Looking over the top of the boulder that sheltered the camp he and his genin had set up the evening before, Toshiro swore softly but with the sort of proficiency that would do a sailor proud as he put down his field glasses. It had been a stretch but he really had hoped that the tunnel and well he had made his prior entrance were still intact. No such luck however as, thanks to being considerably higher than his last camp, he could see that the well had been filled in with rubble from the old stable next to it to make what looked like a training yard. There went his half-formed plan of entering the same way he had before. Plus there was the little matter that whoever had taken over the bandit’s had managed to gather even more of the scum of humanity to their cause (whatever that was). On his first visit the entire contingent had fit into the fort with a little room to spare. Now the various shelters had spilled out from the gates to cover the entire hillside right down to the base of the hill the fort squatted on. So now not only would they have to find a new way into the fortress but it would have to a route through several hundred meters of bandit-infested tents and lean-tos.
With a final glance at the fortress the chuunin rolled onto his back and slide below the top of the boulder as he put aside the problems of the fort itself for now. Looking at the campsite hidden behind the boulder he had been lying on; he hoped his genin were about finished with their turn at the camp chores. To be exact he had sent Matsunaka to gather deadwood for the fire and assigned Rin to refill their supply of water and see if there was any decent fresh meat to be caught in the area. Toshiro had already been about his task (cooking breakfast and checking the various traps he had built around the camp last night) before the genin had woken up. Thinking about what his students were doing brought the chuunin back to his main problem. Just how was he going to do this with two genin in tow and still make it look like an accident while making it devastating enough to prevent the bandits from reorganizing yet again? Even with all the extra training, including basic infiltration tactics, he had put hit genin this mission was going to require a great deal of improvisation to succeed.

After waiting for his two genin to come back from their camp chores for nearly two hours, Toshiro was starting to get seriously... annoyed. Something that boded ill for the pair since an annoyed white-haired chuunin was a white-haired chuunin likely to come up with creative and utterly sadistic methods of punishing them. So far he had already decided that if they didn't show up in the next 10 minutes part of the unholy fury they would experience would the "D-ranks of Doom" such as babysitting the biggest brats in the village, cleaning out the sewers of trash, and mucking out the stables of some of the larger inns in the village. Some teachers would have worried that the reason their students had failed to return in a timely manners was that they had run into trouble they couldn't handle. Toshiro wasn't one of those however - not that he thought his pair wouldn't get into trouble. No, he expected them to get into trouble - but he knew that if they did get in over their heads he would have heard about it. Neither of them were exactly masters of the subtle nor quite fight so he knew if they got into any real fights he would have heard the explosions by now. Checking his watch again the irate young man scowl became even more pronounced - he had been coming up "creative" ways to teach his genin a lesson for not showing up for fifteen minutes and they still hadn't come back. Oh yes he was going to punish them for this and it would start as soon as they got back to Konoha. In the meantime he would let them know he was annoyed but let them sweat about what he was going to do for their punishment.
With a final shrug at the well-concealed camp, Toshiro picked up the field glasses he had been cleaning along with a blanket to which he had tied numerous pieces of canvas and local vegetation before walking into a small washout that was deep enough to provide some cover. Then he crouched and crawled for nearly half an hour before coming to a shallow part where a few hardy bushes that still had most of their leaves would offer some cover. Lying on his belly the chuunin pulled the blanket over his head and upper body then crawled forward into the bushes until he could just see through the bushes. Then he took out his field glasses and began yet another mind-numbing and nerve-wrack surveillance of the fort below to try to come up with something that could form the basis for a plan to infiltrate the fort. It would be nearly three hours and numerous scraps and pokes thanks to the thorns hidden among the leaves that he found that something. On his last trip he had ruled out scaling the lone intact stone tower because whoever had lead the bandits had boarded the windows shut - no doubt to keep people like Toshiro from gaining access to the walls through them. This time whoever had taken over the bandits just might have gotten lax. Maybe because they assumed the "wall" of shelters around the fort would keep intruders at bay, but for whatever reason he could see that the windows were now protected only by shutters and a few bars. For someone like Toshiro that was as good as putting out a welcome mat and handing him the keys to the back door.
Finding a route up to that wall to scale it was actually a simple matter. The area right in front of the tower was clearly an unpopular place to set up ones home as the scant half-dozen squalid (even by the standards of bandit camps) shelters could attest to. No doubt because the bandits had turned that area into their outdoor latrine with numerous small trenches and incredibly crude structures that were hardly worth calling "out houses". While it the route to and from the tower would literally stink, it was the best available way in Toshiro could see. Another half hour or so of surveillance gave him a rough idea for his plan after which the Hidden Leaf chuunin slipped back into the gulley and again crawled and crouched his way back to the camp. If his genin had finally decided to show up great, otherwise he would give them until one o'clock then he would go hunt them down. And woe betide the pair if the didn't have VERY good reasons for not showing up on time.

Watching the sun set into the western and open side of the valley that housed the bandits fort Toshiro wondered just what deities were laughing at the twisted luck that had dogged "Bravo Cell" on this mission. True to his plan he had given his genin until one o'clock the day before and when neither of them or their companions/ pets had shown up he had gone looking. It was what he had found that had him ready to chew steel and spit molten metal. Apparently Rin had somehow tripped and taken a tumble into the stream he had been supposed to fetch the water from. Not a serious problem except for the fact that his genin had not only broken his arm somehow but sustained an impact to the head sufficient to knock him out. It was pure luck he hadn't drowned instead of washing up along a bank face-up and even luckier that his cat had caterwauled enough that Toshiro had been able to find the pair. He had managed to splint the arm and half-carry/ half-drag his smaller student back to the camp (the cat following behind) and deposit the genin on his bedroll then set off to find his other student when a loud growling had made him spin around with his katana partially drawn. Spotting the source of that growl had been easy and recognizing it was easier - large panthers not being exactly common to this part of the world. Especially panthers who were dragging on salt-and-pepper genin who looked as if he had gone a dozen (losing) round with a cheese grater. If the chuunin had to hazard a guess based on the wounds he had treated after the panther rather unceremoniously dropped its burden on his bedroll, Matsunaka had somehow fallen and ended having his day literally go downhill - no doubt hitting every sharp rock along the way. Thankfully the bone-user hadn't broken any bones but he was seriously cut up and from the way his eyes hadn't completely focused when Toshiro had pried the lids up to check he probably had a concussion.
In either case it was clear that they needed more medical help that their sensei could provide so Toshiro had postponed the mission and set about doing what he could to stabilize his two genin before finding help. It had taken the white-haired chuunin the better part of that day to use what first aid he knew to get them ready and most of the rest to rig an improvised stretcher so he could carry both of them. Then he, Matsunaka's panther, his summon Tonbi, and a water clone had spent this morning moving to the two genin to the closest town that had a doctor. It was pure luck (of the good kind for once) that the doctor had recognized Toshiro from his earlier mission and hustled the group into his office before shutting the door. After doing a proper job of setting Rin's arm and stitching Matsunaka's lacerations closed the doctor had broken the bad news to the genin's sensei. While they wouldn't have long-term problems both genin would be unfit for duty for the immediate future unless a friendly medic-nin happened to wander into the village and that was highly unlikely. Thankfully the doctor had offered to hide the pair in the recovery room of his clinic/ home along with their feline companions and Tonbi who was charged with protecting them. Having done the best he could for his students, Toshiro had only stayed a few hours in the building before heading back to complete the teams mission.
So here he was at their camp again putting the final touches on his plan to arrange a very 'messy' accident for the leadership of the bandits. Based on what he had gleaned from of surveillance, his past mission, and the doctor who had been forced to treat injured bandits at times he knew that they were occupying the building that had housed the mess hall-slash-tavern on his last trip. Fortunately the doctor had figured out the ninja's reason for being there and been more than happy to offer his assistance. Looking up from strapping yet another quartet of kunai to his person, Toshiro flashed a grin loaded with pure malice at the aid the civilian doctor had provided. One bottle of sake dropped with powerful sedatives and muscle relaxants, three syringes holding a guaranteed overdose of an anesthetic induction agent, and another bottle filled with pure alcohol doped with kerosene. According to the doctor the current bandit leader was a heavy drinker and chronic smoke who always shared a bottle with his two lieutenants every night. All Toshiro had to do was replace that bottle with the doped one and once the drugged sake had rendered the three completely insensate it would be a simple matter of jabbing each of them in the jugular vein (that being one of the largest and easiest to find in the body) to inject them with the overdose. The result of which would be the rapid shutting down the brain and heart that would leave only a tiny needle prick. Then he would splash the body and room with the highly flammable before setting it alight to burn the entire place. According to the doctor after that unless whoever examined the bodies was a medic-nin the conclusion would be inevitably be an accidental death.
[OOC: No reply from Exiled or Mr.Blobfish to PMs so I'm going to write them out. Also note - jabbing a needle into the jugular does NOT produce a fountain of blood. I use that vessel every day to draw blood and it's cleaner than using one from the legs or wings.]

Watching the shadow of the tower he intended to scale lengthen as the sun set behind the fort, Toshiro wished for the hundredth time he had included some sort of gas mask in his kit. True to his prediction it had been easy to slip past the few shelters in front of the tower since the smell of the outdoor latrines kept everyone with a working nose far away. Even the few bandits who had set up their shelters in that field hadn't been a problem - between the growing shadows cast by untidy mounds of dirt from the refuse pits and the "locals" own drunken states (ranging from barely-coherent to passed out) not a soul had noticed the chuunin or so it seemed. He just wished that the smell wasn't so bad! Even the clothes pin he had "liberated" from some bandits wash line to put on his nose wasn't helping much; Toshiro could swear that that he could taste the stench of the place with each gulp of air. Still he had pressed on until he reached this little clump of scrub and tall grass only a half dozen steps from the tower. Now he was just waiting for the sun to finish setting completely before scaling it to the first available window where he would make his entrance.
That time came within a few minutes as the shadow of the tower was swallowed up by the greater darkness of nightfall. When the tower he would be climbing was in its deepest shadow Toshiro made his move - hitting the sentry on top with a fast genjutsu then dashing from his cover to the wall while they were looking the other way. There, thanks to the miracles of chakra, he quickly ran up the wall while hunched over and in just a few seconds he was just to the side of the shuttered window he had selected as his entrance point. Carefully bracing his feet in the narrow sill he began to work on the getting the shutters open. That small act proved quite easy - a piece of steel the thickness of a playing card put between the shutters and moved upwards ever so slowly had easily lifted the simple latch. For several seconds afterwards he had listened for any sounds of occupancy of whatever room was on the other side before opening the shutters and looking in, one hand holding a kunai ready to end the life of anyone on the other side. A precaution that proved unnecessary - the room was filled with racks of spears and both bows and crossbows along with barrels of quarrels and arrows but not a single person breathed that he could see. Apparently this room was the "armory" for the bandits in case of a siege - something so unlikely (as any real army would simply obliterate the rabble) that the bandits hadn't bothered to guard it.
Yet another indication that whoever had assumed leadership of this band they weren't as adept (or paranoid) as the one he had eliminated before. Not that Toshiro wasn't happy that his opponent was sloppy as he moved into the room, cutting the flow of chakra to his feet as he did so and carefully moved towards the door that would lead to walkway on the palisade. The whole time one ear was listening to the staircase that lead up and down for anyone but he heard no one. Not even when he cautiously opened the door and stepped onto the shadow-shrouded walkway that was bare of sentries. Yet another oversight that (now that he was alone) made this mission so much easier. If he had known the bandit leader was going to be this careless he wouldn't have worried so much - other than needing to make the death look like an accident this was shaping up to be easier than one of the training exercises he put his genin through.

Having gained access to the bandit's fort and finding the walkway empty Toshiro moved with as much stealth as he had used when getting revenge on his siblings years ago. Stealth that was sufficient to carry him to a point where the walkway was reasonable (for a ninja anyway) close to the building he had guessed again housed the bandit chief. Crouched against the palisade the chuunin could hear the sounds of obvious occupation inside. Early in the day he had ruled gaining entrance (again) through the chimneys - wisps of smoke saying that doing so would just get him burned. So now he was looking for an alternative way in - preferably one that would let him avoid having to go through what sounded to still be some sort of mess hall.
Looking across at the buildings second story he thought about the direct route - either going through a window or the thatching of the roof. Both of those options were soon ruled out though - not only were there still bars on the windows but lights inside pointed to occupants who would surely object to an uninvited guest. He considered the ground floor windows but those were also ruled out - because there wasn't any he could see. Maybe on the side facing the yard but that was just asking to be spotted and the alarm sounded. That look for a ground floor window did however provide one potential route - the cellar. The only problem was that there was actually someone in front of the cellar door. Two people in fact and from what he could see they were very... involved with each other. Normally that wouldn't be a problem since he doubted they would notice anything short of an elephant walking past, but someone had actually locked the door and if he had to break it they would certainly spot him. Removing them wouldn't be a problem - given how focused they were on each other it was absurd to think they would even notice him in the handful of seconds it would take to slit both their throats before dragging their bodies into the cellar to be destroyed by fire along with the rest of the building. The chuunin had even gone as far as slipping a kunai halfway out of its holster in preparation as the pair began to reach a peak in their frenzied rutting. For what seemed an eternity the white-haired grim reaper was an unwilling spectator to the coupling below whose participants were unaware that their next few seconds could very well be their last.
Once again though Toshiro found his hand just a bit reluctant to completely unsheathe the kunai as he imagined what Kimiko would think about his plotting the murder of convenience of a young couple. The pair would probably never be aware but they owed their lives from that point on to one raven-haired young lady and the changes she had wrought in a shinobi's heart. With a silent sigh the kunai was returned to it's sheathe and the ninja settled in to wait for the couple to finish their business - hopefully after which they would move away and he could go about his own activities. Eventually, and with many a scream and more that had Toshiro fervently wishing he had brought earplugs, the pair finished their rutting. However instead of being nice little bandits and going somewhere else they just fell asleep right there. Giving the pair one final glare the white-haired ninja rolled off the walkway and landed silently on all fours like his genin's felines companions would then silently padded to the locked cellar door to size up the barrier it would pose. Upon a closer examination he found himself shooting another glare at the pair soundly sleeping maybe two yards away. While the door itself was rotted enough that a single kick would splinter it, the fittings and padlock looked to be more rust than cast iron. It would be a miracle if the proper key could open that thing and doing so would have to be loud enough to wake the dead. Now he was going to have to chance that the noise of breaking the lock or opening the door would wake either of the lovers. 'Oh well, here is hoping luck is on my side otherwise this is going to get messy.' With that though Toshiro removed one of the thicker steel rods from the collection of breaking & entering tools he habitually carried on missions, slipped it through the rusted loop, and shoved with his full strength and weight.
True to Toshiro's estimate the iron was indeed almost completely rusted through making it comparatively easy to break the latch. It also, again as he had expected, broke with a snap that seemed impossibly loud to the chuunin's ears. That loud snap had him spinning around with his right hand having two kunai halfway unsheathed before he realized that neither of the lovers behind him looked to have so much as stirred at the noise. Exhaling a silent sigh the Leaf-nin slipped the kunai back into their sheathes (save for the one he was holding between his teeth) before carefully opening the door. Fortunately it seemed that luck had intervened and despite the amount of rust on the hinges the door opened without making an undue amount of noise and neither of his unwanted companions so much as stirring. Once there was enough room to squeeze inside Toshiro did just that and carefully shut the door behind him. From that point there could be no more mercy like he had shown the pair above. Anyone who saw him would have to die. Not only because they could place his own life & mission at risk but any survivors how saw an intruder and talked would inevitably lead to suspicions about shinobi being hired and reprisals against the population.

Taking the time to let his eyes adjust to the near-total darkness of the cellar before moving carefully down the stone steps, Toshiro noted that it looked like he had ended up in the same room as he had on his last trip. Only this time he came out into the room itself between two rakes that held various bottles - no doubt filled with different alcoholic drinks ranging from the ultra-cheap to the very expensive. There were also the same haphazardly arranged barrels on the floor and larger hogsheads against one of the walls. He could even, barely, hear the sounds of people having a good time through the lone door whose gap at the bottom let in the only light to relieve the room's darkness. Based on his past experience the chuunin knew that if he could get out that door and through the kitchen without being noticed the stairs to room that the bandit leader would be occupying was just a short flight of stairs aware. The problems would be getting out of the room without arousing suspicion and swapping the bandit leader's bottle of sake with the doped one he had strapped to his lower back in place of his larger scroll.
It was as he pondered that problem that he had the sounds of someone opening starting to open the door from the other side. Since being caught would be seriously problematic Toshiro quickly ducked behind one of the racks of bottles. Just in time too as the amount of light in the room rapidly increased as the door was opened and (based on what he could see through some unfilled gaps in the rack) what looked like a rather skinny individual in an apron entered the room holding a lantern and tray. Hearing the slight "thunk" of the door being closed the chuunin pulled back a bit more as the skinny individual began to approach one of the racks to the left of where the ninja was hiding. As he did so, the bandit-turned-cook (based on the apron he wore at least) could be heard muttering something. As he got closer that muttering became more distinct and soon enough some rather important information reached the Konoha assassin's ears. "Pox-ridden jackass. Why can't he get his own sake instead of having it delivered to his room?"
Listening to the man grip about his leader's habits, Toshiro couldn't keep the grin off his face. Here was the answer to his problem - all he needed to do was take the fellows place and he could literally hand the doped sake to the bandit leader himself then find some excuse (or make one) to stay nearby finish the job. All that was required would be to persuade this fellow to take a break from working so hard. Careful to not make a sound the chuunin slipped a kunai, like the rest painted a flat back to prevent reflected light from giving away it's wielders position, from it's sheathe and into his hand. Taking advantage of the little matter of the cooks being completely unaware that a trained and experienced murderer was in the room with him, Toshiro silently padded around the rack and came up behind the man who was reaching up to pull a bottle of sake from its resting place. Then he pounced with all the cold mercy of death. His left arm shoot under the bandit's left arm and slammed his jaw shut as fingers pinched the nostrils closed for grip. Simultaneously the chuunin's left leg hooked his victim's and yanked it to the side - unbalancing the surprised man and leaving him in a very bad spot for any chance of escape. Confused and disorientated he never noticed the kunai that slammed between his scapula and collar bone to severe both the vein and artery that resided in that location. Of all the points for fatal attack that was one of Toshiro's favorites since, while it didn't assure that the victim couldn't scream like a stab through the jugular and carotid that ended up cutting the trachea would, this one was just as fatal given time and would keep the majority of the blood in the body. Something that other ninja all too often overlooked when it came to hiding a corpse - a blood trail was still a trail. Speaking of which...
Feeling the futile attempts of the bandit he had surprised to escape stop, Toshiro carefully gave the kunai a twist and jerk to make sure that his victim wasn't playing possum. When that didn't elicit any reaction the Konoha-nin carefully lowered the body to the ground and rested it against the wine rack so it wouldn't tip and cause the blood that had stayed inside from spilling out. That done he reached up and took down the bottle the man had been reaching for when Toshiro had blindsided him, having to reign in the urge to whistle at what he saw. Even someone who didn't drink (the last time being when the thought he had lost Kimiko for good) would be able to recognize "Golden Rice Country Sake" as very high-class stuff. Which made what the white-haired ninja did next even more appalling to drinkers everywhere - he broke the seal on the bottle and poured its contents over the corpse before refilling it with the doped sake he had brought with him. Then he put the empty bottle under the dead man's hand and hastily rewrapped the seal around the bottle. That done a quick henge and in place of an assassin from Konoha was the man who just minutes ago had been planning on enjoying a little drinking of his own before his plans were permanently derailed. Disguise in place the chuunin put the bottle of potent sake onto the tray alongside the saucers and the lantern the man brought with him then picked that up with one hand and headed for the door that lead into what he knew to be the kitchen.
Stopping at the door just long to "set" himself into his role of the grouchy cook pressed into being a waiter, Toshiro opened the door and stepped out - already muttering some of the vilest curses he knew as he walked up the stairs. Thankfully it appeared that the lax security that had gotten him inside before was the rule instead of the norm - no guards had been posted in the stairs and as the henged chuunin came into site of the door he suspected held his targets he could see that no one had posted any at the door. He did have to fight down the urge to chuckle at the braided hemp mat someone had thoughtfully put in front of the door to what was the bathroom. No doubt to prevent the sort of "sad accident" that had claimed their previous leader. 'Like that would have helped. If only they knew just how he really met his end.' The urge to laugh at the bandits efforts at "safety" under control the chuunin finished closing the distance to the door and knocked in the gruffest manner he could. It was just a guess but he figured if whoever lead the bandits was conceited enough to expect to have his evening drink delivered they would also expect the "waiter" to knock first. An assumption that proved correct when he heard a shouted "about time" and "get in here" from inside. At that point Toshiro opened the door and rather anti-climatically walked in for the first time.
To say the room was gaudy would have been a major understatement. Having grown up in a wealthy clan, and thanks to a little luck wealthy in his own right, Toshiro understood the difference between valuable and expensive but ugly as hell. This room was full of the later from the king-sized bed with tasteless gilding and red sheets to the expensive white oak table that might have been handsomely simply until some moron had ruined it by carving the legs into the ugliest dragons the chuunin had seen. What really made him want to retch was that human occupants. Three men seated around that 'offense to all woodworkers everywhere' table, each of them looking like the stereotypical bandit. Even worse was the over-blown floozies in clothes that left precious little to the imagination and wore more makeup than an entire acting troupe. In his years he had seen his sisters in some risqué clothing but they at least knew how to look good. These... tramps might as well have been naked but all Toshiro felt was the urge to gag. Right then he felt a surge of gratitude that he had met his girlfriend when he had - otherwise he might have ended up with something like that. Having to fight down the urge to just whip out kunai with an explosive tag right there and blow the lot of them to bloody chunks, the chuunin angrily stomped up to the table and almost slammed the tray down before turning around and stalking out the door muttering some seriously vicious courses as the six merry-makers cracked jokes at "Daisuke's" expense. Shutting the door behind him, Toshiro checked to see if the coast was clear (which it was) before running through a few hand seals. The 'Hidden Leaf Clone', appearing identical to the henged chuunin, nodded and set off back down the steps back towards the cellar room where it would shut the door and disperse to create the illusion that this "Daisuke" that chuunin was henged into had gone off to drown his frustrations in drink.
Alibi to delay any suspicion in place, Toshiro dropped his henge and jumped up to the low beams that supported the ceiling then sticking his feet to the roof itself with chakra at a point where he could still hear the sounds from inside the room. From this point it was a waiting game to see if the bandit leaders and their floozies passed out or the body in the cellar was discovered first.

If too much chakra is exerted the user will be pushed away; bark breaking and causing the user to then fall. If not enough chakra is exerted the user will lose their footing and fall. Chakra Cost: 1 (1 per post)
Name: Konoha Bushin (Leaf Clone) Rank: D Type: Ninjutsu Range: N/A Element: N/A Description: An early version of the Kage Bushin, the Konoha Bushin is similar in being a solid clone with effectively unlimited range. However it is much weaker than other solid clones; unable to do meaningful damage or use ninjutsu and dispersing if slapped or poked hard. They also lack the shadow clones ability to send their experiences to the original on being dispersed - the user will sense which clone was dispersed as well as the distance and direction from themselves (and through that the rough location) when it was dispersed but nothing about how, or what it experienced after being made until it dispersed. This limits them to roles such as "grunt labor" for non-combat tasks, expendable "mine detectors" or for other tasks (such as being a decoy) where knowing exactly what happened isn't critical. When dispersed the clone dissipates into smoke and a handful of leaves plus whatever equipment they were carrying (but not copied) at the time. Chakra Cost 3

Looking at his watch in between keeping his ears open for any signs that the body he had hastily concealed in the cellar had been found, Toshiro found himself ranting in the privacy of his head. 'Fifteen! Fifteen damn minutes! Next time I have to do this I'm doping the sake with wood alcohol!' Other thoughts along the vein, covering all the things a human wasn't supposed to consume being added to sake, filled the chuunin's mind to such an extent he almost didn't hear the first heavy thump from room he had left a short while ago. He did however hear the next series of thuds until he could count a grand total of six. With no alarm raised from downstairs the Hidden Leaf assassin cut the chakra to his feet and dropped to the ground, flipping mid-air to land on his feet with only minimal sound. Then he silently padded his way to the door and opened with slowly. What he saw inside brought a pleased smirk to his face as he surveyed the results of his gamble.
True to the doctors predictions the bandit's leadership, along with their hired comfort, were splayed out on the floor - clearly completely unconscious. With just a hint of a cold smile Toshiro removed the three syringes he had been given from one of the pockets in his vest and approached the helpless figures. A quick jab into the throat of each bandit and soon each gasped their last as the overdose (easily ten times what would be medically used) shut down their bodies in a matter of seconds. The primary objective accomplished the chuunin set about arranging now faced with a different dilemma - what to do with the three low-class prostitutes rendered insensate. Oh and whatever he had to do had to do need to be done in less than one hour. The doctor had made it a point that the sedatives would only last that long the victims would slip into a normal state of slumber.
It would take Toshiro nearly ten minutes; time spent arranging the three corpses to create the illusion of three men who had passed out while drinking. When he did however it was so simple he had to fight down the urge to pound his head against the wall. They would just have to vanish and do so in a manner that would assure they wouldn't ever talk about what went on. Fortunately the chuunin knew just the thing to assure silence. Money, and in particular the money the bandits had left out on the table - no doubt the "pot" of some game of chance. While not worth the time for someone like Toshiro, it was still a sizeable amount by most peoples standards. In effect he would turn them into unwitting accomplices in case whoever determine the caused of death didn't by the accident. The combination of missing money and missing prostitutes, being the last people known to be with the bandit leaders, would naturally lead to an assumption of robbery with the motive being the missing money. Money that would encourage the prostitutes to get a considerable distance away to avoid the wrath of the bandits who they would have "stolen" from.
All the chuunin had to do was, after he had bound them with whatever he could get his hands on, get them outside of the fort undetected. Something that would have possessed quite the problem given the limited egress routes if not for the wonders of a thatched roof. A few lengths of wire and some forceful shoving made a gap large enough for Toshiro and some Konoha bushin to get the three females onto the roof, where another length of wire allowed each clone to reach the walkway and go over the palisade. Then each would hug the wall until it reached a less-populated area and run off into the night with its burden of feminine pulchritude and a sizeable amount of liberated wealth. The clones would carry their burdens as far as possible then dump them near some well-traveled road or town and dispersing. While the clones were doing their part, Toshiro was completing his. After soaking the corpses and a good portion of the room in the flammable liquid the doctor had provided the chuunin took one last look around before pulling a book of paper matches and striking one that he then stuck back in the book. After a few seconds he threw the entire book onto one of the rugs he had soaked and climbed out the up and out the hole in the thatched roof.
From there Toshiro took one last look down at the room where he could already see flames greedily licking their way towards more fuel before turning his attention to the getting off the roof and over the wall. That would prove easier done that said - with the slope of the roof and the appalling lack of guards on the palisade walkway it was a simple matter for the chuunin to slide down the roof before jumping onto the walkway. Pausing on that to take one last look behind him he could see the upper windows of the room he had torched aglow with the ruddy light of a fire. As he vaulted over the wall and into the night the white-haired assassin could hear the first shouts of "Fire" going up. Something that brought a smirk to his face as he whispered [color=blue]"too little, too slow, and too late." Then he vanished into the confusion and chaos of a rabble without leadership in a crisis - unnoted and unremembered.

The day would dawn crisp but clear and with only a light wind. In a remote valley in the eastern portion of Ta no Kunai the inhabitants of half-ruined fortress would roundly say that the day was mocking them as they tried to pick up the pieces from a single night of horror. To the north of that fort, lying down on a boulder perched on a steep hillside, one white-haired Konoha chuunin held another opinion - to him this day had turned out perfectly. Looking down at what had been a camp of bandits Toshiro didn't try to hide the satisfied smile as he surveyed the effects of his handiwork from the night before. It had taken the leaderless rabble nearly 15 minutes to organize any sort of bucket-brigade and even then it had proven ineffective. Mostly because the nearest source of liquid that wasn't in barrels happened to be a very inconvenient distance from the burning building and the bandits were quite short of buckets. Combined with far too many of the bandits being in various stages of drunkenness and it shouldn't have surprised the shinobi that the fire had managed to pretty much reduce the building to char and ash before dying for lack of fuel. In light of that, the information that his three clones had dispersed at considerable distances from the fort (ranging from maybe 15 to 20 miles) was rather moot. It would take a major effort by medic-nin with hefty support to find any evidence of murder in the wreckage. An effort he doubted anyone would spare on a bunch of bandits when it would be so much easier to just call it stupidity and be done with it.
Slithering backwards down the rock, Toshiro was confronted with the empty dip in the hillside that just yesterday had been the Konoha team's camp. The prior night he had carefully packed away the camp he and his genin had set up - sealing away what they had brought with them and placing the rest in a hole for the rest before burning it and burying the ashes. The last evidence (save for himself) of the ninja's presence obliterated, the chuunin had one last task to do before seeing if his genin were fit to travel back to Konoha. That was to arrange the secure delivery of the handful of documents, some written in a cipher he didn't recognize, back to Konoha for decryption and analysis. To that end Toshiro partially drew on of his katana and slightly cut his finger along the exposed length before sheathing it. Then a few hand seals along with a muttered "Kuchiyose no Jutsu" and Tonbi was in front of him looking a bit startled who glared at his summoner. "Don't tell me you screwed up and need my help you white-haired chimp?"
Pointedly ignoring the jab his summon made (mostly because he knew it was just Tonbi's way of asking if everything was okay), Toshiro simply cut right to the point. "Everything is find but I need you to carry these to Konoha for the moles in the Information department to go over for any useful tidbits." Giving the rolled up papers a measuring glare the extra-large pheasant plucked them up and stowed them under his vest. The whole time the summon was trying his best to look put out about being reduced to a glorified messenger bird before he vanished the characteristic poof of smoke that announced his return to his homeland. Final task done, the white-haired chuunin took one last look around before setting out to hopefully pick up his students and start the trip home. And maybe this time there wouldn't be a need to come back to this particular fort - at least so he hoped.
