| Another day had passed, and still, there had been no word of Hani coming back to the village, and Yoroi was still waiting for her to send word of her endeavors. She would be busy with a mission, so this would most likely not happen as a result of time, or actually a lack of said time. As such, there was no reason for Yoroi to hang around the village doing nothing, for it was not something he enjoyed doing, nor was it a place he enjoyed being in as much as the forests or the mountains. Luckily for him, he could go wherever he wanted to without any problems, because he knew the road in the forest like the back of his own hand, and there was a place that he had been meaning to go to for quite some time now. When he was still a child, there was a place he used to go to in order to train his body, to train himself in ways that would break regular human bodies in little to no time at all. Yoroi had realized at a very young age that it was his body that was much stronger then that of other animals, and that he could wield his own bones like weapons to help him in the hunt. When he did, he learned a great deal of things about his body and the limits of it, knowing that he could lift fairly large rocks over his head, could run for extended periods of time and survive from deep cuts and claw wounds. This had been put to the test when he had been fighting boars, wolves and even bears, their tusks, fangs and claws doing a number on him on more then one or two occasions. It felt like it would be the perfect day for Yoroi to go out into the forests again, not as a means of having fun or exploring, but to see if he still had what it took to bring down one of nature’s fierce fighters. As he set out into the forest, there was no way of telling exactly what he would find, though he was hoping to encounter a brown bear, for they were the kind of opponent that would be a true test of strength and endurance for the young Kaguya. The bear was a creature that was not hard to find, though it was likely to be on it’s hibernation period either now or within the next couple of weeks, which would make it quite hard. Still, Yoroi refused to give up on finding a worthy adversary, and kept marching down the main road for a couple of kilometres before taking a turn, taking him straight into the woods. After several hours of walking, he stumbled upon something that would be quite enough for today’s training, a mature wild boar, from the looks of it, a male too. Stomping his foot on the ground, he let the animal know that he was there, his bones ready to jut out of his flesh and form deadly weapons.
Standing face to snout with the large male specimen, the boar made it more then clear that he was preparing to charge, and to puncture and rip Yoroi’s flesh with it’s large tusks. Looking the beast in the eyes, it seemed like the best decision to stand very still, and move in the last given moments. It had been very effective in the past, and there was a major change of it working out this time. Inside of him, the bones in his chest started growing and shifting, forming an internal armor that would protect his organs from the impact, as well as the menacing tusks on the monstrous boar. As it charged at him, Yoroi stepped into a defensive stance, letting the beast get close to him. Two seconds before it made contact with him, bones extended from both his wrists and his knees, stabbing the animal in both sides as it’s thick skull slammed into Yoroi’s chest. Pushing him back several meters, it nearly forced him down, the bone blades puncturing his organs not dealing enough damage to stop it from moving, yet. As Yoroi’s feet finally got enough footing to stop himself from being forced back, he jabbed the animal several times by ramming his knee into it, thus forcing a third bone blade to enter it’s body several times in a repeated fashion.
It took several minutes of force from both sides, the bones puncturing several organs and causing the animal to slowly get drowsy as it choked on it’s own blood, though this was not a one sided battle. Yoroi’s flesh had also been punctured by the tusks, scrapping against the bone armor that had been in effect. If the animal was to force him down, there was a chance that it could apply enough force to crack his bones under the pressure, and thus destroy Yoroi’s organs before the Boar too would die. Not ready to let the animal just kill him, he kept his body up, not giving the animal any room to cause more damage, while the boar had the same thing in mind. After five crucial minutes, the boar collapsed, causing it’s tusks to retract from Yoroi’s chest, and dropping to the ground. Panting loudly, it fought for survival, though it was a futile effort, for it would die in a couple of minutes. Standing over the animal, Yoroi retracted all of his bones, keeping but one of them sticking out of his body as he looked at the animal for a second. “You were a worthy adversary, and you made it worth going out here. Thanks to you, I proved to myself that I can still walk this forest as a predator, and am not yet done growing stronger. For that, I thank you” he said, though his facial expression did not change one bit. This did not mean that he was not completely serious about the things he had said, for he rarely spoke in such a way, least of all to an animal.
With that, Yoroi granted the animal a quick death, keeping it from suffering any longer then it had to. Stabbing the remaining blade right into it’s eye, he could feel that he broke a section of the beasts skull, punctured through the boar’s brain and went out at the other end, killing it instantly. This did not mean that his training was finished, because he still had to drag the large animal back to the village. Placing it’s front legs and head over his shoulders, he started a final test of endurance by dragging it home all the way to Konohagakure, which was a good seven kilometres away. It took him a little over two hours to get back, though he had done it without stopping along the way, and he felt proud of what he had done today. After dropping the animal off near the shack he lived in near the village gates, he went out to receive treatment in the hospital, which closed up his wound rather quickly, keeping it from getting infected, something Hani had taught him to do. That night, he had a feast on his hands, not having any fresh and greasy boar in years.
