| [Travelin' son. Str8 up 2 Ta No Kuni.]
Kanji walked out of the village with a refreshing smile on his face; the village finally let him leave and go out on his long awaited mission. Kanji had made sure to leave the village early in order to avoid running into anyone he knew. Mostly Sanjiro or Tenma since they would probably scold him for trying to go on a mission after just getting out of a fight. Albeit he wasn't harmed it still wouldn't be good to constantly move with no break, once Kanji hit jounin he was probably going to take a small break. It wasn't good to constantly work your body but then again; Kanji hadn't been doing much recently so this would be good for him. Walking along the bridge leading out of Kumogakure, Kanji couldn't help but remember his meeting with Sasaki. That man wasn't one to be trifled with and he was definitely too strong for Kanji as he is now. Finally crossing the bridge, Kanji waved goodbye to the guards before finally starting on his path towards Ta No Kuni. He had gained this mission through a strange man in a pub, rather unconventional way for a shinobi to gain a mission. He was drunk but he also seemed to be down in the dumps until Kanji began to talk to him. "Why was I at that pub again?" Kanji asked himself as he walked down the path, it was rather strange for him to go into a pub without a purpose from a mission. Kanji took a winding path down the mountain as the area below him began to open up towards the snowy plains. These plains were not often seen by most Kumogakure ninja however for Kanji they seemed to be a refreshing change. From these snowy plains they would connect to the land of hot water, a rocky terrain similar to Kumogakures. From then he would travel towards Ta no Kuni. A simple four day travel if Kanji had ran at full speed. He would need to rest in between sprints however he could easily get there, it might be a bad idea to waste energy though. Contemplating how to get to the land of rice faster Kanji finally remembered why he was in the pub. The bar owner asked him to stay there that night because they would get rowdy every Friday night but that night was special. A new sake had been imported and they would be more drunk than usual.
The man had sat at the bar slumped over drinking lazily from his cup. He obviously wasn't in the partying mood when Kanji stumbled upon him. Chatting the man up he gave him some name, something Kanji had lost with the wind. However the man told him he needed his help, he had a friend with a company that would need crossing countries. He had taken a liking to the chuunin and offered him the job, the pay was that of a B-rank and it would easily give Kanji much needed experience. Gladly accepting the job, the man had laughed. Almost crazily, Kanji had became worried but then dismissed it as him being a drunken fool. Perhaps he was just trying to be nice or he was just having too much of a good time. But either way Kanji ignored something that would normally put him off. However Kanji ignored it and gotten details from the drunken individual, they were fairly simple. Go to the rice country, meet the salesman standing outside of the ramen shop, take him to bear country. Now considering that statement about a salesman in front of a ramen shop was rather vague; Kanji doubted there would be anyone else outside of a ramen shop. Now outside of the land of lightning, Kanji felt the chill of the snow as he began to trek across the snow country. Leaving the lightning country wasn't too difficult considering Kanji just used muscle memory to get through it. However the snow country would provide a challenge since he would need to constantly check it and make sure he didn't get lost. Smiling to himself, Kanji pulled out the map and continued his journey. |
