There was a still tranquility about the landscape that encircled the village of Konohagakure no Sato, something sought by many whom did not favour the thronged streets, the bustling markets and the din created by the countless multitudes of crowds. To some, the hive of activity was a wondrous setting. Yet others chose to view it as a hub of pandemonium, such scenes which were best evaded. Saitou Masaki was torn between the two at different times, but in his current state, with the motivation and desire he presently held, it was an undisturbed location he wished to find himself. He did not want the many beady eyes of onlookers cast upon him, nor did he want his concentration to be hindered by the clamours and the distractions of the village. For what he had in mind, he needed to be solitary, and thus he ventured to an unfrequented place. It was rare to find his hometown's streets bereft, and thus it was necessary to take a temporary departure from the enclosing walls. A short walk was all that was required; no lengthy traversal. After all, it wasn't hard to find their lonesome selves when one knew were to look. A light breeze ruffled the already tousled hair of Saitou's; whom happened to be shielded from the harsh, unrelenting sun by a canopy above him. The earthen floor beneath his feet was unyielding due to the lack of rain that the Fire country saw. Gazing around, tearing his eyes from the path he had followed to such a destination, he surveyed his surroundings, happy to be in the presence of nobody but the forest.

Taking his perch atop a tree stump, he relaxed, in no great hurry whatsoever to complete the tasks he had set out to achieve. He had the rest of the day in which to execute his training and strengthen himself, and if he failed to do so, well, there was always tomorrow. Saitou had for once not neglected to think of the road ahead of him, and had in fact brought some nutrition filled snacks incase he went on for longer than expected. The half light that filtered through the shroud of leaves above made the day seem as if it had progressed much further than it had; it looked like the early hours of evening from the youth's perspective, but were he to step outside of the gathering of trees, he'd find it was still early afternoon. A small part of him dreading any exhaustion that may accompany the training lingered in the Chûnin's mind, but he was ready to begin. With a deep inhalation, he rose from his chosen seat, stretching what counted as his muscles before beginning.

Whilst the training he had in mind did not quite involve anything physically wearisome, in fact, it was quite the opposite, Saitou wanted to warm himself up before he commenced his training. Being a Shinobi whom near solely relied on the usage of chakra in the forms of Ninjutsu and Genjutsu, he could never have enough power in his reserves. In his former experiences of combat, he'd found himself tiring quickly. His lack of stamina was something he simply accepted, he was not a physically orientated fighter; however, he knew where his most prominent skills lay and thus wished to develop them further. After all, one could never be of a great enough ability level. Everybody had a maximum capacity of strength determined by the unchangeable events of their birth and development as a child, yet few ever met the limit, and those that did tended to go beyond that. Saitou wished to perceive and discover his own potential. And after simply pondering for a few moments, the youth had decided that he must find his own limit by doing one thing every Shinobi did time and time again; he decided he must train. What better way than to find his boundaries than reaching them through strengthening himself?

Now cross-legged on the uneven ground, Saitou found himself attempting something he had not done for quite a long while. What felt like years ago, he had, alongside a partner whom had aided him, made an effort as to expand his stores of Chakra; he had been successful at the time and had been pleased with the outcome. The difference had certainly been noticeable in the many fights that had come afterward and had been to his benefit on many occasions. However, when he had explored his abilities, he had only been a lowly genin, and with much less experience and skill under his belt; now that he was a respectable Chûnin whom had spent hours every week training for months. Admittedly, that was quite unlike him. He was normally too lazy to bother with such affairs, but he had found a new motivation, a new determination; and he was determined to put it to use.

Back straight, eyes shut yet the lids not clamped together with any particular force, Saitou began the process that had become so familiar to him. Something he was acquainted with to the point it felt as natural as breathing. His hands were held in front of him, clasping each other loosely, not constructing any hand seals.
