| Wanizame was out of breath, his breakneck speed finally catching up to his stamina as he skidded to a stop halfway down the mountain. Unfortunately, the crows were already here and Nigai looked disappointed in the boy.
“Wormchild, it is understood that you are to train here until we feel you have advanced to our satisfaction. But, there will come a time when you will move to the Land of Rain and complete your training with us. Until then, you will be replaced in Kumogakure until we call upon you at that time. You may begin training… now.”
Honestly, he didn’t even have a chance to ask questions as multiple crows surrounding Nigai slowly came together in front of Wanizame to form an exact replica of him. A crow clone was interesting, but would it actually hold up against anything the Kumo genin would throw at it? That question was quickly answered in the form of a kick to the stomach, knocking the remaining breath out of the original and giving a chance for the clone to ascend the peaks Wanizame had just come down. Hands dropping to his hips, wrists simultaneously flick a trio of needles toward’s the clone’s back before an arm wrapped around his throat.
As the Clone above seemed to disintegrate into a flock of crows upon impact of the senbon ,Wanizame manages look over his shoulder and find another clone holding him in a headlock even as the first clone was reforming. Nigai had a nearly endless army of crows, she could keep replacing them faster than Wanizame could destroy them for sure.
“Wormchild, during your training here you will be harassed by these two throughout your studies with me. Be prepared for them both at all times. Though they look like you, they are obviously a bit more fragile… for now… and they are named separately. One is Adam and the other is Beta. Enjoy your time with them, for fighting them is the only relaxing thing you’ll be doing here.”
Feeling the headlock of Adam tighten, the fist that met his stomach must have come from Beta as saliva and a little blood was forced from his mouth. Shifting his attention to fully combat, he can barely hear Nigai demand he start moving seven stones the size of small children up to the next flat expanse in the mountains. Hands came together, one hand sign after the other before sending a great burst of water towards Beta from his mouth to provide the opening he needed to pull hard and bend at the waist to hurl Adam over his shoulder. As soon as the fake boy released him, Wanizame was already sprinting towards the stones and scooping one up in his arms only to be yanked viciously to the ground by his own momentum.
His fingertips were still on the rock, quickly running them over it and finding what he dreaded. A kanji of some kind, probably one to add weight, granted to these special rocks by the kindness of Nigai. From his estimation, each one of the rocks probably weighed about the same amount as a fully grown humanoid. A solid 190 pounds each, all seven of them meant for him to take up the mountain… under attack. Both hands getting a firm grip upon the stone, his feet began the trudge towards the top while the clones gathered themselves again. It was going to be a long night, and Wanizame couldn’t wait for it to be over. |
