GIFT OF THE GODS: THE WIND TEMPLE.
The Bag of Fuuijin

Gift of the Gods: The Wind Temple SuperStock_1788-4423

Kaze no Kuni, the home to Sunagakure no Sato engulfs a generous portion of the shinobi continent despite not being home to as many life forms as other smaller countries. The main reason for this is because of how inhabitable most of the country is, with at least eighty percent of the country nothing but masses of desert, that meet to create a seemingly never-ending danger zone extremely impossible to navigate. Locals call these areas The Oceans of Sand. Deep within these oceans, mountainous sand dunes and thick dust storms act as natural obstacles protecting a mysterious and secretive piece of history that hasn’t been seen by human eyes for centuries. Legend says this temple simply named The Temple of Wind was constructed from Fuujin who himself was The God of Wind. People have spoken of an artefact that has the capabilities of changing the shinobi world as we know it. This monumental item people speak of is the Bag of Fuujin which was said to generate devastating blasts of wind that Fuujin himself would wield on battle fields against other gods.

Whether Fuuijin and his Bag of Wind actually ever existed is one thing, but the idea of such a weapon still existing in today’s world has enticed many shinobi in the past to try and locate Fuujin’s Temple. Although some people believe the temple has never actually been found, rumours and stories make their way around the entire shinobi continent in regards to past shinobi who had made it inside the temple only to be trapped within and silently withering away into the next life. Although the temple is so well hidden and extremely hard to enter, escaping the temple is said to be the most difficult challenge that this death trap has to offer. Storytellers warn all listeners to never look for this weapon as power can corrupt even the best ninja. Knowing this Fuujin created this temple not as a place to safely store this weapon, but as a prison for what is believed to be an indestructible forest-leveller.

Konohagakure no Sato being extremely aware of the dangers of trying to find Fuujin’s temple, had recently come to the decision that allowing such a weapon to fall into enemies hands would be even more dangerous. With some fresh evidence of the temples location, the Leaf Village’s Yondaime Hokage sent a squadron of eight shinobi to retrieve this weapon, some of them way too inexperienced for such a mission, yet the Hokage showed faith in some of his younger ninja, little did he know that he was more than likely sending these ninja to their premature deaths. Among them was the recently retired Sandaime Hokage who was leading this exhibition to the sand. Even this historically recognizable and powerful ninja was about to face the fight of his life in this temple, assuming he and his team could get in the door.

The day was like any other around the temple, strangely dark due to the sandstorms drowning out the sun, but as hot as a desert possibly could be. There were no tracks to the temple. The dunes that surrounded it would take hours to climb and even at the top of these gigantic mounts of sand the temple could not be seen. A shinobi would have to be within one hundred metres of the temple before they could start to see it in the storms the way they were and splitting up would surely result in the loss of a teammate. This mission was not for the faint-hearted. Everybody would be tested today, everybody.

Adam’s Notes:

  • For the start of this thread Dan is considered the mission leader, all of you should be acknowledging him as the Third Hokage, one of the most respected shinobi your village has known. Even though he is retired he still receives treatment close to the current Hokage himself much like in the show when the Third was retired and Minato stepped into the position of Fourth.
  • You have been divided into three squadrons; this will be shown further into the thread. From there this thread will be split into three different threads so it flows better.
  • Your initial post needs to be a summary of meeting up with your squad, travelling to the Kaze no Kuni, climbing the massive dunes to the top. Your post should end with your squad standing on the top. Once everybody has posted the first time, wait for further instructions.
  • Once a posting order has been established, you have 48 hours to post after the person above you so the thread doesn’t get held up. If you fail to do this your character falls into my hands and this could result in its immediate death.
  • Death is a major factor here, I’m not expecting all of you to get out alive. My word is absolute, if I say you’re dead don’t argue with me over it.
  • At times in my posts I’ll be controlling certain actions of your characters to ensure the thread follows the plan I have for it as best as it can, do not complain about it.

The sun had split the horizon like the shear crack of a whip. With the few penetrating rays of light, the slow trickle of warmth could be felt creeping over the surroundings as the veil bathed the sand dunes in the most beautiful of glows. With the glow and warmth, hope would be brought to the group of tired and straggling shinobi - with hope being the only thing they could successfully cling on to.

For close to 6 full nights of walking, the haggardly had group crossed over a constant roll of sand dunes and constant deserts Robin had on several occasions questioned if they were going the right way. This was no good thing to be questioning, especially as the former Hokage was the one in charge of the expedition to uncover the sacred artifact of Fuuijin. For fair reason did Robin question his instructions as it were a caravan of trading merchants who spun a web of stories with the artifact being the prized story. The caravan had arrived at the gates of the Leaf Village with the promise of market trade and in their week-long trade a crowd had seemingly grown around their caravan where the stories were being told on a nightly basis. Word reached the shinobi council and orders were put forth of a light-interrogation on these travelers; they had passed all of the tests and the story was to be one of truth.

The next day, Robin had been sent a letter to meet at the gates and to follow the gourd of Fuuijin constellation to the sacred temple where it was the upmost priority that the team he was assigned would enter the temple and secure the valuable artifact with its safe return at all costs. Too vague of mission details for Robin's pleasure, however he did not want to risk the chance of defying the shinobi council a second time so he would abide by it and complete the mission successfully; or so he hoped. To be honest, he wasn't completely confident with the group he had been assigned, some familiar faces but most of them minor shinobi of lesser rank - it would appear all expenses were spared for this mission, oh joy. Robin had met them, formally introduced himself and had a round-robin (pun) of introductions with rank. The group was preppy and willing and they had covered phenomenal ground to even reach the first of the towering sand dunes only to view an ocean of constant dunes - then the spirit was kicked out of everyone and the struggled ensued.

Though the group had seemingly reached halfway with the crest of the sand dune being reached and the view below accomplishing the hope that had been slowly restored with the sun. What lay roughly a kilometer down the bottom of the giant sand dune was a very ruined temple of sandstone and marble, so ancient it would appear to have stood the test of time against the elements. Pillars were crumbled, the awnings to the entrance was shuddered holding on by the briefest of threads and the temple was half encased in sand. The sight was such a relief he could feel his left eye slowly begin to water, before he snapped to his senses and toughened up. Robin looked up and sure enough the fading constellation of Fuuijin's belt sat winking above them. The only problem though was that a sizable chunk of the group's energy had been sapped and they had only completed a third of the journey. Now the true test would begin and Robin had a very uncomfortable feeling about the task at hand.

Robin took a short, sharp breath and an exhale before turning to the group. He could tell just by the look on the other's faces that a bit of hope had been restored and Robin need to continue on with the trend, "Well guys, it would appear that we've made it and those merchants weren't just lying, dishonest human beings. That'd be a first." Robin licked his dry lips and turned to give the orders, "Everyone, take a mouthful of water and have a bite to eat, our energy is most needed now. After an hour's rest we will continue on and secure the artifact. Is that understood?" Robin scanned the group to see every eye cast upon him and to read the lips of the collective agreement that fell upon them. This would be the test of the gods.

Gift of the Gods: The Wind Temple Aburam10

The sun rose as groups of genin and different ranks gathered into a single line. The third Hokage up front giving orders and informing others about their task in hand. According to what Shuhei was told, this mission required several teams, most which were chosen and thought to be the strongest and abled group of ninja Konoha could offer at the time. It was initiation day, as the gathered people discussed of upcoming travels and team planning. Shuhei was in fact though wasnt willing to team up with no one that would get in his way. He managed to keep himself from any unimportant talk with other groups of ninja. His planing was different, he wanted to go in and get out as fast as possible and with the prize in hand. He would look around, seeing as he noticed few familiar faces, much like Kemuri, and Yoru one of the genins he had an encounter with before. Shuhei sighed as he slipped out a small note from his pocket. Slowly gazing his eyes through the note on hand to remember his objective. In which appears to be a rumor that has been spreading over the countries.

According to these said rumors, the Bag of Fuuijin, was located in the Wind Temple somewhere along the lines of the Wind country, so it would be a a long travel, considering there was some many people coming along. The description of the place said to be booby-trapped, and those who have entered has yet to come out to talk about their journey. This was a serious mission indeed, and could be the highest mission he will get in a long time. The Bag of Fuuijin, said to have the power to flatten lands with powerful winds, was the intended target of Konoha. And, according to what the former Hokage had stated the people on this journey would be at the risk of death.

Shuhei nodded as Robin the third Hokage initiated the walk towards Kaze No Kuni. And while they spent about 6 days of walking it had began to show it had taken a lot of energy from the group of ninja. Shuhei was not really rushing himself to get to this place, for what? He didn’t exactly know what he would do once he reached the location, nonetheless what would happen in the insides of the temples if said things were to be real anyways. The artifact was awarded to the one who found it and managed to keep it with them. So Shuhei began to think of the problems this could cause. An ancient bag with the power of flattening lands was something that everyone would like to get their hands on. Would it have the power to break up friendship between Konoha ninja? This was all something Shuhei was willing to see as it breaks out. It would be perfect for him if all Konoha ninja turn against each other.

He would keep his distance between them if anything, his own always trailing behind by a few 2 people in the back. He wanted to keep eyes on every single person on this journey. He didn’t wanted himself “disappearing” from the face of the Earth just yet. The long journey consisted of constant deserts, and constant rolls of sands. Which somewhat made it difficult to keep track of their location. He was being led by the infamous former Hokage as well but Shuhei just tried to learn as much as possible about this location. He was hoping to travel back here at some point, maybe for future convenience. At some point the group had begubn to speak, the Hokage himself introducing and somewhat letting others introduce themselves, much that seemed to be only at the genin rank, maybe two that were actually chuunin, and maybe a jounin. After said introductions the group covered a large number of areas, until they finally reached a place. A place much like an ancient temple down below a few kilometers down on a sand dune. The stories were true, and now their true journey would begin.

Shuhei’s eye grew wide as he reached the Hokage’s side as he peeked down to the bottom right to the temple. "Well guys, it would appear that we've made it and those merchants weren't just lying, dishonest human beings. That'd be a first." The Hokage said congratulating the exhausted group of shinobi. "Everyone, take a mouthful of water and have a bite to eat, our energy is most needed now. After an hour's rest we will continue on and secure the artifact. Is that understood?" With that said the group of genin began to take a quick rest, drinking and eating anything they could before entering the temple. The true journey was just about to start and Shuhei was ready for it.

Gift of the Gods: The Wind Temple Vide
PostSubject: Re: Gift of the Gods: The Wind Temple Gift of the Gods: The Wind Temple EmptyWed 10 Oct 2012, 9:35 pm

This was a place that Kemuri could call home. The heat, the earth, the winds whipping about and creating dust storms both large and small on the horizon; it was an environment created for an ambush simply due to its lack of cover. The terrain was that of dune after dune and would quickly lull the commoner into a sense of commonplace and security. Little would they expect the raiders of the desert to be far more cunning than those who relied strictly upon their environment to mask their hordes before the crash came. The Haretsu girl trudged up the side of a dune with this thought in mind and a smile curling her lips. The trek had been quite hard, the most recent days more so than the last, but surely they were approaching the end. While the heat did not bother her too much, others surely were bogged down by its ever present force that dried the sands and cooked the unwary. Her eyes flicked to her compatriots if only to observe their well being and make sure there were none dead or dying who needed to be relieved of their belongings before they were swallowed whole by these unforgiving granules of earth.

The summons had come as no surprise to Kemuri, though the source of the information that they were following in this chasing of an artifact had surprised her quite a bit when it was revealed. Merchants, her favorite target for poaching, had provided Konoha civilians with fantastic stories of a temple in the desert and a set of stars that would lead them all for some ancient treasure. Almost as soon as the rumors had hit the streets was when Kemuri figured she would be accompanying the group as both an expert in ambush and raiding tactics that bandits were fond of and a collector of things both expensive and ancient. After all, one had to know the products they were pilfering and selling lest they wanted to lose easy profit to idiocy. So the message came, she had graciously accepted the offer expecting a handful of shinobi to trek through the desert and either find what they were looking for or find nothing. She doubted everyone could survive and was more than eager to pick the bones of the dead, or claim this legendary treasure for herself once they had found it.

Much to the genin Haretsu’s surprise was the size of the party, like a herd of cloaked cows moving through the desert one footstep at a time. Six days. Six long days of the sun and the complaining, the idiots and the wildlife, the danger and the sand all seeking the same thing from this troupe of misfits: To break their collective wills. And it might have succeeded if not for greed and the lure of treasure just over the next dune. Or the next dune. Or that dune right on the horizon. It had to be that one, right? Feet ached and even Kemuri herself was suddenly aching for that element she disliked so much. Still, the march continued onwards for who could say how long, all on the word of some merchants who were lucky that Kemuri had not assaulted on the road as was her normal weekend activity.

To top it all off, the journey was headed up by someone who would tolerate none of Kemuri’s rule bending, or breaking for that matter, and probably would not be above leaving her out here amongst the sands as a corpse had he known of her more illicit enjoyments. This man was a former Hokage, a leader of the village that had been in charge when she was a child in the academy. Since her promotion to genin she had experienced zero contact with him, having been replaced by the next Hokage as he stepped down into retirement. Perhaps the geezer thought this was a lovely stroll in the park, but geezer or not Kemuri would not underestimate him for a second. It takes a lot to control a village, and his experience was undoubtedly light years beyond the Haretsu’s own so caution was well advised by her instincts.

Another step up the dune nearly sent her for a tumble as the footing gave way and she slid down a step and sunk into the sand up to her ankles. Hiking boots were not preferable to the sandals that the others wore, but the backslide did not bother Kemuri nearly as much as it might others. Those boots came with a purpose, and indeed she would remember that purpose and stick to them. The cloak was tugged tighter around her neck, keeping out the blazing sun and blistering winds as she unburrowed her feet and took another step towards the top. The boy, the one with the scars, had beat her up the hill with the former Hokage and both had paused. It was only as she reached the top that she too froze in place and gazed upon the ragged ruins of the temple down below with a sigh of relief. Orders were given to rest, eat, drink, but all Kemuri could think about was the treasure. To hell with the hour rest, she stepped forward over the peak of the dune and spoke over her shoulder.

“You all stop for the rest, I’ll eat and drink on the way down and do some scouting, don’t want to get caught with our pants down, yeah?”

And no need not to be the first to set eyes on the Bag. Kemuri thought with a hidden smile. No need for that at all…

Gift of the Gods: The Wind Temple Vide
PostSubject: Re: Gift of the Gods: The Wind Temple Gift of the Gods: The Wind Temple EmptyThu 11 Oct 2012, 12:15 am

They journey was to a place of legends. It was said to be a temple created by a god, the god of Fuuijin to be exact. Many rumours were whispered amongst people, and behind closed doors they made plans to retrieve the object for themselves. There came a day when such talk hit a peak to where no one could simply forget about it. That was the day when the Fourth Hokage spoke to a group of individuals including herself and the infamous third Hokage, Robin. He gave a mission, one most shinobi would love to give their right arm for. It was a simple sort of plan, Go into the land of winds and take the bag of Fuuijin. Stealing from a gods temple. That was just asking for divine punishment.

Now six days later Hani found herself trekking across the many sand dunes, her white lab coat fluttering with her. The hot heat seemed to increase with every waking second, relentlessly beating down on her ivory skin. Her breath came slowly as they walked but still her back held straight. It wouldn't be wise for her to let her guard down in this scene. Many would be watching for weakness to seek glory in their own name. Truth be told she really didn't want any claims on this heavenly prize. The mere idea of having such a thing held no sway over her. To her there was only one person in their little group who deserved it, and that one deserved to have her help, mainly healing when needed. Granted of he even wanted her help. And as far as she could tell, she was the only true medic of the bunch unless if she overlooked something.

In these six day of traveling, one constant thought plagued her mind. Why the the Third Hokage step down? Retirement? Or something else? Secretly she wasn't all to please with the new kage in place. He was way too clean, in the sense of a brand new toy. Now and then her violent orbs would flicker up ahead to look at Robin. Some old loyalties could never be broken. Nothing had happened between the two, never met or anything. Yet she had faith in him.

Suddenly the pack had come to a halt. In the lead stood the Third, and people milled about him peering at something. Slowly her feet carried her to a point in which her eyes could see. What she witnessed took her breath away. Sprawled across the land bellow lay a crumbling temple. One whose pullers collapsed into the sand, slowly sinking beneath sight each passing day. Sunlight shone off the rocky temple, surrounding it with a heavenly hue. A true Gods temple... One that we are now going to defile.. By no means was she devout to religion, but what was presented to her was a somber beauty.

Then Robin began to speak which commanded all eyes and ears.
"Well guys, it would appear that we've made it and those merchants weren't just lying, dishonest human beings. That'd be a first." Her delicate lips twitched up into a smile at that. What she did notice was how dry his lips look. The start of dehydration... "Everyone, take a mouthful of water and have a bite to eat, our energy is most needed now. After an hour's rest we will continue on and secure the artifact. Is that understood?"
She nodded at his words and cast him a final glance before grabbing her container of water. After letting the cool liquid graze the inside of her throat , she put it back and dusted sand bits from her white lab coat. Out of the corner of her eye she saw one of the people on the group shout before dashing further , closer to the temple. Hani couldn't help but smirk. "A bit restless are we?" She mumbled.

Standing on top of the dune to the right of one Tusyo Hani was a figure standing just a hair shy of six feet but beyond that and the calloused fingers gripping a bow not covered by black fingerless gloves not much else was visible due to the tan hooded cloak he wore. It wasn't until the figure spoke that his other hand left the cloak to pull back the hood enough that white hair and teal eyes dissecting the temple could be seen. "I hate deserts but I like the looks of that temple even less." While some of his fellow Leaf-nin might have been focused on the supposed treasure within the temple, one Hinamori Toshiro was more concerned about the lack of apparent defenses around it. As much of a pain as climbing this last monstrous sand dune had been when his feet sank into the fine-grained sand with each step, seeing this supposed temple and it lack of obvious guardians was worse. In his experience with ancient ruins, the fewer the visible defenses the more numerous and devious the ones you wouldn't see. Something that, combined with nearly six days of marching while carrying two-thirds of his own weight in extra supplies, had him wondering just why he had volunteered for this assignment.

When he had first been assigned the mission Toshiro had been eager to participate. It wasn't every day you got to enter one of the other four "Great Nations" to a raid a long-lost temple for (if rumor was to be believed) a divine artifact in the company of a former Hokage. Having grabbed this chance to do something beyond leading a group of genin, Toshiro had been among the first to show up and as usual had been loaded down with enough basic supplies for three people. To the inevitable raised eyebrows and snide remarks at just how over-prepared the chuunin was he had shrugged and repeated something he had heard his father say about packing for missions. "Better to have and not need than to need and be SOL." He had even gone as far as to fill his storage scrolls with water at the last stop in River Country just in case he needed his stronger suiton ninjutsu where the wasn't any water to be had. Now that he was seeing the temple, the chuunin found himself wishing he had brought a whole lot more of them along with a few crates of explosives.

Shoving that urge to just demolish or rebury (or better both) the structure that screamed "you can check out but never leave" and go home, Toshiro had given the mismatched team's leader what attention wasn't focused on the "temple" below or the area around the ninja. That was enough to hear the order for the group to recoup some of their energy before they would begin the actual approach to the temple. Also heard was the bit about merchants being dishonest, something that earned the former Hokage a divisive snort and muttered "quite a few people would say the same about shinobi" as the white-haired chuunin sat on the top of the dune. Given just how involved his clan was in trade (legal and otherwise), he found that generalization about merchants insulting. Just how insulting was apparent as he opened his last extra pack of water bottles - he tossed one to each of the other shinobi present before making a point to weigh the last bottle which he tossed at the former Sandaime's head with a glare that conveyed more than a small amount of irritation. The remaining four went into the loops on the back of Toshiro's own weapons harness along with his sand-colored cloak that had been rolled up.

Well aware that this hours rest was probably the last they might have for days, once those tasks were done the Hinamori chuunin had sprawled out on his back facing the temple to catch a quick nap in the cool(er) night air. Something that he had been just about to do when one of the genin started to run down the slope towards the temple against orders. An act that elicited something about restlessness from the kunochi next to him. Toshiro had his own opinion on the reason behind the genin's foolhardy acts and said it loud enough to be clearly heard by those nearby. "More likely greedy or arrogant and very green." Then he shifted slightly so he could see the former Hokage clearly in case the man signed to have the quick-footed chuunin retrieve the over-eager genin. Otherwise he planned to let "Kerumi" find out why the phrase "fools charge in where angles fear to tread" had been coined. Loyal to Konoha and (most) of its ideals he may be, Toshiro was also a believer in the best way to break someone of a bad habit was to let them experience the full consequences of that habit. He was much the same with his own genin - as long as the mistake wasn't going to be fatal (to themselves or others) he had already let them get singed a few times practicing their ninjutsu before pointing out what they were doing wrong. Harsh? Very. Effective? Beyond a doubt as once they learned what they were doing wrong they almost never repeated the mistake.

Walking through the desert with his scarf wrapped around his face to keep the sun from heating him up to much Yoru stood wearing his clothes he normally wears durning the hot summer days. However due to the fact they were in the desert he still felt unnaturally hot. "Why anyone would live in a place like this or build a temple in the middle of the desert is a loss to me." As they continued through the desert slowly Yoru began to hear the calls of the dead. The further in they went he heard more and more of them calling in anguish.

Even as they continued on it started to get deafening from the anguish of the dead he started to plug his ears as they continued on. When they finally reached a point the third hokage turned to the group and issued orders. Reaching into his pack he drew his water skin and took a gulp of water. Now that they were begining to relax he looked over the rest of the people in his team. Seeing the only person he recognized the young Aburame in the group. "He will be usefull on this mission with his insects." However as he thought it over he began to wonder what he could possibly bring to the group other than the fact he can see the dead.

As he sat taking in the area a spirit came floating down in front of him examining him. As with most spirits they could tell he was able to see him. Then it asked him a question, "Are you making your way to the temple?" Nodding so as not to draw much attention to himself the spirit smiled. "Heres a little something for you. Be careful when you go over the next dune there is a whole bunch of quick sand. Thats how I died, wasnt very pleasant. I hope you make it out alive but if you dont you can come hang out with the whole group." With a smile the spirit floated off to areas unkown.

Feeling this was something worth mentioning he got up and walked over to the third hokage. Giving a small bow he whispered in the mans ear. "Sir. I feel I should inform you that up ahead there is some quicksand. If we can find a way around it things might go a bit smoother." Unsure if the man will take his advice or just think he is completely crazy Yoru stood and waited for his orders.

Gift of the Gods: The Wind Temple Vide
PostSubject: Re: Gift of the Gods: The Wind Temple Gift of the Gods: The Wind Temple EmptySat 13 Oct 2012, 7:07 pm

Never in her life had Tani ever expected to be so completely and utterly ecstatic to see a run-down heap of ancient ruins rumoured to contain little but the promise of death. Yet there she was, on the top of the world’s most obnoxiously large sand dune, staring down at the damn near crumbling pile of sandstone walls and doom at its base with the most ridiculous grin plastered across her face. If it weren’t for Uzumaki Robin, the former Hokage himself, standing just a few feet to her left then this weathered and worn little band of travellers almost certainly would have been treated to a raucous whoop and the sight of a tiny Genin being launched into the air by the sheer fervour with which she threw her fist towards the heavens. However the presence of a legend was something not even Tani could let slip from her mind easily and using every ounce of restraint in her small self, managed to contain her reaction to a firm but quiet and earthbound pump of her fist and a smile that spread from ear to ear. It was real, the damn temple was real! That meant they hadn’t just spent nearly an entire week chasing a fairy tale; that the fairy tale was real, and that this trip held the very promising possibility of getting much much more interesting. The bland ‘walk through sand, walk through more sand, try not to breathe in sand, accidentally eat a little sand, sleep on sand, wake up half buried in sand before wading through (you guessed it) another. Sand. Filled. Day.’ that had been the last week was more of the tiny grains of earth than the girl cared for. After the first few excitement-filled hours the newness of it wore off and the desert got very old, very fast.

Yin, Natanie had been a last minute addition to the party bound for the Wind God’s temple; she’d hardly been given any time to prepare and was almost late for the squad meet up due to having trouble finding some desert hardy clothing in time. After managing to find a white hooded cloak in her brother’s wardrobe that, despite being a few sizes too large and dwarfing the young shinobi when she wore it would provide quite nice sun protection, she’d finished hurriedly packing her provisions and had sprinted all the way to the gates to greet her team mates. The sight of none other than the third Hokage as their squad leader and the familiar faces of some of her fellow Genin, including that of a girl she’d considered to be a good friend for quite some time, had been a welcome comfort and fed Tani’s already vast ocean of excitement and anticipation for the mission ahead of them; collecting an ancient and powerful artefact from the belly of an inescapable fortress raised by a god. Late notice or not; who could possibly turn down the offer for such an adventure? There was also the motivation that this weapon of the wind god was devastatingly powerful, enough to level forests or villages or whatever. The bright eyed girl had no interest in obtaining such a ludicrously powerful object for herself; she had no intention to ever wreak such total destruction, though she was very strongly opposed to the prospect of her beloved village being faced with such an awful tool. It was that which truly motivated her on this quest for a myth, the resolution that if anyone was going to unleash the devastating wrath of kami, it would be a konoha shinobi; not an enemy. Right now, however, the enemy facing the ninja procession came in the form of a building undoubtedly holding a few hostile surprises for them within its halls.

With the coming heat of the day in mind, Tani used the opportunity for a breather to plop down onto her backside in the still cool sand, quickly planning out her next hour as she instinctively caught something thrown her way by the white haired Chuunin in their group, who’d introduced himself as Hinamori Toshiro. When she looked down to see that it was water he’d passed, and shared with everyone else as well, she shot the boy a thankful grin and flicked two fingers in a silent salute of appreciation before taking a generous drink then replenishing the supply in her own large canteen with what remained. She was just settling down for a nap, hands behind her head for a makeshift pillow, when she heard Kemuri say something about scouting ahead, followed by a few unimpressed comments from various voices in the camp. Eyes remained shut lightly as the girl rolled them behind her lids with smile; Kemuri wasn’t the type to behave how people wanted or expected, though she had enough sense to watch her step. “Don’t set anything off, Muri!” She chimed in with a grin, opening one eye to peek in the direction she’d last seen her friend moving “And don’t go starting the fun without us!” she added loudly as Yoru passed her line of vision on his way to talk to Robin. Tani drew back to her plans for a nap though, she’d keep an ear out for any escalation or disturbances nearby, but unless something went wrong she’d be taking a nice refreshing snooze followed by a bite to eat and then some light stretching and warming up for the real show. Under normal circumstances she’d be right by the blonde girl’s side, saying “No thanks” to sitting around for an hour and itching to get into the fun stuff, but sometimes it was a good idea to take the rest beats; especially since she got the wonderfully tingly feeling that there would be plenty of action to be had when their hour was up.

Sael walked along behind the majority of the other shinobi on this expedition. The first part of their trek had been quite boring, walking for days over land and then sand was not what he had had in mind when he signed up for this. Some of the shinobi seemed to wear down faster when they encountered the massive desert but apart from the loathing of sand between his toes and what looked like days more walking not much had bothered Sael about it, sure the sun was glaring off of everything but contrary to some peoples belief his long black cloak was helping him through the desert, it kept the sun off of most of his body and underneath was much space for airflow and sufficiently cool for him. Nonetheless when the Third stopped and the temple came into view he was relieved. Finally the boredom was coming to a close, he ran over a quick check on his kits and made sure his puppet scrolls were in the right order and checked off his list.

After the Third gave the advice to eat and drink Sael kneeled down and brushed the sand out of his toes vigorously, disgusted by the feeling, scowling slightly he brushed his hands off on his pant leg and took out a small bit off food and some water. He took a sip before putting it back and stood up to eat his small snack sized morsel and readjust some of his gear. He looked out at the temple and had a small sense of foreboding before shaking it off and turning back to the rest of the group and awaiting further orders.

PostSubject: Re: Gift of the Gods: The Wind Temple Gift of the Gods: The Wind Temple EmptyThu 18 Oct 2012, 5:02 am

Sizzling - How he hadn't noticed the heat until now was of a mystery to Robin; though it could be due to the fact they had covered ground this evening in such a cold desert. What an oxymoron of a situation the Wind Country had been with its stifling hot days and freezing nights, though it was surprisingly refreshing. The sun was now a fair height off of the horizon and the surrounding sky was a beautiful blue and orange pastel. Surprisingly, the tables had seemed to turn for the rag-tag group of shinobi whom should have been enjoying their well needed break. All except one, a young kunoichi Genin with the inflated ego enough to go and 'supposedly' scout out the perimeter. Robin normally wouldn't have given a hell as to what this person wanted to do though he had been instructed to lead this group and he needed to show authority in a scenario as this one. Robin cleared his throat and shouted to the disappearing kunoichi, 'If you set one foot within the premises of that temple, I will have you making the return journey. On your hands.' A slight buzz filled the group but generally they all seemed to have not minded the threat and settled down for the well-deserved rest and relaxation.

The first to stir from within the group was the white-haired Chuunin male of which he appeared to dish out spare water canteens throughout the group peacefully. Except for the one Robin seemed to have recieved that was heavier-than-would-have-liked and thrown a little too hard his way, coupled with a childish glare that made Robin identify the malice. A bit of beef hey, let's just hope he has some more wits about him then he appears to show, Robin thought before sitting down to consume a sizable portion of the luke-warm yet refreshing water. He kept one keen eye on the Genin scouting around the outside of the temple and one on the resting group. This was going to be a long mission at any rate.

The former Hokage's hand reached into the depths of his black trench coat to retrieve a meal ration and a ninja pill of which would be the energy he should need for the depths of the temple, or so he hoped. As his hand went to transfer the meal into his mouth, he was rudely interrupted by another white-haired individual though this one only a Genin of who felt the need to inform the Yondaime Hokage of an impending threat. How the boy knew there would be quicksand up ahead was a mystery to the older man, though ninja were full of mysteries. Robin would have welcomed the advice had it not been quite so empty and so he voiced, 'Thank-you for your concerns but the path between here and the temple appears to have no quicksand present, or else we'd see a disappearing comrade down below.' He pointed down to the now-stopped kunoichi waiting outside the entrance to the temple before he continued, 'unless you mean to tell me its further past the temple, well that would be of no concern to us as the path home is the one we just followed. Just stop and rest up, you'll need it for the temple.' Robin watched as the boy walked off a little dumbfounded but enlightened none the less. Now he could eat and the meal passed through his mouth and into the depths of his body - energy save him.

The remainder of the time passed by without a hitch as the group received some well-deserved rest, including the girl outside the temple. Robin instructed the other Chuunin of the group, surprisingly not a white-haired spiky male but a pretty girl to awaken one of the sleeping Genin before the group moved down the final few hundred meetings into the midst of the ruins. They were rejoined by the lonesome Genin who fell into the pack without a word whilst the group walked past the rubble pillars and collapsing arches into the presence of a God's creation. They followed suit as Robin ascended some badly broken yet manageable steps to the entrance to the temple itself. Giant heavy-set doors barred the groups way and would be just the group's first obstacle. Robin approached the doors and attempted to open them himself however to no avail; though what he didn't anticipate was the rest of the group who joined in to assist the struggling former-Hokage. Many hands make light work as the saying goes and with the joint effort of all eight of the party, the door creaked and groaned in detest before shuddering open enough to let everyone in. What was inside was like nothing Robin had ever witnessed before.

The light that had been let in from the ajar door washed over the close walls to reveal beautiful paintings, drawings, carvings, mosaics and scriptures that were of immaculate detail. Everything within the temple was intact to perfection and a beauty that Robin had never imagined possible, as if a god had protected this very temple himself. As soon as the awe struck the man did the shriek and bang of the door behind the group close to capture the group in its midst. With the closing of the door, so too did the light disappear and eternal darkness ensued. Married with the dust that had been disturbed as a result of the door, the situation the group fell into was one of serious unrest. Panic entered his mind searching for some answer or light to ease his mind though his wits came to his rescue and informed him to lead. An understanding entered his mind before he voiced it, 'Everyone stay calm and don't move. Listen with your ears but don't move a muscle. We need to be patient I suspect.' He had hoped that had been sound instructions enough, though he prayed that no one would be too headstrong to defy orders and potentially put the group at risk. He had already been disobeyed once before and the unfortunate thing was he had no way to see or know who could move. It would appear the second test would be patience - lets hope the young ones had learnt it already. The Hokage took short breaths in and watched with his ears, being as still as stone itself; though for how long...

The Haretsu girl skidded to a stop in front of the steps before casually sauntering up them despite the harsh words and threat leveled at her from the former Hokage. Walk back on her hands? As if she would ever follow an order like that. Reaching the top step, Kemuri simply turned and offered a….rather rude gesture to the man in charge of the expedition and took a seat with her back against a stone pillar. She could wait a minute while the others caught up and even get herself a tidbit of rest. Her eyes went back to the dune she had descended and was actually surprised Tani did not follow her. The girls had been friends for nearly all of their lives.

Eventually though Tani came down the dune albeit with a collection of losers with her. Tani, that boy with the mask, the former Hokage, all coming down the dune. It’s about time, the thought ringing in the back of the Haretsu girl’s mind. The group moved up the stairs and headed for the door almost as if Kemuri had not existed in the first place. Falling in amongst the group, she nudged Tani with a smirk as a quiet way to say ‘Beat you here’. Of course the real fun was about to begin as their party slowly pushed open the door with a collection of grunts. The creeking of the doors was massive but they did slowly open and provide a gateway into the temple which Robin walked through.

”You mean we’re actually gonna go inside? And here I thought you were just gonna look at the outside and head home.” chimed Kemuri with a thick layer of sarcasm.

Inside the room was spacious, covered in works of art that Kemuri would value at priceless. The girl’s eyes almost watered with the thought of how much some of these hunks of wall might be worth sold and offered up to the highest bidder. Collectors of artifacts would climb over themselves for just a chance to see some of the stone carvings and mosaics. The boom of a door closing shook Kemuri’s bones from the sheer mass of the sound and instantly the girl was blind.

'Everyone stay calm and don't move. Listen with your ears but don't move a muscle. We need to be patient I suspect.'

After being yelled at earlier and then lead in here so slowly by the former Hokage who had seemed so sure of himself, Kemuri could not help but bite back a snicker as the world blinked out of sight with the snap appearance of darkness. Their so called leader had lead them into a blackness so deep that she could not see the tip at the end of her nose. Kemuri’s mind drifted momentarily to a dream she had experienced only a little while ago as the blackness settled. Her lips curled into a smile in the darkness as she listened to the world around her to experience as much as she could in this. While others sat and panicked or worried while they stood there, ya know… whatever they were doing in this darkness, Kemuri was surprisingly comfortable without her sense of sight. Instead of tensing, she relaxed and tucked her thumbs into the waistband of her shorts and used the movement as an excuse to wiggle her fingers into clay pouches along her waist to grab three hunks of the stuff and feed it into the mouths on her hands and tossing the rest into her mouth to chew quietly like a piece of candy or gum. If something was going to happen, she was not going to be caught off guard and unarmed.

Her mouths gently, and silently, chewing the clay gave her something she could use in an almost meditative manner. Her eyes fluttered closed so she could focus on her chewing and the sounds of the room that the group was gathered in. Her senses were not the sharpest however and she might miss something small, but at least any big changes in the room would be noticed nearly immediately by the girl. For now all she could do was wait for someone to provide a light, a skill she had but was unwilling to share with the group for now. After all, someone else surely would find a way to light up the temple and save her the chakra and trouble. She was here for the prize, not the journey and as soon as she saw the opportunity she would claim it without worry for who might be in her way.

”Anyone got a light?”, the joke only richening the enjoyment that the Konoha genin was receiving from this whole situation.

The Kage gave her orders, simple ones at that. Her feet carried her over to the sleeping girl lying there in the heat. Slowly she bent over and placed her delicate hand on the napping form. Gently she shook the genins shoulder whilst whispering to her "Hey, time to wake up." With that settled she stood up straight and walked on back to the main group.

And off they went , ever closer to the temple. She walked upon the crumbling step, trudging behind the lovely Robin. When they reached the top they were greeted by large heavy doors.. Her eyes watched closely as Robin came near the doors and even chuckled a bit when he himself had no luck getting through. However in a flurry of bodies, people rushed with their hand to push against the mighty doors. And even she joined in. A moment passed, then two. A collective silence seemed to fall amongst them as the doors creaked open, as if it didn't want any "intruders" inside. All that was to be expected from the interior , all her suspicions , were blown away.

It was as if someone said "Let there be light!". For the briefest of seconds the room was completely illuminated from floor to ceiling. The beauty of what lay there shocked her to the core. Paintings in many colours, carvings scattered about. Delicate mosaics that rested there. All so overwhelming. A tear was brought to her eye. Here lay perfection, beauty she might not see again. It was just a gift, being able to stand here. Things could not last this way for long before reality struck.

Thud. The doors swung shut with such ease it left her wondering why they took so long to open in the first place. And then Gone. Gone with the awe inspiring site before her. Darkness. Overwhelming darkness. Pitch black. Eyes blinked , checking to see if she wasn't seeing thing. At first panic took her. gripped her tightly in a vice. She was not too fond of the dark. Quickly her hands went to her cheat to feel her beating heart racing like a horse. It was not supposed to be like this. Being scared was not supposed to happen here. Seconds passed before she heard the beautiful voice. 'Everyone stay calm and don't move. Listen with your ears but don't move a muscle. We need to be patient I suspect.' Calmness spread through her. Relief. Of course he knew what to do. And so she obeyed, and stood there, waiting for anything.

It was then a girl spoke up. The same one that had the audacity to run off earlier. "Anyone got a light?" That voice annoyed her. That or it was just the person behind it. She herself made a noise suggesting displeasure, but other than that she smiled. It was a bit funny after all.

Some of his energy restored by the brief rest and more by finally having the monotony of the last few days done, Toshiro had been quickly on his feet when the former Hokage had given his orders. A final check to assure himself that every piece of gear was in place and the white-haired chuunin had taken up his place at the tail-end of the formation, ready to provide over-watch that proved unneeded as not so much as a snake stirred at the group's passage to the impressive double-doors. Doors that he had lent his share of effort in opening before resuming his place at the rear. While a part of him found the paintings and other artistic embellishments of the hallway they entered impressive, and under different circumstances he would happily have copied what he could to bring back, the majority was focused purely on the array of threats that could be concealed by such decoration.

As such Toshiro was the last one to cross the threshold and not unusually surprised when the doors boomed shut behind him seemingly on their own accord. Instead of silently cursed in the privacy of his own head as what illumination the fading sunlight had given them was replaced by total blackness. 'Damn it. Of course they would be counter-weighted.' When from out of that darkness came the unmistakable voice of one Uzumaki Robin, the chuunin felt just a tinge of relief. "Everyone stay calm and don't move. Listen with your ears but don't move a muscle. We need to be patient I suspect." If the former Hokage wasn't agitated than it was unlikely that anything had - so far - tried to capitalize on that moment of disorientation. Plus there as the implicit order to stay silent and not use any light sources to be considered.

So it was that instead of breaking one of the glow sticks he had taped to his forearm Toshiro had stretched his senses to their limits to pick up the faintest hint of danger. He was still responsible for making sure nothing tried to come up from the rear and he would be damned if he let something as minor as pitch blackness render him derelict in that duty. Of course with that attention to the slightest change there was no way for the chuunin to miss the voice, easily recognizable as the full-of-herself genin from before, that just had to pipe up with some wisecrack. It took a considerable effort for Toshiro to not take a step away from her in case some automatic defense was now aimed in her direction due to that noise. Instead he kept shifting his "point of focus" around to keep from one sense to another to keep from getting the non-visual equivalent of "tunnel vision" while silently wishing he could replace the blonde ditz with one of his own genin. Head cases they may be and hardly the most subtle, at least they knew to take a situation like this seriously.

As everyone was being woken up Yoru looked around at the group. Some of them groggy others just anxious to get the mission going. Though Yoru didn't get as much rest as he had hoped due to the spirits constant moans he still got enough sleep. As he tightened his scarf around his face to keep the sun from burning him he followed behind the third hokage as they made their way to the temple.

As they finally approached the giant temple Yoru felt not just a sense of awe but also a powerful aura within the temple. Whether it was because of the bag or something else he was still really worried. As the rest of the group opened the door Yoru reached into his pack and drew out a kunai not wanting to be jumped by some manner of creature that could be sleeping inside.

When nothing came out Yoru relaxed for a moment but still remained vigilant. As they entered the temple Yoru looked over all of the walls in awe. The beauty of the art was amazing but at the same time he felt the urge to run over to the walls and examine walls for any form of information.

Just as he was ready to run up to the walls the doors closed behind them cutting off all of the light. "Figures the doors would close." He thought to himself. As the Hokage gave out orders to not move and remain calm Yoru began to feel his way around the area with his mind. Using his sixth sense more to see then his actual eyes. Until the blonde Kunoichi said,"Anyone got a light?" Though it was a good way to relieve some of the stress others were no doubt feeling Yoru felt it was a waste of air. Again he began feeling around for whatever he could find.

Gift of the Gods: The Wind Temple Aburam10

Shuhei eyes widened as the door close behind him, completely taking any visibility he had on the area away. He smiled as he began to process the thoughts. He had some advantage, or so he thought and that was his bugs. "Everyone stay calm and don't move. Listen with your ears but don't move a muscle. We need to be patient I suspect." Shuhei remained calm as the Hokage spoke. But the reason that Robin did not know what was happening himself made him a little uncomfortable.

Shuhei had attempted to place one bug on every single persons clothing without them knowing. He also noticed the smart remark Kemuri had made. But instead of saying something he kept quiet and listened to his surroundings like he was told to. In any other circumstance he would not really follow orders from such person even if he was the Hokage. But this time was different...all their lives were at stake. And a wrong movement from anyone's part would most likely put them in danger. If this place was as dangerous as people claim it to be, there would most likely be less shinobi of the leaf coming out of here. Shuhei in the other hand would come out of here alive even if it took him everything he had on him to do so.

"Meanwhile I will let me bugs scan the area until we have some source of light." Shuhei said as his destruction bugs began to spread around the area. This was best considering he didn't have to move, nor did anyone else of the group.

PostSubject: Re: Gift of the Gods: The Wind Temple Gift of the Gods: The Wind Temple EmptyTue 23 Oct 2012, 10:32 am

After taking her short nap, consuming some food and water, and then stretching her muscles and joints thoroughly, Tani had found herself with at least ten more minutes of rest time to use. Deciding to retake her position in the sand for a little more relaxation, she was a little surprised when a hand was pressed to her shoulder and she was gently shaken while the voice of the female Chuunin in their group quietly cooed for her to awaken. The young girl had to supress a smile as she opened her eyes and blinked in the sunlight, putting on a little fake grogginess while thanking the woman for her care; she hadn’t been asleep, but she appreciated that she was on the team’s mind and would be awoken in such a kind manner. As the older Kunoichi walked away and Tani’s memory kicked in, remembering she’d called herself Tusyo Hani, the girl swiftly rose to her feet, stripping off her large white cloak as she went. The heat of the desert sun immediately warmed the girl’s skin as she stood in her combat gear, flicking the sand from her coat before neatly folding it and placing it in the bottom of her pack; inside the temple she’d be more concerned with movement than with exposure to the elements. As the group moved off Tani checked she had all the gear she’d need before leaving her heavy pack behind on the dune, not wanting to cart her traveling supplies around the temple with her, before quickly catching up.

At the bottom of the dune Tani was reunited with her childhood friend, receiving a playful nudge she interpreted as a comment along the lines of ‘Slow poke~’ with a grin and a quirked eyebrow. If they’d been a little further from the temple the girl would tease her friend about how much she’d laugh if Kemuri were to be forced to walk home on her hands, but her usual light-heartedness was put on hold for the mission; she’d rather not die because she was too busy messing around to pay attention to a booby trap. As the group of now bright eyed and bushy tailed ninja climbed the crumbling steps to the temple doors, the girl held her tongue, reacting only with a wider grin at Muri’s teasing comment about actually going inside; she was good at keeping Tani’s mood up in more tense situations.

When the young kunoichi joined the group effort to force open the heavy doors, expecting to be greeted by cobwebs, grime and more rubble, she was surprised to see a mass of fancy paintings and artsy things waiting instead. Surprised; but nothing else. Though she caught one or two of her companions gawking, Tani herself just wasn’t overly interested in such things, even if they were pretty, and was more concerned with why the inside could be so pristine after being so long abandoned. Before she could look further into the layout and contents of the room beyond the flashy treasures, however, Tani’s vision was stolen by the booming closure of the doors behind them. ‘Damn it..’ She thought as she tried to blink the disorienting white afterimages from her eyes, maybe they should have tried to prop those open somehow..

'Everyone stay calm and don't move. Listen with your ears but don't move a muscle. We need to be patient I suspect.' Tani froze at the instruction of the Hokage, wondering how many of the party had needed the order for calm as she listened intently for something, anything, that could be on the offense. After a few moments of silence, however, she wondered just what she was listening for and found herself becoming a little restless. Were her comrades still standing nearby? Was something happening that she couldn’t hear? How were those stone doors blocking so much light that even after a little adjustment time she still couldn’t make out a thing; not even the barest of slivers from stony cracks? Something about this structure was off, and it was slowly starting to niggle at the girl. She was about to cautiously inquire about performing Hotaru Uchuu Shoukan to light up the space a bit when a familiar voice met her ears. ”Anyone got a light?” Tani exhaled audibly in relief; she’d never admit it, but through the sheer weight of the darkness, she’d started to feel inexplicably and deeply alone. Just as she opened her mouth to offer up her abilities to bring light to the group, another familiar voice, though to a much lesser extent, cut through the suffocating darkness.

"Meanwhile I will let my bugs scan the area until we have some source of light." It was Mask Boy. Tani thanked him in her mind for having some way of scouting things out subtly, a skill she very definitely lacked. Subconsciously her stance shifted ever so slightly so her muscles were ready to spring at sudden developments, and though nobody could see it, a focused and determined look spread across her face. Having someone doing something put her a little more at ease, and gave her a little more confidence in the situation; she couldn’t stand sitting around waiting like targets begging to be hit. “If Shuhei-san’s bugs find it’s clear to do so, I can make us some light..” She offered to the group at barely more than a whisper, not wanting to speak over any important sounds. She hoped their leader would respond quickly, under normal circumstances she didn’t mind the dark; on the contrary she found it blissful and comforting, it was a different case however when that darkness was in a hostile situation. She’d rather light everything up.

PostSubject: Re: Gift of the Gods: The Wind Temple Gift of the Gods: The Wind Temple EmptySat 27 Oct 2012, 8:42 am

Darkness engulfed the beams of light within an instant as the doors shut with a thud, effectively sealing the Konohagakure shinobi within Fuujin’s temple. Robin, the leader of this particular expedition had instructed all members of his party to remain perfectly still as the doors closed and everybody lost something they had always taken for granted; vision. Despite the definite order that was given to the group, various shinobi within the squadron didn’t take their sensei’s words as literally as he had implied them. Whether it was the Aburame boy sending out a hive of his insects to scout the room while they could not see themselves, the Haretsu girl who prepared kneading clay within the mouths on her hands to prepare for the worst or the white haired fellow shuffling through his bags and pockets to see if he had anything that could be used as a source of light.

Somewhere in between all these devious little movements something was triggered, something that would have surely been inevitably triggered unless everybody was planning on standing in their spots for the rest of their days. There was no warning of what was about to come, even a group of shinobi on high alert would be caught off guard as the walls began to shift at such a speed, before any action could be taken the groups were split. The floor would follow suit and move with the walls as gravity come into play. Yoru, Shuhei, Toshiro and Hani would fall for what would feel like forever before hitting a pool of water each with their own splash. The water was cold, but not freezing and once they were out of it they would more than likely be amazing by how blue it was, this water was as pure as it got. As they would reach the surface of the water for air they would notice a source of light now, two torches enough to illuminate the room they fell into. What was once their floor was now their roof, with no way back up and no apparent way to exit this room they appeared to be trapped. The mass of water was too deep to reach the bottom of, and if they were able to they would find nothing. With sources of light and water that was more than likely drinkable what else did this place have to offer? Unlike where they had fallen from the walls were bare, once they able to step onto the light brown steps that were in the water and lead out onto a higher level they would see a stone bench and nothing more. Nothing of comfort was offered besides from a seat that looked like it would fit two bottoms at best and whatever they happened to carry on them at the time.

As for the others, Robin, Kemuri and Tani had been rocketed up from the floor each one of them by themselves at a reasonable pace. Their sides were concealed and there was no escape as they would continue to rise until they reached a large open space at what was assumed to be the top of the temple. The walls to their sides would drop down as they would be revealed to each other, the trio of shinobi managing to see each other from the numerous light sources they had in this open area, the walls were bare just like the companions they were separated from, a fountain of water stood before Tani, to the left of Robin and to the right of Kemuri. The three would venture around the big room they were trapped within but there would be no probable exits and despite anything they would try, explosive or otherwise the walls were more than adequate enough to remain intact and in fact barely appear to be damaged at all. The secrets of the temples pristine condition may be revealed by the parties, as their attempts to escape from their rooms would be futile, was this place really protected by a God? Although some of the shinobi may not have come to terms with it straight away, all they could do was sit tight and wait for something to happen.

But the party was actually one person short, each group would have obviously thought the missing person was with the other group but little would they know that one of the Genin had been completely isolated by the movement of the walls. Sael Sanaka actually began to fall with the other four ninja but he himself would only fall ten or so metres before meeting the hard ground, as the walls would continue to shift Sael would be the first to fall victim to the temples many traps, not counting the shifting walls and floors of course. The puppeteer ironically enough would become trapped within one of his puppets, the one referred to as Tortoise. Once he was separated from everybody else he noticed the roof above him in the small area he was closed within begin to crumble and soon fall, taking cover inside his puppet which was designed for this exact reason Sael would appear to be unharmed by the debris he would however become pinned down by it. It would be here he remained until one of his comrades found him; if they found him.

Adam’s Notes:

  • Hyuga2920 aka Sael Sanaka is not effectively out of the event as per the 48 hour rule, seeing as the deadly parts haven't come into play yet his character hasn't been killed off. Others may not be so fortunate, keep up guys.
  • You're now spilt up into two groups, you will each carry on within your own threads to make sure things move a little quicker. One round of posting then you wait for my instructions or posts.
  • Above is an example of me controlling your characters, regardless of what you guys attempt to do to avoid the moving walls, dropping floors or the entrapment within your rooms. It will be effortless, my result is inevitable. Though I definitely implore you to try, seeing as this is all against your will I doubt any of the ninja want to be trapped. In accordance to the thread, you will be stuck within these rooms for a total of three days, I'd like you to roleplay what you do each day, anything you try to do to escape etc. Be creative and remember your chakra is important.
  • Celene, Nuclear, Ace and Yoru now post HERE! You guys will be referred to as Group One.
  • Dan, Wani and Jelly now post HERE You guys will be referred to as Group Two.
  • All notes and rules in this thread apply to the threads above.
  • Posting order is as I've listed above, which means Celene and Dan have 48 hours to post as of my post then so on and so forth.
