to do: "My my... Kimiko~chan, you act harsh today, common it is just me, you don't have to stop me or anything. I don't plan on leaving the village or anything, it's just.... you knew what happened on our last mission* and it's not like that was the first time for me, I just need some... time for myself and have to clear my head. These past weeks weren't easy for me and I really don't want to bother you now or anything. Go ahead, ask my Teamleader, he knows that I am currently taking a break from work."
After making another 'excuse' Masamune started to move again, trying to walk past Kimiko, but below the cloak his hands reached into the back of his belt. He surely didn't wanted to do anything like this, but if Kimiko forced him, he would have to use his smokebombs in order to get away from her. Masamune felt really bad as he was planning how to get rid of his former teammate and a friend as well, why couldn't she just understand that he needed to be alone now? The problems he currently had were far bigger and didn't just concerned the fact that he disliked killing or anything, this was something around his whole future, which, depending on whatever he choose to do, would not only influence him, but far more than just a single person. Masamune surely wasn't confident enough to expect himself to start a whole revolution, he didn't even expect himself to manage anything on his own, but he surely was sure that something had to happen and someone had to act and if it was just a weak little kid like him. At that very moment a faint smile, this time a honoust, appeared on the kids face and silently he whispered: "You don't know until you try....." Like that he stared into Kimikos' eyes, strong and sure to get past the girl, he wouldn't stop here....
