goodbye one last time

This will probably come as a shock to many of you. Some will be more surprised than others but I guess that's the nature of the world. I've said it more than once before but this time will be the last: goodbye US. I've had a great time here and hopefully I've helped some of you have a good time here as well. My reasons for leaving are more personal than anything else but I will say that a big part of why I'm doing this is that I simply don't enjoy it like I used to. It's not necessarily due to negative experiences, just me changing over time.

To the staff: Keep at it. I know there are days that absolutely suck but in in the end, try to remember that the reason you put in all the time and effort is love; love for the community, love for creativity and love for the art form that is roleplaying. That in itself is reason enough for you to push through and do what you do.

To the members: Never stand still. Always seek new storylines to develop your character with, new ideas for improving the site and new elements to add to your writing. Change is the spice of life and it's frequently been the reason this place stands out from the crowd. Embrace it and you will find yourself better for it.

Well, what should be said has been said and what needs to be done has been done. I hope you all continue to grow as writers and people and that this place remains a source of joy for you in the same way it was for me

Han, I may not have gotten to know you as well as I have wanted too on here, but I did get you know you relatively well in my own opinion, and as such I can say that I will truly miss you on here, and a friend and a fellow RPer. Anyways, people need to stop getting so worked up over forums - all this drama is not at all necessary. Most the people here are smart-asses or just plain assholes, and it's amazing how much good ignoring them or laughing at their idiocy does for me - you all should try it sometime. This is a forum for writing whatever dramatic or sadistic ideas come to mind, that doesn't mean the whole site has to be a drama itself. I know this is a Naruto site, but people need to seriously grow the fuck up. Especially since most of you are adults.

I apologize for the foul language, but I won't apologize for anything I've said. If you take offense to it, I honestly don't give a shit. And that's my two cents on the matter.

Warrants repeating.

Even an unrepentant jackass with a dry and very off-color sense of humor like myself knows to not take things personally until the other guy starts getting personal with the insults. Especially a few people here (names I will NOT mention) who take any criticism the same as an insult to their ability. An attitude that explains why mistakes are made, pointed out, and still repeated in a variety of things.

And anyone offended at Phantom's language needs to do a little bit of a self-exam to make sure they aren't being hypocrites. I see quite a bit of stuff that can be considered just as (if not more depending on the reader) offensive going on in the chat box (why I avoid it), and no one says a word about it - not even staff members.
