Just one or two things I feel would help the site in general:

A list of characters according to affiliation and rank. Just figured it'd be nice to have so that people can check the power balance and whatnot at a glance.
A guide on each of the ranks giving a brief and generalized outline of what they are capable of. I know that part of the RP experience is to break away from such conventions but it would be good to have a guide on what exactly Genin, Chuunin etc. generally can and cannot do along with a description of their roles within the village. Might clear things up regarding character behavior as well as differences in ability.

Might come up with more later but these two really jumped out at me

A list of all those approved would be quite nice to have, but ultimately it'll become a bit of a nuisance to update and simply be left to gather dust. Alternatively, Konoha does have the Squads which give a list of everyone who's active or should be active and Kumogakure does have something similar, though a tad out of date. Members are also able to look in the Approved Characters section, where everyone should have their rank, whether title or letter, within the topic title, so finding a Chuunin or Jounin shouldn't be too hard of a task.
I thought we had a set of descriptions already in place, but now that you mention it I came seem to find them. So we'll get to work on those descriptions as soon as possible, thanks for pointing that out.

Just because something is a nuisance doesn't mean it isn't worth doing. If its something that'll gather dust its because you don't believe whoever is assigned to it will maintain it. In which case, doesn't that suggest a need for better staff?

No, it doesn't suggest a need for better staff. It suggests a need for more active and reliable members, who don't leave for six months for some unexplained reasons only to return acting like they have any idea what's going on. Hint hint. I'm not very appreciative of your tone towards the staff, constantly calling us incapable and inadequate. This being only one example. By definition, a nuisance is something that requires way too much energy to take care of, and provides a very small luxury. I have yet to hear members complain to me, or any of the staff, about how they cannot find a specific member. Everyone knows where the approved character section is. Why on earth do we need to have a system in place for something that exists by nature. A list that shows all active members is not only a nuisance, it's also impossible to keep track of. Some members disappear without a word, while others actually give us a just cause. Most of the times, it's the former that occurs. So to call us irresponsible for such a nuisance, is incredibly insulting. Thank you, have a nice day.

Perhaps your Administrator shouldn't request my return then. It is not my idea to come back after six months of work and college, but instead at Adam's request. Now, Mr. Moderator Group Moderator, am I attacking you, or any of your crew specifically? No. If the moderators are not the issue, very well. But you're right. I haven't been here. That's why I am questioning. That's why I am bringing things up. But what is a nuisance isn't based on definition my friend- Its based on perception. So if you and Cookie Monster think something like a guide to the various members of villages is a nuisance and not worth the time or value it has to new members, then very well. But I think its a fine idea, particularly if Shinji is willing to take the time out of his day to do it.

I'm used to personal attacks, Enzo. But please stay professional, even if you don't think I am. If my opinion isn't necessary, then maybe your head of staff shouldn't be so eager to call me here, just maybe?

Well actually, yes it can mean it's not worth doing. As Enzo's rightly said, we have members come and go, some stick around with us loyally, while others drop off after a month or two. If we were to have this list, then it requires us to constantly chase up members who fall inactive, which in itself is a difficult task as some members offer a lack of communication with the forum when leaving for college, university or any other reason that requires them to take a pause from US. Ultimately, it'd just be a waste of time for the Staffer in charge and a list, as said, that would simply gather dust.

It's not down to having a need for "better Staff", we have a select group of people who are hard working, efficient and dedicated to their job. It is not their job to keep on having to check up on members to see where they are, that's your own responsibility, not ours. Now, as I've said previously, there are other methods of finding out who has an approved character and what rank they are. Taking thirty seconds out to see the approved Jounin, Chuunin or Genin within Konohagakure or Kumogakure isn't a hard task and completely defeats the need for a list.
