Yeah, I'm back. For the millionth time. To be honest, I missed y'all. I did come on once or twice as a guest and just kinda stared at my computer like, "Well... This looks like fun." But I have been busy.

Over the summer, I had summer school and was always playing xbox. But recently, reality smacked me in the face with a baseball bat. I realised that i'm 15, next year i'll be looking for a job and when I'm 18 I am defo moving out, and am actually going to a different state - Nevada, to be exact. I'm going to school there for graphic design, probably one in Reno.

But anyway, xbox isn't going to the help me get better at graphics. So I am practicing now.

And for those that are saying, "Dafuq is this? We're not a graphic design forum, we are a roleplay forum. GTFO." I decided that while I am on my computer, I might as well attempt to start role playing again. 'Cause guess what - i'm also writing a book! And what better way to shape up on my grammar and writing skills then role playing on US? <3

Welcome back to US Britt! It's been quite a while, we've all missed you. I'm pretty sure last we spoke of graphics you were using GIMP, if you still are you may want to go check out GimpKnowHow's channel on YouTube, it was a lot of help for me when I was still learning commonly used techniques. Oh also, a book? :O What's it about?

I've upgraded to Photoshop now, so my graphics are better[?]. ^-^

And the book is about a teenage boy who discovers some demonic powers that were given to him from his mother via birth. Just so happens his father has an organization that was designed to get whoever held the power and use them as a 'doll' to get what they want. If the wielder showed resistance, they would be killed. There are only 3 people that can wield the power in the universe at one given time. His mother was able to push on the power to her son, and there are 2 more somewhere in the world. So he pretty much has to survive high school, his father and the unnamed organization.

I actually have 3 chapters of it on US. Right here. Since it is only the 1st three chapters, it doesn't have that much detail. I also went back to my original copy that is hand written and changed some of it. Smile

Having PS doesn't necessarily mean your GFX are going to be better. Plugins and scripts make GIMP just as powerful of a program as Photoshop, if not more powerful with a much less steep learning curve in my opinion. That and PS brushes work in GIMP, but I'm pretty sure GIMP brushes aren't compatible with PS. So you wouldn't be able to use brush sets that are specifically made for GIMP. Those are just a couple of the reasons why when anyone tells me they actually bought PS, you can bet that they get an extremely annoyed and over-dramatic eye roll. Mhm.

As for the book, definitely sounds interesting. I'll have to check out those chapters when I've got a minute to give it my full attention.
