Simply for the title:
Travelling. Kimiko was used to it by now, but that didn't mean she particularly liked it. It meant being away from Konohagakure, her family, her friends and her boyfriend much more than she wanted. But alas, a shinobi's duty existed elsewhere in the world as well as in their village's walls. This mission would take quite a while, perhaps the good parts of a week, and she had prepared as such. She had sent her pet falcon, Susu, to live with her father while she was away, and he would be used for communication if needed. Her rucksack had been packed heavily with food to cook, practical changes of clothes to wear, extra weapons, a radio ear piece and numerous other little gadgets that she would need. She paused while she was walking to look back at the village gates with a small smile, before turning round again and walking straight ahead down the path. She was headed for the Tea Country, somewhere that she not yet been before. As such she was somewhat excited to get there to see what it was like, in a way. Always look on the bright side, after all.
To accommodate travelling, she had chosen to wear sensible, comfortable and practical clothing. She wore a dark red kimono-style shirt with short sleeves, flower patterns trailing on the front and down the back, a short black skirt with a pair of white shorts underneath, fishnet sleeves that (partially) covered her upper arms down to just over her elbows, bandages tied around her knees and wrapped tightly around the shin-high dark green shinobi sandals, and her Konohagakure headband was tied around her upper right thigh. Her long jet black hair had been left down, as it usually was when combat wasn't imminent. She had her usual two hip bags containing weapons criss-crossing over her lower back, and the rather new addition of the red strap around her waist with her trusted fan contained in its rosewood case. It would usually be strapped over her back, but thanks to the adjustable strap and not thanks to the large rucksack on her back, she could change the way it was carried to around her waist. The rucksack she was carrying wasn't anything remarkable, it was large and dark brown with patches she had sewed back on or added to the bag completely. Clips held down the necessary flaps so that nothing fell out of the bag in its many pockets, and on the top a large black tie kept it shut.
So... she was ready. She was primed. She wanted to get this mission done, do her part for the village, and get back to the people that she cared about. In the mean time she kept her mind on the fact that she was protecting them while she was on this mission, stopping an uprising by civilian (but undoubtedly powerful) groups of people in the model agency. That's right. That's what she would keep thinking. With that, she strode out with a determined look set on her face, ready for whatever was ahead of her in the Tea Country
