Why exactly aren't canon characters allowed? I think it would bring more members. I think that we should be allowed to, as long as we aren't using any jutsu on the banned jutsu list.

Aside from the various reasons that I'm sure the staff will supply, I have always had an large dislike concerning canon characters. For the reason that no one, regardless of how much you have intently studied the manga/anime will ever know a character inside and out. No one knows how they operate under every situation, how they think, and etc. I feel that it is a little rude toward the creator of Naruto, considering that he put a lot of work into each character and to have them unaccountably and falsely portrayed off as someone else it would be rather unfair and an insult to his imagination.

Cannon characters are OP, so I agree with them not being on here. I don't agree with some of the clans that are allowed because of their OPness.... The point is, they are OP XP

For both of those reasons, Cannon characters are not allowed.

One of the main purposes, however, was so that we do not have to follow the story line or setup of naruto entirely. Since we don't delve into cannon inclusion, we have more artistic freedom, and less red tape =)
