Kabetetsu, the Elephant Warrior Vide
PostSubject: Kabetetsu, the Elephant Warrior Kabetetsu, the Elephant Warrior EmptyFri 29 Jun 2012, 8:08 am

Name: Kabetetsu
Rank: B
Appearance:
Kabetetsu, the Elephant Warrior Th?id=I4547091093521448&pid=1

Kabetetsu stands at an astounding 40ft tall and weighs several tons. His grey skin is thick and leathery and his trunk reaches a full 10ft in length. The sheer size and weight of Kabetetsu are indeed his most notable physical details but it is far from what truly makes Kabetetsu whom he is. Upon his form is usually draped the robes of an aristocrat in the Japanese sense, loose flowing golden colored threads draped over his form and gave him a regal appearance as he appears wherever he is summoned. Always carried is his trusty warhammer, a mighty behemoth of a weapon that adds to his appearance. And of course one would be quite remiss to forget the goring tusks of Kabtetsu that marked him as both male and a fierce combatant.

Personality:
Kabetetsu is an elephant with impeccable tastes, being quite fond of art and music in his day to day. He practices creating kanji with calligraphy and spends many hours in meditation daily, usually a slight distance away from other elephants. Where some might find the philosopher others are sure to find the warrior. Kabtetsu trains his body with as much devotion as he does his mind, finding the two inseparable as he seeks out his own perfection. In fact, this very trait is why he became the first of his species to sign a contract with Etorufuu Yuki. His love of the arts and calm afternoons sipping teas has also made him a fine teacher in the arts of war, philosophy, and other subjects many consider to be frivolities while the enlightened few see them as truly helpful lessons to be applied upon the battlefield.

The elephant prefers working with weapons that are heavy and unique, particularly his war hammer. This of course means that he is a polar opposite to his contract holder. Where Etorufuu is speed and precision incarnate his partner Kabetetsu is the staunch defender and muscle of the pair. This preference complimented each other and made their relationship that much more cooperative. The true separation between the pair begins with Kabetetsu’s lack of vicious nature that Etorufuu can sometimes achieve and as such he remains calm and cool headed in combat even when losing a fight. His analytical existence simply persists and overcomes those base emotions and relies on his skill.

Note: A) Do not pay for this with EXP, this requires a mission according the summon rules. As such, I will be requesting that mission once I get this summon approved. B) What country does the Elephant live in?

This isn't an elephant though, this is like a half man half elephant half warhammer.

And toads don't normally wield swords and ferrets don't normally wield scythes larger than their entire body. What's your point?

His point is that this Summon is overpowered as hell. A forty foot tall half elephant, half human summoning that carries a heavily powerful weapon that most likely far exceeds B - Rank capabilities. Forget the hammer though, release this Summoning and you could wreck the bloody battlefield with it. For now, that hammer needs a pretty big downgrade in power.

A) It's a hammer. If you want to argue about the chain links, I could just build it as a flail. And I will should you really require me to but the head is still going to be 500+lbs due to it's size.
B) Gamabunta's roughly twice the size and carries a sword of similar weight
C) My Elephant is within size limits (B ranks get to be up to 50ft)
D) It's a giant hammer for a giant elephant. EVEN if I made it a regular hammer it is still within size/weight ratio for a B rank summon

It is no more human than Gamabunta or any of the other Toads. Yes, he is big but within size ratios. The thing that flips your shit is that it is an elephant. And it's techniques are even more than acceptable. If I sized this down to human terms it would be

War Hammer (Which usually weighs between 30 and 60 lbs (Usually 1/3 or more of the person wielding its weight)
Human (Average height between 5'6-6'9 depending on race and genetic lineage)
And the techniques would still be approvable.

The war hammer makes anything around it pretty much run for its life. Not to mention the fact it can launch itself towards those trying to flee. Gamabunta is chief of teh toadz. He is A-S probably S considering who he is. The size limits are redonkulous my friend. Jesus. On your final point yeah. It is within a B-rank summon. But I'm pretty sure the summon guide needs some changing.

All in all I'd say if this were A-rank It would be okay with me. But at B-rank that thing is meant to kill everything around it that ever had dreams. I'm pretty sure most people would die trying to fight that thing one on one much less with you backing it up. All in all sorry Tyler but Adam and Cookie here have my vote for it being over powered.

Adam never stated it was overpowered. He said he didn't like it being humanoid-ish.

Also, you could make your own summon?

When it comes to the humanoid part, I think that this particular summon is far more personified than it is elephant. It has a large human body with an elephant head. Like to me it's 75% human and 25% elephant. I was envisioning a B-rank war elephant like a version similar to the elephants in the LOTR: The Return of the King. I wouldn't say it's boss level because I know the closer you get to S rank, either the bigger they are or the more flexible they are with their body as terms of being bipedal.

For the record, we all understand that the less human I make it, the larger it actually gets. Right? The measurement to 45ft is if it is standing, so a 45ft elephant on all fours would be...... MASSIVE.

Landing an attack with a 45ft tall elephant would be an impressive feat, they aren't exactly known for their speed.

More reason he is approvable as is? Because he is slow.
