No Jumping Into The Volcano! Vide
PostSubject: No Jumping Into The Volcano! No Jumping Into The Volcano! EmptyThu 07 Jun 2012, 8:03 am

Just head right up the path here and you'll get to the top of the mountain. It's like a five minute walk..."

Tenma squinted his eyes as he looked up the dirt path. The morning sun was bright and hot on his back as he made his way up the eastern face of Kyousei Mountain. His legs cried out in burning pain as he continued to hop up the mountainside. The steep path was murder on his thighs. He was incapable of anything beyond steady hiking on this kind of path. His breath came out in raspy puffs. He turned his gaze back down the steep path. He shot mental daggers down the hill, but lost his aim when the sun got in his eyes.

"Take the eastern face, he said...it's fastest, he said...only a five minute walk, he said," Tenma muttered to himself. It had been twenty minutes already.

The crimson genin mumbled angrily to himself as he climbed to pass the time. He couldn't pick whether the guard was some kind of nut for thinking this was the best route or that he was playing some kind of mean-spirited prank on the poor genin. The thought was left unfinished as the land opened up before Tenma. The first sign was the receding trees revealing more blue sky. The intimidating appearance of barbed-wired chain link fence peaked up over the horizon. This brought Tenma's spirits up as he quickened his pace to see the rest of it. He jogged up to the chain link fence. He gripped the metal wiring in his hands. He could feel that they were surprising warm against his fingers. Roughly thirty meters ahead of him was a large pit that sank down. He couldn't see within the smoldering hole, but a soft plume of black smoke rose from within. The ash went straight up into the atmosphere disappearing amongst the clouds. A dim orange light could be along the walls of the maw. Tenma got his fill before pulling his eyes off of the natural wonder.

He looked around seeing that no visitors had ascended the mountain yet. It was fairly early in the morning though that hadn't stopped several groups and individuals Tenma spotted at the bottom of the mountain. Perhaps the guard wasn't full of troll and Tenma had beat the morning rush. His assignment was to just keep people from going beyond the fencing. They told him he'd be surprised about how many people would want to go to rim of the volcano. Some people might get irritated with him because of the long hike up, but he thought it was silly that a place where you had to check into to climb would just let you walk up to the edge without any sort of regulation.

Tenma leaned back against the fence. A sigh escaped his lips as he gazed off above the treeline. The morning light caused a glint on his glasses. It would be an easy day more than likely. The heat might get a bit taxing up here, but maybe a good breeze would blow through. His cargo pants were already stripped down to shorts exposing his calves to the open air. His arms were also exposed in his short sleeve top. Some people might try to start something, but he doubted anything bad would come out of it. He had a backpack on his back holding a large lunch he made the previous night. He had planned ahead knowing that it would be a long day and he might need something to eat. A swift wind threw his almost medium length crimson hair to the side. He swept his bangs out of his face with a smile.

Though there was a missing variable in this whole thing. Due to his sensei's sudden business their team was left up in the air for the time being. It had been almost a week without any sort of team activity. Satoshi was unreachable at the moment. Perhaps he was busy doing things for his family. Kanji was equaling unreachable, but Tenma caught stories of what he had been up to. In the short time they were apart he had managed to go around and spend time with several individuals in the village. He was excited to see Kanji and hear what he's been doing in this time. Maybe show off one or two of his new jutsu Tenma worked on. The problem with that was that Kanji wasn't here yet.

Tenma shielded his eyes as he scanned the rim of the mountaintop. Surely Kanji and himself wouldn't be assigned to different areas. He couldn't see anyone with a figure that matched his teammate. On the contrary he could only see a few other individuals on the entire mountain and they appeared to be in traditional guard colors. It appeared that Kanji was running late. Tenma slumped his back as he let gravity drop him back onto the chain link fence. A small smile spread on his lips. He couldn't say he was surprised, but it was something he liked about Kanji.

"I'm sure he'll be here any minute," Tenma assured himself, "Though I could have sworn Kanji was more of a morning and day person over working through the wee hours of the night~" A small giggle erupted from within him as he recalled their various night details where Kanji had either napped on the job and woke up with a start or walked like a half dead zombie when they were patrolling. Kanji was definitely not a night person.

PostSubject: Re: No Jumping Into The Volcano! No Jumping Into The Volcano! EmptyThu 07 Jun 2012, 8:41 am

Kanji felt the blood rush through out his body as he slipped his headband on his forehead. He was already running late but it was a habit to wear his mission gear even if it was a simple one. Running from his bed room he zoomed through the dining room towards the kitchen. The house was lovely, however everything was a blur to him. He grabbed the box on the kitchen counter as he zoomed through the front door.

He lived on a small hill with stairs leading up to his house. Today he didn't take the stairs as he kicked off the rails and ran along the wall of his house. Jumping off he flew down the remaining stairs and hit the ground running. His muscles were being fully exerted and they enjoyed it. He felt the blood pump throughout his body as he left the living district of kumogakure.

He sprinted towards the village gates preparing to go towards the volcano for his mission with Tenma. Sprinting through the gates all the was left in his wake was a copy of his mission requirements. The guards curiously picked it up examining it before realizing it was for the blur that zoomed past them. They laugh as they crumbled up the paper tossing it in the garbage can. Kanji knew this land well. He left his house rarely but when he did he always took his time to become familiar with the land. He smiled as he jumped through the trees each branch creaked underneath him and his speed.

He was starting to reach his maximum speed feeling himself pushing his body to move faster than normal. Jumping off one tree he landed on a trail rushing past all the people. He weaved through them as a black blur. He saw the top of the mountain however he didn't see Tenma. He gritted his teeth starting to use the trees around himself as walls to jump off of. Zigzagging above the people on the path he soon reached the half way point of the hill.

There were no more trees to use to get past the people, all that was left was him running madly. Kanji felt his legs scream for a rest but ignore them. His chest was about to explode from all the running. He still ignored his body's pleas. He saw the fence now, he couldn't stop. He smiled even wider now knowing that he hardly wasted any time getting here.

He soon saw Tenma standing there like he usually does with his head in the clouds. Tenma got bigger and bigger as Kanji started to push people out of the way. There was one problem though, Kanji couldn't stop. He literally couldn't stop in time. His eyes widened at this turn of events and thought of a plan as the distance closed. From a bystander's eyes Kanji was about to smash into Tenma with no restraint. However Kanji had a much better idea.

He was only three meters away now and jumped into the air. Feet landing on the gate it creaked leaning back under the impact of Kanji. Quickly reaching forward Kanji grabbed the gate to stabilize himself. He hung there now, feet on the gate barely hanging onto it. He looked like a monkey trying to scale it. He stared at Tenma for a moment feeling the awkward silence go on. Quickly jumping off the gate he laugh and held out his hand for a high five. "Hey Tenma! Sorry about running late. I got caught up in something but at least now I am here right?"

He exhaled deeply trying to catch his breath bringing his hand down on his knees. He looked up from Tenma in his bent over position with a small smile on his lips. "Sorry, but I kinda exhausted myself running up here. But enough of that, How are you? What have you been up too?" Kanji said finally pulling himself together as he fixed his clothes. He looked at the weather to get a quick glance at it before continuing their mission. It was a nice day, the sun was high and it was kind of hot. But other than that there shouldn't be any weather problems. Kanji smiled at this, he liked clear weather. Turning back to Tenma he awaited his response.

PostSubject: Re: No Jumping Into The Volcano! No Jumping Into The Volcano! EmptyFri 08 Jun 2012, 7:16 am

The day crept by slowly. The sun rose higher and higher just barely peaking over the treeline in front of Tenma. He found himself unable to comfortably watch the sky while he eased against the chain link fence. The sun caused his eyes to squint and water. He pushed himself off of the metal fencing and stood of his own power for a moment. He looked about in various directions taking in all of the people who were coming out of the trees to gaze at the top of the mountain. It seemed that the rush were making their way in now. He could even see someone climbing on the fence in the distance and getting the attention of a guard who rushed over. Their voices didn't reach Tenma, but he could guess what was being said.

He looked down the mountain path that he had come up to see a few group making their way up. He had to walk a bit away from the fence to see them. He left his backpack sitting up against the fence as he gazed down the path. His hiking was like a marathon sprint compared to some of these people's paces as they came up the mountain. He chastised himself for thinking that of the hikers. He had heard that the people who climbed the mountain were almost all regular individuals. Unless they were farmers or physical laborers some wouldn't even have time or the chance to focus on physical conditioning. It was rude to insult their pace when you are a shinobi trained to better these environments than most others. He bit his lip to remind him to watch his tongue even mentally.

As soon as he was done a sight caught his eye. A black blur was making its way up the hill though not the traditional way. It was hopping from branch to branch going over most of the climbers. Nearly halfway up the blur had to dismount from the trees and make the rest of the trek ground side. It moved rapidly in between figures as its pace was much much greater than the others. It was approaching rapidly. Tenma had an idea who it was, and knew it would be here any moment. He turned around and made his way back toward the fence. He had no particular reasoning as to why he didn't eagerly await his friend's arrival at the edge of the decline, but he felt more comfortable backing away from the edge. Maybe he feared a collision or an incident. That wouldn't be too farfetched.

The black blur came within sight now on a collision course with Tenma and the chain link fence. He immediately recognized the distinguishing white hair of Kanji Senju as he moved with the speed of a cheetah in the turf of a mountain goat. Instinctively Tenma lunged to the side as Kanji threatened to slam into the fence, but his concerns were misplaced as Kanji leaped into the air and landed on the fencing like some kind of Marvel Superhero. He held himself up there for several seconds gaining an inquisitive stare from Tenma as he wondered if Kanji was going to be okay. As if sensing the uncomfortable silence he dropped back to earth with a loud chuckle.

Tenma found himself much more at ease now. It was refreshing to see the happy day side to Kanji rather than the disgruntled sleepless side. His teammate approached him gesturing to greet with a high five. Tenma happily accommodated his friend by returning the gesture with a gleeful smile. Any moods he felt in the past week were nothing in comparison to meeting up with good friends after time apart. It seemed Kanji either shared in his sentiments or Tenma had forgotten just how Kanji acted during the day after spending so many nights together.

"Hey Tenma! Sorry about running late. I got caught up in something but at least now I am here right?" Kanji said in between his heavy breathing from exerting himself to get up the mountain. Tenma gave a small chuckle and waved his hand. "Of course of course, no problem. It's good to have you up here as well."

Kanji exhaled deeply in attempt to catch his rushing breath. He fell to a lower position with his hands supporting him from his knees. He panted heavily until his breathing began to stabilize. He managed to lift his head with a small smile on his face and continued the introductions. "Sorry, but I kinda exhausted myself running up here. But enough of that, How are you? What have you been up too?"

Tenma gave another chuckle and replied with, "I can imagine!" He pondered for a moment to respond. Nothing came to mind when the query of what he had been doing came to mind. He had mostly been lazing around, performing menial tasks, and passing time. Anything he could say felt pale in comparison to Kanji's colorful stories. "I am doing wonderful. It's nice to go out on a mission after so much down time. Though I have nothing to mention when it comes to what I've done in the past week. Mostly boring running around or lounging at home."

"However," Tenma said with a sneaky grin, "There are stories about you my friend popping up around the village. Apparently you've been seeing people, making friends, and making a name for yourself!"

"I can imagine!" Tenma said reminding Kanji of his sprint up the volcano's side. He felt himself get exhausted all over again just from remembering. "I am doing wonderful. It's nice to go out on a mission after so much down time. Though I have nothing to mention when it comes to what I've done in the past week. Mostly boring running around or lounging at home." Kanji felt himself almost start drooling at the thought of being able to lounge around his house. Kirima, The Raikage and even Miyako had him tired out emotionally and mentally. It was good to be near Tenma since he never tried to do anything to irritate Kanji. "However," Kanji mentally sighed at this. Tenma usually had something silly to say when he smiled like that. "There are stories about you my friend popping up around the village. Apparently you've been seeing people, making friends, and making a name for yourself!" Kanji took a step back making a bit of a disgusted face as if he just heard the most annoying thing in the world. "Yeah... I figured I would've... Sorry if it caused you any trouble but I can't help it. I always end up having something happen. I guess being Kanji is suffering considering all the stress I've gone through." Kanji said starting to have a smiling face instead of a disgusted one. He raised a hand to stop Tenma from speaking as he watched the people come up the trail.

One of them was looking extremely angry, practically having smoke come from his ears. He was covered in dirt and Kanji felt like he recognized him. The man walked up the fence and grabbed it muttering something about it. He was rather tall probably around six feet tall. The fence was only ten feet tall too so he could easily scale the thing. Then Kanji bit his bottom lip, the man read his mind and began to scale the thing. "Shit. Come on Tenma we gotta stop him..." Kanji ran up towards the man. Grabbing onto the man's foot he tugged at it gently to get his attention. He was already a good foot off the ground and was getting closer to the barb wire. "Sir you aren't suppose to climb the fence. That isn't allowed." The man looked at Kanji as his eyes grew wider, "Piss off you little shit. You pushed me down the trail trying to get up here so I'm getting closer to the volcano." The man obviously wasn't very happy. Kanji held the man's left leg in place as he tried to go higher. With out his left leg he couldn't get much farther. The man looked back at Kanji, his blue eyes staring daggers at him. He lifted his left leg up and kicked Kanji square in the face. Kanji took a step backwards holding his nose letting go of the man. "You're dead now." Kanji muttered as a small trail of blood trickled out of his nose.

Removing his right hand from his nose he grabbed the man by his left leg. Holding his nose with his left hand, Kanji pulled the man off the fence. He didn't let go of the fence easily as it leaned with the man till he was forced to let go. Landing face first the man's long blonde hair was now soiled with dirt and his brown skin was turning red from rage. Letting his left hand fall from his face Kanji sniffled feeling the blood stop flowing. The man stood up easily towering over Kanji and Tenma. "Stand back Tenma. This one is going to be mine." Kanji cracked his knuckles smirking at the man. "You're dead meat kid. No one makes a fool out of Jack Rakan like that." The man swung his fist towards Kanji's skull. Kanji jumped back noticing the man's fist practically was the size of Kanji's head. Charging forward he punched the man in the gut with all his strength knocking him off his feet. Falling back Jack probably wouldn't get back up. Kanji turned towards Tenma with Jack effectively disposed of. "Well that took care of him. Today might be fun after all." Kanji said with a smile as he rubbed the blood off his face.

Jack's eyes dilated staring into the sun. His rage wasn't easily stopped as he slowly came back to life. He stood up once more towering over Kanji. His shadow cast over him and Tenma. But only Tenma could see him coming. He swung for the back of Kanji's head with his right fist then took a step forward swinging towards Tenma with his left. Kanji easily ducked down and rolled towards the gate to dodge his first fist. Kanji's eyes widened when he saw the second heading for Tenma. "TENMA DUCK! DO SOMETHING!" Kanji yelled standing back up. He gritted his teeth hoping for the best.

PostSubject: Re: No Jumping Into The Volcano! No Jumping Into The Volcano! EmptyTue 12 Jun 2012, 12:10 am

The crimson-haired youth watched his snow-white friend seemingly slump at the mention of his run. He couldn't keep himself from smiling even more obviously amused with his buddy's display. However, after he brought up the rumors he had heard about Kanji his face seemed to contort causing Tenma's smile to fade for the moment. Tenma was filled with bewilderment when Kanji made the disgusted expression as if Tenma had said something completely unsuitable out of no where. He knew not the contents of the stories or what Kanji had done around the village, but the general vibe was all positive. Tenma was having difficulty figuring out why Kanji seemed unsettled by Tenma's knowledge of his adventures. Kanji made himself clear though as he seemed to move back from his initial expression.

"Yeah... I figured I would've... Sorry if it caused you any trouble but I can't help it. I always end up having something happen. I guess being Kanji is suffering considering all the stress I've gone through." Kanji said slowly moving back towards a smile.

He crossed his arms and let out a chuckle at Kanji's reasoning. His expression was beaming as he relished the moment. Kanji cared so much about others, and it only made Tenma value their friendship even more. "Not at all," he said in between laughs, "Why would I be troubled by tha-" He was cut off short as Kanji became serious. He held up his hand signaling Tenma to be quiet. Kanji's expression told him that something potentially dangerous was about to occur. Tenma too followed his gaze and awaited the threat that his ally sensed.

Just clearing the top of the trail a behemoth of a man approached. His size was incredible. Both his height and muscle mass were leagues ahead of most men. He must be some kind of physical laborer to boast such a build. His clothes were simple for hiking and keeping him cool. His cargo shorts let his legs breath and he wore a white tank top. His skin tone was just as dark as Kanji's suggesting he had no trouble staying in the sun where Tenma might burn. He had long blond hair that cascaded down his head and shoulders. His brow was deeply furrowed. His expression suggested that he was incredibly irritated or pissed off. His clothes were riddled with dirt suggested that he might have fallen or stumbled off the path at one point. The spots were obvious on his white tank top.

Tenma noticed that his party appeared to be family or friends who were keeping their distance at the moment. Tenma thought maybe this man was prone to fits of anger and it was best to leave him be until he cooled down. They were talking amongst themselves, but kept an eye on their companion as he walked ahead of them. One of females amongst them gave a small gasp leading Tenma's eyes back upon the behemoth. He was now scaling the chain link fence. He didn't seem to care about his party, the imposing barbed wire, or the two genin nearby. Tenma sighed as he knew this was one of the situations that they were prepped for. Peaceful negotiation and non-violent inhibition were the answers to belligerent guests.

"Shit. Come on Tenma we gotta stop him..." Kanji spoke with reluctance to deal with the behemoth, but actively approached the man. Tenma walked calmly behind him letting Kanji take the lead, but staying close to provide support. Kanji made his way right behind the man who was within arms reach of the barbed wire at this point. He lifted a hand and tugged on the climber's ankle to get his attention. In a calm yet authoritative voice Kanji spoke to the man, "Sir you aren't suppose to climb the fence. That isn't allowed."

The behemoth's face visibly reddened as he looked down on Kanji. "Piss off you little shit. You pushed me down the trail trying to get up here so I'm getting closer to the volcano." The two had obviously met sometime early, probably on Kanji's speedy climb to the top. Tenma sighed at the turning development. The behemoth wasn't in any mood to stop, and would not follow any command Kanji would give at this point. This wouldn't be ending well.

Kanji kept a solid grip on the man's foot preventing him from climbing further. This didn't stop the man's stubborn attempts to wrestle his foot free. Kanji kept a solid gaze on the man until their eyes met once more. Kanji had his 'seriously annoyed' face and the behemoth looked like he was about to rage. Displaying strength proportional to his muscles he yanked his foot up overpowering Kanji's arms and shot it back downward into Kanji's face. He reeled back from the blow grasping his nose with a free hand to nurse his wound. Tenma's now pissed off friend moved into action. "You're dead now," Kanji muttered while a small river of blood exited his nose and ran down his chin. His free hand latched back onto the man's foot, and with a superior footing on the ground relinquished the behemoth from the chain link fence causing him to fall face first onto the ground.

The behemoth slowly lifted himself from the dirt as Kanji stopped his nose from bleeding. Kanji didn't seem to mind the impeding confrontation with this man after he assaulted him. Tenma glanced at the behemoth's party who stood frozen staring on with mouths slightly agape. It seemed like it was up to Kanji to subdue the man. Tenma didn't want too much violence to occur given they were suppose to be using peaceful methods to keep climbers down and not attacking them. Kanji looked back to him for a moment throwing his friend some reassuring words, "Stand back Tenma. This one is going to be mine." Kanji cracked his knuckles menacingly. Tenma followed his friend's suggestion standing with his arms crossed. He would not get involved at the moment given that the behemoth is the one who threw the first blow.

In a booming voice the behemoth spoke, "You're dead meat kid. No one makes a fool out of Jack Rakan like that." Jack Rakan, as he self-proclaimed, pulled back a monstrous fist and threw it forward at Kanji's head. Surely the blow would do plenty of damage given the behemoth's build. Kanji drew back a bit to get just out of reach of Jack's arm and moved back inward. Despite his small size Kanji struck a blow the behemoth's gut that toppled him. It seemed that this wouldn't last long. Tenma couldn't keep a small triumphant expression from escaping. Kanji turned his back on the man and moved back toward Tenma. The crimson youth believed that shortly the Rakan party would move forward to collect their friend. If the behemoth admitted his wrong doings and apologized accordingly Tenma would be more than happy to provide some medical aid to him.

Those thoughts were cut short at Tenma noticed the silhouette of the behemoth rise behind Kanji. Once again the man was charging forward with a steady-armed punch. As if seeing the surprise on Tenma's face Kanji leaped out of the way avoiding the man's strike. Jack continued forward deciding that if he couldn't land a blow on Kanji he would just strike his friend. Kanji's voice rang out, "TENMA DUCK! DO SOMETHING!" Tenma didn't need to be told to avoid the man's punch.

With honed skill Tenma shifted his footing moving to the side. He veered just enough to avoid the man's beefy fist and did a quick turn on his heels to face him away. With a quick hop Tenma moved himself about two meters away. As he moved through the air the genin flashed hand signs. He wasn't going to take any chance. Tenma's hand were aglow with blue light as chakra focused on his palms. Upon landing the genin slammed his outstretched hands onto the ground. It was motionless. In the span of a moment four chains shot forth from the earth around Jack. The behemoth seemed stunned by the sudden appearance of chains, and was unable to react against them. It took only a moment for the four ethereal chains to wrap about his limbs and torso effectively rooting the man. Immediately after being bound he struggled against the chains, but found even the genin's chains were formidable.

Tenma looked up at Jack with an obscured face. His eyes were darkened by his hair and his glasses gave off a small glint from the morning light. His voice was solid and serious. "As you no doubt heard at the post when you first got here you are not allowed to climb the chain link fence nor approach beyond their boundary to the mountain's rim. Not only did you disobey that, but you assaulted a temporary guard and attempted to assault another. Our goal is to enforce these rules while maintaining a peaceful demeanor. You're making our job rather difficult Jack Rakan. Tenma met the man's eyes at this point. "I'll ask you only once. Report to your party, proceed down the mountain, and leave the area. You are ordered to leave."

The scarlet youth dropped his serious tone and his face seemed to soften at this point, "However, if you apologize we might let you view the top of the mountain before leaving. It'd be a waste after hiking all the way up here." Tenma's eyes were closed and he was giving a small smile. The man remained bound as Tenma's position was equally rooted. It became apparent that the man wasn't getting loose until he apologized.

Kanji stumbled backwards at seeing the massive beast known as Jack Rakan restrained by Tenma Uzumaki. Was this really the same uzumaki who took in arrow to his knee during their first mission? He had developed his combat skills during their small break. Jack tried to break free but his efforts were worthless compared to Tenma's chains. A sinister look appeared on Tenma's usually cheerful face. As if the gates of hell had opened Tenma looked like a demon beneath his hair's shadow. Kanji felt himself frozen in place from fear. Gritting his teeth he tried to calm his nerve while Tenma spoke to the man. I'll ask you only once. Report to your party, proceed down the mountain, and leave the area. You are ordered to leave." He was being reasonable but his face made his words have a much deeper effect. Jack was obviously sweating now. This wasn't a group of two ordinary kids. Trying to speak Jack Rakan opened his mouth to find no sound could escape.

Tenma dropped his serious tone and his face seemed to return to normal, "However, if you apologize we might let you view the top of the mountain before leaving. It'd be a waste after hiking all the way up here." Kanji relaxed and smiled slightly at seeing the old Tenma returned before him. He had no idea how scary the scarlet genin could be. Jack even seemed happy to see him return to his normal tone. Flexing his muscles once more in an attempt to break the chains but now it was obvious that he wouldn't break them. Kanji walked up to Jack and patted him on his left arm. "No hard feelings right Mr. Rakan? If you just say sorry we can forget the whole thing and you can go back to your friends over there." Kanji said with a smile towards the giant man. His muscles relaxed and the chains themselves even visibly relaxed. "Al-Alright... Thank you for giving me the chance to stay... I'm sorry temp guard. I shouldn't have reacted that way. It was very immature of me..." Jack said this in a low voice obviously feeling embarrassed to apologize to kids half his size. "Just call me Kanji. It's fine. I shouldn't have pushed you down anyways. So I'm sorry for that." Kanji nodded towards Tenma to release the chains on the man so he wouldn't have to waste chakra. The whole mess was over as well so it wasn't even needed. As they released Jack he sighed and held out his hand towards Kanji. "Alright. Have a nice day Kanji." Shaking his hand Kanji nodded his head. "You too." Jack turned his attention to Tenma and bowed his head towards him. Kanji was taken back slightly by this action as Jack stood straight up. "I'm sorry for that. I hope you can forgive as well."

Turning his back to the two of them Kanji went on ahead to go make sure the other area was secure. He was positive Tenma would treat the man nice so no need to stick around and see. Kanji stopped a few others from coming too close to the fence warning them about it. They happily obliged and the day went by rather smoothly. Looking at the sky its blue color held Kanji's attention as he leaned against the fence. Aware of his surroundings but at the same time not aware at all. The clouds lazily floated by and over the volcano people would walk around the rim of it admiring it. The sun was high in the sky and Kanji hadn't noticed the time till it was too late. It was around lunch time if not past it. Looking for Tenma, Kanji spotted him off in the distance handling a few people. Walking over towards Tenma has saw Jack Rakan sitting on the side of the volcano eating lunch. His party seemed to be enjoying themselves and forgot about the whole mess that had happened. Smiling Kanji felt himself move a little faster seeing people happy. Walking up to Tenma he waved towards him hoping to catch his attention. "Hey Tenma. It is about lunch time. You ready to eat?" At the mention of eating Kanji's stomach started to growl, smiling weakly he rubbed his stomach. "Looks like my stomach is ahead of us... hehe..."

Pulling out the box he grabbed at his house he noticed something wrong with it. This was his kunai pouch. He left his food at his house and grabbed his pouch instead. Sighing and feeling more depressed than ever Kanji slumped down. He leaned against the fence looking at Tenma. "Well, have a seat and start eating." Kanji patted the ground next to him as he pulled his legs up to his chest. He stared off over the edge of the volcano at the forest. It was a beautiful day and it would be even better if he had his food. To emphasize this point his stomach growled again. Kanji felt miserable as he closed his eyes. At least he could sleep for a good thirty minutes if he couldn't eat.

Tenma smiled happily as Jack Rakan and Kanji Senju were becoming acquiescences. Even after the brutal beginnings they managed to put aside the injustice done to both parties and forge a relationship. The chain-wielding youngster watched in awe as Jack Rakan shifted from a nervous tone to a friendly manner. He expected at least one of the two offending parties to hold grudges or harsh feelings for one another, but Kanji managed to make Jack feel better and want to become his friend. It was an amazing transformation.

The same Kanji that Tenma first met who seemed short-spoken and reluctant to forge bonds. The Kanji who had fought gallantly against bandits and seemed both ruthless and merciful. The same Kanji who night after night would walk like a zombie through the village cursing at everything that moved. The Kanji who had only recently opened up to Tenma. This Kanji seemed nothing like the previous one he knew, yet exactly like the Kanji he knew. Tenma was awe-struck as Kanji and Jack gave their goodbyes and went their separate ways. He knew that every story he had heard was absolutely true. Kanji had a gift that was for sure. Whether he was aware of it or not didn't seem to matter at this point. Kanji had a gift for forging bonds and establishing relationships with others. He could be brutal enemies one moment and manage to become friends after an exchange of fists. Even in Tenma's kindness others he had beaten would never consider him a friend afterward. He could only speculate at this point, but as long as the stories were consistent Kanji had a talent for making friends and those would probably catch up with him as he met more and more people.

Tenma was left to his thoughts after the incident with Jack. Kanji ran off energetically to keep a few more kids from climbing the fence. He leaned up against the fence staying put rather than running around. Despite his calm demeanor while using that jutsu it was rather taxing on his body and chakra costly. To manifest four chains was incredibly difficult for the young Uzumaki. Tenma watched with a small smile as his breath came out labored. He couldn't hear his teammate speak, but he could see from his mouth moving and his hands waving that he was scolding the kids. It took only a minute for Tenma to recover physically from using his jutsu, but the chakra would take longer to come back. He pushed himself back into standing position to look like he was on his guard. Looking down he saw his backpack sitting on the ground undisturbed by all of the excitement. Sometimes he wished he could sit by oblivious to the things going on around him like the backpack. Putting those thoughts aside Tenma picked up the sack and strung it across his back to keep it close as he made his way through the day.

Other than the occasional climber or chatty hiker the day was rather dull. That wasn't to say the day was boring or uneventful. Just that time passed by slowly as the sun beat down on those who stayed at the top of the mountain. Trees stopped short of fence leaving those near it without shade. Tenma regretted not bringing a hat along with him. Still the winds that carried the mighty clouds that often loomed over Kumogakure blew across the mountain. You could always see them before they came. High above them the smoke trail from the volcano would sway in the direction the went was going. It would be a few moments before the gales would hit those on the ground, but it was consistent. These kept Tenma cool enough to continue standing and functioning. Otherwise he might have to rest under the shade to avoid getting heatstroke from the bright early-summer sun.

As he was making slow rounds around the volcano he saw the same party caught up in the commotion from early. The iconic Jack Rakan sat on the edge of the decline enjoying the time spent with his friends and family. Tenma smiled as he walked past. A booming voice beckoned him back.

"Hey! You're the guy with Kanji! The other guy who did those amazing tricks with those chain!" The voice caused Tenma to turn. The nice behemoth rose to his feet and walked over to Tenma. Even now he could help, but feel a bit intimidated by the large man. Tenma was still much smaller. Jack reached out and patted Tenma shoulder. He had a large smile on his face. "I gotta apologize to you too. I was out of control and you caught me before I did something I would really regret. And not only that, but you forgave me for rampaging around and let me stay. I want to let you know I really appreciate it!"

Tenma couldn't keep himself from beaming as Jack spoke sincerely to him. "It was no trouble. I'm just glad you and Kanji worked things out. After that I wouldn't have been able to ask you to leave without being the bad guy." Tenma chuckled to his own words. Jack followed along too seeming to understand exactly what Tenma meant.

"Yeah I jumped off the handle when he rushed past me, but after our scuffle he just seemed like a really good guy. I couldn't keep myself from feeling like his friend." Jack looked over the volcano into the bright blue sky as if he were reflecting on the past. Tenma waited for him to finish his thoughts wondering if he was about to have a revelation of some sort.

"Hey Tenma. It is about lunch time. You ready to eat?"

Tenma turned to see Kanji sprinting toward them. He peeked at the sky to see the sun was about at its highest so it must be close to midday. He wouldn't mind having lunch right now. It would keep his body from failing him in the afternoon since the sun wasn't going anywhere for a few hours. He felt the hand on his shoulder push him toward Kanji. Tenma looked over his shoulder at Jack. "Go enjoy your lunch kid!" Jack said with a smile. Tenma gave him a nod and covered the rest of the distance to Kanji. His teammate relinquished a satchel of some kind and opened it. His ravenous expression shifted to one of sullen disappointment as he viewed the contents within. Tenma leaned in to see what Kanji had in his hand. To his surprise the satchel was full of kunai and other ninja tools.

Tenma moved away from Kanji and closed his mouth tight. He tried to suppress the noises swelling up, but they slipped out in little increments. In only a few moment he was laughing hysterically at his friend's misfortune. He couldn't keep himself from doing it. "I'm sorry I'm sorry!" Tenma said waving his hands "I can't keep myself from laughing!" Even with Tenma's apologies he could tell Kanji wasn't exactly happy. His buddy set himself upon the ground with a frustrated expression. "Well, have a seat and start eating." He pulled his legs up to his chest and looked absolutely miserable.

Tenma sat down next to him with his backpack held in his hands. "Oh don't be like that Kanji," Tenma said with a smile. He opened the main compartment of his backpack and pulled the treasure chest of bentos out from within. He set it upon the ground in front of both him and Kanji. Opening the lid slowly revealed a treasure within meant for only the luckiest of hunters. The box had a bottom level where heaviest items sat while another level was held above it meant for lighter items. The bottom had nearly sixteen rice balls in a row with enough room for scrambled egg and pork dish to sit there as well. The lifted level had many borders built within to keep items from touching. The various indentations held treasures of their own from fish to vegetables to chicken to sauces and other items to touch up the others. Tenma was proud of his creations and was thanking the whim to make a glorious lunch the night before.

He reached down and pulled out several sets of chopsticks. With his other hand he gripped one of the rice balls. Careful to keep his hands on the seaweed wrap to avoid sinking his digits into the soft rice he held both out toward Kanji. "Come on, there's plenty here to share. You can't go the rest of the day without food and I always make way too much." Tenma offered without giving Kanji a chance to decline.

Kanji eyed the food watching as Tenma revealed a feast fit for three. He sighed and closed his eyes at the sight of food. His stomach growled in envy of Tenma. Opening his eyes Kanji saw Tenma handing him a pair of chop sticks and a rice ball. "Come on, there's plenty here to share. You can't go the rest of the day without food and I always make way too much." Kanji stared at the food for a moment before snatching it out of Tenma's hands and devouring the rice ball. After finishing the rice ball Kanji split his chop sticks in half and looked at Tenma. "Thank you Tenma!" Digging into Tenma's home made meal Kanji ate away at half of the box. In between bites Kanji decided to strike up conversation for their lunch. "So yeah. While I was gone. Mmm Hold on. This is really good. But like I was saying while I was gone I met some interesting people." Kanji had small pieces of food around his mouth staining his already dark skin. Oblivious to it Kanji continued to eat while trying to leave no scraps. "I met the Raikage. She was really sweet despite some of the stuff I did..." At this Kanji stopped eating and drew silent. He looked at his chop sticks with a dark expression as if remembering something horrible.

Shaking his head he rubbed his mouth clean with the back of his left hand. Wiping off the remains of what once could be considered food his expression lightened up. "I like her a lot. She seemed really motherly despite looking so young. Then I met this other girl. You might know her as the jinchuriki of the nibi." Kanji said while starting to eat again. He looked Tenma in the eyes for his next statement. "She was really nice. Those rumors about her were completely wrong. I think I made a powerful ally though. So I decided it would be best to get close to her and gain her trust. I could even train my senju's ability on her. You know that our wood has a calming effect on the bijuu right? I want to try it out but the jutsu seems way out of my league. But it should be fun to hang out with her! After all not everyone can say they help train a jinchuriki right?" Kanji seemed to lose his serious demur after continuing on about Kirima. He wasn't sure what Tenma thought of his plan but it wasn't to use her. Kanji really did like her for who she was, he stopped eating again and held the chopsticks in his mouth. "I want you to know I am not trying to use her. She is really sweet and I really do like her for who she is. I just kinda realized how my plans for the future might sound like me taking advantage of her." Kanji smiled faintly towards Tenma before taking the last bite that Kanji considered to be his share.

Chewing on the chopsticks in his mouth Kanji continued his story of his break. "After I got her to open up to me I ended up staying at home. I didn't do much between now and then. I met this kid named Sanjiro. He was pretty cool. Didn't get to talk much to him. He was amazing at this game called Street Warrior: Way of the Tiger. I almost had him till he finished me off with his ultimate move. Everyone thought I was going to win too. But you win some you lose some right? Then I met this girl today. Her name was.... Miyako! She had a bird. The raikage had a dog too! I've been having bad luck with animals recently. The dog and the bird disliked me. But other than that the girl seemed nice. She came from a swallow clan I believe..." Kanji trailed off as he stared in the distance. Their mission was coming close to an end. However Kanji knew that it wouldn't be this easy. The calm before the storm was happening right now. The storm was slowly making its way towards the fence. "She also had golden yellowish eyes... But other than that she was pretty normal..." Kanji gritted his teeth however the chopsticks prevented that as the were snapped in half from the strength of his jaw. By know Tenma probably would have noticed them too. There were five teenagers. Not that much older than them trying to scale the fence. God only knows why but they were going to do it despite some people telling them not to.

"Tsk. Looks like story time is over Tenma. Go ahead and finish the lunch if you haven't by now. We have to do our job." Kanji spit out the chop sticks and started to walk towards the five. They all were about the same height give or take an inch. One of them had black hair with blue eyes and he decided to be their spokesman towards Kanji. "Aye kid! You ain't gonna try and stop us right? We'll beat you to a pulp if you want to try. Now stay out of our way." He smiled at Kanji with a cocky grin. His white shirt and blue jeans seemed to be plain in comparison to the others. His black shoes seemed similar to Kanji's though. The thought of them being similar made him sick. Kanji only frowned to this thought while another spoke up. "James come on man. Don't be mean to the kid. I bet he only wanted to join us. Right kid?" This one seemed reasonable to an extent. He wore black jeans and black hoodie. His white shoes stood out from the rest of his black attire and they had a design on them that Kanji recognized as a new brand starting to gain popularity. The reoccurring theme with them seemed to be black. His blonde hair and green eyes easily stood out from all of the black. Each one of them were around Kanji's height so no advantage was given to either side. However they had numbers Kanji couldn't match. His frown only worsened at the thought of having to fight all five. The third one spoke to Kanji and he seemed the most friendly. "Listen here Kid. Kevin and James just don't know how to be nice. Just ignore them. I'll let you come with us. My name is Kirei by the way." He smiled at Kanji stepping in front of the previous two.

His brown hair and hazel eyes seemed dull. As if hiding some sort of secret that Kanji didn't know. He gritted his teeth analyzing this one too. He seemed to be the strongest out of all of them. They were all skinny and lean but he seemed to have some muscle underneath his black jacket. Kirei wore blue jeans and black shoes similar to James however Kanji didn't like the feeling he got from him. Kanji paid no mind to the other two as the seemed more focused on Tenma than Kanji. "I'm sorry but you can't climb that fence. That is a warning. If you ignore it I am forced to escort you off the volcano." Kanji said in a monotone voice. He hadn't want to do this but they were going to make him. "Oh, you're gonna escort all of us off the volcano? Let's see you try!" James said stepping forward and swinging for Kanji's head. "James don't!" Kirei called out as he soon realized that Kanji wasn't an ordinary kid. Ducking low Kanji punched James in the gut then proceeded to push him upwards with the same fist. Now standing up holding James on his left fist Kanji looked at the other two. "I will use force if you attack me." Kanji said this time with a little smile. He didn't want to fight after eating. However he had to do his job. They just ruined Kanji's lunch break. Perhaps the worst thing in the world to do.

Tossing James to the side he slide a little till he stopped just short of the edge. Soon a massive shadow stood over Kanji and the two teenagers took a step back. Turning around Kanji saw Jack Rakan looking down upon him. "I'll help you out Kanji. You incapacitate then and I'll watch them till you and Tenma are done okay?" Jack said with a grin. Feeling relieved Kanji nodded before looking back at Tenma. He was peacefully minding his own business as the other two had ran off at seeing James get defeated.Turning his attention back towards Kirei and Kevin he smiled. Kevin shaking in fear didn't have his confidence like he did earlier and charged Kanji crazily. "I'll get you for James!" Kevin screamed as Kirei looked on disappointed. Easily side stepping Kevin Kanji kneed him in the gut knocking the wind out of him. Falling to the ground Kanji caught him and tossed him towards Jack Rakan. He pretty much sat on their backs watching the battle take place. Kanji mentally sighed at this. He didn't expect much from Jack anyways. Looking back at Kirei he felt a killing intent immediately resonate from him. Swallowing Kanji gritted his teeth and took a defensive stance. Placing his left foot in front of him he slide he right foot behind it at shoulder width apart. Holding his left hand up open handed in front of him and held his right open handed as well up to his chest.

Kanji was just going to grab anything thrown at him and toss it to the side not wanting Kirei to catch him off guard. Kirei threw his black jacket over the edge of the volcano smiling towards Kanji. Kanji really didn't like that smile. It was evil, as if it had nothing to left to lose. Kirei charged forward moving with more elegance than the previous two. Preparing to grab his fist or arm Kanji lowered himself. Jumping into the air much to Kanji's surprise Kirei successively kneed Kanji in the nose effectively breaking it. "Gah! That's it!" Kanji shouted grabbed onto Kirei's upper thigh. Ignoring the pain he spun in a three hundred and sixty degree circle before smashing Kirei into the fence. Letting go and stumble back Kanji breathed heavily through his mouth as Kirei stood up practically unscathed. Smiling just like before Kirei charged at Kanji once more. Gritting his teeth Kanji balled his right hand into a fist and swung for Kirei's face. Stepping into the punch Kirei took a full blow from Kanji to his jaw. Most would have fractured their jaw but not Kirei, he smiled and punched Kanji in the nose hurting him even more. Stumbling back Kanji cried out in pain. "You bastard! How are you still standing?! No one can take a full blow from me and not stumble back!" Kanji cried out in anger. "Well I will admit no one has ever loosened my teeth before. Much less made me bite my tongue no matter how lightly." Kirei said with a smile. A small trail of blood left his mouth and it dripped down his chiseled chin with no resistance. Kanji growled angrily as he charged forward. Ducking low he avoid Kirei's first punch and delivered one towards his stomach only to be kneed in the jaw preemptively. "Bitch!" Kanji mumbled before stepping back. This was bad. So far only Kanji had been taking hits while Kirei easily avoided him.

Kanji charged once more and repeated his previous action of ducking low. It payed off once more as Kirei swung and missed. Kanji leaned back and placed his hands on the ground just as Kirei tried to knee him once more. Effectively making a bridge with his body Kanji kicked his feet off the ground. Kirei was already losing balance and falling forward as Kanji kicked him in the jaw knocking his head back. Kanji landed on all fours and jumped back as Kirei stumbled forward. "You're good... Too good... I'll have to handicap you to be fair." Kirei said with a sinister smile as he pulled out a kunai. Kanji's eyes widened as he made his decision. The next charge would finish it all. Running forward the two forces clashed. Ducking low Kanji saw the kunai glimmer in the sun light as he felt a sharp pain in his left arm. Gritting his teeth he kept low and poured chakra into his legs. He kicked Kirei sharply in the jaw launching him into the air. A good fifteen meters above the ground Kanji looked at his left arm quickly. The kunai was still there, gritting his teeth Kanji pulled out the kunai and tossed it to the side. Just as Kirei stopped gaining height Kanji appeared below him. Like a leaf in the wind they seemed to be there forever but it was only a second.

"This ends it all, Kirei." Kanji whispered as he kicked to Kirei's left side. Easily blocking it Kirei immediately went to defend his right side before waiting for Kanji to try and attack. Smiling at Kirei's folly Kanji swung to kick Kirei's right but stopped just short. Spinning around he delivered a full force leg drop on Kirei's chest. Having the wind knocked out of him Kirei was launched to the ground and crashed. Kanji landed on his feet not so gracefully as he stumbled forward towards Kirei. Mounting him Kanji grabbed Kirei by his collar with his left hand and had his right fist ready to punch him. "Do it... Kill me! Crush my skull! Do it! Hit me! HIT ME!" Kirei screamed laughing manically. Kanji's fist started shaking as he gritted his teeth. "Damn it!" He screamed punching the ground next to Kirei's head leaving a mini crater. Letting go of his collar Kanji stood up and scoffed at him. "It's over with Kirei. You'll be under arrest for attacking a guard with deadly force..." Kanji said as he looked towards Jack. He had a faint smile on his lips after watching their battle. He looked like he had all of the others easily taken care of. "Good job kid. You did good." Kanji smiled slightly and nodded his head. "Tenma. I need your medical genius to fix me up man. I got banged up a little..." Kanji said as he looked back at Jack. He had tied up Kirei with the others with some rope he had brought. Kanji pondered what he had planned to do with the rope.

Ignoring it he turned his attention back to Tenma. "Once you finish healing me we can go ahead and say the mission is done. Our shift is pretty much over and we will probably be spending the last few minutes walking these guys to Kumo to be handled properly." Kanji smiled at Tenma as he held his hand up for a high five. "Good job Tenma."

No Jumping Into The Volcano! Vide
PostSubject: Re: No Jumping Into The Volcano! No Jumping Into The Volcano! EmptyTue 19 Jun 2012, 5:51 am

Tenma beamed a smile as Kanji stared at the rice ball with ravenous eyes before grabbing it and stuffing it into his mouth. He had a feeling that this extra food for lunch would come in handy when he was making it. Kanji instantly moved into devouring mode as he grabbed bits of every dish and ate like he hadn't seen food in days. It warmed Tenma's heart to see someone enjoying the food he cooked himself so much. It's every chef's dream to have others enjoy the food he prepares. Between bites he managed to show his satisfaction with, "Thank you Tenma!"

"So yeah. While I was gone. Mmm Hold on. This is really good. But like I was saying while I was gone I met some interesting people." He suddenly stopped eating just long enough to start talking again. He had bits of white rice around his mouth that stuck out against dark skin. "I met the Raikage. She was really sweet despite some of the stuff I did..." His words trailed off into silence at this point. His former excitement and spirit dissolved away as he seemed to enter his mental realms and reflect on whatever actions he spoke of while he was talking to the Raikage. Tenma's expression dropped as he looked at his friend concerned.

However, he broke out of his trance and immediately wiped at his mouth removing the rice bits from his face. He seemed to lighten back up after both physically and metaphorically cleaning himself. His tone was just as excited as it was previously. "I like her a lot. She seemed really motherly despite looking so young. Then I met this other girl. You might know her as the jinchuriki of the nibi." Tenma visibly showed surprise at at the mention of the jinchuuriki. He had heard that Kumo held both the Nibi and the Yonbi jinchuuriki, but he knew only very few details about these individuals. After all not everyone can say they help train a jinchuriki right?" Tenma smiled as Kanji spoke of the girl who held the two-tailed demon cat within her. He hadn't heard of any rumors about her, but he now knew they had no credibility. He thought it was some kind of twist of fate that a Jinchuuriki and a Senju would become friends. Both Kanji and Tenma's clans had a tied history to the Bijuu. Perhaps they had some kind of relationship to the Sage of the Six Paths. Tenma felt a desire to get to know this girl that Kanji held in such high spirits. Tenma was once again surprised as Kanji chimed in, "I want you to know I am not trying to use her. She is really sweet and I really do like her for who she is. I just kinda realized how my plans for the future might sound like me taking advantage of her," Kanji stopped eating to make this point. Tenma gave a small chuckle and waved a hand in front of him to non-verbally let him know that that thought hadn't crossed his mind.

Kanji placed the chopsticks between his teeth and continued to tell his story. They muffled some of his voice, but Tenma could still keep up with him. She came from a swallow clan I believe..." Kanji's story was moving at a much higher pace now as he spoke of the third and fourth person he met up with. Tenma was barely even following what Kanji was talking about at this point other than he was meeting all sorts of people. He once again trailed off, but instead of slumping down he seemed to stare off trying to remember something. "She also had golden yellowish eyes... But other than that she was pretty normal..." Kanji mumbled off more details about the girl.

His eyes were above Tenma's head, but he noticed that his gaze seemed to have found a target. Kanji furrowed his brow signaling that whatever he saw was troubling him. Tenma was tempted to turn around, but Kanji spoke to him before he could. "Tsk. Looks like story time is over Tenma. Go ahead and finish the lunch if you haven't by now. We have to do our job." Tenma turned to watch him run over to a group of five teens who were trying to make their way over the fence. Tenma decided to take Kanji's advice and eat what was left of his lunch while watching his friend take care of more climbers. He couldn't understand what any of them were saying. They surrounded Kanji. Their facial expressions suggested they were simply chatting, but that changed after something Kanji said. The one who seemed to have a nasty disposition suddenly took a swing at Kanji prompting a similar response from Kanji.

Tenma sighed as Kanji proceeded to beat the offenders into a pulp. Tenma took his time putting all of his food up and equipment up. He even hummed a quiet tune while the sounds of a conflict came from the direction of his confrontational friend. Tenma placed the box in his bag and slung it over his shoulder just in time to see Kanji finish his fight while their new friend Jack Rakan sat upon the already defeated. Tenma sauntered over to his friend. One of the culprits were laying upon the ground. His eyes were wide and a small fist print was inlaid in the dirt next to his head. Jack Rakan congratulated Kanji on a good job. Tenma placed a hand on Kanji shoulder getting his attention. It seemed he got a few injuries while taking care of those guys.

Tenma channeled chakra to his hands causing them to glow green with medical potential. He focused on keeping just the right level of chakra control when Kanji spoke directly to Tenma. "Once you finish healing me we can go ahead and say the mission is done. Our shift is pretty much over and we will probably be spending the last few minutes walking these guys to Kumo to be handled properly." He lifted a hand up for a high five. Tenma went straight for it, but when his hands got into view he remembered that he was channeling his medical jutsu. He backed off for a moment thinking of what he should do. "Good job as well Kanji," Tenma said while giving a thumbs up.

It took only a few moments to cover all of Kanji's injuries and for the guards to come over to apprehend the offenders that Kanji had taken care of. The supervisor of the personal had taken some statements from the teens who were still conscious before making his way over to Tenma and Kanji. Tenma gave Kanji a small prod in the side with his elbow. "I have a feeling he's going to give us some trouble over out 'peaceful' methods," Tenma said with an amused and sarcastic tone.

Standing there Kanji handed over the teenagers to the guards, He was tired and his nose still felt funny but despite all the injuries he should be fine. Then the supervisor started their way so Kanji tensed up trying to look at least semi-formal for him. "I have a feeling he's going to give us some trouble over out 'peaceful' methods," Tenma nudged him while speaking such morale crushing words. Kanji frowned as the supervisor finally walked over to them. Tenma's word eating at the back of his mind. "Good job on keeping this place safe. I got a statement from Mr. Rakan along with two of the five boys that you used force on them. I believe we told you to use peaceful methods Mr. Uzumaki and Mr. Senju. Especially you Mr. Senju. They told me you fought them all one on one. Is this true?" Kanji gritted his teeth while trying to look calm for the supervisor. He couldn't lie and he at the same time knew that Jack wouldn't betray him like that. "Yes it is true. We offered them all a fair chance to back down and to not disobey the rules however they used force first causing me to react in self defense. My self defense mechanism told me to take them out as quick as possible due to my training as a shinobi. I'm sorry if it seemed excessive however the one known as Kirei forced me to take him out as I did. He broke my nose and proceeded to pull out a kunai. My instincts told me to immediately to take him out of combat before any serious harm could be done." Kanji said as formally as possible.

The supervisor looked back towards the five now moving down hill and Jack Rakan standing there with his group laughing. The man was a good person and it was obvious to tell once you become his ally. "Mr. Rakan told me the same thing. Lucky for you we won't have this affect our report on it. Good job Mr. Uzumaki. I heard you avoided the second conflict allowing Kanji to handle it and you didn't harm a person. I am proud to have you as a Kumogakure shinobi. Now Mr. Senju, We will let this slide due to you both using peaceful methods at first and not having one complaint. Next time though We will have to affect your mission record with this. But overall you two did an amazing job. Keep up the work and make Kumogakure proud." The supervisor finished with a smile and walked after the five men leaving Kanji and Tenma alone. Kanji sighed aloud visibly relieved from having this not affect then negatively. Starting down hill towards the village Kanji walked for a good ten minutes before turning around in irritation. "Damn it Tenma! Why do you always follow me home?!" Kanji shouted at this comical scene between two friends. This scene continued for a good while until they made it to the village gates and parted ways. It was a long day and new friends were made. But at the end of all of it, it was nothing more than two good friends spending the day together.
