Name: Fuuton Master
Rank: A
Type: Chakra Based
Physical Requirements: Must have Fuuton Prodigy
Training Requirements: A 1600 word training post is required to gain this special characteristic.
Description: The title given to those elite ninja who've become legendary for their power and skill over the wind element. Being classified as a prodigy during their early years, the ninja has now mastered the wind element and attains great power from their continuous training. The ninja's wind techniques are now 40% more destructive, which is measured via the increase in pressure, size, and slicing ability. The user can now naturally produce wind chakra around them which can deflect small things such as weapons and create small gales. Through such mastery they also gain the ability to access a sub-element from the wind element known as 'Sound Release'. This allows them to create specialized jutsu under this sub-element.

Knowing that she was on to something spectacular when she had been training her Fuuton chakra and jutsu back in the village, Kimiko had ventured out to her old training ground once more in the Fire Country. The land had taken a beating from her last training session here to say the least; the forest surrounding the area was still scorched and felled burnt trees made a strange zig-zag pattern as a border. The grass had been burnt to the point where little remained, leaving the land like a bald barren patch where it had once been lush. And today she was back to wreak more havoc on the land. Today in the form of tearing wind. She was garbed sensibly in a breathable blue t-shirt and black shorts of a similar material. Sturdy black knee high boots capped with silver were on her feet. She wasn’t taking any chances with her clothing today; she didn’t want them ripped and falling off her body in a similar fashion like when she had been training her Katon chakra when they had burnt off. These clothes had been designed for braving storms with high-pressure gales present. They were presents from her cousins, aunts and uncles in Kumo when she had left the foreign village which would always hold true as a second home for her. And thus, feeling much more prepared than she had done when she was previously training her elemental chakra nature, she closed her eyes to concentrate and get this started. Using a similar method to ones she had used before, she focused all her Fuuton chakra at the centre point of her body, compressing it to a much smaller size and trying to contain it there. She found her Fuuton chakra was much more unruly than her Katon chakra, if that was possible, as both were very uncontrollable sources. But she managed to make the chakra stay in its little ball in her chest, and started making familiar hand seals. “Juha: Shou!” She called out, pushing her palm outwards forcefully, and from her outstretched palm a large gust of wind sprouted forth. The gust soon formed the technique’s characteristic blade formations, and she worked hard to keep the technique going as a continuous stream while she started her mental battle.

She furrowed her brow a little, concentrating on the ball of raging Fuuton chakra that she was currently using for her technique and slowly but surely started to push it outwards. Whereas before it was unruly and didn’t want to stay in place, now it didn’t want to move anywhere. She imagined that it would difficult, however, and wasn’t about to give up now. She pumped more chakra into her technique, feeling the pressure around her increase. Wind whipped at her hair, so violently that it forced her hair straight upwards, flapping about in the air. She had never experienced wind flying around her while performing a technique, so this was a new sensation to be sure. She felt her gust of bladed wind elongate and she felt the vibrations in the air as the technique reached the outlying forest, ripping the trunks of trees to shreds. If she had her eyes often, she would see that the wind was even starting to tear at the ground below, hurling up small chunks that became increasingly larger with the more chakra she put into the jutsu. She could also see the devastation that her technique was causing the forest. Leaves were scattering themselves across the whole clearing, and she knew this by the cool feel of a leaf landing on her outstretched arm. More followed this, and in a way she was glad that her eyes weren’t open to witness the damage she was doing to poor old mother nature. ‘I’m sorry for this, I really am.’ She thought to herself, grabbing and yanking at the invisible lines currently encasing her Fuuton chakra at her chest. ‘But it’s a necessary requirement for me to grow stronger…’ She didn’t know quite who she was saying sorry to. A god or to herself, she didn’t know. But somehow it made her feel a little better.

She released the jutsu when she felt herself at her current limit, dropping her arm and panting slightly as she watched the blades of wind lose their form and turn into harmless gusts that merely tickled the trees. She hadn’t moved the invisible lines very much, but she could feel the power which she had used to perform her earlier technique. That was encouraging to say the least. She smiled to herself a little, holding her hands out and looking at them while she curled them into determined fists. She had to continue until this power was a permanent feeling, not just elation from an initial victory. She started to make more hand seals, different this time, for another technique. “Juha: Reppushou!” She called out, a technique similar but rather different to her last. The characteristic beastly claw protruded from her outstretched palm, extending further than it normally would do. Her eyes fluttered closed when she saw that her jutsu had been successful, and it was now that the real work began. She powered more chakra into the technique, feeling the claw travel further still until it crashed into the trees on the far side of the clearing. The surrounding pressure of the technique itself had swept numerous trees out of the ground and thrown them up into the air, and managed to rip large chunks out of even the biggest trees present in the forest. The beast palm opened and closed continuously, hacking and slashing at trees and the ground as well when there were no more trees left to target. It felt as though the gale of wind in the technique spread all across the clearing, hitting the cliffs behind her and churning the water in the fresh lake. Although that was impossible, it spurred her on to continue regardless.

This time, pushing the boundaries were much easier than it had been before. The invisible lines almost gave way for her instead of giving her an almighty mental battle to push them apart. She aimed for her fingertips, pushing for her fingertips, when the ball of Fuuton chakra was currently at her chest. The further she pushed the chakra, the more power she felt pumping in the technique, to the point where she could feel her special clothing start to rip and tear. That was an achievement in itself, but she couldn’t stop now. She was so nearly there, so close but yet so far… Having reached her elbows with the chakra, she felt herself awash with physical and mental exhaustion, but there was no way she was about to give up. She kept on pushing and upheld her jutsu even longer even though her chakra was being sucked out in great amounts. It doesn’t matter.’ She thought fiercely, almost as though her inner voice was speaking through gritted teeth. ‘My chakra will replenish and I can buy new clothes. Right now I need to focus on getting stronger!’ And thus she did, pushing and pushing at the Fuuton chakra, making it grow and spread. The chakra was responding well to her giving it more room for roaming as she realised now that a fierce gale all its own had sprung up around her, without any further effort from her. Finally, she felt the familiar tingle at the end of her fingers, and she knew that she had done it. She exhaled deeply in relief, dispelling her technique and sinking to her knees on the rock hard ground. It was then that she examined the damaged land in more detail. The pathway that her techniques had cut were massive, including the ground below in its journey to the forest. Chunks of earth had been upturned and thrown about, leaving a great long crater. Trees were uprooted, great gashes left them bleeding splinters. Leaves filled the clearing, and she saw many bear trees as well. She smiled, happy to have done as she set out to do needless to say, even if she did feel awful for ruining this beautiful, fertile land. Water had been sloshed out of the lake, so her latter jutsu had indeed reached all the way back there despite her contrary beliefs.

So she had done it. She was now able to call herself a master in both Katon and Fuuton jutsu, and that was a feat many couldn’t admit to without being untruthful. She flopped back onto the ground, expecting cool grass and getting solid rock. She winced slightly as she knew it was her fault, but it could not be helped. She gazed up at the sky, at the birds lazily whirling in amongst the low white clouds, at the invisible winds that moved said clouds and gave birds the means to hover. She could now control that wind if she wished, she could raise a hand and control it, make it faster or make it disappear at her will. But she didn’t. Not only was she too tired to so much as lift a hand, she didn’t think it right. Although the destruction in this land was satisfying to look at it, she also held a tinge of guilt for ravaging it so much. First it received a complete and utter scorching, and now it had been torn to shreds. But then she cast her mind onto other thoughts, like what an opponent would do if one of her newly powered up Katon or Fuuton Ninjutsu hit them. ‘To a human body, the destruction would be far greater…’ Better pleased with this thought and knowing the power she now held, she closed her eyes and dreamt of hopeful glory to come.
