Ridori, Mitsu [Yondaime Hokage] RidoriMitsu

RIDORI, MITSU.

THE INFO.

Name: Ridori, Mitsu
Nickname:
  • |Konoha's White Protector ~ Renowned Title|
A name thrust upon Mitsu by those whom praised him greatly and exaggerated his abilities; rarely used by him himself. He deems the usage of such a title egotistical and thus refrains from using it at any point. The name is mostly used in reverence and is not something one would use to address him personally.
  • |Cale ~ Self Proclaimed|
Due to reclusive habits, Mistu has a tendency to enjoy his own company above that of any others. Over time, he developed a name to address himself with, that only he is aware of or uses at any point. The name supposedly means 'bold', which, whilst does not perhaps describe Mitsu precisely, he feels that courage is a value of great importance and strives to achieve it.

Age: 31
Gender: Male Ridori, Mitsu [Yondaime Hokage] 18px-Gender_Male.svg
Appearance: Mitsu is truly quite the imposing figure, something that differs greatly from the truth back in his youth. Standing at just over six feet, he's certainly considered a giant amongst the smaller Shinobi. His once scrawny body has become toned with muscle, despite his lack of skill in physical combat. However, scant eating habits lead him to weigh in on the scales at 170 pounds, despite his frame; whilst he does not care much for the art of taijutsu, he is certainly built well enough to throw a someway decent punch. Proportionally, his body is unremarkable and plain, with each limb seemingly fitting his body in length and none of his physical features distorted or the like. His feet are, however, noticeably smaller than what might be considered the average. His fingers are spindly and agile, a trait gained from hours of useless tinkering and instrument playing, not to mention calloused from the constant usage of his hands in combat, such as the gripping of projectiles like kunai and shuriken.

His hair is wild and untamed, for he has never thought much of the 'pretty boy' whom spends extensive amount of time utilising beauty products in order to gain a physical perfection for the sake of attraction. What used to be a long, scraggy mane has been cut short for both combat and maintenance efficiency; Mitsu now supports a wavy, spiked clump, coloured in a simple dark brown. He has always preferred his hair to that of something more vibrant, such as bright and 'loud' colours, which attract greatly unwanted attention and are quite distinctive. It is much more to his liking to be able to fit in with the crowd, and thus he has never considered modifying his hair. Every once in a while he may attempt to drag a comb through it in order to appear more formal, but the results are always incredibly short term, his hair becoming spiked and wild once more within moments, thus such efforts have become less and less frequent as he has accepted they are futile. Below his hair, Mitsu has rather boyish features. It his perhaps fitting that his facial features appear child-like, as such to match his curious nature. He has a small button nose and a callow smirk set in the stone of his face. Whilst this smirk may give him the appearance of someone joyful and merry, it is simply a ruse, a mouth shape saved to his memory to make him appear more sociable than he is in reality. His brown doe eyes are bright with interest and seemingly narrowed with determination, as if they were that of an ambitious youth. His chin is reasonably rounded and clean shaven, one of the few things which Mitsu takes care of in order to ensure no stubble is present. Because of such features, he is often mistaken to be much younger than thirty, some might even think him in his early twenties.

As for garments, Mitsu prefers to don the traditional garb of a Konohagakure Shinobi when on duty, which, with the demanding life as a Hokage, is dominant in his schedule. A black vest sits on the lowest layer, the neck extending upward to prove a neck warmer when required; above this, the usual flak jacket, an essential piece of attire for all those Shinobi whom are of senior ranks such as Chûnin and Jônin. It has all the usual features bar the shoulder pauldrons; three scroll pouches either side of the zipper running down the middle, and the crest of the land of whirlpools, Uzu no Kuni, is embodied on the back, a symbol of the two village's age old alliance. Below this, slightly baggy, plain, black trousers can be found encompassing his legs; bandages adorn each shin, wound tightly around each leg and moving downward towards his ankles. These are in place as to make sure the lower body garments do not hinder his movements or become snagged on branches and the like. Located higher up the right leg, secured with bandages, a pouch filled with equipment sits. It is situated here to due his right handedness, and thus can be accessed quickly in order to withdraw the dangers that lurk within. The soles that his feet rest on are that of the ordinary Shinobi sandals, offering manoeuvrability and lightweight shoes, however, they go against the grain in that they are black, rather than the traditional blue. Wound around his triceps are another small cluster of bandages, and below them another pair, leading from his forearms down to the beginnings of each of his fingers. Also covering his hand are simple Shinobi style gloves, yet they do not have the protective metal plate commonly seen on them; Mitsu finds the weight of these unnecessary as he does not tend to engage in close combat where they are required. To top off this perhaps 'normal' Shinobi attire is something a little more unique to him and distinctive; marking him as Hokage, he wears a long cloak, sleeveless and with an upturned collar. The outside is a flawless black, the hem however, is sprinkled with green ovular shapes, supposedly intended to represent the leaves of the village, each leaf a Shinobi of Konohagakure no Sato. It is a long and sweeping garment, going below his knees and extending toward his neck. The inner layer is a plain white, unremarkable from all perspectives; the entire cloak is formed of silk, not by personal preference but by order of his tailor.

When attending more formal occasions that require him to appear as Kage-like as possible, Mitsu is forced to don the hat worn by all Hokage, an oddly shaped piece of headwear bearing the symbol of the land of fire at the front. He detests it, yet he is in no place to argue against wearing the hat, what with it having been passed down by tradition from one Hokage to another. A more personal aspect of his clothing is a long scarf, simply green in colour. Not a lime green or such, nor a particularly dark green; it is made of imported wool and quite comfortable, more so than what he is normally made to wear. If it were to his personal preference, Mitsu would wear simple black chinos and a shirt, nothing unique or distinctive, plain as the everyday wear of another citizen, the kind of clothing that would never attract a second glance or an odd look.

Forehead Protector: On casual occasions, the signature headband of Konohagakure can be found wrapped tightly around Mitsu's right wrist; however, when attending formal occurrences, he will readjust it around his forehead, the more traditional style of donning the garment.
Personality: Mitsu is certainly an odd one. When meeting him, what one will nearly immediately notice is a large absence of skill when dealing with social situations. He has the ability to speak his mind regardless of what some may think of him, because he fails to realise what is deemed socially unacceptable; the consequences of this tend to be quite extensive. Even when attempting to be friendly, he has an awful habit of offending people by simply saying what he truly thinks. This brutal honesty causes Mitsu to stand alone more often that not. The occasional few view this as a good trait in him, but most tend to feel insulted, and rightfully so. Whilst it his never his intention, he's really quite good at utilising derogatory terms to degrade people. Perhaps not a very sought after characteristic, but Mitsu's lack of interaction during his younger years have caused him to be, put simply, socially inept and incapable.

Over years of self induced isolation in order to escape the outside world he so feared, Mitsu developed an iron skin toward others. He sprouted a nonchalant attitude towards everybody, which eventually made him able to go back into the world once more. Years of living as a recluse, however, had not left him unmarked. As a child, his mind was energetic and bright, as any young person's should be. Overtime, this attitude was diminished by the harsh reality of the real world; however, when he escaped this reality and withdrew to his solitary confinement, Mitsu was able to escape realism. The normal laws of reasonable logic dispersed, and he was able to use his mind as freely as he wished. When he finally lead his life back into the light of day, he had an enthusiasm like no other. The limits normally implanted upon one's creativity do not hinder his mind; he is quite like a child in many respects, causing many people to see him as perhaps a bit mad, or deluded. He possess an endless fascination with the world and its workings, and seemingly boundless energy. Sleep is viewed as a past time of the lazy by Mitsu; when given the opportunity, he will spend his time with one random obsession, which will change as quickly as it came.

Company's something he's never been overly fond of. He believes that when two people meet, the laws of social etiquette become a barrier that restrict and shackle people. Hence he may act in ways scrutinised by many; the actions he commits are either viewed as extraordinary of insane; the only restriction he has ever felt is that of morality. Whilst greatly intrigued by the universe, he dislikes ruling out any possibilities based on blind faith, and is thus neither atheistic or religious; this is something that can be observed when examining his decisions. When he must make a choice, say, on the field of battle, Mitsu dislikes having to act based on pure decisiveness. Of course, he is well aware that on many an occasion, leaders must go with their gut instinct; he attempts to calculate as much as possible and make his decisions based on whatever information he has, however meagre.

Whilst he has such a low opinion of company, friendship is something he values largely. Not just for the warm fuzzy feeling it gives him; he doesn't hesitate to call upon a favour, and takes any debts he may owe quite seriously. It is hard to form friendships, or any positive relationships, with an attitude like his, so Mitsu views the few he does share the occasional conversation with as part of his inner circle. Yet even to those he does deem close to him, he will rarely go out of his way to spend time with them. He enjoys being as productive as he can make himself, immersing his mind deep into a problem, or whatever new hobby has taken his fancy.

As for his love life, well, Mitsu is hardly the charming gentleman nor a 'player'. In fact, the short ventures as to which he has made into the fine art of relationships tend to be quite rocky and never ending on particularly good terms. This may perhaps be due to the fact that women do not take kindly to having to listening to a babbling oddball point out their many flaws. Indeed, that has earned him quite a few slaps to the face in his past endeavours. Yet this lack of success rarely puts him down. He does not care for beauty nor the idea of marriage for personal gains and power; few people manage to obtain his interest. Being someone whom is fascinated with what he has yet to understand, Mitsu is most attracted to the weird and wonderful. His taste differs greatly from the average man's, yet he has yet to meet anyone whom has managed to hold his interest. Even when simply making friends with strangers, if they aren't intriguing, do not possess the virtues he supports or have any of the vices he despises, he will not further his relationship with him. He is rather picky. Because of this, the pool filled with people as to which he would happily spend time with is very small, as he likes it. This pickiness is present in nearly everything Mitsu does. From eating to relationships, if anything has one bad quality, he will be quick to render it useless and have nothing to do with it.

The manner in which he conducts himself is quite childlike, yet when the situation requires it, even he can become serious; when he becomes immersed in something such as combat, he will attempt to shut out the numerous thoughts of his wandering mind and solely focus on what he is doing. Such a task is quite difficult for him, as it happens. Whilst he is determined to an extreme level, propelled by a desire to obtain knowledge of the world and its workings, he is quite easily distracted. His hyperactive mind can have its concentration stolen by nearly anything. However, his ambition to always be learning has pushed his skills forward, and has helped him develop greatly over the years in many ways.

One notable characteristic of Mitsu is a great amount of resolve and will power. His past experiences interacting with other people left him generally scared of the world outside and those whom resided inside it. However, when he finally came to the resolution that the thoughts and opinions of others did not matter to him, he found himself wanting to display his talent, and thus began to strengthen himself like never before. The harsh words of others went to kindle a determination inside him, and helped build a slightly insane yet wondrous and curious mind. If he were to reflect on his past life, he would be grateful towards those whom had made him go through the stages of self loathing and fear of what awaited him on his doorstep. He feels that what he endured helped him build himself properly, and doubts that without the actions of others, he would have ever ascended to his current level.

Combat Style: Unsurprisingly, Mitsu prefers to operate alone in combat. Communication is a skill that he notably lacks, and thus when attempting to team up with a partner or team, finds himself failing to function at maximum effectiveness. A lack of understanding about the abilities of his fellow comrades renders him a bit of a lone wolf when it comes to battle. He prefers to engage his opponent from a distance and observe them; he has an eye for detail and will attempt to pick up whatever information he can whilst remaining concealed. When he launches an assault, Mitsu prefers not to throw himself head on in a challenge of pure strength, but rather gradually wear out his opponent. It would be fair to say he is a cautious fighter. He rarely exposes himself and does not take many risks, due to uncertainties being something he cannot handle. Mitsu is not an instinctive or physical fighter; he likes to plan his movements carefully before going into action and thus fast combat is not his forté. One could say he is cunning in that he will formulate the best way in which he can succeed and attempt to find the easiest way to dispatch his foe; he fights with cold indifference and efficiency and is analytical when immersed in combat.

He uses genjutsu in order to toy with his opponent, before properly striking and eliminating them. Mercy is a concept he does not understand, Mitsu will strive to complete his mission and dispatch whom ever he deems a nuisance without hesitation. Some may call him a cold blooded killer for this, but it is more the acceptance that, in order for him to protect his village and strive toward peace, sacrifices must be made. The child like side of him often encourages him to be reckless in battle, and he has a part of him that hungers for heroics. Yet he tends to be calm and composed in battle, as, after seeing his siblings being taken by careless mistakes, he is aware that being in the correct state of mind can be the difference between a triumphant victory or a pitiful defeat.
