Fuuton SC and Sound Weaponry

Sound Element. Accessible at Jounin.

Now from what I've discussed with some staff, if a technique cannot be used without a weapon, it is a weaponry technique (Melody Arm is required for Resonating Echo Drill, Arm Tubes are required for Decapitating Airwaves technique). So if this is true, I assume, that one can replicate these techniques without the items so long as they have the Fuuton Mastery SC? Or is sound somehow important to these items which both use the manipulation of Fuuton to guide their effects?

So can we figure out EXACTLY what is up?

I don't really understand your question. You seemed to have answered it yourself. Fuuton Mastery SC gives you the Sound Element. Therefore you can use sound techniques. The weapons you listed can obviously create sounds (Although the latter is arguably a Fuuton jutsu since it has much more to do with air pressures and air currents than it does air vibration). So.. what exactly is your question?

You'd need Fuuton to manipulate the air waves accordingly, since that's a characteristic of Fuuton; but you wouldn't need Sound Release unless you planned on using ninjutsu with sound abilities. Denying you the ability to manipulate sound with the weapon would be like saying "You can't have a smoke bomb because you don't have Katon Mastery."

Basically, you'd need Fuuton Release but not Fuuton Mastery to use those weapons (which is why they're B-ranked chakra conductive weapons).

I can't imagine how it would. It's useless if you plan to only use your weapon for sound-based jutsu, but if you plan on using sound-based ninjutsu, you'll need that SC.

So it's 40% bonus to Fuuton techniques doesn't apply?

Well of course it applies, however the sound properties aren't going to necessarily apply for the weapons due to them.. well.. having the ability already.
