A Question on Elements

I'd like to pose some hypothetical questions which have no effect on my current character or any immediate plans I have. These are merely to further my understanding of the site and possibly to plan for the future. I by no means mean to intend to pick a debate, which I'm aware is a habit of mine.

Most of these are based around combination elements as of the moment.

Firstly, how would the site respond to someone wanting to make a combination of two elements that, either on the site or in the canon, have already been shown to make a different element? Would you allow both combinations exist? Would you give priority to the canon or to one made by a user on the site?

Another particular example is Lava. Lava has been shown to be used by multiple different canon ninja, via either Bloodline or Bijuu. However, you guys specifically have stated your desire to want to make Bijuu's "Special" as apparently having immense chakra and a demonic symbiosis didn't make ya special, lol. But specifically, I'd assume a Clan using Lava would be denied, despite it being shown as a viable Kekkai Genkai. My question, then, would be if I could still make a clan combining Katon and Doton, but not make Youton. The first example that could come to mine would be a Metal-Based clan. Why metal? Well. Forging weapons normally involves minerals mined from the earth then crafted with intense heat. Hence, Earth+Fire=Metal. Since you guys have decided advance elements to not be allowed, it seems metal would be viable as a Manipulation KG. However, there comes the snag that Fire and Earth are already combined to make Youton. Granted, you guys have already made it clear Youton is a special case allowed only for the Bijuu, so one could speculate that when non-bijuu users combine the two, they naturally get something else, lacking the demon chakra which turns it into the more volatile Youton. That said, its simply some thoughts I've been having.

Another one worthy of considering is Sand. Sand has never been suggested to be a Dual Element. You guys seems to hint at that sand is a combination of wind and earth, primarily I think because the Bijuu utilized wind jutsus, but strictly speaking, its not truly a dual element. Not to the canon anyway. And yes, yes, I'm aware, you guys pick and choose, and that's not a bad thing. So I pose the same question to you- Would you deny a KG combining Wind and Earth chakra to make a new element, because you require Wind and Earth for sand? Also, I wanna point out that the Ichibi says it requires you to have Earth as a Main element and Wind as sub element in its spoiler description, but above it only lists Sand and Wind as Elemental affinities. Granted, I know its harder to think of Doton+Futon KGs than Doton+Katon KGs. In both cases, I don't suggest letting KGs imitate Bijuus, despite the canon suggestion of that being painfully possible it seems. No, I only ask is whether or not Kekkai Genkais can do something DIFFERENT with the same two elements.

I'm going to assume off-hand that three element combination are just not gonna happen, or they're gonna be a very special case Razz

Finally, in the case of two clans not being allowed to use the same two elements for their two different combination elements, what if, say, a Fire+Wind clan is archived. I'd assume someone would be allowed then to make a new Fire+Wind clan? What would you do if someone with the archived clan returned after a break? Would they lose their clan, so as to now allow two clans both using Fire and Wind for their dual element?

This is all hypothetical, I assure you, and I'm simply trying to better understand the policies of the site. Or, if there are no current policies involving them, hopefully suggesting some initiative be taken ^.^

Hokay, this is an easy one to answer, because I know all of it A Question on Elements 287405

First off, we don't have a definite rule against or for having "advanced element isotopes" if you will. Basically, you technically can have Water+Wind = Ice and Water + Wind = Cloud for instance. However, logically speaking for all intensive purposes, I don't see how that would work. The two elements combine to create a specific element. The ratio (probably 1:1) of Water chakra and Wind chakra would be exactly the same for both the ice release and cloud release, so why on Earth would it make two different elements based on bloodline? It doesn't make much rational sense; unless of course you factor in something like the Bijuu, or the ratios aren't equal; which only begs the question of how the advanced element is made if the ratio is off center. Kind of odd to imagine placing twice as much chakra in one hand than another while making hand seals. Takes away the symmetry and energy equality that chakra has been described to have.

Which brings me to your next point. Short answer: yes, you can have (both logically and by the rules of the site) an element consisting of Earth and Fire without it being Lava as the product. As you so validly explained, the demon's chakra can be a major factor in why it becomes lava as opposed to say, metal. Also note, Lava is severely restricted due to how powerful it is unlike sand which is restricted to make Bijuu "special" as you say. Of course, the logical argument behind the demon chakra still stands as our excuse as to why it won't work Razz

In regards to the Bijuu errors; we're currently working on updating the Bijuu list. Ichibi is near the bottom of the list because there are no characters who possess it, so don't expect it to be immediately changed.

Lastly; to clarify, a clan will only be archived if one of three conditions are met:

The creator requests to archive the clan.
The creator becomes inactive and someone else wishes to redo their clan based on the same KKG or combination of elements. Prime example would be the Paper Release clan and the Laser Circus Clan.
The clan is deemed too powerful or outdated on the site, and would need a proper revival (see #2) or a complete removal until such a revival should occur. Prime example of this would be the Scorch Release clan.
